Clarification (Pre-order)

I need some clarification on pre-ordering the iPhone 4.
I am currently on a family plan (2 lines), neither line currently has a data plan. The main line states "Yes, you are eligible based on your current plan." The second line states "Not yet, eligible on 03/13/2011."
This may have been asked numerous times already but I just need a straightforward answer. Can I pre-order using the eligible line and activate it on the other? Will I be looking at any additional fees for doing this?

Sorry to muddy the waters in this thread where you want a clear answer, but this contradicts what a Verizon customer service rep told me on the phone yesterday.  I was informed that I could order a phone using the eligible line, then activate it on a different line, without ever having to go through the line I ordered it on.  I distinctly asked to have this clarified, as I had heard something like eleedy's response before.  Maybe the guy I talked to was mistaken.

    The pre-orders go up tomorrow for AT&T (and T-Mobile) but none of the stores around me have ANY information. They've also not heard anything about the demo units they are supposed to have tomorrow.   • In Store Pre Order Payment

    Can I pay off a pre order before the title is released?

    Hi jayxarr,
    That’s a great question! Pre-ordering games in-store comes with the luxury of only needing to put down a deposit of $5 on most video game pre-orders. However, we do know that at times, our customers would like to just pay the deposit in full and be done with it! I’ll gladly clarify the details around deposits on in-store pre-orders at Best Buy.
    As zztoluca has stated, the $5 deposit when pre-ordering in-store is only a minimum amount needed to secure your copy of any given game. If you wish to pay the full amount, you should be able to do so at the time of pre-order only. I don’t believe you can add to an existing deposit once the pre-order has been created. Also, for clarification, if you’re a Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) member, you likely won’t see your GCU benefits apply until you pick up the game and fully complete the transaction. GCU benefits usually do not reflect on the pre-order receipt itself.

    To hear you've had such poor experiences lately, including issues purchasing a Gamers Club Unlocked membership and pre-ordering other games, that you've only chosen to shop with us to use your Gamers Club Unlocked membership is greatly discouraging. Hopefully I will be able to provide some clarification on why you had such troubles pre-ordering Toukiden: Kiwami in store. 
    Presently, it appears that this title is only available for pre-order with ship to home. That being said, this would not be able to be pre-ordered in store, or online for store pickup. I sincerely apologize if this circumstance was not brought to your attention sooner, and apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may cause.

  • Pre-order at retail price - online rep confirmed

    You must have an upgrade in order to purchase the phone at all on pre-order day. There were several conflicting reports so I seriously suggest Verizon update the FAQs with this information.

    That is a bit ridiculous. The way they've been advertising it is that ANY existing Verizon customer can pre-order. I'm ineligible for upgrade but willing to spend the $750 to get one of the devices.
    Hopefully there will be more clarification on this soon. Because they already have some customers a little ticked off since they aren't doing early upgrades for it - this will cause an all out riot if they don't allow full retail pre-orders. 

  • No "Victory can be Pre-Order Bonus" not showing up?

    I've pre-order quite a few games from your $10 in Rewards Points promo.  I'm just writing to say that two games I pre-ordered and picked up have the base points applied but when I look at the details there is no mention of the 500 bonus points.  The games are Halo Master Chief Collection (ordered on 8/12/2014) and Assassin's Creed Unity (05/05/2014).  These were both placed on BestBuy.com.  If you could give me some clarification on this issue, I'd appreciate it.

    I wouldn't worry just yet! It can take 15-20 days from the time of pickup or shipment for pre-order bonus certificates to post. The associated points may also never appear as pending, and instead simply be listed on BestBuy.com on/around the date you placed your order. If you don't see record of your bonus certificate after that 15-20 day window has passed, let us know and we'd be glad to look into the situation on your behalf at that time.

        scodaddy, that is a wonderful question. We are super excited about the new iPhone. You can always pre-order your new iPhone online and then start the mail in rebate by following this link: http://bit.ly/GGnDDC Or you can always go into the store location and do it all in store on the 19th when the phone is launched. That would depend on if the store has them in stock when you go in. I hope that this was able to address your concern.

    I recently pre-ordered an album that I no longer want.  I canceled the pre-order but my current balance on my account hasn't changed.  I spent $17 on the album, and want to know if there is any way that I can get that back.

    if you purchase a itunes gift card you will not be able get your money back. unless if it has never been used, such as enetering the bar code then you can probably take it in to the original store where you bought it from with the receipt.

    Is it possible for me to go to my local apple store and pre order an iphone 5 and have it mailed to my home address? If I was to pre order it at the apple store would I have to go through AT&T to buy the phone or could I just buy the phone? Would that change the price too? I plan on getting the 16GB.

    You don't preorder in the Apple Store. You preorder on-line. It will be mailed to your home address. Apple has not yet announced an unlocked iPhone 5 in the U.S. so yes, you would need to select a carrier.

  • IPhone 5S pre-order HELL!!

    Verizon iPhone 5S PRE-ORDER HELL!! - They screwed up and dragged my situation out for 9 days!!  At the end of it all I'm still missing an iPhone 5S.  9/20 @ midnight I ordered TWO iPhone 5S 16GB silver and received a order confirmation for BOTH phones and a confirmed ship by date of 9/24.  NO notification of anything went wrong.  9/22 - I get a shipping notification from Verizon but only one mobile # is listed.  I call Customer Care and rep just quickly and casually confirms that two phones shipped.  9/23 - I get an email saying they couldn't fulfill my order completely and that the remaining order will ship 9/30.  I call Customer Care again to inquire about this and he the rep went out of his way (great guy) to confirm that two phones have shipped and that I have nothing to worry about.  Said the message was generic and was mistakenly sent out.  9/25 - I receive package and find only ONE iphone!!  I called Customer Care again and this time Adam helped me.  After looking through things, he comes back saying he thinks the iPhone was taken out of the box before shipment, stolen!!!  Had me send him all this information and said the Verizon investigation team is on it to "look" for the iphone. I asked if he could put a new order in and just exchange it for the "misplaced" iPhone.  He said it was not necessary because he believes there is a iphone somewhere.  9/27- Adam leaves me a voice mail saying that it was all a misunderstanding and my iphone should ship 9/30 and he'll be on it.  9/29 - I help my wife activate her iPhone because she tried until 3am the night before with no help.  While I'm on with Customer Care again she, Ida, asks how's my phone service in which I explain to her everything.   She looks into it and says she sees no record of any order or tracking for an iPhone.  Further says the reason one iPhone was placed on hold because a discount was applied to two devices and it could only be used for one.  I told her that I've never been notified by Verizon that something went wrong until today.  And this is after calling Customer Care numerous times.  And NOW I find this out.  She says she's going to look into it as there might be a small chance that there is an iPhone for me.  She said she'll call back by 5pm and txted me her email address.   6:00pm comes and no callback.  It also turns out the email address is bogus.  I call Customer Care again and get another rep who looks into it and does a whole bunch more investigation.  Finally she says there never was an order for my iphone and there will be no iphone shipping tomorrow.  My only choice is to place a new order and I won't get it until 10/14!!!  SERIOUSLY!!! ARGGGGGHHHHHHGGHGHHGG!!! Expletives galore!!!  Talked to the manager Brandon and asked if they can do something for me to compensate me for all this crap I went through.  I've been with Verizon for like 15 years.  He kept on saying "I understand ..blah..blah.. BUT there's nothing we can do" over and over again.  So I said Verizon made a mistake, detected this mistake but didn't notify the customer of this mistake, Customer Care couldn't figure it out until today, and that I'm out of luck?  Does he REALLY understand?  If I had known all this I could have walked to a store on 9/20 and gotten a iphone.  Pre-ordering was suppose to be a convenience provided, right? And I waited because I was led to believe that some iPhone existed..  dragged along for a ride only to find out there was no iphone.   And after all this, I get nothing but "I understand....  But there's nothing we can do..."  So yes people Verizon stinks!!! They do not hold themselves accountable for their mistakes and expects the customer to just take it.   I'll have to admit that not all customer service reps are bad (Ty, Adam, and the very last girl who helped me you guys were awesome!!  Ida you could have made this list until you decided not to call me back and gave me a bogus email).  Customer Care is a mixed bag and have not real authority to help you.  Verizon is about to lose yet another loyal customer and his family soon.  There should be some class action lawsuit for all the iphone 5s issues.  Promises/Contracts made but Verizon completely failed to keep.  They just jerk us along for a ride, dangling that ship date that keeps moving around.

I think that you are entirely correct in your assessment of customer care. Reps really can't do much at all. I believe that the key function of reps is 1. hand holding and 2. punching bag. The goal is to get the customer believe that they actually DID something, and got some result! After all the talking, the customer starts to believe that something actually happened to resolved the situation. At least they spoke to SOMEONE! Picture this: the rep is on the computer, wearing a headset, and the calls are coming at them non-stop, and you have 3 minutes to convince this person that you actually helped them! But in the end, as you said, nothing happened!  It is the sad truth of cs.
    I am curious to see if the Moderator leaves this post on the board.

  • I have pre-ordered an album and all of the songs are available for download apart from one which is listed as 99p to buy?

    Hello, I hope someone can help me.
    I pre-ordered Justin Timberlake's new album and have tried to download the album today, however for some reason "Suit & Tie" is listed as unpurchased and will charge me 99p to download?
    All the other tracks have downloaded fine apart from this one.
    A couple of things I should mention in case they affect this issue:
    I am trying to download it directly to my iPhone - I have not loaded up iTunes on my PC as of yet.
    I already have the song "Suit & Tie" as a single.
    Will iTunes realise I technically already have the song so charge me less and just give me the remainder of the album?

    We are having this same issue.  We have over 200 songs that are now missing and only our most recent ones show up in our ITunes library.  Fortunately we have one phone that still has all of our music still in tact. This phone is no longer one I will be using as I upgraded to the Iphone 6, and only the most recent purchased songs remain.  The rest are no where to be found and the iTunes store shows that I would need to re-purchase.  Not sure what to do as when I tried to sync my last phone, all the songs were gone.

     It seems to me you pre order and then you register it with the serial number after you receive the product to get the 8 year warranty.
    Products have to be registered within 30 days from original date of pre-order purchase to receive our limited 8 years warranty. (Products failed to register within 30 days will still receive standard 3 years warranty).
     A little extra research by you would have come up with this same little tidbit of information.

    Are you logged into her iTunes account using her Apple ID on the iPad? Settings>Store>Apple ID?
    If you are, you could try restarting the iPad and try again, maybe that will reset everything - and maybe it won't. But, if you continue to get the message about contacting support, there may be a red flag that came up somewhere along the line - and the only way to resolve it may be to contact iTunes Support.

    If you pre-order, they will ship to your verified shipping address, & you will get it on launch day. In the US, you cannot have pre-orders shipped to a store.
