Classification(CTBW) Delta

Hi Gurus,
I generated a new datasource via CTBW for material batch classification information.
The tcode for inputting batch classification are MSC1N or MSC2N.
I did a initialization in BW side and able to get all records. However, after the initialization, new/changed records are unable to get. Delta loads can only return 0 records.
I checked the table BDCP and RSA7 and they were empty. My question is, is it possible to pull delta records for the datasource?

The 1CL datasource is based on a generic datasource on a ZMCHA view. The view contains fields from table MCHA.
I didn't set delta fields for the generic datasource. Is it the cause that I couldn't get delta? If so, there are create date and last change date in the generic datasource, how could I set the delta field?
The time for a full load is about 40 minutes and the frequency is daily. It's an important object for business.

CTBW - Delta issue

Hi all,
I need help about DELTA extraction for CTBW - configuration data for Sales Order.
Initial data is ok. But no delta is created when a "Sales Order with variant configuration" is created.
CTBW configuration on R/3 as below:
Basic Datasource 2LIS_11_VAITM
Client 100
Class Type 300
Object Table VBPS
Data source type TRAN
Data source 1CL_OLIS001
710655, 821105, 828587 and 835176 OSS notes are already applied on R/3.
By the way, there's no problem with 2LIS_11_VAITM datasource, we can get daily delta.
Any help will be appreciated..

hi,
if you are going to laod the full repair for the past 5 months then you need to initialize the setup tabel first.
the data in the set up table and in the delta queue are going to be similar.if you laod the delta again it is going to pull that huge data again which is pulled by the full repair.
so stop the v3 job,delete the data in the delta queue, perform full repair by initializing the set up table and run a init w/o data and start the v3 job and then a delta load.
thsi could solve ur issue.

Notification classification extractor not trigger delta

I am facing the same .we have created custom data source for Notification classification using notification master data extractor(0NOTIFICATN_ATTR) but delta is not trigger for any changes in the notification line items..

In SAP standard, the DataSource 0NOTIFICATN_ATTR is not DELTA compatible.

Hi Vishnu,
In your case you need to build the logic for your custom fields as you have enhanced the Business Content DS..
The way you can build the logic would be using the CDHDR and CDPOS tables if the changes are recorded in those tables.
The above tables contain any changes done to any documents..

CTBW - extraction of "Change Documents" from Classification or time-depende

Hello,
I want to extract classification-data from class 023 from our R3 701 to BW 700.
Unfortunatley I can extract via T-Code ctbw only 'active' data but i would like to extract also the "Change Documents" - mapped to batch or material-document / ~item.
Do you have any idea for a standard-solution?

change documents are not "standard" extractable... reason is probably that all change documents (irregardless of which object) are stored in 2 (or 3) big tables

Enhancing the Classification Datasources . Tcode - CTBW

Hi Guys,
we need to use customer exit for populating certaing classification field values in the Classification datasources ( tcode - CTBW).
could you please provide any document or info that whether it is possible to use the customer exit using CMOD for deriving the value for the calssification field.

I just have one more question ?? When I generate the datasource in transaction CTBW it is only generating the text datasource, for example
1CL_AMIL010
1CL_AMIL011
1CL_AMIL012 and so on, but the datasource for attributes 1CL_OMAT001 is not being genereted, and i don't know why.
I'm using 0MATERIAL_ATTR as base datasource, cat class = 01, Table MARA.
do you know why this attr datasource 1CL_OMAT001 is not being generated ? The system ask me for a password of developer user, but i don't have one.

Classification extractor (CTBW) - problems with deleted classifications

Hello all,
we have several classification objects on 0customer. Until now we always made a FULL load for this classification extractors but now we realized the following problem:
If a customer has an classification and it is deleted we don't get the deletion into BI. In our master data the customer still has his old (invalid) classification.
I made some tests with the delta extraction. The only things we get by delta is changes on the classification value or if a classification is added. What don't get the case that the classification is deleted on a special customer.
How can we solve this problem? Any ideas?

Hi Bettina,
well I think you need to do an enhancement for the datasource and add some code to check for deleted data. But I am not sure if there are change documents in cdhdr/cdpos for this type of data. If it is the case, you can get the deletions from there and append to your data package. Additionally you need to update a field in the data package with a 'D'. I believe you have a field for update mode in the data package. When the data is posted to a ods the record mode 'D' will cause the deletion of that record.

Delta issues in Variant Classification Datasource

Hi All,
I have created the datasource 1CL_OLIS001 for Sales Order variant characteristics through CTBW and linked it to 2LIS_11_VAITM.. It works fine with full or intial load. but doesnt collect deltas. Cant see any LUWs collected in RSA7 for it nor infopackage in BW Extract any deltas.
Am I missing something here or is it a know issue.
I am on ECC 6.0 and BI 7.0.

Which Datasource are you using .. ..
Check in the base table whether the new entries are there..because as you know delta only flows when there are new entries or changed entries ,some extractors can pick delta on a calender day also..so probably u might get some data if you extract tomorrow..

Delta loading of the material classification

Hello,
I use 1CL_OMAT001 datasource on order to extract the material classification from R/3 into BW.
The load works in init/delta.
If I change the characteristic value from its value A to ' ' (re-initialized) in R/3, the delta loading will not take into account the modification in BW and therefore, in BW I will always have the value firstly defined (A). But I would like to see ' ' for that characteristic.
Fortunately, when I modify the characteristic value from A to B, the delta loading will take into account the modification and there will be "B" in BW.
Did you notice the same problem ? What did you do then ?
Anybody have a solution ?

Hi,
we are using the same datasource and we planned to go for delta. but could not manage to do so. the data we are loading is in the range of approx 300000, so rather then going for delta we are doing full load daily with the deletion of previous request. when we think the data is getting huge we do a full load for a required period and the change the selection for the next.
eg: in the infopackage selection for last year we had fiscal year period set to 001.2005 to 012.2005 then once the year is over we change the selection to 001.2006 to 012.2006 and through out the year we have a max of 1 mil records so works fine with us. check this with your requirement.

Batch classification characteristics(CTBW)

I am trying to create a CL Datasource for Batch class(class type -022).I am not sure which " Basis Datasource" and which "Object Table" i should input in CTBW ??Can someone taketime to shed some light on this.

try an F4 on the table field... it gives you some options (it'll depend how batches are setup in your R/3 system... most likely you'll need table MCHA)
basic DataSource... I would assume you like to add this data to 0MATERIAL (so 0MATERIAL_ATTR)?

Classification data extraction questions

Hai All,
I have few questions regarding the classification data extraction from R/3 to BW.
Does anybody know if I can do the following(classification data sources in CTBW):
1. Extraction of Characters that permit multiple value valuations
2. Extraction of characters intended for intervals
3. I know that only FULL update is supported for classification data as of BW 2x. Does anybody know if deltas are supported in any of the new versions upto BI 7.0?
I appreciate if any body can answer these questions or refer to documentation or SAP notes.

2lis_11_vaitm custom objects delta

Hello friends,
2lis_11_vaitm has been enhanced by few Z fields.
Extract structure is enhanced using an append structure and the fields are added to the data source.
Code has been written in BADI to fill up these fields.
The fields are getting populated but any change only to these Z fields is not captured in the delta.
I have gone through several threads and articles for this topic on forums and market place
I have the following questions
1. Does table TMCEXCFS, with table name MC11VA0ITM and field status A, give only the fields which are a part of the standard extractor which is delta capable. Any change to any of these fields would trigger an automatic delta
2. if the field were appended to the communication structure instead of extract structure, then would it be delta capable or still code needs to be written using "X" and "Y" tables
3. if any of fields of the original extract structure change, when Z fields change then can we pick up the delta?
is there any other options to get it, without involving heavy coding

Hi Ed,
Below link is going to be use full to create classification of master data using Tcode-CTBW and after creating the classification of data source load the data into the DSO .
This data source is a delta capable.
One disadvantage of this data source is you can’t extract multiple values .
Before creating the data source you have to check these 2 notes:350296 and 535370.
No need of lookup just in the info set you can join 2lis_11vaitm and new DSO.

No key field found for creation of DataSource - Classification Datasource

While trying to create a clasiffication datasource based on 0PLANT_ATTR, when i assign a characteristic and push the DataSource button, i get the following message:
No key field found for creation of DataSource
Diagnosis
During generation of a classification or configuration DataSource, only those key fields for the object table (field "Obj.Tabelle") that are already present in the basis DataSource transferred to the extract structure. This is the case when none of the key fields of the object table were found in the structure of the basis DataSource.
System response
A DataSource cannot be created without key fields. The action was cancelled.
Procedure
Check whether you have selected the correct basis DataSource and object table. For more information, please see SAP Note 569849.

Hi Alberto,
plants are a special case. The key which is used for the classification
of plants (object type BETR) is not the same as the key which is used in
datasource 0PLANT_ATTR.
BETR has key LOCNR (Site). That's a customer related to a plant. The
customer number will be extracted in field LOCNR.
0PLANT_ATTR extracts the plant in its key field WERKS.
Transaction CTBW and the generic extraction program for classifications
don't know the relationship between LOCNR and WERKS. So they cannot map
them.
I do recommend a solution which would add the mapping between
LOCNR and WERKS:
1. Create please the classification datasource as intended, but use
datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR as basis datasource. It's the only
datasource of the content where LOCNR is a key field. So
0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR is used as a dummy here, to allow transaction CTBW to
create the classification datasource. It's not necessary to extract
data with datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR.
2. Extend please the extract structure of the created classification
datasource. Add please field WERKS using component type WERKS_D. Make
this field visible.
3. Fill field WERKS in the extractor user exit EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002. WERKS
can be read from table KNA1 by using the customer number extracted to
LOCNR to select on field KNA1-KUNNR.
4. Transaction CTBW_META on the BW system isn't able to append the
characteristics from the classification datasource to infosource
0PLANT, because the keys are different. So create please a new info
source with CTBW_META. This allows CTBW_META to create the info objects
for the characteristics used in the classification datasource.
5. Add please the characteristics used in the classification datasource
to infosource 0PLANT manually. You will find the info object names of
the characteristics by looking up the characteristic datasources which
are assigned to the classification datasource in transaction CTBW. From
these names you can derive the info object names:
1CL_A... -> C_A...
6. Disconnect the infosource which has been created with CTBW_META from
the classification datasource.
7. Connect please the classification datasource to infosource 0PLANT
Use following info object:
info object   field
0PLANT       WERKS
The info object names for the characteristics are explained in step 5.
8. Add an infopackage to infosource 0PLANT for the classification
datasource.
Now the extraction of classifications of sites should work.

No initial load of Customers, Material and delta load of Sales Orders.

Hi Experts,
I am facing a very troublesome issue. I am not able to setup the Middleware portion for initial and delta loads. I read a lot of documents and corrected a lot of things. finally, the connectivity is done with R/3 and CRM. Initial load of all objects is successful (as per Best PRactices guide). Customizing load is successful.
But after now I have these open issues for which I am unable to find any answers (am really exhausted!!):
- Customer_main load, it was succesful, but no BP's of R/3 are available.
- Material, it failed in SMW01, SMQ2, the errors are:
Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported
EAN xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
EAN yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
Plant xx is not assigned to a business partner
- Sales order, it shows green bdoc, but error segments says "No upload to R/3" and the order does not flow to R/3.
We had our system setup 3 years back for data transfer and Middleware. But few things changed and connectivity stopped. I did all that again now, but am not yet successful. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

The error messages in SMW01 for MAterial initial load is :
     Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported
     EAN 123456789000562 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
     EAN 900033056531434 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred
     Plant 21 is not assigned to a business partner
I have done the DNL_PLANT load successfully. Why then the plant error?
Some of the messages for BP:
Messages for business partner 1331:
No classification is assigned to business partner 1331
For another,
     Partner 00001872(469206A60E5F61C6E10000009F70045E): the following errors occurred
     City Atlanta does not exist in country US
     Time zone EST_NA does not exist
     You are not allowed to enter a tax jurisdiction code for country US
     Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, BDoc type BUPA_MAIN.
Now, the time zone EST is assigned by default in R/3. Where do I change that? I do not want to change time zones as this may have other impacts. Maybe CRM I cna change this, not for sure in R/3. City check has been deactivated in R/3 and CRM, still the error.
Till these 2 are not solved, I cannot go into the Sales order loads.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

How can I add this in my Model (DSO) ?Do I need to create any spl things for this ?
I have recieved a flat file for this requirement also for this Vendor Classification .. Actually,first time iam working on this kind of req .any one have any idea or any one worked with this kind of req ...? If so Please give me short idea , what it is and what I have to do with this clasees ?
