Clarification on MXF container Export (Operational Pattern)

I'm starting this thread for some clarification on MXF Export with Adobe Media Encoder CS5.
I need to export/convert files into the MXF container Format with the operational pattern 1a (op1a)
I searched the internet for answers but these are confusing me.
here are two links with different information:
http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/907985
Todd Kopriva says this is possible with PremierePro (v.5.0.2) and/or AME version CS5 by using the format "MPEG2 MXF"
http://help.adobe.com/de_DE/mediaencoder/cs/using/WS725e431141e7ba651e63e3d1267818bc51-800 0.html
But the help file of AME says the operational pattern 1a (op1a) is new in AME CS5.5!
So my questions are:
1. Is it possible to export/convert files in MXF container with operational pattern 1a (op1a) with Adobe Media Encoder CS5 or do I need to update to version CS5.5?
2. When using in AME CS5 the format "MPEG2 MXF" which operational pattern get used? "op1a" or  "OP-Atom"
I really need correct answers because the encoded files are for digital file delivery for tv broadcasting and I want to avoid that my files get rejected by the tv company. So please no guessing here!
Maybe Todd Kopriva himself could clarify this.
I also would appreciate information on some free tools for analyzing the encoded final files to make sure the files meet the guidelines of the tv company. If someone could post links to free software which could give information which operational pattern was used in the encoded file that would help me a lot to do some proper tests.
Thanks for your help

Thank you Todd and Mark for the clarification.
sorry for answering so late I was very busy last week.
It seems that I only need MPEG2 support for the TV company and as Mark mentioned this is supported in AME 5.0.1 and newer versions. So there is no need for me at the moment to upgrade to CS 5.5. That's good to know...
Today I will have a test encoding and file delivery with the TV Company to see if I meet the requirements...
I will let you know if everything went fine.

    Hi,
    in response to a similatr post of yours, I replied
    1. Drop af:exportCollectionActionListener on a command button
    2. set the command button to display = false
    3. In your Java code, call
    ActionEvent ae = new ActionEvent(button);
    ae.queue();
    Everything you put before
    ActionEvent ae = new ActionEvent(button);
    ae.queue();
    will fires as a pre-trigger, everything after as a post trigger

  • The export operation failed to create an image file

    I've been experiencing bizarre behavior when attempting to export images to my Usb-connected card reader. After reading some threads on this form, I was convinced that my reader was defective. Same problem on a brand-new reader.
    The specific behavior was as follows: I attempted to export roughly 150 custom-named 500 KB image files to the memory card. The last 15 or so failed to transfer and I got the message, "the export operation failed to create an image file for the versions identified below."
    Trashing VP list didn't help. What did was changing the custom name. There was nothing particularly unusual about the original custom name and the new one was virtually identical. After changing the name, the export worked without a hitch.
    Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Any ideas what's going on?

    problem was that the NEW card reader was faulty as well. My luck!

  • Getting error "Cannot create a BACPAC from a file that does not contain exported data." from SqlManagementClient.Dac.ImportAsync

    We're trying to import a dacpac to azure via the new SqlManagementClient DacOperations ImportAsync api I get an exception with the error: "Cannot create a BACPAC from a file that does not contain exported data."
    This same dacpac imports fine using an alternate but less friendly API from sql server's tooling. We'd like to use the new management SDK instead for various reasons.

    Hi Kyle A Wilt,
    I am trying to involve someone more familiar with this topic for a further look at this issue. Sometime delay might be expected from the job transferring. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your understanding and support.

  • How can we do save and export operation in single step using Plugin?

    Hi all,
         I want to save and export a design in Adobe illustrator  to a specific folder using a plugin. For example i created a design called test , i want to save the test.ai and its converted jpeg form (test.jpeg) in to a specific folder using a plugin instead of using normal save and export operation (File ->Save, File->Export). I want to do the save and export operations in single step.
    Is it possible to do using the plugin?
    Thanks in advance
    Sreejesh K V.

    I have tried both option and still the file is not being saved
    This is what i tried:
    const char *fileFormatName="TIFF";AIDocumentSuite *sAIDocument;
    std::string abc =
    "D:\\Sreejesh\\test.tiff";ai::UnicodeString myString(abc);
    ai::FilePath aiFile1(myString);
    AIErr err = sAIDocument->WriteDocumentWithOptions(aiFile1, fileFormatName,
    kFileFormatExport | kFileFormatWriteAs | kFileFormatWrite ,
    false);
    SPBasicSuite *aBasic = message->d.basic;
    AIDocumentSuite *fSave;
    aBasic->AcquireSuite (kAIDocumentSuite,kAIDocumentVersion, (const void**)&fSave);
    const char *fileFormatName="Photoshop PSD Export";std::string abc =
    "D:\\Sreejesh\\test.psd";ai::UnicodeString myString(abc);
    ai::FilePath aiFile1(myString);
    AIErr serror=fSave->WriteDocument(aiFile1,fileFormatName,
    false);

  • Cannot perform export operation

    I am trying to export a table (Oracle 8.1.6, iAS 1.0.2) , but I get the following error:
    Could not find the preference storage for temporary directory. Cannot perform export operation. Contact the administrator. (WWV-17101)
    When I try to export an application and I 'Click here to download the export script file (2618 bytes). ', the browser shows a url of http://schmidm-zx/pls/portal30/docs/313.sql, however, this file doesn't exist anywhere on the machine.
    What is going on?
    null

    Martin,
    Export/Import of Tables is different from other exports(application/component/database objects)
    All the other exports generate a sql script however export of table generates a dump file.
    For import of components you need to run sql script from sql plus, however for import of table you need to run Oracle Imp utility.
    For export of table alone, you need to specify the temporary directory with sufficient privileges in global settings.
    For ex in unix machines it can be /var/tmp and for NT machines it can be c:\temp directories.

  • HELP! FLASH CS6 "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory"

    Hey guys, really need your help on this one. I can't seem to export my flash animation video. It kept failing and prompting that "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory"
    Anyone knows a solution to this. It will be very much appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
    It totally depends on what's the content you are trying to export. The reason is as simple as it says. The content might be really huge that it ran out of memory. Any info you can provide on the kind of stuff you have in the file?

  • Flash CS6, QuickTime: The export operation failed because it ran out of memory.

    Exporting a QuickTime movie file seems to be an old issue with previous versions too. In CS6 I always get the error message: "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory." I've got tons of memory and have allocated increasing amounts to the cache with no success.
    My small and fairly simple file was created with Flash CS5 which seemed to work fine at the time of creation. I've tried everything recommended online but with no luck so far. BTW, I reinstalled CS5 and tried that too but it just hangs now, and there's no error message.
    Does anyone have a solution?
    (OS X 10.7.4)

    If I may join this discussion...  I loaded up CS6 two days ago and have just completed my first 60 second animation using it.  Like everybody else here, it all went fine until I tried to export it to QuickTime – something that has never been problematic before.
    I ended up exporting it as a swf and opening that in CS4.  Then I could export it, but the resulting QuickTime movie was over 500 MB in size!  Okay, so then I opened it in QuickTime Pro and exported it from there.  This brought the file size down to a far more reasonable 35 MB, but now the soundtrack has gone!  So now I am having to replace the sound in Final Cut Pro.
    This is a real palaver – and not conducive to heaping praise on CS6 when questioned.  I note that there is talk of Adobe rectifying this "bug", but it would be really good to hear from somebody at Adobe with:
    a) An apology
    b) An estimated time of delivery
    c) A best practice work round
    But I'm guessing that anybody that works at Adobe will be the last person to read this...

  • Trouble exporting: "the requested export operation cannot be performed"

    I've been exporting different sequences (from the same project) using the same same settings all week but now suddenly when I try to export a sequence I keep getting the message: "the requested export operation cannot be performed". I have not changed any settings that I can think of and am really puzzled as to why FCP won't let me export. Also I keep getting a lot of "general error" messages while klicking in the timeline of the sequence. At first I thought it had something to do with too little hard disk space, but surely 380 GB should be plenty? Could it have to do with too little memory (running imac 3.06 GHz, 2GB memory)? Seems strange if it's a memory issue as I've been able to export all my other sequences using the same settings.
    I'm exporting HDV 1080i footage to HD h264.
    Any advice much appreciated!

    First, do you have any cmyk graphics?
    Second, in my workflow, I almost always export from fcp with sequence settings and then do the compression in compressor. You might try that.
    2gigs is not alot of memeory. You might try copying JUST your sequence to a new project and trying to export with just the new project open. Also, do you have plenty of hard disk space available on your startup drive. This is crucial as OSX swaps out memory to your startup drive when it runs out of ram.

  • Some export operations were not performed

    I have Lightroom 5. I've used it without any problems until now. When trying to export my images I get this message:
    Some export operations were not performed
    I don't know why this is happening. Searching on the internet didn't help me either, so please, can you help me?
    Best wishes

    Hi,
    Did you ever manage to solve this? I get the same message, along with this "Could not create a jpeg that met your size limit of 700K" or something to that extent. My raw files are large, but I am fairly confident some files of similar size get exported while others don't. Why? And what can one do about it to predict what size limit will be problematic?
    Best,

  • Finding text based files containing a keyword/pattern... filtering those that match pattern 2... etc.

    I'm looking to see if Powershell can help me solve a common issue I come across dealing with a large code base / set of files.
    In short I'm very frequently wanting to "grep" for files that contain a certain keyword or pattern... then (recursively) filter that set of files to those that (A) also include or (B) specifically do not include another keyword or pattern.
    e.g.
    Lets say that I have 300 PHP files that are all somewhere within a folder called "project_files".  I'd like to find all files that contain "someInclude.php"... and also contain "specialFunction()"
    Can I do this in one pass... e.g. pipe to pipe to pipe? or do I need to collect the list of file names in the first pass, then re-run the sub-query(/ies)
    $results = Get-ChildItem -recurse -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue | Select-String -pattern "someInclude.php"
    (wrapped code for readability)
    ...this is where I'm stuck as to where to go next...
    Can I iterate over my results? or do I need to write these to a file and read that file back in, searching in each file as I load it?

    Ideally I'd like to get an output at the end that is a result for each match with data including the file, the line number where the match was found, and even the line of text itself.
    I currently have this working for a single keyword search... outputting the final results object to a CSV file
    Get-ChildItem -recurse -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue |
    Select-String -pattern "someInclude.php" -AllMatches -CaseSensitive -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue |
    Select-Object path,linenumber,line |
    Export-Csv "c:\someFolder\MyMatches.csv"
    I wrapped the code above for readability... and in the Select-Object
    path = full file path
    linenumber = the line of the match
    line = the actual (full) line of text that was matched
    However in all honesty the format doesn't really matter... I just want to find the files that meet my criteria ;-)
