Citrix Printing

Hi,
Firstly sorry if this is not the correct forum but I could not find a relevant one !
We have a problem printing from SAP via Citrix (version PS4.5). When users try to print to printer LOCL (with option F:Printing on front end computer) they receive the following error :
Error: BG:saplpd_opem_dc failed, msg=808 SAPLPD:Windows Problem
Our SAP enironment is R/3 4.7 Enterprise (Basis 6.20 Level 63).
I have checked various other posts and made the following changes on the Citrix server without any joy:
Added the following registry key :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPlpd\SAPLPD
Type: String
Name: SwinDataType
Value: EMF
Set the system-wide environment variable LP_CMD to
d:\apps\sap\frontend\sapgui\saplpd\saplpd -f&F -c&C -P&P
Any help would be appreciated
Craig

Printing using Citrix over SAPLpd is a really complex environment, many things need to "match" (Printer drivers, Citrix client version, SAPLpd (means, SAPGUI version) printers "mapped" from users or created on the TS etc.) and troubleshooting can be pretty cumbersome.
check notes
150533 - Printing in Windows Terminal Server (WTS)
914869 - Front-end printing on Citrix WTS does not work
As you can see from the first note, there may happen quite many problems on different places.
What you could do is to help on short term: Create a new printer with access method "G" and map that as default printer for the people having problems.

  • Citrix Printing SmartForm - Images

    Good night
We put the SAP GUI 7.20 to run it from Citrix XenApp, all images printed through SmartForm or directly through transaction SE78 come out with black block in place of the image.
We are using the Printer "LOCL" and is printed using the Citrix Universal Driver.
Other applications on the Citrix print images normally.
    Has anyone experienced this?

  • "No Printer" sometimes checked (in Citrix)

    Post Author: leonard
    CA Forum: General
Hi. When crystal reports is run on Citrix, we sometimes get the "No Printer" checkbox selected. And it needs to be unchecked everytime before printing. This does not happen all the time. Have tried restarting the Citrix session and eventually there will be a "good" session where the "No Printer" checkbox is not selected.
Has anyone come across this before or is there some simple setting we have overlooked? I assume it must be something to do with how Crystal interacts with Citrix printing because we did not have this issue when we were using Microsoft Terminal Services.
    TIA

    Hi,
Is it a "deskjet 5320" ? I can't find its specs. Pease check the following link to fix:

  • Crystal report print button greyed out in user citrix sessions

    Hi,
We are running Citrix Enterprise Server 4.5 on Windows 2003 servers.
We have a ERP app called Epicor 7.3.6 installed on them.
Crystal Reports 9 is installed on all these servers and the epicor app displays and prints crystal reports.
Some users when logged into their Citrix profile session and running Crystal Reports from within Epicor application can not print the Crystal report because the Print button is greyed out.
We have compared users that can print against users who can not not print and not found anything at the network, file permissions, application permissions, printer setup setting level.
Also, if we were to take citirx completely out of the discussion, what might cause the print button to be greyed out in a crystal report when it is displayed (not the developer, but in the minmal window that shows the export, print, magnify options only).
    Thanks
    Chris

Check with Epicor. We don't know how Epicor implemented the solution so it's kinda like you asking a mechnic to fix your car, but he can't open the hood to see the engine.
A tip; this is more than likely due to permissions. So, compare between boxes thast work and don't work. Use [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx] to track permission issues.

  • Upload PDF directly to printer via Citrix from off-site computers

Is it possible to upload PDF documents directly to the newer HP printers, especially the business printers and copiers (MFDs)?  We have HIPAA-containing data that home-based users must print at work, and therefore cannot be sent via the cloud.
Our current printer vendor supports uploading PDFs directly, which our users are using.  The workflow involves printing via PDFCreator, then opening the web interface print tab of the device they are printing to and uploading, via a browse button, the PDF document.  The connection is handled through our Citrix remote access servers, everything is encrypted, and all data stays out of the cloud.
Because HP's ePrint is in the cloud, we cannot submit HIPAA-containing data via that route.
If no current HP products have that capability, can it be added?  I would think a firmware update to have an upload option would be very doable.  It appears that the ability to print PDFs is already present via ePrint--this would only be another way to submit a print job.
Our current printer vendor's device functionality includes being able to upload and print other print-ready formats, including .PCL and .PS files, but we aren't using that capability currently.  It would be nice to be able to upload .DOC/.DOCX formats directly.

    Hey SPS64,
Thank you for participating in the HP Consumer Support Forums!  The steps you desire are not going to be found on Consumer grade printers, but may be able to be found on some of the Enterprise level printers from HP.  I would advise posting this question on the Enterprise printing boards where there are many experts who would be willing to assist with your question.

  • Quick Print not working after upgrading to Reader XI on Citrix

    Hi,
I've upgraded from Reader 9.2 to 11.0 on our Citrix farm.
After the upgrade the Quick Print function in Outlook 2010 is not working anymore for PDF files. (other files are working fine)
Also, the RightClick --> Print on PDF files in Windows Explorer gives an open-with prompt. (other files are working fine)
Even if I choose Adobe Reader and chech the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", the open-with prompt re-appears the next time I rightclick and choose print.
If I DoubleClick PDF files in Windows Explorer or in Outlook e-mail attachments, Reader opens as it should.
I've also tried to install the latest 11.4 update, without any luck.
The same installation sources were used on several local workstation, where everything is working fine after the upgrade.

It's definitely a Lion's issue as I rolled back to Snow Leopard after struggling with the card reader and surprise....all my cards can be seen again and my MacBook early 2010 works perfectly. Just as it was working before I purchased Lion. What to do? Well I guess there is only one way to fix the problem. We should demand from Apple to debug Lion from this and many other errors in the code. Overall I am not very impressed with my first Lion encounter and will stay on Snow Leopard untill people would be able at least to use the MacBook hardware properly under any Lion built. I have also had so many other issues with Lion that it may take a few hours to list and it's not a purpose of my visit of this thread. Cheers to all and stay cool.

    Sandip,
I remember seeing this post from you before.  I would urge you to follow up on your posts and check the replies before posting them again.  This is mainly because if you keep posting the same questions again inspite of getting answers you might lose credibility in getting replies.  I am saying this in your best interest.
Please see my reply for your previous message
As per what I know you can setup a default Printer for a document (PLD). Also for your situation you should save the same PLD with two different names and default one to each user. Now you have two PLD's for two of your users.
Open the first PLD template and from the design mode of PLD.
    In the Top Menu
Print layout designer > Display document properties -- go to Paper format tab and select the Printer you want the document to print for this PLD user.
Do the same for the other user.
I am not sure how this will work in a distributed environment where you are using CITRIX. Please check with your Network associate.
    Thanks

  • Printing from Citrix ICA Client

Have recently been attempting to connect my husband's medical office to the local hospital through Citrix,(MetaFrameXP). We are a MacOS network running 10.4 on 6 iMac G5s.In addition we are putting this on his MacBookPro running 10.4.8. Citrix ICA Client7.00.407 has been downloaded, redownloaded, installed, uninstalled, reinstalled multiple times on two different workstations. We are finally connected-kudos to Apple support forum suggesting using Firefox. It has been very problematic with no support from the hospital whose liason people have reiterated that they don't support Macs-an understatement. Citrix web site is not much help and their forum for Macs seem to indicate that Citrix isn't responsive to Mac users either. Though we are finally connected, we are unable to print to our HP1320tn. We get a print window with "default printer" in the pull down as the only option. Click it-nothing. Noplace to go to change any print driver options- something that might be corrected on the server at the hospital but from posts to the forum, it looks as though admin guys are having a problem with the fix at their end to. From Citrix forum, this seems to have become more of a problem since their ClientICA upgrade to version 7-our only option. Several posted that they were able to print by going back to version 6 of Client. Great if you've been a user but Citrix advised today by phone that it's not available if it's not on the web-they do not make available older versions. Explained situation to hospital rep and asked to speak to IT guy. He did not want to let me talk to him-says Mac use is a "touchy" subject with the IT department. I'll be pushing that issue further but I'm not certain that they'll be able to help anyway. Does anyone have any ideas or alternately access to ICAClient6 MacOsX that we could get to? I'm definitely feeling like a Star-Bellied Sneetch with stars upon thars. DEW

    Thank you Stress Test.
But I was looking further using the new Citrix name you mentioned and found now this updated Citrix file. It is a file from August 27th. So I will try that one first.

  • Jvm crashes when printing a JTable under Citrix

    Hello,
one of our customers uses Citrix for running our java clients (jre 1.4.2) and experiences the following problem:
whenever someone prints out more than one page (the print of a JTable) the client crashes with the following error log:
An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.

    at sun.awt.windows.WToolkit.run(WToolkit.java:262)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
The printing of only one page seems to work though.
This is our only customer that uses Citrix. In other environments our client works without problems, so it should not be a bug in our program.
Does anyone knows what to do here?
    Matthias

    Hi,
we observe exactly the same behavoiur. We develop a solution where customers can print
database reports. During the printing the jvm crashes with the same exception in GDI32.dll.
It seems to be a specific problem of the citrix enviromment. Because most of our customers use
Citrix we are now in big trouble. Does anyone out here knows a solution for this problem??

  • Printer Mapping with Citrix

    Hi all,
I am using citrix to log in to my employer's network from home. All works well except that, once connected, I cant print to my local home printer. Has anyone successfully printed to their local printer attached to their macs when using Citrix?
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    Hello kr:
FWIW, I used Citrix to access my employer's server when I was in the world of work (until 12/2006). I could never print to my local printer either - and it is networked via Ethernet.

  • Impossible to print with Citrix

    Hi,
We are using Citrix for some of our countries.
It is possible to print any kind of layout when being connected directly onto the server.
But we can print anything while being connected to Citrix.
Error Message is this one : Internal Error (-101) occurred
I know this message is connected to the fact that there is no default printer but this is not the case in our cartography. Indeed, both servers (SBO and Citrix) do have default printers. In addition, we can visualize the printers from Citrix but can't use the default one connected to the end-users.
    Any other solution?
    Thanks
    Stéphane

    Bonjour Stéphane,
I worked with a Citrix/SBO environment and there were printing issues that took some time to work out. I don't know how long you've had the Citrix environment set up, but you may find some useful information in the following link:
    http://www.screencast.com/users/RichardDuffy/folders/SAP%20Business%20One%20Tech%20Tips/media/ab7a6666-7a1e-405d-a74b-5bcfb82b9fc7
The setup I saw, the user's printer settings will be picked up by Citrix and the setup needs to be done properly in order for it to work.
    Hope this helps,
    Heather
