Clean uninstall of Premiere pro cc to reinstall

I had my power supply die and ever since my machine has been having issues between Plural eyes 3 and PPCC. I need to do a clean uninstall of PPCC. I did the regular  "start/ programs/ uninstall PPCC/ and it worked. I reinstalled from the cloud and when I went to open the project again I get an error that Warp stabilizer is missing. I open Video FX to see what there is and it shows 2 warp stabilizers as choices. I had to go into all the files that used it and remove the old one and use the other one to get it to work.Strange. So I thought maybe there was a better way to uninstall here.
Thank you.
David

I uninstalled the Premiere Pro from my computer and now, when I try to reinstall it my Creative Croud accuses that I still have it on my computer. But I don´t have. What should I do? I tried closing the CC app, I tried unlloging from the CC and it still displays as if Premiere was installed.

  • Cannot uninstall Premiere pro.

I have tried to uninstall Adobe Premiere Pro, as I need to re-install it  because something stopped working on it.
I go to my control panel, uninstall a program and chose to uninstall Premiere Pro.  It keeps telling me
    "Uninstall Failed.
    Your uninstallation encountered errors.
    Troubleshooting tips:
    1. Restart your computer (I did this a few times already).
    2. Exit all applications including startup items, virus checking firewall and software.(Nothing of Adobe is running)
    3. Uninstall again  (Didn't get to uninstiall in the first place.  Still won't uninstall)
You may also download and run the Cleaner Tool ( which I tried to do, it STILL won't uninstall). If the problem still persists, contact customer support for further assistance."
I have tried to contact customer support, but it won't let me get in contact with a person! It takes me here, to the forums.
Can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to uninstall this!

  • Premiere Pro 5.5.2 crashes when generating thumbnails; faults ImageRenderer.dll

Hello all!  I'm a new Premiere user.  I've been working on a review show, and it's been going great for the last month.  A few days ago, however, Premiere Pro started acting wonky.  Part of my show involves putting in small clips from other sources, typically 3-4 seconds.  With this most recent show, Premiere Pro started crashing left and right without warning.  It took me a few days to narrow down the source.
ImageRenderer.dll seems to be crashing when attempting to generate thumbnail images of the sourced clips.  Everything else seems to work fine.  It seemed to start when I used the Clip Speed / Duration function to slow down a 30fps clip to about 25% speed.  I realized later that the clips were at 30fps in a 24fps timeline (the rest of my material is 24fps).  Once I changed the clip's speed, Premiere started crashing, perhaps due to how the clip interacted with the timeline.  I removed the offending clip, but it seemed that the damage was done.  I discovered that if I deleted the source file from the project inventory pane Premiere wouldn't crash.
I just recently discovered that if I collapse the video track of the source clip, Premiere won't generate thumbnails for those clips and thus remains stable.  I stress-tested my rig all day yesterday using MemTest86 and Prime95, with no errors.  I also uninstalled Premiere Pro, rebooted, and reinstalled from scratch.  I still get the ImageRenderer.dll crash when Premiere attempts to generate thumbnails for the clips.  So far I do have a workaround (collapse the video track) but I would like to figure out a better solution for it.  I even created a new project and re-sourced the clips into a different frame rate.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Premiere Pro interface : bad translations from english

Translating a software into many different languages can be a difficult task. But honestly, a software like Premiere Pro can't be that bad in translated terms. For example, the function "add edit" is translated in french "ajouter le montage", which is a direct translation from english and means nothing in french.
In the sequence menu, there's also a function called "afficher au moyen des montages", and I really have no idea what it means (4th function from the bottom of the menu) :
Based on this screenshot, could you tell me what the name of this function is in english, and how it works if you know it? Thanks!
Also if anyone wants to report translations error in this thread (in any languages), I'd love to compile them and send a feature request to Adobe so we can have a software with functions that make sense in other languages!

"Show throught edits"!! Thanks, now I know what it is about
True it's not an easy term to translate though... but it really could be better than the french "afficher moyen des montages" which litteraly means : "show the mean of edits"... A better translation for it would be "afficher la continuité des raccords". Feel free to pass this on, it's my 2 cents on the subject!
But you're right, the simple solution not to be bothered with the translation problem would be to use the english version. In order to do that, I guess I have to set my language settings to english in the Creative Cloud app, then uninstall Premiere Pro, redownload, and reinstall. Is that correct?

  • Premiere Pro won't start, application error

The last time I used Premiere Pro it worked flawlessly. But all of a sudden when I launch either Premiere Pro or Media Encoder I get an Application failed to start error.
I reverted my machine to what it was the last time I used Premiere but still it crashes.
If I should reinstall Premiere, how do I proceed? It's not like I can do it through the Application Manager. A
ll I get there is "up to date", I don't get the install link anymore.
    Any Ideas?

Not wanting to wait I found out how to uninstal cloud apps. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Pro family. but still it will not launch.
Application failed to start correctly (0xc000007b)

Well, I seem to be the only one to have this problem so far.
Like I said earlier, I tried to reinstal Premiere by first not forgetting to deactivate any application to reinitialize the adobe key, just in case. Then I uninstalled the Premiere Pro Family through the Windows control panel. Rebooted and reinstalled it through the Adobe Application Manager. But still, it didn't work. So I had to resort to a complete system restore. Luckily I had a recent backup.
I have Premiere working now! I guess we'll wait till it happens again to figure this one out.
The only thing I can see that caused the problem in the first place is that a file must have gotten corrupted at some point.
    But why only Premiere?

  • Activating Premiere Pro 1.5

I need help activating Premiere Pro 1.5. Thanks.
Earlier today, due to computer gremlins, I uninstalled both Premiere Pro 1.5 and CS 4. I want to reinstall both. And am now stuck, trying to activate 1.5.

First, the correct forum is http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere/premierepro_previous?view=discussions
Second, you can't activate 1.5 so read below
    CS2 (and earlier) Activation Server http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
    From that link
Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue. These products were released more than seven years ago, do not run on many modern operating systems, and are no longer supported. Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 keeps crashing on startup.

So, I just had a fresh Windows 7 install because for the last 3 days I've been having a problem with Premiere Pro CC 2014 and this was my last resort, even so, it didn't work.
Everytime I try to start Premiere Pro CC 2014 this happens:
I know this has been a problem to a lot of people, but I've tried every solution I've seen so far: tried the Premiere Pro CC version, reinstalled Premiere Pro CC 2014, updated Intel Graphic card, disabled Intel Graphic card, renamed Adobe's AppData folder, tried running in compability mode, reinstalled Quicktime, unistalled Quicktime. And I just formatted my computer, so I really don't know what else can I do.
    I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate with a Intel Core i3-4330 CPU @ 3.50GHz, Sapphire Radeon R7 260x, 8GB RAM.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 not stable on my system

    Mac OS 10.10.1
I am having problems with Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 that make it almost unusable on my system. All other software, including AE, Audition, Prelude, Photoshop etc. working well.
The symptoms, which are not specific to any one project - but seem to effect all equally - are:
    1) Intermittently, I loose the ability to play clips or the timeline. I can drag the playhead around, but nothing plays, nor does the viewer or program monitor change or update. I can't use the space bar for play, nor can I click the play button with the mouse.  Either action requires a re-start.
    2) Exiting the application, Premiere Pro will not completely shut down. It goes into some kind of limbo state. The only way to shut the application down is to use the Force Quit command from the Apple Menu. Once the application has been Forced to Quit, it will not restart until the computer has been restarted. It will just bounce up and down in the dock and never launch completely.  The only way to launch it again is to completely restart the computer. If the application has been force quit, when I shut the computer down, I get the spinning wheel for a very long time during the shut down process, but the computer does completely shut down on its own. After I restart, Premiere Pro starts up promptly.
What I have done so far:
    Verified Disk Permissions
Run Disk Warrior on all disks.
    Trashed Premiere Pro preferences
Uninstalled the Premiere Pro app, and then re-installed a fresh download.
    My computer specs:
And I am connected to 2 Thunderbolt Pegasus Raids for the media.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Yes, it is.
Does this happen with brand new projects, as well?
    Yes.
Have you checked the permissions of all your Adobe folders? Are they set to Read Write?
They were all set to read/write, I did the procedure as outlined in the link.
Have you checked the permissions of your Mac HD and your media drives?
    Yes.
If you create a new user with Admin privileges, does that work better?
I have not tried this yet.
If you disconnect your media drives do you see any improvement in stability?
    No.
This problem does not, to me, seem to coincide with the either the OS upgrade or Software upgrade. It has begun to appear over the last week or so, and is occurring more and more often.
Any help you can give appreciated.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 crashes after installing Microsoft DirectX

It looks like I just made the biggest mistake of installing Microsoft DirectX causing Premiere Pro CS4 to crash. When I create a new project and a new sequence to open it crashes. I submit a report and try it again and it crashes again and again. I uninstalled just Premiere Pro CS4 (I have the Production Premium Suite) and now the installer hangs up at the system check. I'm using WinXp 32bit 2.6 Quad Core Nvidia GeForece 8800 GTS 512.
    Deacon_1

    Deacon,
Along with the DirectX update, did you install anything else?
After your installation of the DirectX update, did you also update your video and your audio drivers? If not, that would be my first thing to try. Both of those drivers can be rendered obsolete in a heartbeat, and because PrPro interfaces more closely with those, than nearly any other program, it will fail, while simple players, etc. still function.
    Good luck,

  • Audio when importing AVI in Premiere Pro 2.0

    Hi everyone,
I'm a bit of a n00b at Premiere 2.0, but I'm slowly learning. When I import an AVI recorded with Bandicam, and try to play it, the video is fine, but the audio comes out as a constant high-pitched whistle, low rumbles, and other odd and garbled sounds, with no hint of the original audio. Can anyone help me with this? Using a clean install of Premiere Pro 2.0 with Windows 8.1.
