ClassNotFoundException When Adding HttpServletRequestWrapper to Filter

Question

Hi,
If I add the following code to a Filter, I get a ClassNotFoundException (Pasted log below):
          HttpServletRequestWrapper wrapper =
               new HttpServletRequestWrapper((HttpServletRequest)servletRequest)
               public String getParameter(String name)
                    return "foo";
It works fine if I replace the above code with this:
          HttpServletRequestWrapper wrapper =
               new HttpServletRequestWrapper((HttpServletRequest)servletRequest);
Any ideas? The JDK version is 1.6.0_04.

Thank you for your responses. Konstantin on Tomcat Users List pointed out the issue to me as well. As you inferred, the issue ended up being that I was manually copying the compiled filter to the webapp, however as soon as I introduced the anonymous class (Or inner class), the compiler creates additional class files. For anonymous classes it's something like OuterClassName.$1.class and for inner classes it's something like OuterClassName.InnerClassName.class. However I was only copying over OuterClassName.class, and the jvm could not find the $ class.
I should have read the trace a little better. Thanks again for your pointers. Next time I see it I'll have a much clearer idea :-)
