Classical Music download problems err 504 and 9006

I have been having non-stop error 504 and 9006 issues with a download of Madame Butterfly. Searches for the same issues seem to turn up that many Classical fans report the same download errors. It may be a coincidence or it may be an issue with Apple allocating less server capacity to the much smaller Classical community? I may be wrong but if other are like me I download albums consistently - in the case of Madame Butterfly it s a 36 cut download and wit the ITPlus all of these are well over 5 Mb in size.
To make matters worse Apple has hit my credit card (as before) but I do not have the goods yet!!!

I cannot imagine that this really depends on the kind of music you hear. But classical pieces tend to be longer, and chances to be hooked off the server multiply by at least 2 or 3. I tried to download string quartetts with 15 MB parts. Tried all the tricks. Once I had the impression it was faster with Firefox on in the foreground. But this is probably mere superstition. I gave up now.

HT201272 I have several long classical music downloads that do not finish or skip after a minute to the next track. The iTunes store recognizes these as successful downloads. They are not, but there is no way to complete the downloads now. Or is there?

Using ITunes support was useless. The support help says that they can be downloaded if I go to the store again. But the store says that they are downloaded and will not download them. It will only allow me to delete them or more correctly "hide" them.
There are issues with downloads taken on two separate computers.
Another question is why do all of the earlier Classical downloads, made five or so year ago or more, cut the very ends of each track of Classical music short and cue up the next track too quickly?

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

Firefox downloads "failed". Have reset FF, been through "downloading problems" trouble doc, and uninstalled/reinstalled FF w/o luck. Safari is able to download.

Recently I am unable to download anything in FF. It briefly acts as if downloading, but the file is corrupted and the next to the file in the DL manager it just says "Failed".
I tried Resetting FF. No luck.
Then I tried all the steps in the "downloading problems" support doc. No luck.
I tried with all add-ons disabled. No luck.
In desperation, I searched for "Firefox" and moved two folders called Firefox, the application, and a .plist file to the trash (still there) and redownloaded Firefox and reinstalled. No luck.
If I click on a .pdf it will be be viewable, but it won't download. It's not just .pdfs that fail, it is any file I try and download.

I have the same problem and I also tried a lot of troubleshooting advices without any success.
The problem seems to be with OS X Parental Control turned on and using a other account than the one of the admin.
The user sl-nw found a short-term solutions (changing back to version 31, working like a charm or turning off Parental Control), yet a long-term solution is needed:

IPod classic podcast download problem

How can I redownload my podcasts which disappeared the last time I synced my iPod Classic 160gb?

I think i fixed the problem something i didn't want to do, but i tried unchecking each artist and removing them from the ipod and check them back and put them back on the ipod i also reset my ipod but none of that still didn't work so i decided to restore my ipod something i didn't want to do because i have so much music and put everything back on my ipod and that seem to work so just have to see how long it stay like that before the artwork get screwed up again which i hope not.
so if anyone else is having the same problem with the artwork messed up on your ipod just restore your ipod, it worked for me.

What is your phone model? Are you having the same concern when downloading an app from the store? Have you tried to restart the phone? Can you check if your phone is already updated to the latest version?

Music downloading problem 9360

Hi,
I have a blackberry 9360... I bought the phone about 2 months ago and it was downloading songs perfectly. As of lately I'll download a song and when it gets to about a quarter of the way it'll stop downloading and say 'Error'. I only have this problem with downloading songs, I can download apps (which I've tried downloading large apps and it works) and pictures, so I find it kind of strange
I'm clueless as to what the problem could be... I've ruled out memory and my memory card (I even reformatted it thinking that could be the problem).
I've pulled the battery and even tried downloading in an area with EDGE and 3G and it still doesn't download. I've also ruled out a faulty memory card as when I save a song to my device memory the same thing happens.
Hopefully someone can help... I'm annoyed to the extreme!!!

Weird music download problem with authorization

ok, I don't know *** is going on. the music store and itunes used to be all fine and dandy. now suddenly they hate me, and REFUSE to play music that I got off the music store. apparently I have become the devil in the eyes of itunes. it asks me to authorize, and I do. then it's all like 'lawl ok', and then is suddenly like 'uhh no we can't do this, and we aren't even going to tell you why' (unknown error -208). I've updated itunes which is similar to a reinstall, and the problem still isn't fixed. I had just bought a new album too. this is really ******* me off. what is going on?

Your hidden SC file has been corrupted.
Goto "My Computer" hit tools>Folder Options>View tab and check "Show Hidden Files and folders" then UNCHECK "Hide Protected Operating System Files".
Now goto C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\ and delete the "SC" folder.
Open iTUnes and goto advanced>Deauthorize computer and deauthorize (Make sure your connected to the internet when doing this). now pick a random purchased song and authorize, you should now be set
PS you may want to open "My Computer" and put a check beside "Hide Protected operating system files" now so you don't delete a main file of windows by mistake

Download problems digital signature and unknown publisher

I have tried to download adobe reader and it goes halfway then stops and comes up with ( digital signature and unknown publisher ). I am running windows vista with an adminastrator account.

Radio download problems to itunes and ipod

Hope someone can help - I am trying to download some radio shows to my ipod (an ipod photo colour) from the internet - I can get the file onto my mac and into itunes but when I try to put it on my ipod I get a message saying that it can't be done because the ipod can't play the file. It is a .m3u file and I have been in touch with other listeners who say that they have the same set up as me and it works fine. Can I convert the files or something so that they play? There is another site offering the downloads but when I click on the one I want then it opens up an audio file in safari which starts playing and downloading. If I click 'save as' and save it to desktop then play it back through itunes then it shows a counter at the bottom of '0.00' and just clicks off - any help or advice would really be appreciated with this! I really want those shows!

The first link leads to a page where the download links are all m3u's.
To capture the streaming audio, you will need an application like Audio Hijack or Wiretap.
The second links shows a website with actual mp3's.
To download these files (if you're using Safari), control-click on the link and choose 'Download Linked File'. That will download a file which plays fine in iTunes and on the iPod
If you just click them, they are played with the QT-plugin. When you save them with QT Pro they have the wrong creator (TVOD) and the wrong type (Moov). They play in iTunes, but do not transfer to the iPod. To correct that, change type.
If you just save the page, they are saved as a small .mpga file (don't know what it is) and it plays for 1 second in iTunes.

My iphone refuses to download some of the songs from my itunes. I once had 696 songs but now i only have 410. Before whenever I played a song it would delete it from my phone

so the problem was a corrupt memory card.. good work..

How do I omit pauses when downloading classical music? Is it possible to make a single 'song' for a symphony or set of preludes?

I only have classical music downloaded into iTunes and the system does not apear to recognise familiar formats in this genre. With somehting like Bach or Shostakovich preludes, pauses between them are bearable: but I would never wish to shuffle them.However with opera, singing and orchestral pieces often run into each other without pause. Is it possible to link a set of what iTunes calls 'songs' into a seamless whole? Also with a symphony it would be extremely attractive to omil the Shuffle option altogether: it can be activated by mistake. Is there any way of telling it to go away?

Highlight the track(s), right-click, Get Info, and go to the Options tab. Put a checkmark on "Skip When Shuffling," the OK out.
