Claws-mail 3.4.0 problem (not libetpan related).

After the upgrade of claws-mail does not start anymore.
It shows a brief white flash and it stops. The process seems running and the --debug log quite normal.
I use a x86_64 archlinux.
Now I try to downgrade.
Any idea?

Thanks for the answers so far. Thank You, leonieDF, your anwer helped me to see it clear what's about Aperture and Portrait Professional. I have to wait for an update for PP. And the same is to you, William
Actually I help myself by using PP as an external editor in Aperture. After using PP I have to import the edited Pic back to Aperture. I's not very funny but there is no other way at the moment.
But I don't understand why the synchro with Facebook does not work for me. Has anyone the same problems with Aperture and Facebook? Details: uploading to FB is working fine - but Aperture has got problems when I try to synchronize older FB gallerys of my Account.

  • 10.4.7 mail/exchange problem (not proxy related like everyone else)

Hi, I have had a problem related to mail and my exchange server since upgrading to 10.4.7, and it is not the socks proxy problem others are having...
    The setup:
I use Mail to access my .mac, one POP, and one Exchange server, and have a number of rules that take 100% of my messages from all three servers and distribute them to various mailboxes local to my mac.
    What works:
Everything. I can send/receive mail, connect to all servers, etc. I have no problems in this regard.
    What doesn't work:
If my "Inbox" mailbox in Mail is NOT the active mailbox (meaning my focus is on some other mailbox/folder), every few minutes my dock icon gets the red "1" new message icon, and the inbox shows the "1" in the circle next to it, but when I click on the Inbox both notifications disappear, and there is no new message. The icon does not bounce, either. When I have the Inbox opened, the new message is over the exchange folder of the inbox, so I know it is somehow related to exchange. This behavior started immediately following the 10.4.7 upgrade.
If my Inbox is the active mailbox, I never get this new mail notification.
    Other things of note:
I have a blackberry that is connected to the same exchange server and is not experiencing any problems. The blackberry is not set to reconcile, so it just acts as a client and does't perform any server ops. No server changes were made, and my client configuration has remained the same for months.
Seems like a 10.4.7 bug to me, but I figured I would try this out first. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    -Matt
    17" MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2GB RAM

Matthew. In my Exchange account on Mail.app I have the same occurrence with two folders. 1) In Publicfolders/CompanyName Contacts I always have a message showing - because Exchange recognizes the folder as a mail folder, but cannot parse the contents (The sole contact on the server) as an email. When I open the folder the notification disappears. Close the folder and it reappears. 2) In Inbox when the Exchange server registers a System Administrator - Undeliverable Message response. My Inbox tells me the email is there, but for some reason Mail.app cannot display these messages. Close the folder and it reappears. Sometimes!
I cannot fix the contacts notification and have learned to live with it, with the Inbox, I log onto the Exchange server through OWA and delete the message off the server. Problem disappears. Chances are there may be an email on your server that mail.app knows is there, but cannot - for whatever reason - display.
Does your Blackberry show a message that Mail.app doesn't?

  • Urgent: Customized Routine Problem: Not updating related databse tables.

    Hi Gurus,
We made some changes in customized routine of pricing condition type.
    Requirement :
"A" condition type which is appearing in pricing of sales order which we want to be split into Billing document i.e.in  Invoice. The amount should split as per the invoiced quantity,. Earlier it was redeterminig from condition master"
    Logic in routine:
"we are checking respective sales order for Invoice. From Sales order value we are finding out document condition number  in VBAK table. then in KONV table for respective value we are checking "A" condition type is available or not.
If it is available we are just copying the value and depending upon the Invoiced qty, We are passing to the same condition type.
    Problem:
Value is appearing in Invoice document but it is not updating the related database tables e.g. KONV for(Invoice document condition No.)

  • Boot problems, not software related (dual 1.25ghz MDD)

Ok, I have a dual 1.25 ghz MDD w/2GB of ram, airport- everything that could get thrown on it OEM.
I bought it about 3 months ago, used, and had problems with it not booting. I took it into a local apple shop twice, the 2nd time they did a fresh install of Tiger (10.4) and sent it home with me hoping that fixed the problem.
Now, I can use the computer for anywhere from 5 minutes after boot, to several hours after boot- and it will work ok. However, no matter what, after a while- the clock will stop working and the computer would freeze shortly after.
The shop tested the computer with: The Apple hardware test CD, norton, techtool, diskwarrior- all did not find any hardware problems. The OS has been reinstalled several times with 10.4 retail CDs.
In going around online, I found people with similar problems which ended up being a bad processor module. In fact every person I could find on varrious boards who had this happen, had it happen to their dual 1.25ghz model specifically (not the dual 1ghz or dual 867, etc).
Is this a design flaw or production flaw with the processors? I can't afford to put any more money into this machine, which is now a $1,500 (1,700 if i count the shop fees) paper wieght. I can not use something that randomly crashes this often. Does anyone know where I can get replacement processor modules?
The shop I bought it from has ignored me since the week I got the machine, and their 90 day warrety ran out about 2 weeks ago (go figure). so I am effectively in a hard spot right now. Does Apple have any policey reguarding how their retailers conduct themselves?

Ok, here are my responses to this thread:
    1) Already tried the ram route, I have 5sticks of 512mb, all mac/apple ram, tried each stick in there by its self in case maybe more than one stick was bad. Again, no solution there, the shop that did the recent attempt at the computer did bench test the ram and found no problems- I think ram can be ruled out.
    2) Tried taking out everything non-OEM/stock on the computer- airport card, etc- again, this made no difference.
    3) The OS was put on the 2nd time after the Nortons et al were used, again- this is not a software problem. No kernel panics, etc. No processes are causing the crash, and it makes no difference if I am in OS9.2, OS 10.2, 10.3 or 10.4 (I own retail cds/disks of every major mac OS release sice sys2).
    4) Powersupply is good and working perfectly
    5) So far its looking like the processor module and/or logic board is in deed bad, since everything else has been ruled out.
The shop that I bought it from is still by and large ignoring me, what would be the procedure to report them? It sounds to me like they knew the unit was bad, hence why they blew me off until their 90 day warrenty expired.

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try the following:
*Restart the operating system in '''[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe_mode safe mode with Networking]'''. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode Windows 8], [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 Windows 7], [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-vista Windows Vista], [http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true" Windows XP], [http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564 OSX]
; If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.

    Hello,
I'll try to explain my problem (not that you did not understand, but my explanations may be long and difficult).
I'm Lion 10.7.3 on iMac and I use Mail as my mail manager.
My ISP (access , mails) is "VOO".
At mail I am often "over quota" because the server VOO grants only 40M. I would like to address this problem. I contacted VOO but they tell me not to know and do not appear to increase capacity at the moment.
    My idea was:
    - All messages received at the server VOO would be automatically transferred to another address (eg ................. @me.com, my address icloud) whose capacity is much greater.
    - But the problem is that nothing is planned at the server level VOO to perform this maneuver!
    - Therefore, I turn to you to ask yourself the question, one of you has it you an idea, a suggestion, a solution?
    Any suggestion is welcome.
Thank you in advance for taking the trouble to read and possibly to follow up my request.
How do I ask to go and read icloud (permanently) my mail to another address, that of my server?
    Philippe (philippe.thiriet @ me.com)

Thank you for your reply and the clarification it brings me.
Voo is imap of course and does not provide the possibility of forwarder mails to another address.
Since I use MAIL and I receive messages without any problems sent to me on my address icloud (............... @me.com) I think to ask all in my address book to send me on my address on icloud. Is it a good idea?
Could you tell me how much space I have in icloud? 40M is the highest in VOO.
Thank you for your help and for the time you devote to my problem.
    Philippe

Thanks ewigkeit for bringing up Mailnag into the conversation
Can it move emails to folders based on filtering rules? To not lose this feature I consider critical, I was thinking if this scenario could be possible:
Mailnag monitors the inbox folders of two IMAP accounts > When new email arrives it executes the command claws-mail --receive name-of-account > Claws Mail do all its stuff, including filters, pre and post processing and the like.
If it's not possible in Mailnag execute different commands for each account, we could go with claws-mail --receive-all. In fact, Claws is apparently ignoring the name passed as argument and fetches email for each and every account. Maybe because of a problem parsing names like [email protected] I'm not sure...

  • ClamAV fails to scan for viruses in emails [CLAWS MAIL]

I've recently switched from Thunderbird to Claws Mail and ran into one small, but annoying, problem.
I want to use ClamAV + the clamav extension for claws mail to scan for viruses, however it does seem to have permission problems.
clamd is running, user and group clamav all have the relevant permissions as far as I can tell, however upon scanning my mail, I always end up with the following error:
    Scanning error:
/home/username/.claws-mail/mimetmp/0000000e.mimetmp: lstat() failed: Permission denied. ERROR
    Here's my clamd.conf:

  • Claws-Mail - Importing Thunderbird Address Book

I am trying to import my Thunderbird address book into claws-mail, using the csv2addressbook.pl script provided by claws mail. However, the script fails with the error message:

I have not tried this yet because I might have an overlap of contact information from thunderbird with that that is in adress book. Will it mix them up?

    Hi
I am guessing you are using a OS running with a non English language setting.
Then I know what is the problem. Set your system language to English. Throw out Server.app. After some seconds the server will realize it is not a server anymor. Calm... all your mail folders and web sites are secure.
Reinstall your system from recovery partition restart+alt choose recovery HD.
When done... download and lauch Server.app again (Don't change your systems languages settings, it must be set to English, German, French or Japanese otherwise everything is a f-n ****.
No... things should be better. Then, if you end up like me, the system will have made somwhat a mess of the settings files for the mail service.
The main.cf file controling your mail settings exists in two places, apparently ?!?! both are used but open them in a editor and change all hash: and paths to point to
    /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/....
    instead of
    /etc/postfix/...
It should get you on the way. My Wiki still can't read its setting file but I haven't given it any attention yet.

  • [solved] claws-mail pop hanging on certain messages

    Hi!
Anyone noticed something like this? Not entirely sure what's happening yet and what to do...
claws-mail seems to hang when trying to retrieve certain messages via pop3(ssl). If I remove a certain mail from the /cur folder on the server, all the other messages get pop'ed just fine (I'm not sure, if the mail that needs to be deleted is the same as the one where claws-mail hangs!). Thunderbird manages to "pop" all messages. I haven't been able to figure out, what kind of messages make claws-mail hang. Seems not to be content related though (I've have lots of identical ones, only a few trigger the bug) - and it's about one in 10 messages that cause the problem. Might be something with missing uidl's caused by the server spam filter - I could find the "buggy one" that made clawsmail hang in the filesize cache on the server, but not in the /cur directory.  But I might have messed that up...
Well, I'm stuck & my head hurts. Maybe more investigating tomorrow... -.-"

Had the same problem. POP3 with SSL hangs on receive. Went down to 3.7.5, no avail. I just read here (http://claws-mail.org/pipermail/users/2 … 04032.html) about gnutls and downgraded to cached 2.10.4-1 now it seems to work.

  • Claws mail with another program to fetch email

Hi, I'm an Arch Linux user since a few weeks ago So, excuse me if I'm posting this question in the wrong place.
So far so good, but today I've installed Claws mail and noticed that it lacks support for basic IMAP notification, i.e. push email. Fiddling with the options I've found that Claws can delegate the email fetching to another application and be a mere frontend.
So, would it be possible to install a minimal email client (ideally with no GUI at all) with full IMAP support that cooperates with Claws? I know, I could even install Evolution or Thunderbird, but I'm trying the non obvious way
    Many thanks!
