Civilization IV and Warlords crash on startup after Security 2009-001

Question

I ran Civilization IV: Warlords last night. This morning I installed the Security Update 2009-001. Now both Civilization IV and Civilization IV:Warlords do not start. They bounce once or twice in the dock and then stop. The console log says they crashed. The Crash reporter says they died during the Image Loader initialization:

Civilization IV uses python, and python was one of the things updated in the security update. Not sure what else it could be.
