CKMDUVMAT posting date restriction

Hi gurús.
We us succesfullly CKMDUVMAT but we want to find the way to post adjustments done in any date of the period in all consumptions ot the same period.
We want to know if is possible to post this stocks adjustment to subcontracting consumptions and so on, and not only in order consumption.
Thanks in advanced for your help

Hi
When you do the PIV (physical inv verification) difference to the Cost center - That acts as a trigger for CKMDUVMAT...
So, if you run CKMDUVMAT for the complete period together - It would post the Total PIV Difference of that period to the prod orders whereevr that material has been used...
You can use BADI CKMLDUVN_CHOOSE_RECV in order to change the logic to determine the Receivers for the posting of PIV Difference
Refer Note 996310 - Documentation BAdI CKMLDUVN_CHOOSE_RECV...

  • Restrict goods issue if stock on posting date is zero

    Requirement:
Current Inventory period : July 2011
    Stock of a material from 01.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 is zero(in MB5B report)
I upload stock of material  or GRN occur on 31.07.2011. Say Quantity u2013 100
Now stock as on 31.07.2011 is 100 in MB5B
    Still, Stock of a material from 01.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 is zero(in MB5B)
Now, If I do goods issue of a material quantity 100 on 15.07.2011. System allows goods issue. though opening and closing stock as on 15.07.2011 is zero.
After goods issue transaction if I check stock of material on any date between 16.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 , The opening stock and closing stock shows negative.
I want to restrict goods issue if stock on posting date is zero or less then stock available on posting date.
    Please suggest

    Hi,
This is not the way SAP is designed. As the previous speakers wrote (and as you noticed yourself), SAP maintains stock figures in the database per month rather than per day. MB5B makes complex calculations in order to find out how much stock you had on a specific date - as you probably noticed on the response time. Performing such calculations every time you do a GI would be unfeasibly heavy task for the system - remember there are organisations that perform hundreds of inventory movements a minute!
An alternative solution I suppose would be to maintain the daily stock figures in the database. This would make the finding of the stock figure very quick, but on the other hand, the maintenance of such table would be unfeasible - if you post today a GI on say July 1st, you would need to calculate 36 stock figures and update 36 database records!
Hope this explains the technical issue.

  • Data inconsistency: posting with restricted transaction type (FAA_POST047)

    Hi colleagues!
    I have the following error:
Data inconsistency: posting with restricted transaction type
    Message no. FAA_POST047
    Diagnosis
You are trying to post in company code 1000 with transaction type 130 in ledger group 0N. According to table TABWA, this transaction type is limited. Nonetheless, according to your entries, you want to post to area 11.
    System Response
Using limited transaction types is obsolete and would lead to an inconsistent posting in this situation. The system rejects the posting.
    Procedure
Use a transaction type that is not limited. And, if possible, choose the ledger group and/or depreciation area on the initial screen.
According to specific accounting we shouldn't post to one of the depr. area, so most of the tr.types are restricted to post to all areas except this one.
Because of this, posting from MM with acc.assignment 'A' is impossible - I have this error.
    Any ideas how to solve?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Anton
This looks like your transaction type -130 is limited to post only in ledger group-0N as per the transaction type configuration. Due to which system is unable to post all the ledgers and hence this lead to inconsistency.
Please verify the transaction type 130- in configuration T code - OAYA and see if it is restricted by depreciation area (eventually allow to post only ledger group- 0N.
Tcode - OAYA (Limit Transaction Types to Depreciation Areas)
please verify and let us know the update. hope this helps

  • Option to restrict MIGO Posting date after GRR posting date

    Dear All,
My client is looking for an option to restrict the posting date of MIGO to be after GRR Posting date. Is there any way to do it? where the system don't allow you to post a MIGO without the GRR transaction has taken place?
One option i got is to tick the GR MESSAGE tick which creating a PO. Is it the right solution?
I would request you all to kindly give in your valuable inputs if in case anything else can be done or for the suitability of this option.

  • Restriction of posting date in transaction CO11N for partial confirmations

    Hi all,
I am trying to restrict(by checking thru an exit)  the posting date in co11n , for this i m using enhancement CONFPP04.
         Import parameter AFRUD_IMP IS USED.
Now when i m putting  production order no , operation activity no.(for e.g 10 , 20 etc ) and posting date IN SEL SCREEN OF CO11N
AFRUD_IMP-BUDAT( POSTING DATE )  CONTAINS VALUE  in debugging mode , hence i m getting the value of posting date
and in that case check is written in code.  This is the case of full confirmation.
But in case of partial confirmation  i have to give   production order no , operation activity no , *Partial confirmed qty * and posting date , in this case the posting date value changes to 0 in the debug mode ie.
AFRUD_IMP-BUDAT is showing 0 and hence no calculation can be done base on the date.
Our requirement is such that if there is a prd order no say X,
then in CO11N if user enters prd no X  , operation activity no 10 , post date say D1
then again for  prd no X  , operation activity no 20 , post date  of activity 20 should not be less than D1
SIMAILARY for  X,  ACTIVITY 30 ,  post date should not less than that of  activity  20. and so on.
But if partial quantity is mentioned value of  AFRUD_IMP-BUDAT is becoming null.
If anyone knows about this scenario please share.
      Thanks and regards

    Hi, In the T-code Mb31
The Posting Date which is used  is when entering the document in Financial Accounting or Controlling. The fiscal year and the period for which an update of the accounts specified in the document or cost elements is made, are derived from this posting date.
When entering documents, the system checks whether the posting date entered is allowed by means of the posting period permitted. But this posting date can differ from both the entry date (day of entry into the system) and the document date (day of creation of the original document). This is for the practical purpose .
So its for the Monthly permitted and not for a day or range .
Secondly when you are saying :
"We want this <b>default date to get freeze</b> the moment you enter
the transaction (MB31). If you are opting for second option we want
<u><i><b>some flexibility to change the date as required</b></i></u>."
Both freezing and opting for changes is not possible , either one can occur .
You can freeze/display mode only  the field for the T-code and the document type, but that will not solve your problem .
What i understand from the description is you want to Do GR on A particular date or GR should be allowed after a particular date . <u><b>Please let me know</b></u> if this is the case then there's a way around to do this that is you can do GR and Post on the dates near to your desirable dates .
    cheers KP

  • MB5B stock on posting date

    Hi experts,
For a material XX which was  zero stock on 15/11/2008.Goods receipt(MIGO 101) done on 15/11/2008 of qty 100kg. So stock was 100kg. I have issued material XX of qty 75 kg to cost center and entered posting date 3/11/2008. My system allowing me to issue that material on 3/11/2008 without any warning or error msg. But at that there was no stock. So that if i check the report MB5B stock on posting date my closing stock showing in negative for 3/11/2008. Our requirement is how to stop this back dated posting? System should not allow me if i am posting on back date?
    Thank you

    hi Rehan,
I have checked all settings also enhancement  but there is no as such control to restrict backposting within current period
I think its self disipline action not to post backdated GI when GR is done on later date

Currently I'm using the Business Content extractor 0FC_OP_01 together with the mass transaction FPBW in IS-U.

    Hi Marcos,
When you have created the Restricted keyfigures for Open Items, You have to add the date characteristic on which you are looking open item and add the variable there. Here you have to use a variable of type Interval and select the operator "<" the date of the Variable. If you go through, there are standard variable for keydate, which you can use directly.
    Hope you got the idea
    Regards

  • Posting Date in PSA for 2LIS_03_BX

    Hi,
When I am executing 2LIS_03_BX for Stock Init, Posting Date in PSA is showing todays date. Why this is happening?
I run the IP on 9/12/2011, in PSA the posting dates are 9/12/2011 but in R/3 Side the dates are different.
Basically I want the old stock also. When I am loading this to 0IC_C03, opening stock is showing only for 9/12/2011 before that there is not stock in BW Dev.
    How to overcome this issue?
    Pls. suggest me.
    Regards
    Manna Das

    Hi,
You have to make sure that by restrictions for posting date or the material document number you only select those material documents that have created the opening stock. Also Please consider that material movements that have been posted into the future for a date (field BUDAT) after the initial stock date are not getting selected if the upper restriction bound is exactly this date. In this case you have to choose an appropriate upper bound like 31st December 2099 and to keep the posting block. Also if you post new documents to a date (field BUDAT) earlier than the initial stock date you have to keep the posting block as time restrictions wonu2019t help to determine the right documents (maybe restrictions by document number help).

  • Current Month, Current Year Variable on Posting Date

    Hi,
I need to construct a BEx variable that will return the Current Month of the Current Year based on Posting Date. I want to be able to compare Current Month of the Current Year with Current Month of the Prior Year. I know SAP delivers variables for this based on 0CALMONTH. Is there any way to create the variable off Posting Date without having to write a customer exit?
    Thanks,
    C

I guess you could use replacement path variables for the same. No need to write customer exits.
Create 2 variables, one on calmonth and the other on calyear.
    Variable on Calmonth -
    type - replacement path.
Replacement path tab - repace with variable, give variable name into which user enters the posting date, replace with key, offset start 2 and offset length 2.
    Variable on calyear -
    type - replacement path.
Replacement path tab - repace with variable, give variable name into which user enters the posting date, replace with key, offset start 4 and offset length 4.
to get key figures for current month and previous year, restrict the key figure with calmonth variable created above and use offset on the calyear variable created above, like zcalyear - 1.

  • MIGO. Goods receipt. Default posting date ??

    Hi All!
My user wants to put restrictions on <b>posting date for goods receipt</b>. It should depend on fiscal year (FY) of document delivery date. There are 2 rules for this. One should works only if the current month is September.
If FY of delivery date  < current FY then posting date = 8/31/prior FY.
Else. Posting date = current date.
The second rule should work only if current month is August.
If FY of delivery date >  current FY then Error message “Cannot post…”
During the rest of the year they want to have standard MIGO.
Is it possible to realize it in SAP without modifications? If yes, what is the best way to do it?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
      You can use this exit,
    MBCF0005
    Function module is,
    EXIT_SAPM07DR_001
In the Changing part the structure ( AM07M ) is accessed as C_AM07M which has the posting date.

  • MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt)

MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt) posting date.
    Explanation:
Miro sholud be posted after the GRN has posted. It means that the Posting date of Miro should be greater than or equal to the Posting date of Migo. But I am facing the issue that I can able to post the Miro before the Migo date..
For example:  I have posted the Migo(Goods receipt) document with the posting date u2013 10.8.09 and at the same time I can also able to post the Miro(Invoice Verification) posting date as u2013 5.08.09. This is should not be allowed . Kindly give me the solution. Is there any options in SAP standards to restrict this type of Postings(without using user exit).

    Hi
you  need to use BADi for this INVOICE_UPDATE
you can give logic as whil;e MIRO system will compare posting date with MIGO doc , then create a Z error msg in se91 nad assign it in that badi
take help of ABAPer, check following link
    [LINK |GR date lesser than the PO date, the system should show an error message.;

  • How to get material's last posting date of issuing to production order?

    Hi,
In my scenario, I need to get material's last posting date of issuing to production order (e.g. mov. typ. 261).
I tried to select the material documents whose movement type is 261, and restrict the posting date from month to month each time, until the first material document is selected.
But this method seems quite inefficient.
What kind of algorithm is more effient to do this?
    Thanks

  • Asset value date and posting date are not in same fiscal year

    Hi,
Our business user has created an asset under an incorrect asset class, which he is trying to transfer to a new asset whcih was created under correct asset class. However system is restricting user with the error message "Asset value date and posting date are not in same fiscal year". Can you please advise me how we can proceed further with this error.
    Regards,
    Asam.

    Hi,
To transfer one asset to another asset within a company code can be done through ABUMN only.
While doing this transfer you have enter the document date, posting date, and value date for the transaction, but all these dates should be in same fiscal year only.
In your case you must have been entered the dates for asset value date and posting date , and these two dates are in diff financial years.
Please make sure that both the dates are in same FY.
Hope this will fix your issue.
    Thanks,
    Srinu
