Cl_exithandler= get_instance return data_incons_in_exit_managem

I am new to BADI and I tried to go to this tutorial:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d0456c54-0901-0010-f0b3-cd765fb99702
In the tutorial on page 12 it said the test should be successful but when I tested
in the cl_exithandler=>get_instance, i got short dump with
return code as data_incons_in_exit_managem
It seems like it does not recognize the Badi that I implemented.
What did I do wrong?  I am on ECC6.0  You can view the tutorial in the above link.
THANKS.
Here is the code:
Function exit_saplszar_001.
   include zxszaru01 .
Endfunction.

      y_error_table   type addr_error_tab.
data: act_imp_existing type c.
y_adrc_struc = x_adrc_struc.
Get BADI implementation
call method cl_exithandler=>get_instance

    exit_not_existing             = 7
    data_incons_in_exit_managem   = 8
    others                        = 9
call method lr_exit->address_check
  exporting
    x_dialog_allowed  = x_dialog_allowed
    x_accept_error    = x_accept_error
    x_adrc_struc      = x_adrc_struc
  changing
    y_adrc_struc      = y_adrc_struc
    y_retcode         = y_retcode
    error_table       = y_error_table.
Add Badi error table to the enhancement
  append lines of y_error_table to error_table.

Hi,
If you have created a New BADI, then u need to use GET BADI and CALL BADI statements.
For classic BADI you can use CL_EXITHANDLER=>get_instance.

  • Runtime error "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM" while executing a BADI

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to use a BADI in my report Program.
    But it is throwing a runtime error "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM".
    I debugged the program and found that the call to the GET_INSTANCE method of Class CL_EXITHANDLER is raising this error.
    It is because the instance parameter is Initial.
    Can you please let me know, what is the mistake i am doing.

    I checked and i didn't find the entry in the table mentioned by you.
    But isnt the entry supposed to come automatically once i define the BADI.
    The BADI Definition name is ZGKR_MATNRDATA.
    Please help me regarding the same.

  • Use value returned by badi

    hi all
    i havnt worked on badi before.
    i have to use the value returned by a badi in "if" condition.
    i just know the badi/implimentation name.
    when i try to find where this badi is used, all i get is the implementation name (which i already know)
    is the badi even used anywhere (because i dont see any program name in "where used list") ?
    Should it be called or will it be called automatically?
    also, i have tried calling this badi using:
    data : flag type string,
    Implementation_instance type ref to <implementaion_name>
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance
    EXPORTING
    exit_name = <badi_name>
    null_instance_accepted = 'X'
    IMPORTING
    act_imp_existing = flag
    CHANGING
    instance = Implementation_instance
    EXCEPTIONS
    OTHERS = 0.
    CALL METHOD Implementation_instance-<interface_name>~<method_name>.
    EXPORTING
    p1 = a1
    IMPORTING
    p2 = a2
    but i get the following error.
    The type "<implementaion_name>" is unknown.
    I just have to use the value returned by this badi. Someone Please tell me how to do it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The way you are calling the BAdi implementation is perfect. However the declaration
    Implementation_instance type ref to <implementaion_name>
    is wrong, the implementation instance should reference the class behind the BAdi. Every BAdi has a class/interface.
    Go to SE18, enter the BAdi name and goto interface tab. In that you will see the name of the Inteface of the Badi say <interface_name>, hence your declaration for implemntation should be
    Implementation_instance type ref to <interface_name>.
    Then make sure you create an implementation for the BAdi from SE19 transaction and activate it.
    Then test your program agian.
    Cheers.

  • DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM - reg BADIs

    Hi,
    I have written a BADI and trying to invoke a method in it from my ABAP report program.
    This is the piece of code that i am executing:
    DATA: exit_ref TYPE REF TO ZVEN_INT.
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance
      EXPORTING exit_name = 'ZVEN_INT'
      CHANGING instance = exit_ref.
    CALL METHOD exit_ref->OPENPAGE.
    where ZVEN_INT is the Interface and OPENPAGE is a method available in the interface. I have written the implementation also and everything is Active.
    But i am getting an while trying to get the exit handler instance.
    <i>DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM</i>
    Where am i going wrong?
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    Hi,
    First check the BADI implementation is active or not??
    You can insert the record in the DB table.
    Go to SE11->display the table name->display the entries->select one record and click on display F7->enter the debugging mode by entering /h in command field ->enter->it will go to "form set_status_val..." in debugging mode->here change the value 'CODE'
    variable to 'INSR'->f8->you are able to insert the record now in a standard table.
    But I am not sure this will help you.

  • DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM error in BADI

    Hello friends,
    I had created a BADI which is showing DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM error in CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
    method call.
    when I gone through with other threads in SDN similar to this error I came to know there is no entry for my created BADI
    in SXS_INTER and SXS_ATTR tables.
    I had tried to insert the values manually in these tables, but as these are SAP tables I am unable to insert the data without access key.
    My Question is:- is there any possible way that I can insert data in SAP tables or any other way I can successfully run my BADI  program?

    method name : test ,
    variable is var type vbak-vbelnr which is exporting .
    In program I m calling this badi
    my code is :
    class cl_exithandler definition load. "Declaration
    data exit type ref to Zbadi_inF. "Interface reference
    DATA VAR TYPE MARA-MATNR VALUE 'SUNRISE'.

    if not exit is initial.
    call method exit->TEST "Add-In call
    IMPORTING
    VAR = VAR.
    endif.
    write:/ 'Original word: ',VAR.
    The program is giving dump . Please tell me why is it giving dump .Im very new to BADIs .
    The excpetion raised is
    RAISE data_incons_in_exit_managem.
    I have just given a varible var which is exporting parameter in the method test in interface.
    I have activated all the interface and implemenations .

    HI.
    where are the badis and interface and classes getting stored .
    goto the table seoclass.
    pass class type as '0' for class
    and '1' for interface.
    Implementing BADI
    The use of object orientated code within SAP has lead to new method of enhancing standard SAP code called
    Business Add-Ins or BADI's for short. Although the implementation concept is based on classes, methods and
    inheritance you do not really have to understand this fully to implement a BADI. Simply think of methods
    as a function module with the same import and export parameters and follow the simple instructions below.
    Steps:
    1. Execute Business Add-In(BADI) transaction SE18
    2. Enter BADI name i.e. HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR and press the display
    button
    3. Select menu option Implementation->Create
    4. Give implementation a name such as Z_HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR
    5. You can now make any changes you require to the BADI within this
    implementation, for example choose the Interface tab
    6. Double click on the method you want to change, you can now enter
    any code you require.
    7. Please note to find out what import and export parameters a
    method has got return the original BADI definition
    (i.e. HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR) and double click on the method name
    for example within HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR contract is a method
    8. When changes have been made activate the implementation

  • RE: Short dump after activation of BADI

    Hi all,
    We are getting short dumps in all the transactions after activating the BADI  'BADI_LAYER'
    We are not able to execute any of the transactions.
    The details of runtimeerror
    Runtime Errors         RAISE_EXCEPTION
    Date and Time          30.07.2007 09:58:06
    Short text
    Exception condition "SINGLE_EXIT_MULTIPLY_ACTIVE" raised.
    What happened?
    The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
    situation.
    What can you do?
    Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
    To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
    Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
    at and manage termination messages, and you can also
    keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
    A RAISE statement in the program "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" raised the
    exception
    condition "SINGLE_EXIT_MULTIPLY_ACTIVE".
    Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
    program, processing was terminated.
    Short description of exception condition:
    For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
    Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
    function module from the display of active calls.
    How to correct the error
    If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
    find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
    If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "RAISE_EXCEPTION" " "
    "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" or "CL_EXITHANDLER================CM001"
    "GET_INSTANCE"
    or
    "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" "SINGLE_EXIT_MULTIPLY_ACTIVE"
    or
    "SAPMF05A " "SINGLE_EXIT_MULTIPLY_ACTIVE"
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
    notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
    To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
    Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
    Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
    after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
    program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
    actions and input led to the error.

    Hello Sowmya
    The BAdI BADI_LAYER is not defined for <b>Multiple-Use</b> (see checkbox on tabstrip <i>Attributes</i>).
    Apparently you have created <i>several </i>implementation of this BAdI and activated <i>several </i>(at least 2) of these implementations.
    If you inactivate all except a single implementation the BAdI (and all transactions using this BAdI) should work again.
    Regards
      Uwe

  • How to find another BAdi for Transaction CCM2

    I have written an Authorisation Check for transaction CCM2, but there are two select buttons.
    load and load extended.
    i added the Auth Check to BADI_CCM_EXPLOSION - Restrict Structure Explosion for Actual Configuration, which works okay when i click the "load" button, but this is not called on the "load Extended" button
    I checked the BAdi - BADI_CCM_EXPL_ALWD - Restrict Structure Explosion of Allowed and Actual Config and BADI_CCM_CHK_STATUS Adjust the CCM2 Check Result by Technical Object but these are not called from the Transaction either.
    is there another way for me to try and work what may be called within this transaction?
    when i run through the debugger it always short dumps before i get anywhere as it does not like debug mode... any suggestions??? please?

    Please skip if you already did this!
    Place a break point in method of CL_EXITHANDLER->GET_INSTANCE at line 28, CASE sy-subrc (According to ECC 6.0).
    Code looks like:
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
    EXPORTING
    instance = instance
    IMPORTING
    class_name = class_name
    CHANGING
    exit_name = exit_name
    EXCEPTIONS
    no_reference = 1
    no_interface_reference = 2
    no_exit_interface = 3
    data_incons_in_exit_managem = 4
    class_not_implement_interface = 5
    OTHERS = 6.
    CASE sy-subrc.--> (Right here)
    This METHOD will be called before triggering any BADI in SAP. After you place a break-point just process your transaction for which you are trying a find a BADI. Before triggering every BADI, code will stop right there and you could get to know your BADI Class and Method name through variables CLASS_NAME & EXIT_NAME respectively.

  • Creation of a BADI

    Hi SAP Guru's,
    Can someone provide me a detailed step by step procedure to create a BADI in CRM.
    You can also mail me at [email protected]
    Regards,
    Amit

    hi amit
    Go through the following Steps
    Goto Tcode SE18 for BADI Definition Creation.
    give definition Name : ZBADI_CUST--> Press F5 button for Creating the Definition.
    Give Description for the BADi Definition : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    In the Attributes tab you will find "TYPE" Tab
    there you will check the Check Box as "Multiple" because this badi definition is active for multiple BADI Implementations
    save & check the Badi Definition.
    Click on "Interface" tab
    Double Click on the Interface Name that is "ZIF_EX_BADI_CUST"
    here the screen is take you to tcode SE24
    here you will declare the methods
    give method name as "GET_MATERIAL" as INSTANCE Level.
    Click on Parameters Button just above your Method"GET_MATERIAL"
    and Give Parameters as
    P_MATNR IMPORT Type MATNR press enter
    X_MARA CHANGING MARA press enter
    save check and activate your badi Definition.
    Note : you just declare the method in BADI Definition Section you will write the Method Implementation
    in BADI IMPLEMENTATION Section.Because BADI's are pure Abstact class.
    Goto Tcode SE19:
    give Implementation name as : ZBADI_CUST_IMPL and press "F5" for Creation
    it asks BADI Definition name as "ZBADI_CUST" just you create .
    and press enter
    and you give the BADI Implementation Description : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    save this Implementation
    click on the Interface tab and double click on the Implementation Class as "ZCL_IM_BADI_CUST_IMPL".
    then you have the GET_MATERIAL Method . double click on the Method it opens the Code window for that method.
    as looks like bellow.
    method ZIF_EX_BADI_CUST~GET_METERIAL .
    Here you will write the coding part.
    if not p_matnr is initial.
    select single * from mara
    into x_mara
    where matnr = p_matnr.
    endif.
    endmethod.
    save,check & activate
    come back and activate again.
    then you need to use this badi in SE38 program.
    go through the following Code
    REPORT ZCUST_BADI1_IMPL_CALL.
    TABLES : MARA.
    *creatingthe BADI interface ref to following class
    DATA : OBJ TYPE REF TO ZIF_EX_CUST_BADI1.
    PARAMETERS : P_MATNR LIKE MARA-MATNR.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    *passing the BADI interface ref var to following class method to get obj of BADI business add in class
    CALL METHOD CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
    EXPORTING
    EXIT_NAME =
    NULL_INSTANCE_ACCEPTED = SEEX_FALSE
    IMPORTING
    ACT_IMP_EXISTING =

    CAST_ERROR = 6
    EXIT_NOT_EXISTING = 7
    DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM = 8

    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    *calling the implementation class method via business add in class object
    CALL METHOD OBJ->GET_MATERIAL
    EXPORTING
    P_MATNR = P_MATNR
    CHANGING
    X_MARA = MARA.

    Hi Rob thanks for your response.  I thought about doing an OSS note however; I would think I would need to get the problem in config corrected first as it contradicts each other.  The problem I am talking about is how they are to return material to vendor....I have never even seen this as a process in my 10 years....
    Process.....when the PO is a return to vendor PO they go to migo and choose the goods receipt and mvmt type 101 and the system will default the 161 in the item level....the two are inconsistent.  If I try to change the top level to a 161 mvmt (as this is what I am used to seeing) it gives the error that the PO is not a stock transport order... Would you agree that I should correct that problem first before creating an OSS note?
