Clean-up not functioning prope
When I tried to perform a clean-up on my zen 20gb it went past 00% and eventually stopped at 553% i'm sure this can't be correct and was wondering if I should perform a format all or reload OS instead?
I know what you mean. My Microphoto froze earlier, and then couldn't rebuild the library (it stopped at 9 of 959 songs every time.) So I decided I'd try the clean up in recovery mode.
Well, apparently it's still working on cleaning up, and doing a very thorough job at.. 600% as of right now. At first I thought this maybe meants files, not percent, but I ost certainly don't have 6K+ files on my microphoto.
Oh, and it won't turn off while it's scanning. I assume this is because it would be damaging?

SoundBlaster Live! LS Not functioning proper
Howdy,
I had accidently deleted some of my drivers for my On-Board sound card, so I bought a "Creative SoundBlaster Li've LS" sound card. I installed it (including the little wire). After installing all the information from the CD, I reboot and tried my sound. I do not get any sound what-so-ever from a standard 2 speaker setup. When I plug in my 5. surround sound, I will hear the song, but it is extremely distorted and barely understandable.
) I have a 5. Surround Sound Speaker system from Altec Lansing.
2) Speakers are not the problem, I have sounds when I plug the speakers into the CD player.

I'm not 00% sure why you are having a conflict with your PCI video card, however this has nothing to do with the fact that onboard sound can conflict with any PCI sound card. It is a common troubleshooting step to be followed.
I am done arguing this with you. This is not solving anything and the problem on this thread has been resolved. I am locking this thread.

I need help with deactivation.
I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro on my computer and my installation of Adobe Design Premium CS3 is not functioning. After having my MacBook Pro for just less than a year, the input/output port is suddenly not functioning. Even after clicking the correct buttons in the System Requirements/Sound section, I cannot record through the input and listen through the output modes.

as the title says, the integrated webcam of my Toshiba Satellite P300D-110 is not functioning properly. Allow me to explain. Using the Camera Assistance Software I can take photo's and record music. If I try to record a video the preview screen turns up black and the end result tuns out black aswell, completely black.
Whenever I try to use my camera with applications such as MSN Live Messenger, Skype or at community websites using Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari the application in question crashes.
*How did this happen?*
You tell me. This is how it went;
* Day 1: I've started up my laptop and looked at my fresh and clean install of windows vista home premium. I tried out my webcam using the webcam assistance software and it worked like a charm.
* Day 2: Once again I boot up my laptop and try to start my webcam only to find out that it no longer functions.
To give a quick summary of the thread;
* Using Camera Assistance Software provided by Toshiba I can take pictures.
* Using Camera Assistance Software provided by Toshiba I can record sound.
* Using Camera Assistance Software provided by Toshiba I can _*NOT*_ record or preview a video.
* I can not start my camera using any other application such as but not limited to; MSN Live Messenger, Skype, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safar.
* I have downloaded and isntalled the latest drivers from the Toshiba website.
* My laptop is about a week old.
I'm not sure what more I can do, all I want is for the webcam to work, if anyone can help me out please do so.
And if possible WITHOUT having to reinstall Windows Vista Home Premium.
I haven't even used it and wouldn't want to make that a solution for all the problems that might occur in the future.

Can you please describe the steps how you try to do this? I must ask you this because it runs well on my notebook. When the recording is finished player opens and you can see recorded movie. It is avi format and at the top of this player you can see the path where the movie is saved.
Most strange thing for me is that you cannot use it with Skype. Ok for MSN is not the perfect but there is absolutely no problem with Skype. Check the settings and it must work somehow. -
The printer has had difficulty finding the wireless router.
I had a problem with the print coming out on an angle.
I cleaned the rollers with a dry rag now the wireless radio is not functioning at all.Try resetting the printer. Turn it off. Hold the # and 9 keys while turning it back on.

On a Windows 2008 R2 server that had been working fine, all of a sudden some shared folders became inaccessible. Clicking on them returned the following: "<Folder> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. A device attached to the system is not functioning."
If I create another share with a different name for that same folder, it works fine. If I delete the original share then recreate it with the same name, I get the same error. However, if I right click on the problematic share and select 'map
network drive' that works. So this would not appear to be a permission issue.
I discovered this problem because the path for mapping the home folder as a property of their AD account stopped working.
I have tried most of the common things found on the internet. I've tried accessing via IP, same issue. While I only have a couple 2003 servers, those can access this resource.
At this point, I'm pretty much out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. I also have some reports of potential issues with some printer mappings too which I will have to investigate in the morning.

Can you access the shard folder locally? Is a specific server cannot access the shared folder? Please try to Boot your server in Clean Mode to check if some third-party software cause the issue.

Excel alligment is not coming proper

Hi, I am a college student and our college a year ago sent me CS5.5 Master Collection InDesign at that time the font control bar was not functioning correctly on my PC. Our class was about Adobe Illustrator so our instructor rather than deal with it had us just cut and paste things into MS Word.
Now a year and half later I am taking a college course in Adobe Photoshop . . CS6.0 Master Collection InDesign once again the collection is the Student and Teacher Licensing for Windows. The same thing is happening now we are REQUIRED to this semester to create a Calendar using our own photos and create a INDESIGN layout using our photos we took for our course. In this version of CS6.0 InDesign I figured they would of fixed it by now, but the "Control Panel is still not working, nor is the Character Panel that you pull up to the side of InDesign. I am able to use the pull down menus and do things from there, but the point of taking this course was to learn the software, how can we students use the software if it is not functioning properly.
NOTE I AM EXPERIENCEING THE SAME THING WITH ALL SIDE PANELS NOW TOO.
Oh yes it changes the font name when you use the pull down window from the top menu, but it is not allowing us to use the CONTROL BAR just under the MENU BAR, nor the side panel I pulled up and am showing there. In ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR I can use the character panel just fine, but not in InDesign.
In Illustrator when I go to launch it I get this error, I have done as it asked but it still is bring this up at launch. I can go in and use Illustrator just fine, except for this error.
Someone thought I may of installed it incorrectly, so I removed all ADOBE software from my computer ran maintenance and virus scans and reinstalled the software, a whole day wasted, but it still is doing the same thing.
a) Thinking that this is a limitation placed on the software by Adobe because it is a Student Teacher Edition?
b) There's a problem with having OpenType and TrueType fonts on hand?
c) Adobe has a software problem that they have yet to resolve?
d) There is something somewhere within the software I need to flip a switch on?
Our instructor I gather who owns his own business his works just fine on his PC, but then because it is his business software it makes me think it has to do with the Student Teacher Edition.
I have more than enough RAM and hard drive space the Processor is a AMD A8-3800 APU with Radeon(tm) HD. Graphics is 2.40 GHz. It is a 64-bit Operating System. Oh I am using a Windows OS 7.0 Professional .
This is the only piece of software that I have come accross that will not function correctly on my computer system since it's purchase Jan of 2012.There is no difference between the commercial and educattional versions of the products other than the license terms. The software itself is the same.
Since you are on windows 7, the first question is are you using large fonts in the Windows interface? Large fonts combined with an Aero theme are deadly to ID. See InDesign tools and panels don't respond to mouse clicks (Windows 7/Vista)
If this doesn't apply, the next thing to try is replacing your preferences. See Replace Your Preferences
Do you use a font manager? If so, which one?
Does the account you are using have adminsitrator privileges? Shouldn't matter, but it would be worth trying a new account that does.
It's still possible that the installation failed in some way. That Illustrator error certainly makes it look like a strong possibility, and there may have been some left-over crud from the first failed install that was not replaced the second time. If the things above don't clear up the problems, I would suggest Deactivating the suite from an applicatin that will open, and uninstalling again, then run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) which will remove all traces of the previous installations. Reboot, then before reinstalling run MSConfig and turn off all non-essential startup programs and services, especially any virus or maware scanners, third-party firewall, instant messengers, iTunes and all browser helpers and toolbars, then close MSconfig and reboot. Log in as an Administrator (the actual Adminsitrator account would be best, but it may not be turned on). When the warning comes up about diagnostic mode continue to boot (cancel MSConfig if it opens), then run the installer again. You can now run MSconfig to restore normal startup and reboot once more. -
ThinkPad buttons do not function (T430s)

I just received a new T430s and the buttons below the TouchPad do not function at all.
A clean Win7 Enterprise installation was performed as soon as the laptop was received, so I cannot verify if the buttons previously worked.
I have upgraded UltraNav, the BIOS and the device drivers for the TouchPad without any luck.
I also disabled both the TrackPoint and ThouchPad, in varying combinations, in BIOS and the OS with no resolution.
The TrackPoint functions perfectly fine as does the tap to click feature of the TouchPad.

I believes its somehow set itself into the same format used for cellular devices... My JSU.edu page says somethin about it being in (portal mode). It is also a different format now that normal.

I would start with air on the keys as sometimes debris can cause this issue.
Here is a link to uninstall the keyboard. In the device manager have you uninstall all that is listed in keyboards, restart the computer after uninstalling, it should reinstall automatically and resolve any issues with the keyboard.

Though the following comes from an iPhone article, the troubleshooting steps would still be valid:
Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

I purchased a 3TB HDD (WD USB 3.0 $100) to replace the 2TB Seagate for a new Time Machine HDD. The 2B was full and backups were deleting older files. The 3TB was formatted NTFS and I want to "recover" the included SW before I reformatted the HDD for the iMac. I discovered that MacFuse was out of date and unsupported and my NTFS-32 was also out of date so I uninstalled both and then installed the most recent version of Tuxera NTFS for Mac. I rebooted and discovered that the FW800 port was unresponsive. Below is the EtreCheck report:

I can't use the sticky note function-Help!
I have version 9 and I am not able to makes sticky notes in reviewing the work that is sent to me. I had version 5 where all worked well and recently got a new hard drive and installed Adobe Reader 9. I read that the document has to have permission to make comments and when I go to preferences it says that this document does not have permission....but when I call the person who sent it(graphic artist who works in Quark) -she said that nothing has changed and that it does have permission. Help! What do I do to be able to use the sticky note function again.

[email protected]I have noticed a similar problem at my friends computer. The small company he works for has a regular Apple Quad tower running Version Cue 3 w/ Leopard. The system has Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional installed. When he logs in and creates a PDF review, he is able to see the review window open up in Safari with the commenting features. Granted, since he has Adobe 9 Pro, he doesn't need to "Enable the Commenting" feature.
So we tested on his lap top that just had the Adobe Reader 9 (AR9) recently installed on a fresh copy of Tiger 10.4.11. He got his invite email and went to the server and was able to do all the functions except for one: when he went to check out the review and clicked to open the PDF, it came up with an JavaScript error indicating that the: This Document is Available for Review in Acrobat Reader. You must use Adobe Acrobat .. blah blah
So I did the next obvious step and went to AR9 and and "Enabled the Commenting". Saved it as a different document name and re imported it into the Version Cue through Bridge. I went back in and tried to initiate a new review with the updated file. SAME ERROR POPPED UP. Now, I was able to directly open the PDF document that I exported from AR9 on my friend's lap top (solo Reader) and the document loaded successfully.
The users all have the proper permissions. It works on a system with Acrobat but not with just the Reader installed. Any ideas out there?
