Classes and object exercise! help!

Question

I'm really really new to JAVA... don't even know how to make a single line of code that will run.
I have this exercise that wants me to.... creat a MySavings application that displays a menur of choices for entering pennies nickels, dimes and quarters... it tells the user to make a selection.... The application should include a PiggyBank object that can add coins to the piggy bank, remove coins, and return the total amount in the bank. The output looks like this:
*1. show total in bank.*
*2. Add a penny.*
*3. add a nickel*
*4. add a dime.*
*5. add a quarter*
*6. take money out of bank.*
Enter 0 to quit.
Enter your choice: 5
yea.....can someone start me off? Because I have no idea where to start, or how to write this program.
I only know that it will begin like:
public class MySavins {

Dx I usually I understand it when the code is given... i'll analyze it and be like 'ohh thats how u do it" and understand it when theres an example.I'm sure there are examples in your text or tutorial or presented by your teacher, as there are in the links I provided. And you can google for examples of I/O, computation, looping, whatever concept is giving you trouble.
The first thing you have to do though is break the problem into pieces and figure out the steps for the different pieces without regard to Java.
Im new to this school taking comp sci so Ive never learned this program from the beginning... and this course starts from chap 10. for my grade.That's irrelevant and doesn't change anything I've said.
