CJ01 - Old Settlement Rules are Copied

Hi SAP PS Experts,
We have a query When trying to create a project by copying with some other project,
it will copy even the settlement rules which are maintained for final asset.
We know that it can be deleted manually but is there a possibility that it should only copy the Project & WBS
but not settlement rules.
Let me know in case of any further questions.
Regards,
Vikram

Hi Vikram
maybe you will find the CJ20N - copy WBS without settlement rule interesting since it addresses the same problem as you did...
Hope it helps

  • Settlement rules are permitted for one WBS

    Hi Friends,
Would like to know how many settlement rules are permitted for one WBS Element , We have a need for over 200 Settlement rule.

    Hi Friend,
Limitation of the number of settlement rules is 999.
The Notes 483600, 31721 and 720619 describe the issue. The technical   restriction to 999 distribution rule groups can not be changed.

  • No access to settl rule when copying Sales order from Quotation

    Hi all
Can you help me on my following issue :
I create  quotation in which I refer to a settlement rule.
WHen creating a sales order in reference to my quotation, the settlement rule in the "item account assignment" tab is not reachable ...
This mean that all costs are posted on the quotation but not in the sales order.
But we would like to keep all costs on the sales order, as we do in all our process.
I've checked the copying rules but found nothing..
    Any suggestions?
    thanks in advance
    martine

In the standard sales order screen (type OR for example) if you go to Go To Item Account Assignment you can press on the button"Settlement Rule "
But when copying Sales Information to Sales order with standard copying requirements, you can not presse on the button "settlement rule"
Furthermore, in this tab, a field called "PC DUMMY" is now appaered on the screen ...??!!!
Any idea of what to do ??
    thanks !

  • Settlement rule copied from reference internal order

    Hi
How to manage that no settlemnt rule will be copied from reference order into the new internal order I´m creating in transaction KO01? Is it a configuration issue?
    Please advise.
    Anna

    HI,
the reason for creating an internal order "with reference" is to transfer all infos to the new order (even the settlement rule). So after "creation with reference" the settlement rule is copied. If its not the one you need:
1: take a reference order that fits your requirement.
2: for order creation without reference use a "model" order, this "model" order can be assigned to the order type in T-code KOT2_OPA and works similar as a reference, but if the model order does not contain a settlement rule, the created order also does not).
3: change/delete the created settlement rule from the new order.

  • Unable to close WBS, Settlement field rules are locked

    Hi All,
Iam trying to close WBs element. As i have 2 rules one is having percentage and other is having equivalence number.
Both fields for percentage and equivalence number for both settlement rules are locked, because the settlement rules have been used so I am unable to make any changes. Is there any way around this?

  • CJ20N : Settlement Rules Heritage on unique IeC WBS Element

    Hi Experts,
I've customize PS for an investment project, who have a stategy for top down heritage of the settlement rules from the project definition, and an automatic generation of an only IeC (on first WBS element) when the entire project is launched from the project definition.
All settlement rules are settled to the first WBS element (WBS project), who becomes the IeC.
Heritage is OK on all WBS elements and  I can see them under "Edit -> Costs -> Settlement Rule".
When I try to see my seetlement rules on the first WBS Element (WBS project), the system turn in loop and dump after 2 minutes (time over message).
In my opinion, the error comes that the system permiss to affect the settlement rule (for exemple WBS -> I/0001) on his own object (WBS ID I/0001) . They have no error message when I save the project for the heritage.
After this operation, impossible to go back under "Edit -> Costs -> Settlement Rule" to see the settlement rules of this WBS Element.
For more information, I don't want the create the heritage to level 2 or 3 of my WBS elements structure, because I don't want to loose a level (coding mask I/XXXX.XXXX.XXX.XXXX).
Does an expert have a solution to resolv my problem ?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi herieric ,
The program should not enter into an endlos loop in such case. It is rather a program error than a consulting issue. You can copy the key words from the dumps and search the notes. If there is still no suitable notes, create a customer message and ask SAP for support.

  • Settlement rules not getting created

    Hi,
During period end, all 2nd level WBS elements are generally settked to AuCs. I had maintained the settlement strategy in such a way that all the WBS elements below 2nd level are settled to its Superior. When i tested this in one of the Client, it worked fine whereas in the new client, when I execute CJB2, system gives the message "processed with no errors", however when I check the WBS element, settlement rules are not created. What could be the problem ?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi
A copy of text ( donot know anymore, where I got it):
Only the wbs element with investition profile, which has the 'manage
Auc' (technical field INVMA ), will be excluded. In this situation
the automatisch generation of settlement rules is not useful.
In other case, that the wbs element has a investition profile, but
the investition profile do not has the flag 'manage Auc' ticked, is not
considered as a accompanying measure. In this situation, a autom.
settlment rule generation can be useful, that why the program do not
    exclude such wbs elementen.
Please notice, in this issue, only the customizing setting of investiti-

  • No PSG in settlement rule (table COBRB)

    Hi,
I have a Sales Order which had a settlement rule created to PSG and had been settled already.  However, currently, the customer of that SO became invalid as well as contract type. So I tried to realign (KEND) this PSG, unfortunately, the current PSG has gone (no PSG no. in table COBRB), in settlement rule, there are some incompleted data left, such as customer, plant...
Now I would like to close this Sales Order (no balance in KVBI), however, since there is incompletion log regarding the incomplete PSG and settlement rule, it is unable to close the SO. In case I tried to end the old settlement rule and create a new one, it seems to be unable to create using the new customer with new mapping.
Please kindly advise how to solve this problem.
    Thank you.

  • AUC and settlement rule mismatch.

    Hi,
We have created many AUCs while uploading initial data at the time of go-live by posting JVs on WBSE and then performing the settlement. Now due to some currency issues we have reversed all settlements, and then Asset accounting person has resetted the asset register.
now when I am trying to create AUC from CJ20N, system creates AUC and provides the number. but this newly generated AUC number is not matching with the AUC in settlement rule. I can't delete the old settlement rule as the settlement performed on that. as well as I am not able to add new AUC in settlement rule.
Please let me know if there is any program / tcode which can remove this inconsistency. or is there any other procedure to make it streamline.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Nilesh.

    Hi,
There is no error message in this case.
    The scenario is like:
I have one WBSE and AUC is created for this WBS. for example AUC number is 1. the WBSE is released and some cost has incurred on it. during periodic settlement the cost is settled on the AUC.
Now the Client FICO team observed that the asset accounting is wrong due to currency conversion problem, so FICO team decided to reset the asset register and upload the entire master with new corrections. this will reset the AUCs as well.
so i reversed the settlement done on AUC and got the cost back on WBSE.
FICO team has resetted the asset register and all AUCs got deleted.
Now the issue is: WBSE is having AUC #1 in settlement rule which can not be deleted as settlement is carried out on this rule.
But when I create new AUC for WBS it is being created as some different number, (lets say #7) so even if now I run settlement the settlement will be done on AUC #1 insted of #7 even though #1 belongs to some other WBSE now in new scenario.
I hope I have clearly mentioned the issue.

  • Creation of settlement rules for WBS element

    Hi,
Iam having problem when creating the settlement rules for WBS elements. The business goes like this.
We have XI interface which creates the Idocs and an inbound program(customized) to process the Idocs. When the Inbound program is run the WBS elements are created and settlement rules are created for the WBS elements. The inbound program is run automatically thru batch job.
First time when the Idocs are processed about 95% of the WBS elements have settlement rules created and for other 5% settlement rules are not created. The Idoc is in status 64. I tried reprocessing the Idoc and then the settlement rules are getting created succussfully. The problem is Iam not able to find why the Inbound program is not processing succusfully when its run first time but works when reprocessed.
I appreciate if anyone can send their views.
    Best Regards
    SK

    Hi!
You might set the processing to check not only once the relevant IDocs, but more times...
Check out these programs, and set them into a batch job periodically...

  • Massive change of settlement rules in Sale order

    HI,
CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME ON THIS TOPIC:
I NEED TO "REFRESH"  THE PROFITABILITY SEGMENT IN THE SETTLEMENT RULES OF THE SALES ORDER, AS SOME OF THE CHARECHARISTICS WERE  CHANGED AND AS LONG AS I USE THE "OLD" SETTLEMENT RULES IT GIVES ME THE OLDER CHARECHATERISTICS.
I WAS THINKING OF DOING A MASSIVE CHANGE TO SETTLEMET RULES - BLOCKING THE PREVIOUS  SETTLEMENT LINE AND OPEN A NEW ONE
DOES ANYONE HAS AN IDEA OF HOW TO DO IT ?
    THANK YOU
    AMALIA

    Hi,
    1. Please check your customizing in SPRO -> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions-> Account Assignment/Costing -> Automatic generation of settlement rules.
    2. Have a derivation rule in COPA (KEDR) which will post the changed value to COPA during settlement. If the settlement rule is not automatically adjusted and if you don't change the old value afterwards manually on the profitability segment screen of the settlement rule final derivation (at time of creation of the CO-PA line item) would overwrite the wrong char value for the line item - without any impact on the settlement rule itself.

  • Maintain internal order settlement rule using LSMW

    HI ALL
I want to do mass maintenance of internal order settlement rule. Settlement category is PSG.
But when I use LSMW to do KO02, I only can input one settlement receriver, the first line will be overwritten by the second line.
I also see BAPI INTERNAL_ORDER_CREATE,but cannot find PSG as a settlement category.
Does anyone know how to do this?
    THX
    Deelia

    Hi Lian
When you do recording, enter two settlement rules..
Then, before pressing the "DEFAULT ALL" button, change the Field names for the 2nd settlement rule
The problem you described happens because the field names for both settlement rules are same.. Hence, it gets overwritten
Assume that field name for Order is AUFNR... You can change the field name in recording to ZAUFNR for one of the fields
See the screen shot, wherein I changed the name of the recorded field to _01, _15 and _70

  • Automatic Settlement rules generation

    PS Experts
I need to have automatic settlement rule generation for WBS elements.
I do have all the config (PS & IM) in place and when i release my WBS element then AUC is automatically created and no settlement rules are generated at this point.
But when i create FINAL ASSET, then the settlement rules are generated automatically with final asset as the receiver. When i run my final settlement (CJ88) then the settlement rule is updated with AUC & Final asset.
My question is do i need to have Investment profile to have automatic creation of settlement rules.
What if i don't want to activate IM and still have automatic settlement rule generation?
Edited by: Raj M on Apr 17, 2008 8:49 PM

    Hi,
For automtic settlement rule generation folloowing steps need to be followed.
    1. Determine Strategy for Settlement Rule
In this there will be settings for settlement rule where we define the recevier cost object after project settlement.
This strategy will be assigned to project profile
    2. Generate Settlement
CJB2 transaction need to be run for generation settlement for the WBSE.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Generation of WBS Settlement Rule

    Hi Folks!
I was wondering if there is any function module that allow me to generate a WBS Settlement Rule for a specific project and for elements on level 3.
If there is no FM for this, is there any workaround to do this.
    Thx for any advise.
    Regards,
    Gilberto Li

    Hi Gilberto,
Hm, not a question that has a simple answer. Settlement rules are first of all defined in customizing how the should be behave and secondly lies the question how to update a CO cost object with this settlement rule.
Let us first assume that customizing is done with a settlement profile named ZZ_PROF for instance. This is defined in customizing like path (from R/3 4.7): Trans SPRO -> Project System -> Costs -> Automatic and Periodic Allocations -> Settlement -> Settlement Profile -> Create Settlement Profile.
My first advice would be to use the "automatic settlement derivation feature" that can be setup in customizing alike. Trans SPRO -> Project System -> Costs -> Automatic and Periodic Allocations -> Settlement -> Settlement Rule for Work Breakdown Structure Element. Read the docu for this node (right click and choose Display documentation) to understand what possibilities and limitations this functionality has. Below this node you have the possibility to define a "settlement strategy" and allocate this to a project profile. There is also an option to define a BADi whereby you you can somewhat influence the automatic generation of settlement rules. You must "obey" the rules in the "settlement strategy" but can do some filtering of SD orders influence and derive a "settlement strategy" baseed on some coding logic of your choice.
To execute these settings on operative projects you run trans CJB1 (collective processing) or CJB2 (indicidual processing).
All in all: This is good functionality but maybe not what you are looking for due to the built in "restrictions" in the "settlement strategy" profile.
My second advice would be: What I did in the past was to write a batch input program that was run just before period end closing (that is before settlement - of course) that did read all relevant WBS elements without a settlement rule and derived a new settlement rule. Finally, updated the setttlement coding block with this info. Processing of the BDC is then done via trans SM35 the normal way.
I also did a check for trans CJB2: In include LKAZBF15 there is the "magic" call to the update FM with name KSRG_GENERATE_RULE. One option could be to set a break point here and run the trans to see what parameters has to be filled. This implies that the customizing is done before, of course. I have a feeling that this is NOT the easist solution to use - to fill the parameters correctly may be difficult
I hope this helps you in deciding what action to take.
Sometimes a simple BDC will do the trick although it may not be a "good" solution.
Disclaimer: There might be some other relevant FM to solve your problem as I am not aware of. If you find one for WBS elements then I would certainly be interested in any findings.
    Regards, Johan

  • Error message - data master internal order settlement rule

    Hi people,
I'm creating an internal order, and in the settlement rule, i'd like to put a message error when i make a distribuition over 100%. For example, i put 50% in a settlement receiver and 65% in another one, that makes 115%. The system shows a message, but it allows me to save. I need that shows an error message and don't allow me to save.
    Anyone can help me?
The message that appears is this one:
    Total = 115.00%, ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ), period 002/2009
    Message no. KD042
    Diagnosis
You have entered distribution rules which settle 115.00% in total. This applies for settlement view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) in period 002/2009.
When checking the percentage total, the system found one of the following errors:
The total percentage for the distribution rules is more than 100%
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and this is a rule for full settlement.
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and the 100% check is switched on in the settlement profile.
    Procedure
You can ignore this message if you are settling by fixed amounts. The settlement then checks whether the settlement sender has been fully credited.
Otherwise, correct the percentages for view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) to be able to settle exactly 100% in period 002/2009.
If these rules are not full settlement rules (settlement type GES), you can switch off the 100% check in the settlement profile. This procedure also suppresses the message in future.
    Note
If you cannot find any fields where you can enter percentage values, this is probably because the settlement profile is configured to hide them. Switch on percentage settlement in the settlement profile, or use equivalence numbers for your rules, if the project profile allows this.
    Many thanks.

    Hi
Below is the extract for the 100% Validation check. Please check the bold part. Even if you save the settlement rule with more than 100% at the time of settlement this will be errored.
    dentifier for "100% validation"
Indicator controlling whether percentages in the settlement rules are checked by the system.
If you have defined percentage distribution rules for a particular settlement rule, the system checks the total percentage either when you save the settlement rule or if you use the percentage check function.
    Use
If the indicator is set  The system issues a  warning
if the total is <> 100%.
If the indicator is not set The system issues a warning
if the total is > 100%.
In both cases, you can ignore the warning and save the settlement rule. However, to be able to run the settlement, you must first correct the settlement rule.  The settlement run itself prevents you from settling more than 100%.
    Note
The indicator only affects periodic settlement.  In overall settlement, the percentage must always be 100%.
You can also use this indicator if you are not using percentages for settlement.  If this is the case, you must activate the equivalence numbers.  You then receive a warning that, even if you have entered settlement rules, none of the rules has received an equivalence number (other than zero).
