Classpath entries in the "Remote Start"

Hi, could anyone provide an example about setting claspath entries in the "Remote Start" label on Windows?
Could this be something like this: %Env_Var1%;%Env_Var2%;C:\Program Files\Dir1\file1.jar;C:\Program Files\Dir2\file2.jar
I'm getting classpath errors at the managed server start time.
Regards

Classpath entries for a mainfest file should be other jar file names.
Put them in the same or a sub directory as your main jar.

  • Remote Start classpath

              Hi,
              I have installed an admin server, a managed server and a node manager on a single
              machine. (btw, I'm using WLS7 sp2)
              With the default config, the managed server starts and stops successfully from
              the console. However, I need to specify a classpath for this server to locate
              my log4j configuration file. I've used the "Class Path" field of the "Remote Start"
              tab of my managed server. As soon as a classpath is specified, the managed server
              doesn't start anymore, and I get the following log :
              29 juil. 03 12:22:01 CEST> <Info> <NodeManager@mymachine:5555> <Starting Server
              mydomain::managedserver ...>
              java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
              Exception in thread "main"
              <29 juil. 03 12:22:02 CEST> <Info> <NodeManager@mymachine:5555> <Server mydomain::managedserver
              started, process id = 72 040>
              I've tried different formats for my classpath (c:\mydir, c:/mydir ...), but I
              always get the same error.
              Any clue?

              The classpath from the console actually overrides the default classpath (I thought
              it was just appended).
              Adding weblogic.jar solved the problem.

  • (2) Vehicles - But want to have only ONE FOB for keyless entry and remote start

    I have the following 2 vehicles:
    2003 Dodge Durango RT with automatic transmission
    2006 Volvo V70R with 6-Speed manual transmission
    I am looking to purchase a keyless entry / remote start on BOTH vehicles but use only (1) FOB to control both as I will only be using either vehicle at a time. If I need to use both, I will use 2 FOBs. Is there any current breand or system that can do this, like have switch and can be programmed for more than one vehicles ??? Thank you for any info and God Bless !!!

    VBVAGUY,
    Best Buy has 2 brands that can control 2 cars. Viper and Compustar. You said you would like keyless and remotes start. Are these the only features you are looking for? Security? The system below is a Viper 1-way with around 2000 foot range that offers 2 car mode. They also have a 1 mile range and also a 2-way system. This is a nice feature if you don't have visibility to the vehicle, the remote will tell you if the car started.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/viper-1-way-remote-start-system/6891137.p?id=1218810613502&skuId=6891137
    With any of these system you are also going to need some additional parts and labor. Also because the Volvo has a manual transmission there is a certain sequence you must do every time you park the vehicle. If this is not done the remote start will not work. Doesn't effect the keyless entry.
    Stop in a local Best Buy and speak to the AutoTech. They can educate you on the different model, feature and the manual transmission sequence.

  • Viper Remote Start woes

    I had a 5706v installed about a year ago in my Excursion.  About a month ago it quit locking the doors but doing everything else.   Apparently the BB that installed in no longer has qualified techs so I now have to drive about another 30 mins to a different store.  They mentioned they were incredibly busy and the store that did the work originally was 'questionable' (their words, not mine).
    So I set an appointment a week out and they resolve the locking issue. However, now the remote start doesn't work at all and just gives me an error.      At somepoint it is not only inconvienent but it's costing me money to drive my truck out there and leave it for hours and find a ride home and back.
    What is the policy, is there X tries BB has before giving up?  If a technician is unable to perform the work properly, can it be outsouced to a installer that can do the work?

    Remote starts are key for cold winters, and hot summer days, but to be without keyless entry also, well that is definately inconvinent!  The Best Buy that did the original installation, may not have the techs that are qualified to look at the remote start to properly diagnose the problem, but the other "busy" Best Buy should be able to assist you in this matter.  To be qualified troubleshoot isn't necessarily a qualification, it is more of a necessity to do this job.  I personally haven't had a shop that wasn't qualified to work on a troubleshoot especially for a remote start, but im sure there are some out there, and unfortunately you found it.  With that said, I am terribly sorry that you will have to make the trip up to that other busy store to get this worked on.  Have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote to eliminate a battery issue.  Just odd that the remote start worked fine for a year and then went out.  Batteries are usually the culprit, and alot of times cause intermittent issues with the functionality of the remote start or keyless entry.
    If you have the viper 5706 your lcd screen will indicate that you are running low on battery if you look at your screen, but there is also a failsafe built in that will send a second "chirp" through your systems siren.  so you will lock the car, hear your first chirp, shortly after there will be another chirp that will occur, and send a message to your remote.  This indicates that the battery is low and needs to be charged with the supplied micro usb cable that came with the unit.
    Part of our lifetime warranty means you can take this to any Best Buy in the country to have to work performed. The fact that the original shop doesn't have anyone qualified, is unfortunate, and the trip that you have to make because of this is also ashame.  I do apologize that you are having these problems, but if you hop on the schedule at the other store, im sure they will be able to assist you and get your remote start and keyless working again.  The good thing about remote starts is that if you are going to have a serious problem outside replacing an antenna, antenna cable, or batteries, there would be immediate malfunctions with the system.  Should be something small, is what im trying to tell you, but again without diagnosing it properly who knows?!
    Again, i apologize for the troubles that this has caused, and if you have any follow up questions please don't hesitate to ask.  Thanks for posting with the community, and also thank you for your time and patience.

  • Remote Start - price of extra parts?

    I drive a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, and I would love to buy the remote start with basic installation. However, I don't know if I would have to get extra parts installed. Has anyone had the remote start put into a Cavalier?
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    you will need additional parts for any remote start option. it will cost you about $130 for parts on the cavalier too add remote start, and if you have a pop trunk option on your car it will cost an additional $30 and $10 for parts. you can choose from any remote start models from basic R/S to w/key less and security.  i think prices range from $140 just R/S all the way up to $400 R/S keyless entry and security.

  • Classpath entry in MANIFEST.MF file

    Hi All,
    When I deploy my application I get an error saying classpath entry in the MANIFEST.MF file is not correct.
    The .ear file I am using has lot of .jar files, it is complaining about 1 or 2 jars at at time when I try to deploy the application.  After I correct these 1 or 2 jars it complains about some other jar.
    The error is something like .... .
    Cannot deploy application .... Reason: classpath entry in ..../xxx.jar is specified in
    .... xxx.jar/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF  cannot be resolved.
    The question is someone else deployed .ear file with the same .jar and it was ok.
    Is there an option that I can set to ignore the classpath information in MANIFEST.MF file.
    thanks
    S

    Hi All,
    I am deploying an ear file on Netweaver version 7.1.
    Consider the following EAR file structure:
    The main folder, say EAR contains two folders   "common"  and "folder1"
    "common" contains   someutil.jar and
    " folder1 "   contains abc.jar and  xyz.jar
    Given the above structure, the Manifest file in abc.jar contains Class-path entry
    common/someutil.jar xyz.jar
    When deploying the ear file, I get error saying the Class-path entry common/someutil.jar specified in folder1/abc.jar cannot be resolved.
    I changed the class-path to be ../common/someutil.jar and I get the error saying Class-path entry ../common/someutil.jar specified in folder1/abc.jar cannot be resolved
    The class-path entry for xyz.jar is resolved without any issues.
    Kindly let me know the mistake I am making or what the real issue is.

  • Where is the Remote App option (to pair devices) in iTunes on Windows 8?

    I know it used to be in the sidebar, and view options. Now with the sidebar removed, and it being gone from my options list, I'm at a loss of where to look. I just need to find the options page where you input the code to pair my App with my Computer.

    When you click Add an iTunes Library in the Remote app on your device iTunes should detect the device like this:
    Click the entry with the remote app icon and type in the paring code on the screen that appears.

  • Viper remote start on 2014 Jeep JK

    Will any of these two viper remote starts work with a 2014 automatic Jeep wrangler unlimited with manual doors and no alarm?Will I be able to install a viper invisibeam after the remote start is installed?
       1. Viper 4115V1D Remote Start System with Interface Module and Geek Squad® Installation
    SKU: 9999221100050000
    2Viper - Remote Start System
    Model: 4115V1B
    SKU: 1625747
    thanks.

    yes, as far as wranglers go that are automatic you will be able to have this installed in your vehicle,  you will need a few other parts with that purchase.  that kit that you are going to purchase, will have the bypass module that you will need to simulate a chip in the key, and do some other features if it is able to.  that kit will also come with the installation of the module (the dball2) and also the basic installation of the remote starter.  again this is just a basic remote start with 1500ft of range, and 1 remote.  a hood pin will also be necessary, but is only 9.99.  The last thing is that you will need to purchase a 10AWG amp kit also since there isn't a strong enough power source in your vehicle, so we will have to grab power from the battery to power the brain of the remote start. you will also need a 12.99 relay for your vehicle.
     this one's grand total for the 4115v1d is $312.96 before tax.
    the second remote starter does not come with the bypass module or the installation of the bypass module, so it will be a little more expensive.  it will still need the hood pin and the 34.99 10AWG amp kit, and the 12.99 relay.  with a grand total of 342.94.  personally if i were in your shoes i would just go with the first one because it has everything you need and is the exact same product but without the bypass module included and installation of that module.  also contact your local bby to get an exact quote, i know some shops don't use hood pins that we carry and use the one out of the box, so contact them and get a grand total.  thanks for asking the question and sorry it took so long to get back to you.  best of luck!

    Hi sawwas,
    I apologize for the delay in responding. If you haven't already gotten your answer to the cost for the remote start parts and install I would recommend that you stop at your nearby Best Buy Install Bay and talk to the techs. They will be able to give you a definitive answer on cost. Thank you,

  • BBY - Remote Start - Toyota Highlander question

    I'm interested in having a remote start installed on my 2013 Toyota Highlander Limited.
    It does have the SMARTKEY.  All I need is something that will start it (does not need to be two way).  Can someone on here give me a estimate on what it would cost to make this happen?
    Thanks for your help in advance!!

    iowaman great question! being a former iowan myself i couldn't be happy to help you out more because of all the bogus weather that you have been having back there! it has been cooooooold!  after doing some research i have found that it isn't as sensitive as touching a door handle, but it will shut down when the door is opened.  so no when someone touches the door handle it will still stay on, but once the door is opened then it will shut down and you just start the car like normal, get in push the button.  but your car will be nice and toasty.  so basically by the time that you sit down it would be like you always do when starting your car, but the car will already be warm is the only difference.  also all doors have to be closed for the remote start to take over.  I hope this helps clarify your situation! best of luck and if you would let me know the city you are in i could give some great installers that i would recommend to work on even my car! you have a great batch to choose from out there!

  • Viper Remote Start Issues 2012 Chrysler 300

    I had a Viper remote start installed in my 2012 Chrysler 300.  The price and installation went great.  Scott at the Best Buy in Novi, MI is great.  My issue is that yesterday (12/12/14) when you start the car with or without the remote start there is a thumping noise inside the dash towards the passenger side. It sounds like something is spinning and thumping on something.  It will do this for 45-60 seconds then stop.
    The remote start still works and it does not affect anything else. I'm going to call the store this week but I wanted to see if this has come up before.
    Thanks!

    weird, yeah unfortunately without seeing the vehicle and running through some troubleshooting, there is an infinite number of possibilities that could be wrong.  If it is doing that only on remote start i would say that there is a problem, but since it is doing it with the key also, it is more than likely nothing with the remote start or the installation.  You can definately take it into the local bby for further diagnosis, but once the tech sees that it isn't anything with the remote start then he will send you to a dealership or someone who can fix that issue.  Sorry i couldn't be more help, but bring it back into the shop for a diagnosis, and if it out of our hands then the tech will send you off to another person to get it fixed.  best of luck!

  • Remote start petstore using NodeManager

    Just add the property (-Dcloudscape....) as an extra argument to the jvm
              startup parameters in the remote start tab of the remote server. That should
              work as hte nodemanager just uses what settings are there in hte remote
              start to create a server instance.

  • How do I start Freevo using a button on the remote?

    Hi!
    I've set up freevo on my computer and now I'd like to be able to launch freevo using my remote (I don't like to move out of my couch ).
    I've google'd and wiki'd a lot, but I'm having trouble doing this. I came over this entry in the OS dir mail archive:
    Subject: Re: Shutdown freevo with a lirc command
    stephan wezel wrote:
    Hi,
    Hi.
    can I shutdown freevo through one lirc event/command without selecting the
    shutdown menu point ?
    Yes!
    and if how ??
    Well, I am not sure if you can bind a Freevo event to shutdown but the way I do it is with irexec. Irexec is a command that comes with lirc that you can
    have it run a command per button press based on configuration. In my /etc/init.d/freevo system start/stop script I have:
    case "$1" in
    start)
    if [ "`ps -ef | grep irexec | grep -v grep`" = '' ]
    then
    /usr/local/bin/irexec -d /etc/freevo/irexec.conf
    fi
    Ok, so that't not the cleanest but upon startup it looks for a running irexec process and runs it if none is found. In /etc/freevo/irexec.conf I have:
    begin
    remote = hauppauge_pvr
    button = Power
    prog = irexec
    repeat = 0
    config = /etc/freevo/onoff_switch
    end
    So, every time that I press the power button the onoff_switch gets executed. That is a very messy shell script that decides if Freevo is running or not then starts or stops it.
    The contents of that file are:
    #!/bin/bash
    TEST=`ps -ef | grep freevo | grep -v grep | grep -v irexec | grep -v onoff | grep -v "less " | grep -v "vi " | grep -v "cron" | grep -v "tail " | grep -v recordserver
    | grep -v bitch | grep -v webserver | grep -v tv_grab`
    if [ "$TEST" = "" ]
    then
    echo Freevo is off, starting.
    /etc/init.d/freevo start
    else
    echo Freevo is on, stopping.
    /opt/freevo/freevo stop
    fi
    Ok, the TEST line is horrible I know. I made that before adding pid file support to Freevo and need to fix it. Actually, perhaps I will add a 'switch' option to
    my /etc/init.d/freevo and commit it to CVS.
    Would others find this useful? I can use the power button on my remote to startup and shutdown Freevo with no issues.
    -Rob
    Since I'm noobish still I really don't know what to do with this script. Am I supposed to make a sh-file with the first part of the code and then autostart the file on startup?

    Put a single frame sequence structure around your stop button and then wire from the error cluster going into the error handler to the edge of the sequence structure. Now your code will stop at the end of the current iteration. To see why this works, watch you code execute with execution highlighting turned on and review the section of the manual talking about "Dataflow".

  • Not able to start the remote server - class not found exception

    All,
    I am quite new to RMI programming, although i am an experienced java programmer. I am facing a problem in starting the remote server program which i wrote for RMI. I am getting class not found exception for "stub" class eventhough the class is in the classpath.

    Following are my classes:
    MyRemoteInterface.java
    import java.rmi.Remote;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    public interface MyRemoteInterface extends Remote {
    public String[] getNames() throws RemoteException;
    public class MyServerImplementation extends UnicastRemoteObject implements
    MyRemoteInterface {
    public MyServerImplementation()throws RemoteException{
    super();
    public String[] getNames() throws RemoteException{
    return new String[]{"Name1","Name2","Name3","Name4"};
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    try {
    // Create an object of the HelloWorldServer class.
    MyRemoteInterface obj = new MyServerImplementation();
    // Bind this object instance to the name "HelloServer".
    Naming.rebind("rmi://localhost:1985/GetNames", obj);
    System.out.println("GetNames bound in registry");
    catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println("GetNames error: " + e.getMessage());
    e.printStackTrace();
    public class MyRMIClient {
    *@param args*

    try {
    MyRemoteInterface remObj = (MyRemoteInterface) Naming.lookup("rmi://localhost:1985/GetNames");
    System.out.println("Names are "+remObj.getNames());
    catch(Exception e) {
    System.out.println("Problem encountered accessing remote object "+e);
    }

    That's a remote exception coming from the registry. You need to learn to recognize remote exceptions and their source, it's a mjaor source of confusion in RMI.
    In this case it's the registry that can't find the stub class.
    The stub class needs to be in the CLASSPATH of (i) the Registry and (ii) the client as well. Ditto the remote interface; ditto any application classes it refers to, and so on until closure.
    The easiest way to achieve (i) is to start it in the server's JVM, with LocateRegistry.createRegistry().

  • Keyless Entry/Remote Start for 2012 Highlander

    I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander wtih JBL audio, navigation, and keyless ignition.  I would like to add remote start and be able to use the new fob for keyless entry, lock/unlock, and open/close the rear hatch.  Is that possible without having to carry the OEM fob too?

    well you have a couple of different options for sure.  if you are looking at just getting a basic remote start/keyless entry, then you will not have to carry around your other key fob with it, because our remote start key fob will be able to do all the features your old one will, with lock, unlock, remote start, and trunk hatch pop.  now the thing that i would be a little iffy about hooking up for you is the trunk release.  does your back hatch open up all the way and close all the way when pressed again? the reason why i ask that is because alot of the back hatches on toyotas just pop that back glass and if you were to accidently hit that button and you cannot tell that it is open (like most toyotas with teh back hatch glass) then you are leaving your vehicle not only not secured but also opens yourself up to all the elements that your climate will bring in the place you live. i usually only will hook those up if the customer is really really wanting that, but i always let them know about that risk, but if your hatch opens and closes and you can physically see that it is open or closed then by all means hook it up!
    so below you will have a break down of the different remote start systems, i wish i was able to give it in a little better of a format, but this is the best that i can do!
    Materials charge: $5.00
    Viper 4105VB:     $199.99
    hood tilt switch:    $ 9.99
    Relay:                  $12.99
    FLCAN/DBALL:   $99.99
    Module install:     $39.99
    Trunk release:     $39.99
    TOTAL:               $407.94 BEFORE TAX
    what this sytem above will offer you is a remote start keyless entry with trunk release.  the range will be 1500 feet, with a 1 way communication.  when you click the button you will have to see your vehicle and look to see if the parking lights are running, if they are on then you will know that it is running.  the hood tilt switch is a safety for mechanics, and yourself if you are ever working under the hood so that no one can start the car while you are working, or if you disconnect the battery, it will not try to start upon re connecting the battery.  the additional relay is for your vehicle since it has 2 starter wires, and our remote start only has 1 output.  the FLCAN/DBALL will simulate the chip in your key so that it will allow the vehicle to start remotely,expensive i know   but necessary.  the module installation is for the installation of the FLCAN/DBALL, and the trunk release labor is for, well trunk release haha!
    you do have other options but this is the first one that will get you everything that you are looking for.  if you want a little bit more range, and 2 way communication add on $100 dollars making $507.94 for 1 mile range, and 2 way communication! with the 2 way you are able to hear a confirmation on your keyfob letting you know through beeps and a melody that it is locked, unlocked, or remote started, or if you hit the trunk release button.  at the end of your installation you will get a demonstration of how to use your remote start better than we do.  again if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! hope this helps you out a little!
