Claims Digger report - values for changes in duration/float/lags

When I compare two projects using Claims Digger, I always get results for changes in durations, float and lags in hours as opposed to days? Is there a setting that can fix this?

I think (not 100% sure) P6 is working as designed.
The basic unit of comparison in P6 is hours and not what is set in user preferences.
For example when you run a global change the basic unit used in calculations is hours.
Also when we enter duration in days, its actually been stored in database in hours and then converted to days using activity calendar in P6v7.

Hi Shikha,
I'm not sure it works or not. But you can try SCU3 t.code and table DBTABLOG. May it can help you out.
I also faced this type of issue in Plant data and it get resolved.

Claim Digger Report

When viewing the report produced by Claim Digger, under the heading bold "General Realtionship Differences" bold, the report shows a Predecessor Activity Name and a Successor Activity Name. Is the report referring to each activity being related to each other, or is there a 3rd activity that has the listed ones as the respective Predecessor and Successor.
Actually is there anywhere a guide that lists the components of the Claim Digger report and how to read them all correctly? Most of it is fairly straightforward I know, but some areas can be a little bit grey.

Hi Douglas,
As you might have found out these reports can be huge. So try and filter down to the smallest amount of data to be compared.
The documentation that you will need for Claim Digger can be found in the Project Management Reference Manual.
You can also try reading Part 4, "Updating and Managing the Schedule".
Also try looking on the "Documentation" CD that came with your software.

Using a report value for a where clause in other report

i'm getting kinda nuts here. I created a page with three reports.
First report show the name of the user who logged in with his/her whole name. Second report shows the year, week, begin/end date of the week for the user in the first report. The third report show the hours the user worked in the week selected in the second report.
The link between first and second report is on column report. Somehow i managed it to work with second_report.mdw_code = :P3_ACRONIEM. I have no idea were this P3_ACRONIEM item is coming from, while i have no items in my page whatsoever. Now i need to link the second report to the third report. I have to use the second_report.mdw_code, second_report.year and second_report.week but i have no idea how to link these together. Any idea's? (Like making items, but then i have no idea how to link that item to the value in the second report). Please help.

If I understand you correctly, you have a one report that lists users, a second report that lists dates and a final report that shows hours worked?
If so, you may find it easiest to have hidden fields on your page and base the second and third reports on these using appropriate WHERE clauses. (I generally put hidden fields in a region in the "After Header" position)
So, if the first report contains a USER_ID field, have a hidden field called P1_USER_ID. The link on the first report will branch back to the same page and set the value of P1_USER_ID to #USER_ID# The second report can then use WHERE USER_ID = :P1_USER_ID. When the page reloads, the second report redisplays and is filtered to show only those records relating to the selected USER_ID in the first report.
To extend this, if the second report contains WEEK_NUMBER, it should have a link that branches back to the same page and sets a hidden P1_WEEK_NUMBER field with #WEEK_NUMBER#. The third report should when have WHERE WEEK_NUMBER = :P1_WEEK_NUMBER AND USER_ID = :P1_USER_ID. You can, if need be, have and set more than one hidden field during each link.

PR04 - Weekly report BAPI for change

Hi all,
We have WDJ applications for Weekly Reports managing (creation, modification, delete and approval). They are working well but I need to implement some improvements to modification one.
Actually when the user modifies the weekly report mi RFC FM deletes the report and creates new one, this causes that trip numbers increase exponentially. Our customer asks to us to implement a different way to do this. I’m searching for a BAPI/FM that allows me to change the weekly report without deleting It before.
I’ve tried with FM HRTRV_IF_MODIFY_TRIP but as it execute a PR01 call transaction, the process fails.
Does anyone know how to change weekly reports without deleting it first?
BI over PR04 is not an option.

Hi Gregory,
are you aware that the java version is not recommended by SAP?
Means the development has ended since years and only maintenance are provided until year "X".
I would not invest to much to enhance this version. I would spend the effort in changing to WebDynpro for ABAP where you get weekly, monthly reports etc. out of the box.
Or even better: SAP announced that Fiori UI is available without any extra license cost.
OK the newest technology/product has always a little bit of gaps and errors but with this you are secure to spend your effort on the actual technology ....

Get ZTABLE Old - New Field Values for Change Document History Log

I have done all necessary log configuration for ZTABLE and able to see change document log via SCU3. My problem is that I have to write FM which returns Log History for a specific period. As I have gone throught the Report RSVTPROT. But not able to get how the log data is displayed.

MDM parameter replacement values for Change Tracking

Hi! I am able to set up the Change Tracking function and able to view the data via web and Data Manager. On reading the Help documentation on the set up for Data Manager, it mentioned about the parameters which we can use to get dynamic value from Data Manager for the specific record (for the set up of the link URL).
Does anyone know what parameter replacement value that would be if we want the system to assign the record number base on the record we select?
Below is any extract of the help document on the search record:
searchrecord [optional]
The record for which history records are initially displayed
The searchtable and searchrecord parameters can get dynamic values from the Data Manager at runtime by using the relevant MDM parameter replacement values.

Bex report values are changing

Hi experts,
In the cube we are having a qty field value as 0.652, but in the bex report it is showing as 1. And if the value is 0.4152 it is showing as 0.
How to get the exact values those are 0.652 and 0.4152 to the bex reports.

The Values are getting rounded off for the key figure ... In the tab for key figures use display key figure decimal places upto three ...u may keep display as one digit keep the decimal part also then it wont be rounded... hope it helps

Application Server (Pertinent Report values for performance metrics)

With dmstool what are the most relevant values to collect. My objectives are to compare performance metrics on two environments. First one is on 9iAS (or 10 g AS), the second is a weblogic environment.

when running the dmstool -dump i noticed that some requests where throwing errors "connection refused".
I verified the server properties focusing on the dms port 7200;
I noticed that the listening adress and port was missing cfr httpd.conf
After adding this info metrics are displayed

Claim Digger Fix

i am having a problem when i try to run Claim Digger. i get an "An application event has been intercepted" Event Code TBREB-0670-3 error message.
i came across these posts:

Claim Digger's "General Relationship Differences" - What's the meaning?

When I run the Claim Digger report and look at the section "General Relationship Differences", it list out a long list on new & old predecessors even though NONE of the listed activities have changed their predecessor, NONE! What is this section refering to?

Absolute reporting values

Hi,
I need to present values as absolute reporting values for a profit and loss report (Tabular & pivot) e.g.
Revenue = 100,000
Expenses = 25,000
=============
Net Result = 75,000
The actual values are used to calculate the Net Result i.e.
Revenue = 100,000
Expenses = (25,000)
=============
Net Result = 75,000
I do not know how to obtain the correct Net Result total on the report, as the total would use the actual values.
Can this be done? If so how?

1. You can achieve this through a custom column in the repository. Create this new column based on the original column (Expenses) and apply some string or math functions that it always displays the number as positive. Ex: Custom_Expense_Column = Original_Column * -1.
Note: This approach will affect the performance significantly in OBIEE.
Or
2. You can convince your business owners that traditionally Negative Numbers are displayed within brackets $(100) means $-100.
If they agree with that, go ahead and change the display format of Expenses Column as Number / Currency and Negative Numbers as (xxxxx).
I personally recommend Step 2.

Digital signauture for Change Request Mgmt

I am trying to incorporate the 'Digital Signature' function in ChaRM. The setup for digital signature or documention was simple. I am trying to incorporate the same for Change Mgmt. I did some basic configuration for Charm in ECR ( hoping it leads to the same)
1. Defined the authorization group
2. defined the signature strategy
3. defined the singnature network
where i am stuck is defining the sigunature network for objectss.Not sure of the right objbect value for change request object.
Any help/documentation/ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

I am trying to set the values for the report paramenters which are datetime type. But when I tried to set like
.SingleValue.Value = Now()
I got "One or more arguments are invalid.".
If anybody know what this means, please help. Thanks

Custom Report for the Stock and Stock value for a specific date

Hi SAP Gurus,
Is there any SAP standard t-code or any logic to get the transcations (additions (for example: Purchases) and subtractions (Sales) to the inventory) for a particular materials in a plant and with Total Stock and also Total Stock value when that particular transaction happened?
Our system is R/3 4.7
I looked at the MB5B, MBCE, MBCA, MC44, MB51 and some other standard T-codes but could not find the total stock value at the time of Transaction happened.
The history tables MBEWH and MARDH are updated after the month end closing procedures, right, which means I will have the inventory value changing every month if material has Price "S".

Unfortunately, you cannot see in a single tcode the value of stock and stock quantity on a specific date. As you yourself have pointed out, we only have to make use of the history table MBEWH, MARDH for the month wise stock quantity and value. Along with that you should also make use of the table MBEW to take teh stock quantity and value. So the total value of stock on a particular date will be
Stock qnty = MBEWH value until the previous month (for teh specific valuation class, period etc) + MBEW value for the present date.
But this will nto work out if you want to find out teh stock quantity and stock value on a past date basis. For past data, only m onthwise data is available. For this anyway you can refer to MC.1 and so on reports.
