Clean Seeburger Message Monitor

Hi all,
I have a lot of old message in Seeburger Message monitor. For instance many "Error on send, will be retried" that have been there since 2012. Can I clean this log?

Hi,
Seeburger Workbench is an additional layer to monitor message transmission using AS2.
This can be accessed at:
http://server:port/seeburger/index.html
Scenario: From partner ->XI->R/3
In this case, message has to be checked at these levels:
Seeburger Monitor->RWB Message Monitor->SXI_MONITOR->R/3
Scenario: R/3 ->XI->To partner
In this case, message has to be checked at these levels:
R/3 -> SXI_MONITOR -> RWB Message Monitor -> Seeburger Monitor
Hence,in order to have a successful message transmission,a message has to be successful at all these levels.
Kindly let me know if this is fine.
Thanks.
Regards,
Shweta

  • Error in Seeburger Message Monitoring

    Hi ,
I m using Seeburger as Sender R/3 System.and the receiver is Xi.as an idoc file.
I m getting error in seeburger message monitoring with status as "Could not send ansynchrone MDN to partner - url not set!". can anybody tell me whats the reason behind it,where it went wrong.

Really didn't understand your scenario. That sentence makes no sense:
"I m using Seeburger as Sender R/3 System.and the receiver is Xi.as an idoc file."
But what I understand from the error message you have provided...................
if you are using Seeburger AS2 adapter as Receiver Comm Channel..........then there is definitely some cofig error is settings for MDN acknowledgement.
    Under Parameters Tab:
You must have set the following parameter
    MDN Mode = "ASYNC"
And has not provided the following parameter just below it :
    Receipt Delivery Address
This parameter should have value: the URL of your own AS2
server where the asynchronous MDNs are
    to be delivered.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • Resend Message from Seeburger message monitoring

    Hi friends,
I want to know that is there any possiblity of resending the message from Seeburger message monitoring tool.
One of the messages failed due to a problem in sender ID.
I want to resend this message. is it possible ?
Note: Message send out successfully from communcation channel to AS2 adapter.
    Thanks
    Sunil.

    Hi Sunil,
Please let me know what error you can see in Seeburger Workbench.
In My view you can see the below type of error with State u201CError on send, will be retriedu201D
If Any Message failed in AS2 Adapter may be due to any reason
    1. Wrong Sender/ Receiver ID
    2. Wrong URL
    3. Firewall rules are not in place
    4. Partner Production site is down and you are unable to connect to him
Messages with above errors will appear with Success Flag in SXMB_MONI. But they will be caught by Seeburger Adapter and will be in the Error Status in SEEBURGER WORK BENCH
The only way to find/restart those messages is go to Runtime Work Bench Messages Monitoring --> Messages form Component (Adapter Engine) ---> System Error Status.
Any Message which failed in Seeburger Level can be seen only in Runtime Workbench.

    Rama.

  • Seeburger recovery monitor

    Hello!
What does the recovery monitor check? I know that a message will stop in recoery monitor if a sender is not set up in the splitter . But what could be other reasons for something to stop in the recovery monitor? Does it check edi syntax?

    hi ,
check the below links for recovery monitor.

  • Seeburger Workbench access - restrict users to Message Monitor only

    Hi All
Does anyone know if it's possible to restrict users to Message Monitor only access in the Seeburger Workbench?

    Hi Andy,
if by "restrict" you mean if you can change the links available in the workbench, then sadly no - this is currently not possible. If you're ok with getting a HTTP Forbidden when clicking on other links than the Message Monitor, then yes - this can be configured within the SAP NetWeaver Administrator -> Identity Management. Check for example to documentation of the Message Monitor
    Extracted from there:
Log on to the NetWeaver Administrator (NWA).
Open Operation Management | Users and Access | Identity Managemet (UME).
Create a role and assign the manage action for com.seeburger.xi.frontend.messageidmonitor to that role.
Now you can assign the newly created role to any user you want to grant access to the SEEBURGER Message ID Monitor.
This is for explicitly granting some user the access to the Message Monitor. The manage action is per default set to "Everyone". You need to remove Everyone on the corresponding frontends (search for actions with name com.seeburger.xi.frontend*)
    Hope that helps

  • Message Monitor List Empty

    Hello All,
    Working on MII12.1.6 Build 96, NW7.1 SP03
With my user name, I'm logging to MII on 2 different workstations, at the same time.
1st one is showing the messages received on the defined listeners in the Message Monitor.
2nd one showing "No data was found in result" ..
On the two stations we have the same browser versions, same JRE level, same everything (standard clean setup).
Anybody seen this happening before? What are your suggestions for the steps I should take to display the messages received by MII in the Message Monitor on both workstations using the default search pattern (i.e. all messages on all listeners, all types of message statuses)?
    many thanks,
    paul.

    Hi Paul,
we have experienced something similar (empty Message Monitor list). It was due to different language settings in the NetWeaver UME user setting and the browser. Maybe you check if the language settings of the workstations and are different.

  • Seeburger adapter monitoring

We are running Seeburger AS2 adapter with XI3.0.
All inbound messages that the adapter can handle are passed to XI and we have access to those from XI message monitoring.
From there we have alerting setup.
Whenever an external party presents a message with a bad certificate the AS2 adapter refuses the message.
We can see trace of that in the adapter monitor. But there is no message in error passed to XI. So nothing we could get in message monitoring.
We saw we have a logfile containing those errors on the server. We could setup a logfile monitor on this file and get errors in CCMS. And from there, we could trigger alerts. But that does not look very elegant.
Is there a best way to get Seeburger adapter error generating alerts ?

    Hi,
If the check is happening in the Adapter then the Alerts needs to be raised by Adapter framework.
So you have to set up Alert rule for the Adapter framework.
The message goes to message montioring only if the adapter sends the date to the Adapter engine and then you can see the message in the message monitoring.
If the rejection is at AF levelt hen you need to check in the Communication Channel if you are getting the Error?

  • Trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring - Detail Message - Tab "Audit log"

    Hi,
My flow is: File -> PI -> Transformed File with seeburger module. Everything is good except the trace level in RWB.
Exactly, in our PI production, under RWB -> Message Monitoring, when I select a message (e.g PI -> Outside) and see its Detail, under tab "Audit Log", I have a log with only 2 pages (which corresponds to the sender part "File -> PI")... whereas in our PI pre-production, I have 4 pages for the exact same flow, on which I have also info of the receiver part "PI -> Outside"...
My question is just: do you know which parameter is involved in this trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring Detail log ?
    regards.
    Mickael
Note: in [Help SAP|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fd/16e140a786702ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm], I see only this sentence "Audit Log: The audit log for the selected message is displayed as the default setting.".
Edited by: Mickael Huchet on Oct 18, 2011 1:59 PM

    Hi Shabarish,
Thanks that will help to localize my search.
else by hazard, you don't know which parameter in this tree is for the "Audit Log"?
coz I did a quick look in prod and pre-prod, but it seems the severity is the same (e.g "Info" for most of them) whereas the trace level of "Audit log" is different.
    Thanks for

  • Activating Message Overview Message Monitoring

    Hello,
We recently moved our XI system (3.0) towards SP21. Now we want to activate new way of message monitoring using the message overview. As stated in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
note 1031773 describes how to activate the message status overview. However when i search for that note. The note is not (anymore) available.
An SAP note with the number requested could not be found.
Somebody a clue where the note has gone? Or can somebody tell me what are the steps to take to activate message-overview monitoring?
    Thanks in advance,
    Emile

    Hi,
It is better to raise a new OSS. Sometimes, with a new solution or incorrect solution , some of the OSS notes actually gets cleaned up or deleted.

Check the payload received is correct or not in this case ...
Take payload and check at mapping level...
if you are using insert or update statement you can enable log at the receiver jdbc channel in advance mode(logSQLStaement to true) to see how the statement is getting framed ...

  • Message details not getting displayed in Message monitoring of RWB

    Hi,
I am trying to see how many messages in Message Monitoring by selecting Integration Engine option, Message counts are getting displayed like how many has been processed successfully, processed with errors as well.
When I click on message count a pop up screen opens and gives me no messages are not available even for the same day messages.
Can any body give me an idea like where i can set any parameter to display in detail of messages in integration engine for one week back as well.
    Thanks...

    >When i click on count of messages which got processed with in one hour then it shows details of that messages, but when i select other messages which got processed on the same day but more than one hour then its not displaying any details of the messages.
I guess in this case your retention period is set to zero in SXMB_ADM. And this is the reason you cannot see the message even if they are an hour old.
    >Is there any where where we can set parameters or any oss note to be implemented in order to see details of any messages with in a week or 10 days.
In XI run tcode SXMB_ADM and then follow "Integration Engine Configuration ---> Specific Configuration". Now check the Archive & Deletion Current & Default Values and set the Retention period as per you need.

  • Message monitoring Status Waiting for email receiver

    Hi Guru,

    Mail Attributes:

      To    : [email protected]
      Subject : test
      Content Encoding: base64
I encountered one problem where my email receiver status in message monitoring is always 'Waiting'. I do not know what went wrong in the setting? Does anyone know how to solve my problem ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

XI tries 3 times before changing the status of the message to System Error. One can Manually resend the error messages by using the RESEND button in RWB. In scenarios where XI was trying to send the message to an end system that was down for maintenance, you would want XI to resubmit the message automatically without human intervention. What would be nice is to able to tune the retries like IS_Retry which is available for Integration engine.
We can achieve this by changing the retry count used by the Adapter Engine, by default its set to 3 times, 5 minutes apart. This count can be changed in Visual Admin->server->services-> SAP XI Adapter: XI.
Here  change the number Retries parameter from 3 to 10 and change the retry retryInterval to around 10minutes. For these configuration changes to be picked up, restart SAP XI Adapter: XI.
