    My Lumia 800 connects to my car (citroen c3 picasso) over Bluetooth. Calls work perfectly, it can even read out my texts to me. But, I can't get my music to stream over Bluetooth. Does anyone know if there's something I can do to make this work?

    Hi Stewpit,
    Welcome to the forum!
    You can play your music files by using standard 3.5 mm audio cable. Nokia Lumia has an American Headset Jack (AHJ) 3.5 mm connector which is compatible with your car 3.5 mm audio connection but it is not supported if you're going to use it over Bluetooth.

  • Nokia 6303 & new Citroen C3

    We have just got a new Citroen C3 (2010) with built in Bluetooth, but I can't get it to connect with my Nokia 6303.  It goes through the process and both can see each other, but at the end it says "connection failure".
    My phone connected ok to my Fiat Grande Punto (2007).
    Any suggestions?

    Sorted!!
    Took the car back to the dealer, they rebooted the Bluetooth software.  The car and phone are now very happily connected!!

  • IPhone 4S Bluetooth will not pair with Citroen c4 grand Picasso

    My new Citroen c4 Picasso can't detect an iPhone 4S or an iPhone 3 via Bluetooth.  A Nokia mobile phone can be detected, so it seems the car's system is ok, so must be an apple/iPhone problem.  Can anyone help, please? Thank you!

  • 5230 and bluetooth Citroen

    I can't get my Nokia 5230 to connect to the blue-tooth on Citroen new C4 car.
    The 5230 is updated and work okay with other blue-tooth items.
    A older Nokia 3110c connected okay and worked fine.
    From Citroen I have got this link for older phones compatibility with the CK-4100 modul.
    http://www.parrotoem.com/download/psa_ck4100/psa-parrot_bluetooth-compatibility.pdf
    What is it that is different on the bluetooth on the older phones and the 5230? Is it possible to download something to make the 5230 work with the Citroen?
    The advice from the dealer is to buy a Ericsson phone..
    Solved!

    Ironically Symbian S40 devices such as 3110 Classic seem much more compatible with carkits than some S60 Smartphones.
    Superficially there seems little difference in connectivity for these two devices as here:

    Has Citröen dealer demonstrated to you any phone working with this Bluetooth kit?

  • Iphone and "new Citroen C3"' factory bluetooth

    Is there anybody who owns a Citroen C3 and connected the iphone to its bluetooth system (Connecting box)?
    I wasn't able.
    The iphone recognizes and shows "Citroen" on the display, the car audio system recognizes and shows "iphone.." on the display. Then the latter asks for a digit code, but NO MATTER WHAT CODE I ENTER the result is the message"Connection failed"
    Note that other phones (bb, nokia, samsung...) can connect! (and their owners laugh at my iphone )
    Please... help!!!

    I had problems pairing my iPhone with my new C3, the procedure seemed to work.
    When I followed the manuals instructions, and the C3 did a scan for Bluetooth devices, it found the iPhone no problem. The multi-function display then seemed to ask for a code from the iPhone, which confused me as the iPhone Bluetooth settings showed nothing that to copy, so what to do?
    Reading this thread sparked an idea why not enter any code into the car and see what happens? Once I had entered the code, the number pad on the iPhone popped-up asked for the code which I typed and the phone just works now.
    The C3 picks up the iPhone whenever I get in, callers names show on the MFD with the sound on the speakers and the built-in microphone works well. Also music streaming works fine. Can't seem to change music from the car controls but I will continue to fiddle with the controls and see what happens.

  • I have problems to connect my iphone 6 with IOS 8.0.2 to my citroen c5.

    My iphone 6 has problems to connect to my citron c5 via bluetooth. After several attempts I was able to pair the phone to the car but neither are the contacts from the phone accessible by the car nor is can I successfully create calls using the car.

    I was having problems with this too. I remember it working okay in iOS 7 and then it breaking in iOS 8.
    Fortunately, I'm now on the iOS 8.1 beta, and can confirm it's working fine for me. Just how it used to. - I guess that's one of the bugs that Apple's new software will bust. We'll just have to wait it out.

  • Pairing BB Q10 with Bluetooth Carkit from Citroen DS 4

    I've bought a Q10 and i'm having problems in pairing it with bluetooth from my car. I already went to car dealer and asked if this phone is supported by car software and the answer was affirmative.
    The questions is that the pairing doesn't work properly. It will pair but functions related with phoning are not working.
    Making calls or receive it is impossible. but what is more strange is that car and phone make the connection.
    can anybody help?

    Hello,
    I'm confused. It pairs OK, but just doesn't work after pairing? Or it doesn't successfully pair? I can't quite tell from your post...
    With my Z10, I know that I had strange results on a 2013 Honda BT car kit at first. It seemed to pair OK, but the car-kit menu items seemed to act oddly. But after rebooting the BB and restarting the car once or twice, things started to function normally.
    Thanks and let us know!

  • My iPod touch will not work with my ubox-f-1107 after updating to iOS 5.1.1

    I have a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2008, I bought the UBOX-F-1107 and had it installed by the dealer here in Spain so that my Ipod touch would work and charge in my car! It worked great until I updated to the ios 5.1.1, now it does not work!!! After I plug it in it powers up, and shows Device Connected on the Ipod screen, but thats it, will not play music at all!! Please HELP!! Thanks

    In order to use iMessage efficiently, add the country code to the mobile number prefix by of your contact and their iMessage ID. You will notice then when selecting the contact name in the TO, the green shade will turn into blue shade. It means your message will be sent as iMessage. Notice if you are sending message to non imessage user, the shade of the contact name is green. It means the message will be sent as text message.

  • FCP is running very slow...

    Hi,
    FCP is running very slow and it is the only application open (besides dashboard). For example, when i move the playhead in the timeline i get the spinning wheel for about 5 seconds.
    I' m working in DV-PAL with .psd files (frame size: 720x576, 1440x1152 and 4320x1152).
    In the system settings i have:
    Memory Usage > Application 100% (351 MB)
    Still Cache 10% (20MB)
    Thumbnail Cache > Disk 8192K
    RAM 512K
    Sequence Settings > Video Processing > Motion Filtering Quality: Best (i' ve tried the others).
    I' ve tried the different options in the RT pop up menu.
    PowerBook G4-1.5 GHz-512 MB-Mac OS X 10.4.7
    Thanks...

    No problem.
    The reason everything goes so slow with only 512MB ram, is because when all the ram is used, Mac OS X starts using your hard drive as memory. It can be explained by a simplified little example:
    The speed of data traveling between CPU and RAM, and between CPU and hard drive.
    CPU <-> RAM = Ferrari
    CPU <-> HD = Citroen 2CV
    The solution to your problem is:
    1) Buy more ram
    2) Buy an external firewire hard drive to put your media on (a dedicated media drive)
    Good luck

  • Lumia 620: bluetooth problems since Black update

    My Lumia 620 did pair correctly with my car via bluetooth. This is a Citroen C5 with NaviDrive 3D system.
    However, since the Black update I have the following problems:
    1) I can successfully pair the 620 once, but it does not reconnect after that.
    2) When I try to switch-off bluetooth after a unsuccessful pairing trial, it does not switch-off completely: the small dots in the screen upper area keep on running and the bluetooth switch stays greyed-out.
    3) When I switch-off the phone completely in this situation it often reboots instantly.
    Is someone else recognising these issues?

    Thanks for the update, @NL620NL. We can't comment yet if this issue will be addressed by the Lumia Cyan WP 8.1 update, though SW updates are released to fix reported bugs and improve the features of the phone's OS. If resetting the phone didn't work, try restoring its software using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. See this link: Nokia Software Recovery Tool. The link for the recovery app will lead you to the Nokia UK website. Best to search it in the local Nokia support page: Way Finder - Nokia.
    Note that this will wipe out all your phone's data, so making a backup is highly advised. Check this link for the steps on backing up your files: Nokia Lumia 620 - Back up and restore data on your phone.
    Let us know how it will go.

  • [JS][CS3] Selection Menu with images

    I have no idea it this is possible, but I have written this code at the start of a script to select a function within the script:
    myDialog = app.dialogs.add({name:"Catalogue Selector"});
    with(myDialog)
            with(dialogColumns.add())
              with(dialogRows.add())
                   staticTexts.add({staticLabel:"Select the required catalogue:"});
                   myOptionButtons = radiobuttonGroups.add();
                   with(myOptionButtons)
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"VW"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Peugeot"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"MG Rover"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"BMW Special"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Nissan HTML"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Nissan XLS"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"BMW (GB)"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"SEAT"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Citroen"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Vauxhall"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"SAAB 1st Column"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"SAAB 2nd Column"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Audi"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Fiat"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Ford"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Ford LCV"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Honda"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Vauxhall FUNNY SIZE"});
                        radiobuttonControls.add({staticLabel:"Hyundai"});
    myResult = myDialog.show();
    and what I want to be able to do is add an image to each option.
    Is this possible?
    I am looking to work with CS3 only at the moment.
    Cheers

    In any real application, it's a mistake to mix your presentation (user interface) code with your persistance (database access) code.
    Why? You want maintainability, flexibility, and testability.
    Maintainability:
    Suppose you want to change the structure of your database. E.g. the database admin (which may be you, or someone else) determines that the database design you have is inefficient and needs to be changed. If your database code is scattered over the whole application, mixed in among your user interface code, tracking down what needs to be changed will be a nightmare. If all your database code is in a single class, or perhaps a set of classes in a single package, then the updates are localized and much easier to manage. Furthermore, you can build the new database access code on its own, test it out, and then when you are sure it works just switch your user interface code to use the new persistance layer instead of the old one. The same applies if you decide you're going to use a completely different technology to store the data; perhaps you want to use something like Hibernate instead of plain JDBC, or maybe you decide you want to make the data accessibile via a web service.
    Flexibility:
    What if you (or, more likely, your manager) decides they're going to change to a new user interface technology. Maybe they decide to switch to a web application (i.e. HTML-based) instead of a desktop application. You obviously need to rewrite the user interface code, but you should be able to keep all the database access code you've written. If your database access code is all jumbled up with the user interface code you're replacing, it's going to be way harder to reuse that code. If the two are separated out, you just build a new user interface in whatever new technology you're using, and access the same class(es) you used for your database access without touching them.
    Testability:
    This whole thread is actually a demo of how testability is much harder if you don't properly separate your code. You posted "getting image stored in database", thinking that was your problem. It wasn't; your problem was actually an error in the way you'd set up your JavaFX code. Because the two were completely mixed together, it was hard to know where the error was. The error you had was actually a really simple one; it would have been much easier to see if you had simpler, properly separated code; but because you didn't organize your code like that it took you days to figure out the problem. This was only a couple of dozen lines of code; imagine how this looks in a real application with hundreds or thousands of classes.
    The point is that decisions about how to access your data (standalone database, web service, or EJB?; plain JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, etc?) , and decisions about the presentation technology (desktop or web? JavaFX or Swing?, or Servlets/JSPs, JSF, Swing MVC, or any of a huge number of frameworks) are completely independent. You should be in a position to change those decisions - to redesign aspects of the application - with the least amount of effort possible. Failing to properly design things will make this much harder, or likely completely impossible.
    These are real concerns that affect every application that goes into production.
    Even if you're just making a small application, it will benefit you to set things up correctly from the outset.
