Classic.xml in Dreamweaver is empty

I use classic.xml in Dreamweaver. Somehow the file has become empty. Could someone send me a copy of it? Dreamweaver won't finish loading without it.

Xml and dreamweaver

I've been told with xml you can make sites like for magazines
and update content easily. But I'd like to know if that's true and
if you can do pages that have images like in this site with xml in
dreamweaver...

if you navigate through this site(which by the way isn't
finished), you'll see images are in different parts of the content
space, I'd like to be able to put images in diferent places when I
update the page each month and change a bit the design, but be able
to update images and text using xml, is that possible? if not, is
there another way to do that?

Step 1. Go out and buy Dreamweaver 8.
You cannot do it in MX 2004. Working with XML Fragments and
the XSL
Transformation server behavior are new to DW8.

Hello,
i have a flash gallery, administered by with an xml file
which iw ant tot put into my dreamweaver site. How can this be
done? At presesnt the gallery doe snot load properrly, i looks like
it cannot find the xml file. I droppe dint he swf file the same way
i would importing any flash file. Its works fine outwith
dreamweaver
Does anyone have any idea's?

XML Schemas: Regex for empty string?

Hi Folks,
It appears that the new Oracle schema processor has a bug in processing regular expressions.
Example. Create a regular expression which allows a string of characters 5-10 characters in length, or empty.
Here's the regex:
[a-zA-Z]{5-10}|()
When I use this in a pattern facet and in my instance document create an empty element for this type it gives me an error message (sorry, I don't recall the exact message).

Delete XML Message permanently (SXMB_MONI) = empty

Hi all,
Could you help me how to delete all the xml message so my table become empty, no more message
in SXMB_MONI. because i already try execute RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES, but the xml message still there.

Not all messages were deleted cause the retention period might not have expired for those messages.

Where is the classic workspace in dreamweaver cc?

In Dreamweaver CC we have only compact and expanded workspaces.
You can customize your workspace however as per your requirements

Classic Workspace in Dreamweaver CC

In Adobe videos about Dreamweaver CC it states we should use the Classic Workspace. However I have noticed the Classicc WS has been replaced by Compact and Expanded.
How do I either bring back Classic or make a custom workspace as there is no instructions how to do this?

of the gentlemen had shown in Dreamweaver 8 that he had taken XML
from a website like a news site like CBC. And now his page had the
real time of CBC news documents. How do you do this in Dreamweaver
MX 2004. Can someone tell me this step by step? Thank you.

Web Service Task - XML Task - values are empty while trying to read from XPATH. Can someone help me on this ?

I have to fetch Emp details (emp code, last name, first name ...etc) from a WSDL.
for this i have created HTTP connection -> created Web Service Task -> created XML Tasks for those emp code, last name, first name ... etc for each -> set a
breakpoint over post execution -> verified & found that the variables are blank though my
results variable has some XML data generated.

XSLT Transformation ABAP to XML speacial treatment of empty elements

Dear All,
I have created a deep abap structure which basically reflects the structure of my XML file which I would like to generate later. I have created a transformation via transaction SE80->create XSLT Program. I am also using the ABAP command call transformation...
I have made a few ammendments to my XSLT program where required.
I am outputting data in a loop.
But I got a problem with one field. I must check if this date field is initial.
Which I did by using statement:
<xsl:if test="ENDDATE='0000-00-00'">
But if this field is initial I have to output the following tag:
<ENDDATE ReasonForNull="9"></ENDDATE>
Hence I defined an attribute below in my element as follows:
   <xsl:for-each select="INSTANCE/_-PIQGB_-INSTANCE_XML">
<xsl:if test="ENDDATE='0000-00-00'">
   <xsl:element name="ENDDATE">
       <xsl:attribute name="ReasonForNull"/>
    </xsl:element>
</xsl:if>
   </xsl:for-each>
Which generates now the output as follows and is quitwe close to the desired output:
<ENDDATE ReasonForNull=""></ENDDATE>
Can anybody make a suggestion how I can generate the desired output.
I assume that I would have to assign a value to the attribute to get the right output. But I got no idea how I could this in the loop.

Trying to convert a INDD doc into HTML/XML for Dreamweaver

I have a CS3 IN doc...16.9 MB with READ and WRITE permissions. I have 60GB of disk available. When I try to CROSS-MEDIA EXPORT...it errors into:
Exporting "myfilename.indd" as XHTML Failed.
Couldn' create file "". There might not be sufficient space available or you man not have permission to create files in this location.

I am talking about the location TO which you are saving when it comes to space available and permissions. You should be able to see where it is when chosing save or export, And free harddiskspace on the main disk you are working from. Is the destination on a server?

XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file: C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\Classic.xml
I have gone through older disscussion forums and have followed the steps recommended by deleting the corrupted .xml file itself (in this case "Classic.xml") but imidiatly after when i try to open Dreamweaver again, i am prompted with the same fatal error message including the file that i have just deleted. Next i deleted the entire configure file and this did not help either.
It is also odd that when i follow the path to find the corrupted .xml file from the prompt, the path is different in that i do not find the "Classic.xml" file through th "en_US\Configuration\Weorkspace" navigation, however i do find the corrupt "Classic.xml" file in the "configure" folder of the "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" file.
Im not sure what to do now and i would really like Dreamweaver back up and running so please help if you can!!!

Step 1: Close DW, Navigate to C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\ and delete that Classic.xml file
Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your Workspace layout XML file again. See if it works fine.
PROCEED TO STEP 2 ONLY IF STEP 1 DOESN'T SOLVE THE ISSUE
Step 2: Navigate to C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en-US\Configuration and delete the entire 'CONFIGURATION' folder. Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your configuration folder based on predefined layouts and config options. This will definitely fix your issue.
Reason for this issue: This issue would have been caused due to a malformed workspace layout configuration. That may happen due to customizations you may have done to the layout/ improper file permissions/ improper shutdown on Windows.
See if these fixes resolve your issue and post your results here.
