Clean URL issue

Hi Apex Experts,
I am having application 101(SALES) with APEX 4.2.2, for the same i have configured SSO with clean URL, but when user logged into application it is showing the edit mode URL (Dirty URL).
Ex:-
Clean URL = https://forums.oracle.com
but always it is showing https://forums.oracle.com/pls/sun/f?p=4050:3:796502932389014::NO:::
it makes big security issue.
I have fallowed same procedure in APEX 3.2.1 , it is working fine.
Please any one help me how to resolve this issue in apex 4.2.2.

Hi,
There isn't really a standard way to get a clean URL in APEX. There are some workarounds for example check out:

As for the security issue, the most common is the item manipulation using the URLs, to avoid URL manipulation just turn on the session state protection in the application, then users can't tamper with the url anymore:

"Clean URLs" in Drupal not working on OSX Server 10.5.5

As per the Drupal website, I have enabled the "Allow Overrides" feature in ServerAdmin for each website that uses Drupal and needs Clean URLs. Unfortunately, after restarting the service and even a reboot, this does not remedy the issue of Clean URLs not functioning for the websites. Any ideas on why that is? I am running OSX Server 10.5.5 and Drupal 6.2 - 6.4.

Clean URLs do work. It can sometimes be frustrating getting them going, yes, and the directions that are available over at the Drupal site (and which set are you using?) can be somewhere between problematic and stale.
Are you using the .htaccess file or /etc/apache2/httpd.conf here, and is it set up right? (There are two versions of the Apache web server and two configuration roots present in 10.5. The newer of the two uses the /etc/apache2 root and the older uses the /etc/httpd root.)
Things can get interesting with the leading-dot files as these don't show (by default); you can end up not getting these files copied if you're not careful.
Make sure the Drupal file protections and ownership settings are right, too. Ownership on everything but the /files area should be root or such, with read access allowed for www. Don't let Apache write anywhere you can avoid it.

Clean URL in Struts and Tiles

I was trying to implement an application which will have Clean URL. e.g. http://something/user/john in Struts. I mapped ActionServlet to / (and not *.do). Following is my web.xml entries:

Has anybody ever tried to implement such an application with Clean URL and Tiles in Struts?

Clean URLs with JSP/Servlet

Hello. I've found some information on how to setup clean URLs for php, but none for JSP/servlet. Hopefully some one can help. Here's what I mean by 'clean URL':
http://mydomain/employee.jsp?employeeID=1232
becomes
http://mydomain/employee/1232
And, in that second example, the container would dispatch all requests for /employee* to some JSP/servlet. I don't care if the 'clean URL' has to have an extension or not (e.g. mydomain/employee.jsp/1232) although I would prefer to also remove the JSP extension.
Additionally (if some one has experience with this need): how do I then access the final part of the URL supplied by the client? In other words, how would 1232 be available to the destination JSP/servlet? Does the container convert it into a parameter, i.e.:
1) client sends request for "mydomain/employee/1232"
2) container delegates request to "mydomain/employee.jsp?1232"
Finally (sorry about the length), I don't have access to top-level config files for this site (it's personal use, although I'm pretty familiar with java APIs from my job), so, ideally, I'd like a .htaccess level solution, where the container can just re-route to a JSP.
If any one has some suggestions, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks for your time. Take care.

.htaccess to create clean URL's conflicts with ICE

When I use regex's to create clean URL's, I am unable to run ICE against the editable pages. The error indicates I'm missing ide.php in the /includes/ice folder. Any suggestions? This maybe a conversion problem with .htaccess and maybe my rules aren't written correctly. Any suggestions would be welcome.

You need to make sure that the group you are enabling the services for is in the LDAP path for the 10.5 server, and not in the local directory or the LDAP for the 10.4 server.

HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276 - new - Device error and Cleaning cycle issues

HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276 - this is a new printer a friend purchased at Staples. It connects WiFi okay and prints when prompted to but it then does a "Cleaning" cycle after every print job. It also displays "Device Error" at the same time. It has been powercycled as instructed and the error continues to reappear and the "Cleaning" cycle continues as well after each and every print job. My friend paid Staples to set up this printer to a new Acer Laptop and D-Link router he also purchased before he brought them home. He was told everything works fine .. they lied .. Laptop and router have no issues .. just the printer. The Laptop sees the printer okay and software is installed without issue. Any ideas why the "Device Error" and "Cleaning" cycle after every print job is happening? He is on the verge of taking the whole outfit back as Staples has not assisted him and instead directed him to download the manuals from HP. Any suggestions are appreciated

Have you tried a hard reset on it? I know you said you power cycled it, but a hard reset is sometimes different than what some people consider a power cycle.
Follow these steps to perform a hard reset on the printer.
1. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the power button to turn it on.
Try that out and let me know if it helps.

W500 Windows 7 Clean Install Issues

My W500 came with XP. I did a W7 install which is effectively a "clean install" from XP.
Anyway, I followed the instructions provided by Lenovo but my W7 installation doesn't seem to be how XP was. I'm having to install one item at a time manually to make things work. The "Sysytem Update 4" didn't install a lot of items like Access Connections, HotKey, Power Manager, etc. I had to do all those manually. I recall on my XP system under Start Menu -> Programs, there used to be a "ThinkVantage" folder which had a lot of items in it, now it just has "Help Center" (again, an item I had to install manually).
1) Did I do something wrong in my procedures? I'd like my machine to be exactly like a W500 ships today w/ Windows 7. Is there a checklist to make sure I've got everything?
2) I have an unknown device in the device manager. Clicking on it provides the following info:
Location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller
Hardware ID: ACPI\IBM0068
I've Google'd this problem and reinstalled the Power Manager as recommended. The object is still there. Any ideas?
3) Which Roxio to install? Small Business or Business Edition?

I have resolved the Unknown Device problem. After a lot of searching on Google, I found the exact driver I needed:

It is listed at, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70443 but installing it before didn't fix the problem. Some how it got fixed when I tried it again.
ISSUE #2: SOLVED.
Would appreciate some help on #1 and #3 especially from someone that works at Lenovo.

Problem in abap web dynpro URL issue

Hello All,
I have created a web dynpro for calling different tables with F4 help dynamically through ALV webdynpro, I can update, delete/insert row in ALV for multiple tables with one webdynpro program.
Now problem is user wants to create url for different tables and keep it in the portal using with this webdynpro program like that i need to create more than 20' url's and keep it in portal with current created web dynpro program.
Could please provide any solution for this issue.

You could try passing the table name as a URL parameter.
i.e.
http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<app_name>?table=MARA
This can be read in your WD application and use it to determine the table to display. There is a heap of content out there on the internet that explains how to do this.

SOAP.request URL issue

Im using the below webservice script in my PDF, it is working fine.
but, If the URL is wrong then the below code is not executing the remaining statement. If the URL is wrong or the server is down, I hav to show message, How should I catch that error and show the right message.
If the request is fine I am getting the resultResp value.

It is very clear that the certificate being used by that server is not the genuine one. It might be issued to some other server and they must have altered few fields to make it usable on that server.
Ask the client to install a genuine certificate on the server.

Go url issue - no value passed through in filter

Calling Webservice from Adobe form - Webservice URL Issue

Dear Friends,
I have developed a webservice and calling it from an Adobe form. I have downloaded the WSDL file from tcode SOAMANAGER. When I create a data connection from the Adobe form I use this WSDL file and the form elements gets created automatically and I drag and drop them into the form. The issue is when I click on the Submit(Execute) button the Webservice URL is always pointed to the client from where the file was downloaded and its hard-coded ( for example if i download the wsdl file from client 300 then the URL would be http://<location>/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/z_web_getmat/300/z_web_getmat/z_web_getmat). So if i execute the form from client 200 its not working. How to make this URL dynamic so that the webservice gets executed from the client from where this form is called. Please advice.

Change the variable wsdlAddress as per your requirement. The above code is just a sample.
For getting the client pass it in a datasource variable attribute at time of downloading the form. At time of submit get the value of that variable and use it to form the url.

Iphone/URL issue

I have a new iphone 4 and have the latest version of itunes on my Sony Vaio pc with Windows 7. When I connect the iphone to the pc, itunes does not recognise the device. I went to HELP-RUN DIAGNOSTICS and the end result was "The URL is not opened". Any advice on how to resolve this issue please.

REFERAL url iSSUE

when i browse through my j2EE site/.Net site i am getting the proper referal URL as part of header information . also when i go from the j2EE site to .Net site the referal url is coming properly but when i want to come back form the .Net site to the j2EE site the referal url information is not being sent .
Please let me know the solution for the same.
Also since i am getting the referal url in all the other cases there is no issue with the browser or webserver setting
