Classification for MIGO_GR

Hi everyone,
I am trying to change/view batch classification via a user exit when I do a goods receipt(MIGO_GR). Is there any user exit or BADI through which this can be achieved.

Different DG description in transport classification for the DG Classific.

Hello EH&S Experts,
Following Situation:
For the Dangerous Goods Management we have created our LS_UN_SUB (UN-listed substance) for example the UN 3082 with 3 "NAM-DG" Identifiers for 3 languages (DE,FR,EN) for the dangerous goods regulations (value assignment in EH&S) ADR & IMDG.
So, now we created the corresponding DG_CL_SUB (Dangerous Goods classification) for example the CL3082 also with the 3 "NAM-DG" Identifiers for 3 languages (DE,FR,EN) and add the UN3082 to the DG Regulation ADR & IMDG in the "Transport Classification" Tab.
Problem:
1. As we working mainly in DE (German language) the DG Description in the Transport Class. Tab is displayed in DE (German). So for ADR and IMDG the german description is displayed. But for IMDG regulation it doesn´t exists a german description from the legal point of view.
2. The english DG description could also be different for IMDG and ADR.
Question:
1. Is there a solution to display always the english description for IMDG, also if someone is logged in in german?
2. Is there a solution to maintain DG descriptions per regulation?

Regarding your question:

My solution would be "simple". Maintain the "english text" with the language DE (so e.g. not NAM DG DE Anilin but NAM DG DE Aniline.
Further option:
As far as I can remember the identifier "selection" process: the system will try to find first in hit list etc. the identifier corresponding to log on language and then search for a "different one) (e.g. D_HITLIST). If you mantain e.g.
NAM DG EN Aniline
and NAM DG Space Aniline
I believe the "aniline" will show up in any log on language there the system ist not able to find a "specific" one .
Regarding:
2. Is there a solution to maintain DG descriptions per regulation?
There are some options. Best option (as far as I can remember the topic) is to go on like this:
NAM DG (ADR Text) DE Text 1 => link the identifier to a "regulatory list (e.g. ADR)
NAM DG (ADNR Text) DE Text 2 => link the identifier to a "regulatory list (e.g. ADNR)
In DG filling the most specific identifier is used to create a phrase and the most specific one (per regulation) is the one having the corresponding regulatory list assigned
Furthereon: as far as i can remember DG filling: the identifier on the level of LS_UN_SUB are used. So one option could be to create one LS_UN_SUB per regulation and to maintain the DG texts there and then combine them in the DG_CL_SUB per regulation according to SAP standard process (clearly the number fo LS_UN_SUB is increasing using this option.)

One of my developer colleagues is struggling to find out : how to get classification for a given material and material type in MM?
He is looking for probable table and table fields to Select from.

Below given the flow and table details for a given class and class type.
- Table KLAH --> This contains the "Internal class no" [ for the given Class & Class type ]
- Table KSML --> This contains the " internal character numbers " [ nothing but characteristics attached to the class ] , which can be fetched with the above fetched internal class no
- Table AUSP --> This table contains the objects ( material ) attached to the internal characters of that class
- Table CABNT --> This table contains the "Description" for the internal character numbers.

How to get Port Classifications for Logical Switch via scvmm console

We are creating some automation tool based on SCVMM console scripts.
In order to create vm we need to assign port classification based on Virtual Switch and then logical switch. The problem is that I could not find any way to retrieve port classifications assigned to logical switch (Virtual Port tab in SCVMMs logical
switch properties). There is Get-SCLogicalSwitch that return just name, description and some properties. There is also Get-SCUplinkPortProfileSet which returns Uplink tab data of SCVMMs logical switch properties. But no api to retrieve port classifications
for switch. Get-SCPortClassification also doesn't return switch assignments. Any ideas how to get this data?

Tax classification for sales order before ECC

Hi expert,
We have recently upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6.0 and noticed the following
issue, please kindly advise. Thanks.
The tax classification for one of the regular customer has always been
maintained as ‘0’ (Tax Exempt).
In 4.6C, in the sales order condition tab, the system will auto
calculate and reflect the output tax amount automatically for this
regular customer.
However, in ECC6.0, with the same customer and material, the sales
order will no longer auto calculate and reflect the output tax amount
anymore.
Nevertheless, if we maintain the customer tax classification field
as ‘1’ (Liable for Taxes) before raising the sales order, or if we
amended the sales order tax classification field manually as ‘1’, then
the output tax amount will auto calculte and reflect as expected.
We would like to know why is there such differences between 4.6C and
ECC6.0. What should be the proper standard behaviour and if there is
any actions required be get the system to perform as per in 4.6C?

Hi,
I am sure you must have done some of the analysis already on these points but it does not harm to do it again:
1) Check the Customer Master and check the Tax Category of the Customer to make sure that it is maintained as 0;
2) Check the Tax Record [MWST Tax Condition Type normally] for whichever tax table you are maintaining it for exists
3) Check in the Condition Tab in Pricing Details if you are finding the assess to the Tax Records happening for the Customer and Material combination.
If you find any of these three as the smoking gun you should be good.
I do not think personally that if the issue is only with one customer that this is an upgrade issue. Even otherwise, Tax related stuff has not changed in anyway between those versions.

Classification for 0PROG_POS_ATTR (Investment management)

Hi All,
I tried to create a classification datasource with t-code CTBW for Investment Program Position (0PROG_POS_ATTR). Unfortunately this standard procedure is not supported for Investment Programs; the error message I get is:
Generating Datasources for inv. program is not supported, see sap note 74259.
Basically this note confirms that the standard procedure is not allowed in this special case and it suggests to enhance the master data manually.
Since I have to extract more than 10 classifications, for a total of 70 characteristics, it looks a bit complicated.
Have you experienced the same problem? Can anybody help me?

You can use the SAP enhancement RSAP0001 to enhance the DataSources of the SAP Business Information Warehouse. This enhancement includes the following components for transferring data into a BW with a release level as of 2.0B:
Transaction data:       exit_saplrsap_001
Attributes, texts:      exit_saplrsap_002
Hierarchies:            exit_saplrsap_004.
For transferring data into a BW 1.2B, you still use the following enhancement components for InfoSources:
Transaction data: exit_saplrsap_001
Attributes:        exit_saplrsap_002
Texts:             exit_saplrsap_003
Hierarchies:       exit_saplrsap_004.

BAPI to create tax classification for business partners

Hi all,
I'm trying to create tax classification for a business partner (situated in the tab Control) from a BAPI.
I tried to use BAPI BUTX_FRG0010_CREATE, but I always receive an error...
Does someone know how to implemnt this ? Or do I need to use another fm ?

Classification for Merchandise Category

Hi all,
I am an MM consultant but new to Retail. I am trying to set up classification for Merchandise category. I have created a characteristic profile and i assigned some characteristics in this profile (e.g ingredients, size, etc). Then i went to WG22 and assigned the characteristic profile to the merchandise category.
My issue now, is from where do i enter the values that i want for each merchandise category (i.e the ingredients, size, etc). As i have read, directly in each article you cannot. In CL20N you cannot as the class is of type 026 (internal).
Where do i do this?

HI, let me describe what i did and which are my issues
1. I have created the characteristics and assigned the possible values
2. Then i though about two options:
     a) to create a characteristic profile and assign the characteristics to it
     b) assign the characteristics in the Hierarchy directly
3. I did both and my issues are:
     a) in the 1st option how i assign values to an article? i want each article of the merchandise category to be assigned to various values.
     b) in the 2nd option, i assigned the characteristis to the hierarchy (and thus to the merchandise category) and through MM42 i assgined the values to the articles. In that case my issue is during the search of an article based on the characteristics. There i select as a class the hierarchy and then i have to select the specific merchandise category in order to find articles, otherwise no results appear. Isn't it possible to find all articles of an hierarchy with specific characteristic value?

How can mass create batch classification for many material batches? ?

Hi Experts,
In our system , there are so many material batches which have not been classified，see by
BMBC Tcode.
That means these batches has no values in the batch class. I know we can create
classification for these batches with MSC2N Tcode.
But there are so many batches which have not been classified,more then 2000.
It is not possible to create classification for every batch with with MSC2N once a time.
So how can I create batch classification for so many batches once a time?
How can I mass create batch classification for so many batches??

Hi,
Please be aware that SAP does not support the use of batch
input in the classification system. SAP recommends you use BAPI's for
example in your case BAPI BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE and BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE
would be able to help. For more information, please have a look at the
note: 943559 - Point 2 and 13. Point 13 references the note 1083986.

Update Batch Classification for a Material

Hello friends,
I'm facing the following problem : A specific BTCI wich simulates MB01 was calling another program called SAPLCTMS to update Batch classification for a Material, this program (SAPLCTMS ) seems to be not necessary after the support package Level 57 (we just installed SAP4.6C). I didn't find any note on OSS for this...
Now i'm trying to use this BAPI instead of BTCI for the Material batch classification :

Check existence of a classification for a network

I wloud like to check the existence of a gived classification for a network.
To do this, I try to fill BAPI_OBJCL_EXISTENCECHECK that wait for an objectkey.
So I think I need to retrieve that objectkey using BAPI_OBJCL_GET_KEY_OF_OBJECT.

While using the BAPI - 'BAPI_OBJCL_EXISTENCECHECK'
The object key (ObjectKey) must be transferred in internal format, before application of conversion exits. For example, a material number must be transferred with leading zeros.
Here's the sample code. Try changing you code in a similar manner and check if this works.

Insert Classification for customer master

Hi All,
In XD01 when creating customer(SOLD-TO) I have to assign classification of SOLD-TO to all the partner functions (i.e SHIP-TO,BILL-TO, PAYER). To assign classification i am using Userexit exit_sapmf02d_001 and CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS fm.
When i am using this FM i am getting a error "Updation termination of sold-to ".
Can anyone please help me out to figure out y this error is coming.
Or any other place were i can include the code to assign classification.

when inserting the classification for sold to (in tcode xd01=>extras=>classification), same classification we need to insert the partner functions also. Can u plz tell me the right place for inserting the classification for partner functions. I have tried in user exit(sapmf02d). when inserted the classification for partner functions its terminate the sold inserting classification(standard functionality). Even i am not calling any standerd functional modules .just i am checking the classification exist or not for partner functions.if does not exist then direct i am inserting the classification into table KSSK.

How do I create classifications for EE's like safety committee, fire comm..

Not related to a particular Job, Position, Org Unit, Personnel Area, Personnel Subarea, Employee Group, or Employee Subgroup, how do I create a "Classification" like Safety Committee, Fire Responders, CPR Responders, etc.? I would then want to assign EE's to this Classification. TO the Classification I would want to attach required Qualifications and manage the Qualifications with TEM so that I can plan training from managed expired qualifications or future qualifications needed if someone will be be "Classified" in the future. Is there a standard means SAP Process to do this? I have looked around and did not find anything that seemed like it would address this issue. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your help so far. I found out that we are already using Qualification Groups (QK). Our HR Dept thinks using an Object Type is a perfect solution but would prefer that we NOT use Qualification Groups so they can keep this function separate from our new classifications. So, ideally, we would like to use a different Object Type if possible. In reviewing the available Object Types (table T778O) that we are not already using, I could not find one that fits the business scenario we are trying to resolve.
Like Organizational Units ("O"), we want to be able to assign multiple Qualifications ("Q") with a Relationship of "A|031" (Requires). We would also like to assign multiple Persons ("P") with a Relationship of "B|032" (Is fullfill).
But, as mentioned, there were no T778O Object Types that seemed to fit the mold. After researching SAP Documentation, I came across documentation that noted the table is "delivered preset and should only be extended after consultation with SAP."
I created an OSS Message with SAP and I am awaiting feedback. Ideally I would like to create a "Zx" Object Type. But, I do not know if this is a problem with SAP? For example, I don't know if my custom Object Type will be overwritten with upgrades? Further, I don't know all of the related steps to properly setup a custom Object Type. I can certainly create a T778O entry. But, after doing this, the infotypes do not display in PP01. How do I get PP01 to display infotypes Object, Relationship, etc.? How do I allow the table and Relationship infotype to allow B|032 and A|031 relationships? How do I get PEPM to allow this Object Type as a selection option? I apologize for the creeping scope of the question, but, it is really the same question just asking for more detail please. Thanks so much.
