Classic screen for Numbers

After loading Mavericks and updating the mailprogram, I started working on mail, foud a completely different lay-out, but in no time I found the button to get back to the familiar old lay-out.
Only thereafter I updated the numbers, pages and other application programs, trusting that a button for "old-lay-ot" could be found as well.
WhenI started working on numbers I noticed that the classic lay-out has completely disappeared and that the method of working with it had been changed completely.
Is Apple following the Windows footsteps by changing about everything completely ??
I was flabbergasted to hear that a "restore lay-out button" is not available on numbers.
I assume that pages has the same problem??
Does anybody know a way to use Mavericks and maintain the lay-out of the old numbers ?

Dear Csound1,
I'm glad that you could give me that answer, which is contradictory to what somebody at the Apple helpdesk said earlier today. He suggested to bring back the whole system to the end of january status by eans of the time machine.
I feel that the newer Number program is a modifcation, but not an improvement; look at colours / lining out text and other things on first glance.

Can I change my call picture to something different then the lock screen for numbers that don't have a photo assigned?

Hi,
I have Picture A set as my lock screen picture and certain people in my contacts have a picture assigned to them. However, I would like to assign Picture B to all other callers as well as have numbers not in my contact list come up as Picture B.
Is there a way to do this other than just assigning Picture B to ALL other contacts? Because that still wouldn't work for numbers that call me/I call that are in my my contact list.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

How do I get the Screen for pages, numbers and quickbooks to become bigger on my screen.
The Font is fine for pringing

Mac's don't have UI scale options like Windows has.
Either you can drop the screen resolution in Displays a wee bit and make things appear distorted, or do what I do and use the Universal Access and set a control key, then use a mouse wheel/scroll to zoom in and out where the mouse is pointed.

Screen Part Numbers For A20m

Hi all! I am thinking about replacing the screen in my Thinkpad A20m Type 2628-4TU, as it is not working very well. I see the part number for the screen is 47L8450. Is this the only part number that will work, or is there a list somewhere of compatible screens for my type, or will any 14.1 inch screen taken out of an A20m work?

Any 14" XGA screen taken out of A20m, A21m and A22m will work with no issues.

Lightroom won't boot -I only get the splash screen for a second.

I do have the photographers version of the Creative Cloud which included Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom. Everything was working just fine until I upgraded to Lightroom version 5.6. Now when I try to load LR, the slash screen shows for a second then disappears and LR does not load. This occurs on both my Mac (a Mac Pro and a iMac). I uninstalled LR and had creative cloud reinstall but still the same thing is happening - Splash screen for a second then nothing. Again, this is happening on both Mac's. Photoshop CC 2014 I working just fine.
Before I call Adobe, any ideas here on this issue. BTW, Creative Cloud App states LR in up to date and installed.

My iPhone 3G phone button no longer works. If I push it I get a black screen for a few seconds then back to the home screen. Everything else is ok. Any ideas how to fix this?

The phone button on my iPhone 3G no longer works. Everything else on the iPhone works fine. I can receive incoming calls. I can make calls directly from Contacts. But if I press the phone button I get a blank white screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the home screen. I've tried the hard reset and also restoring orignall settings via iTunes but keep getting the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for the advice but I've tried resetting network settings and also the reset by pressing home and sleep buttons until getting the Apple logo. Still have the same problem. To be clear (because I mistakenly typed black instead of blank in the title to this thread): If I press the phone button I get a BLANK WHITE screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the home screen. I doubt it's the SIM card as I can receive calls and make them directly from contacts. What I can't do is view my favourite numbers or missed calls or access my voicemail, i.e. all the things you get to via pressing the phone button.

It's probably going to be a capitalisation error. In other words, one or more tracks on the album has a lower case letter at the beginning of the album name while all the others have a capital letter. They can be difficult to spot.
In iTunes, examine one of your duplicated albums carefully. You should be looking for a slight difference between the album title name. Look at the screenshot below, can you see the error in the album title?
It is there...
The title track (Left Of The Middle). Look at the capitalisation of the album name.
Once you find you error in your album, re-type it (or copy-and-paste from one track to all the tracks) and then SYnc your iPod to iTunes. Does that cure it? If nto, let us know.

Replacement screen for: Satellite C8550 S5110

Have bought the following laptop in the USA:

Am back in Australia and the screen is cracked and needs replacing.The model numbers are different here and Toshiba Australia do not know the part number for a replacement screen on this model
Anyone got any ideas how to get this- have had a global run around this morning!

Hi buddy,
Normally the LCD is always the same part but if you want to make sure you get the correct LCD you should ask an authorized service provider in your country. The guys have access to Toshiba database and can search for exact part number and can order this screen for you.

Maybe that feature wasn't included in the early GTS 10.0 shipment? You really ought to apply the Support Packages (SP19 is now available).
But take a look in table VCLSTRUC (using Transaction SE16), and see what entries you find with VCLNAME = /SAPSLL/VC_CTS_LGREG. The one you're interested in is PREDOBJECT = /SAPSLL/V_TLU9LD. If it's not already assigned, see if it's available in the drop-down list.
If that entry is available, you could try adding it to the assignments, and see if that solves the problem.
Otherwise you should still be able to configure by adding entries to view /SAPSLL/V_TLU9LD using Transaction SM30.

Goal Setting/Planning Templates for Numbers?

been scouring online and have found mostly only hosted solutions for personal goal setting and planning. its the start of new year and would like to get my goals organized. does anyone know of a personal goal setting/planning/tracking template that has been created for Numbers?

None that come to mind, but if you can describe the features you need in such a template (preferably with screen shots of what the finished product will look like, I'm sure there'll be people here who can offer assistance in setting one up.

White lines on ipod classic screen, could it be cracked screen? it has never been dropped or anything. Is it pretty common problem. Contacted apple support, denies problem exist.

White lines three appeared on my ipod classic screen. It has never been dropped or screen scratched. Suddenly white lines appeared on the screen. Tried to reset settings, nothing changed. Is this a common issue with ipod classic coz apple adviser denying ever having heard of this problem and I have to pay half of msrp to fix it. Offered 10% off to purchase new ipod and turn in old one. What a waste. Apple should take responsibility if this problem is indeed inherent with this product.

The magnets are tnot the cause.
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem.
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPad: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore tofactory defaults/new iPad
If still problem then time for an appointment at teh Genius Bar of an Apple store. The drops may have damaged it or there could be another cause.

When you connect the iPod to the adapter or PC, you should see either of these signs on the iPod Screen .
If you just get
It may mean that your Adapter is not giving enough juice, because
the adapter or the cable is defective or
your bottom dock connector is dirty with lint or dirt.

Glass touch screen for 310-1125f?

Does any one know where I can buy a replacement glass touch screen for my touchsmart 310-1125f product number: BV551AAR ? I have located the LCD display on ebay and a few other websites but I have not been able to find the actual touch screen glass assembly. Mine is cracked. I think the touch smart 310-1125 series is the same. It's the 20" size and HP's part number is 624359-001 and the description is Touch Screen Glass 20 Inch, Shasta this is according to HP's Partsurfer

Welcome to HP 's Forum. Sorry your Touchsmart has a crack glass. Please check your compter's warranty status. When you bought it came with a one year warranty. All HP Touchsmart 310 have the same external parts the last four numbers and letters only mean different memory and hard drive difference or more connector ports such as TV cards stuff like that. You can also try greg's list or Amazon.com and buy.com as well besides ebay. On this forum there was guy who had a glass cut for it. About six months or so back. He posted all that was involved. Thank you frrw. If i come accross any broken cheep HP Touchsmart 310 models. While surfing the web. I will post it for you.

IPod Classic screen-more durable?

The reviews I'm reading seem to contradict each other. Some say that the new Classic screens are made of the same kind of glass (durability-wise) as the iPhone, and some are saying they're just as scratch-prone as the 5th gens were. Anyone know for sure? Obviously I am NOT going to test this, after dropping $335 bucks on this thing. (Thank goodness for the iPod recycling program! 10% discount ftw!)
Sure would be nice not to have to get a case for this new 160GB Classic. I love iSkin, but a) they don't have a skin specifically for the new Classics yet, and b) I want my new silvery iPod to be shown in all its glory!

I see. Not bad, the deal you got then. Not bad at all. And if you'd rather not put anything on your iPod, then you'd rather only keep it until the next generation, I'm assuming? It will surely, with normal use, take some lumps. I'd say the screen isn't made to be as durable as the iPod touch or iPhone simply understanding the way Apple thinks. First, the screen on the iPone is made to withstand a lot of traffic, what with it being a touch screen and all. Second, the screen is the big deal with the iPhone, it's bigger, and is made to display. The iPod Classic is more or less made to play your music. Therefore, Apple could cut costs by simply only using an adequate screen. It won't have the traffic of the iPhone because, theoretically, there's no need to actually ever touch it, right? Also, the screen is smaller and the video and photo capabilities is, for the most part, just a novelty. Anyways, I'd be very careful with the carefree liberties you intend on taking with your new device. I can understand the intention to not put anything on it, and I can understand that in a couple months, you probably wouldn't even care about the scratches it has anyways. Eh, it's all relative, actually. I'd say there's no way you'll keep this thing for the duration of its life (say 3 years) without scratching the screen if you don't protect it with a film. My opinion.
