ClassCastException when accessing others app ejb

Hi,
I have the following problem:
I use OC4J 9.0.2.0.0.
I have a stateless SessionBean BeanA deployed in application AppA.
I have a stateless SessionBean BeanB deployed in application AppB.
I have a servlet ServletC deployed in application AppC.
All 3 applications are deployed to the same oc4j instance.
ServletC needs BeanA and BeanB.
When ServletC tries to access one of the 2 ejbs a ClassCastException is thrown when the PortableRemoteObject.narrow() should be done.
In the forum I found some hints using the parent attribute in the application tag of the server.xml file.
But this only works for a client only using one other application but I have 2.

Hi Debabrata,
I use the com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory.
I think it is no good idea to have a chain of parents.
I lose the separate class loaders.
I cannot use different versions of libraries.
There must exist a better solution than chaining applications with the parent attribute.

I have installed I07 and ever since it freezes when accessing certain Apps

When i go to email i get a blank screen (with the compose icons on the top right) and the app freezes, same goes with facebook and other apps. what am i doing wrong ?

settings- general- reset - reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings - wifi- click network name - enter password - join

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when experiencing Home button issues. The article below is labeled for the iPhone, but the steps are the same for your iPad.
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. Get further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications.
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone.
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.
The Home button isn't working
Put the iPhone to sleep.
Wait a couple of seconds.
Press the Home button.
iPhone should wake up.
If iPhone does not wake up, then iPhone should be serviced.
If the issue persists after all the steps have been processed see the last section labeled issue not resolved.

My iPod can't connect to Facetime. Message says to check network connection and try again. I have no trouble accessing other apps requiring an internet connection.

Can't connect to Facetime or messages on iPod touch. When I try to sign in, message says to check network connection and try again. I have tried multiple times with both apps with the same result. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection as I am able to check my e-mail and all of the other apps that require wifi so I can't figure out what the problem is. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Streaming from ipod/ipad to ATV2 interrupted when using other apps at the same time.

Hi. I have an Apple TV2, ipad1 and ipod touch4. I am having trouble with music streaming to the ATV2. I can select a song on the ipad/itouch and stream it to the ATV2 no problem using airplay. However, if I then try to surf the net on the ipad/itouch or use any other app at the same time as listening to the music, the music hiccups. It seems to me like the ipad/itouch need to use the wifi network at the same time and so they take over the signal momentarily. Any ideas what I can do about this? My wireless router is a dual band 2.4 and 5 mhz gigabit router that is brand new and should not have any problems.

Ferrell, I have done what you suggested. I clicked onto the Spaces icon in the upper control panel and assigned spaces to six apps: Mail, Safari, iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, and iWeb.
The problem is that if I am one app and I want to put something into that app, then the minute my mouse cursor goes to get that other thing, the original application into which I want the thing put GETS WHOOSHED OFF THE DESKTOP. What I want is for the original app to remain open whilst I go to retrieve a file or folder, and stay open while I put that thing into the original app.
How does one turn off Spaces? I don't mean to delete all the names from the settings.I mean, just turn it off for a while so I can do something which requires for two apps to be open at the same time????

ClassCastException when accessing WS

I developed a small sample webservice using the JWSDP. It works fine when I invoke it's methods locally and deployment to Tomcat seems to work as well, at least the .war file is unpacked and I get the "A Web Service is installed at this URL......" page when I point my browser to the according URL.
Now I wrote the simplest possible client to test the service's accessibility. It's supposed just to invoke a SOAP call to one of the methods and display the result, everything hard wired. First weird thing is, when I just use the service's URL, I get a SOAP Fault stating: "Missing port information". I can get past that if I add the port's name. But that doesn't do the job as I now get another SOAP Fault: "Internal server error". In the Tomcat logs, I found out a ClassCastException occurs somewhere in my service class. This is quite strange, because neither the service class nor the client contains any class cast.
I read that duplicate jar files in the classpath are a common cause for ClassCastException, but not in this case, I made sure I do not have double jars included.
Any suggestions where I could search for the error?

I am also getting the same ClassCastException , while accesing the deployed webservice from my client program.
I have deployed a simple webservice which is developed accroding the the article from sun, and deployed it succesfully on Tomcat, (Tomcat has come with JWSDP1.1 installation).
I can see the following message from the browser after deloying the webservice,
A Web Service is installed at this URL.
It supports the following ports: "SunRegPort" (http://localhost:8080/SunReg/jaxrpc/SunRegPort)
I tested with Tomcat Admin manager (http://localhost:8080/manager )and observed that my service is running on tomcat server,
BUT....
while trying to access the webservice from the standalone java client program, I got the "java.rmi.ServerException: Internal Server Error (java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.xml.rpc.server.http.ServletEndpointContextImpl) "
The server logfile is also populated with the same error mesg.
I made sure that the proper classpath is setup, but stil.... :-(

is part of the path. When I query the database with

it seems you are trying to access a column as a blob type when the data in
that column is not blob.
Make sure that your column number 5 is defined as Blob in the database.
I tried the following code and it worked fine for me.
Blob b=rs.getBlob("data");
long l=b.length();
byte bt[]=b.getBytes(1,(int)b.length());
File f=new
File("d:\\bea\\wlserver6.1\\config\\jdbcdomain\\applications\\defaultwebapp\
\blob_new.pdf");

It was able to create the file blob_new.pdf
But when I tried the following code it gave me the same exception as you are
getting

Where id is a column in the database of varchar type
I am using the following settings

url: jdbc:weblogic:oracle
i am using wl 6.1 and oracle 8

I have an old work apple ID that is associated with my App Store . I have created new apple ids and reset in settings but whenI access the App Store it still defaults to my old work apple ID. I can't seem to get passed this, any ideas?

Hi tried the various options but ended up deleting the apps associated with the old Appleid and then accessing them from the App Store and reloading. They automatically asked for the new Appleid and password.

Security Problem when Access Other File types

we have report files in pdf and excel that generated from java.
we then call this file from browser through URL :http://java1.sdc-net/msp/excel/result/workbook.xls.
this just work fine, but when we implement j2ee declarative security constraint (we use custom jdbc realms):

What kind of errors are you getting ?.Do you able to login without any problem ?.Could you enable the log level in security to FINEST and set the Audit enabled to true and run the application. It will tell you what's going wrong.
Let us know the result and please post the logs.

Mail app brought to front when in other app?

When in Safari or Firefox, Mail application come to the front. It is annoying, is there a preference somewhere for this?

I've never experienced this problem before upgrading to Lion. No changes have been made to my Mail preferences. It may be happening when it retrieves my messages, but still very undesirable. But maybe not.
Most of the times it happens when I am browsing into Firefox or Safari, but I am not clicking links to e-mail.

Scroll Bars Missing In New Item Dialog Box When Accessing Other Site Collection

I have run into a problem I am hoping someone can quickly inform me of what I am doing wrong. I am creating 2 hyperlinks on a page that will create new items in one of 2 separate lists (1 on each site collection). I tried using the same code in my CEWP for
each and encountered a funky issue, whenever I access a different site collection with the below code the dialog box says DIALOG for the title and there are no vertical scroll bars. Does anyone know how to tweak the below code (or improve it) to bring back
the scroll bars for the dialog box?

AE CS6: rendering RAM-Preview stops when using other app parallel

sometimes rendering the RAM-Preview takes some time.
while waiting I would like at least to read some articles on the internet.
But as soon as I click into an other windows, AE stops rendering.
is there a special setting / workaround to avoid this (user-unfriendly behavior) ?

yes, I am familiar with speeding up the rendering... still takes alot of time and at least browsing the internet should be possible while AE renders the ram-previews...

Aperture previews/Can't see Aperture library in other apps.

This isn't really a new problem for me, but I decided to ask now to see if it can be fixed somehow. I use Aperture 3.4.5, OSX 10.8.4. The problem is that Aperture doesn't show up under the Media tab when in other apps. For instance, in Mail if I try to attach a picture. It shows iPhoto and Photobooth. But I get an error when I click on Aperture that tells me I need to turn on sharing to iLife in the preferences of Aperture. But this is turned on. Still no access to the Aperture library. Same thing in iTunes. Now, since my Aperture and iPhoto libraries are linked I can just choose the photos I want to attach from the iPhoto library. But I want to choose the Aperture library!!
But it won't let me. I cannot add projects/folders to my iPhone or iPad in iTunes either. I get the same turn on the sharing message. And I have this turned on.
I've seen a few other people with this problem in searches I have done but I have not seen any solutions...

So your Aperture library is in fact a previous iPhoto library.
Correct. When I purchased Aperture, I imported from my iPhoto library. And I guess they are shared.
I am still not quite sure about the state of your iPhoto/Aperture library. Depending on when you bought Aperture, you may have imported the iPhoto Library into a new Aperture Library; then you now have an Aperture library, or you may have simply opened the iPhot Library in Aperture, keeping it an iPhoto Library. The Finder can show you what it is.
Select your library in the Finder and use the Finder command "Get Info ⌘I". The Info panel will show you the type of the library.
Disclose the "General" brick in the panel. The "Kind" will either show "iPhoto Library" or "Aperture Library".
Then disclose the "Name & Extension" brick and look, if your library has a filename extension - aplibrary or photolibrary. Uncheck "Hide Extension" to see it.
If your library still is "Kind iPhoto Library", then you never imported your Library, you only used it in Aperture.
Or if you want to use iPhoto and Aperture with separate photo libraries, import your current library into a new Aperture library. Open your now empty Aperture Library in Aperture by double-clicking it. Then use the command "File > Import > Library" in Aperture and select your iPhoto library. This will import all events, albums, etc. into your empty Aperture Library and craete a copy of the iPhoto library, but now it will have the kind "Aperture Library" and the Media Browser should show it in the Aperture section and not the iPhoto section. Only make sure, that you unhide all photos in iPhoto, before you do that. Aperture cannot unhide photos that have been hidden in iPhoto.
My question here is if I go into my new Aperture Library, and import from iPhoto again (and I guess make them not shared?) Will it then *copy* my iPhoto library, which is 240GB. Then I would have 2 240GB folders??
I appreciate the help so far. Right now I'm doing the generate preview thing again, which is taking awhile. But I'm guessing that since my iPhoto and Aperture libraries are linked and shared now this won't matter much. I will still only see iPhoto listed in the Media Browser..
Let's talk about that part of your question when we know for sure, if you already imported your iPhoto library or simply opened it in Aperture. If your library is an Aperture library with an imported iPhoto library inside there may be additional complications.

OS X Yosemite access to app store failed

Since I updated my system to the new OS X Yosemite, I cannot update my mac any longer. I tried selecting the automatic update, but I keep getting the same error when accessing the app store. Happening only with new updates. I get this error message >> 10.0.1.7 <<, and it says it cannot connect to the app store. I tried with different networks, for a more secure connection and still not working.
