CleanAir Technology and Version 7 Code

I was wondering if anybody that has successfully installed and deployed the CleanAir technology and the Version 7 code can provide some feedback.

I upgraded to 7.x code on WCS and WLC4404. No issues on those 2 pieces but the 2700 Location Appliance stopped working. Cisco TAC provided Location Appliance software version 6.0.103.0 to fix the problem.

You are correct, between the higher numbers of users with multiple devices the bandwidth requirements keep increasing.
The limitation of three non-overlapping channels in the 2.4 GHz space is driving more customers to 5 GHz, it is important to have both bands when high density deployments are needed. While many older devices only support 2.4 GHz, we are now seeing far more devices with 5 GHz as well.
The recomendation of 20-25 clients and 8 voice calls on a given 2.4 GHz channel is still a good "rule of thumb" with actual customer data requirements driving those numbers higher or lower. You are right when you say "throwing Access Points" at the problem can degrade the wireless quality as co-channel interference and overall noise floor can rise with multiple Access Points that can all hear each other.
A better approach to the problem is to throw more spectrum at this issue (using 5 GHz channels) and elements of 802.11n (20 MHz) bandwidth on 2.4 GHz.
What we have been doing in high density deployments is to try to minimize the propagation of a cell and focus it in a given direction. This can be done by
1. Managing the RF power of the radios (Access Points) and in some cases the client's power (using elements of CCX).
2. Using the right antennas to shape both Tx and Rx cell size to help isolate, we have recently introduced a new high gain antenna for stadiums that does this well.
3. Limit supported rates, obviously the higher the data rate the less sensitive the receiver is and the smaller the cell size becomes.
4. Enable 5 GHz (that adds far more channels for data throughput)
5. Limit the number of SSIDs in use as each requires a separate beacon (adding to RF utilization)
6. Co-locating access points with non-overlapping channels
There are some challenges, for example; many dual -band clients prefer to connect to 2.4 GHz, and 2.4 GHz is more likely to be busier and subject to interference, so we also enable Cisco "Band-Select" which basically "nudges" those clients off 2.4 GHz and pushes them to 5 GHz so as to free up the 2.4 GHz band when we can determine the client has 5 GHz capability.
So how is this done? well, we do this by listening to the clients and if we detect that the client is sending out probe requests on both bands we know the client can use 5 GHz so we essentially make the 5 GHz band "appear more attractive" to that client.
Note: Client load balancing and Band select are features in the Cisco Unified controller menu.
Also enabling client link (intelligent beam forming) helps direct the signal directly at the client and reduces same channel interference.

2TB Ext. Hard Drive is corrupted?, error code -50 and then error code -35 when i try to empty out my trash

okay so a few days ago i received and email for one of my colleagues to do some final editing to a music video. the folder contained 2 videos a rough chops and the main which was about 2-3GB which i dragged on to my external hard drive . and at the time i was trying to install a trial version of parallel lines and me being a newbie to the software i didn't know i need windows installments for it to run lol but yeah... so i was just getting frustrated with the software i kept installing it uninstalling it and then i was thinking my the problem might be because my MacHD space is low (less then 40GBs on my MacHD), so.. i installed it on my hard drive where all my important files are (I'm a graphic designer and do light video editing) video projects and many photoshop projects form 2007 and logs and just a bunch of important files in my hard drive. so because i was so frustrated with the software i wasn't thinking and i installed it on my external 2TB hard drive. and when i realized parallel wasn't working i gave up, uninstalled the program form the hard drive and for some reason when i did that and i tried opening the video my friend had email to me and for some reason it did load up but a few seconds maybe about 10sec in the video is froze and closed my media app (VLC) and when i tried opening other video files it would freeze every few minutes but those specific files i had drag in last were not playing after at least 5 secs and eventually didn't open at all so i restart my computer login and now i get scared i see that my MacBook Pro isn't reading my external hard drive so i search threw forums... i unplug from the wall plug my external hard drive back in my computer and it loaded up but when i opened my external hard drive all my files had that plank white paper icon on my folders (because i have everything organized but subject when you open then drive folder. so... i go in to my projects and nothing, i open my edited photos and nothing... my hart feels like its about to drop and i keep opening files and there is nothing in them, but in "get info" of my drive it shows that there is filled so i go to "disk utility"... i "verify disk" passes ..."repair disk" doesn't past.... i look it up in forums... so i reboot my computer and go to the safe recovery menu. go threw the same ting "disk utility"... verify, pass... repair, pass... so now i feel relieved. i login files in the ext. hard drive load up i tried again to open the files and same thing happens... so now I'm thinking its the files i drag the files to the trash and try to empty and its gone i reboot the computer and my drive didn't load up so i tried unplugin it and back in... drive comes up i notice theres trash.. i tried emptying it and i get the error code -50. and no files are popping up on my external drive and i try to repair/unmount disk and the verify disk doesn't pass and when i click repair disk it doesn't past and another error code pops up -35.... so i felt my drive alone for a few days and yesterday i go the files deleted from the trash and now I'm not getting any codes but when i try to unmount.verify/repair the disk. keeps letting my tits need to be repaired so i click the repair button another error unable to unmount volume to repair...
what do i do? my files still don't show up. and I'm very sorry for the long paragraph but i have to be detailed for you to understand my situation

Old version Source code to .exe file conversion

I have a programming GUI source code (written in an older version of LabVIEW). Can it be supported by LABview Evaluation version 10.0.1 and be converted to an .exe file. How can I convert and use source code file for programming? What do I need to convert and how?

2010 can open VIs written in LabVIEW 6.0 or newer. Just double click on the top level VI. You will also need to install any hardware drivers (i.e. GPIB, DAQ, etc) that the old program used.
With the evaluation version, you can create an exe but it will have a watermark on the front panel.

How to find Mobile device OS name and version using Flex?

is there anyway to get device information like OS name and version using flex 4.5.1 or 4.6 SDK. i am developing a project in Flex which needs to identify the end user mobile platform like Android, iOS.. and its version like Android means 2.1,2.2,etc..
Anyone can help me on this?

I don't know that there is a proprietary driver. In fact, I'm sure there isn't because I never installed one. I figured there was some code file somewhere that dealt with keyboards. Yes, I have dealt with the developer, they say to tell Apple there is a problem. I have been putting it off and waiting to update since 10.6.3, so the problem is getting a little old. Do I even know there is a problem? I'm not sure what this means. I do know that when I update my operating system past 10.6.2 my keyboard no longer works, and I have to use a stock Apple keyboard to run a time machine reinstall. Why else would I be going through this?

Missing Software and version #

Okay, how would you all handle this:
In ZEN 7, we had JUST MSI And add/remove programs setup for software inventory. It actually did pretty good (example, it found a bunch of ESRI ArcGIS stuff).
It would show ALL the SDK (ie, there's an SDK for C++, one for VB, etc.)
It would also show the complete version and build number (ie: 9.2.134.21)
Now we are using ZAM 7.5 (in addition to ZEN, but eventually will cutover to ZCM)
Anyway, ZAM 7.5 seems even more limited in its software inventory.
It doesn't find any of the SDK's (I've had to submit multiple fingerprint wizards in the past for missing software).
It also doesn't report build numbers, just versions like 9.2
Sooo, what's the best way to handle this?
The missing stuff I'm either going to have to add more fingerprints (very time consuming as I have to go visit the PC's with the software to run the utility) or add local product (in which case I've gotta get the people to send me the .exe and whatnot). Either way, stinks, IMO.
And how should I handle the missing version information? It's in the windows registry at the least, but I'm not sure about the actual VBR info in the file. Do I submit an SR, enhancement request, run the wizard?
Version info is very important for us because it signifies the product patch levels (ie, it doesn't say like: Hi I'm ArcView 9.2 SP3, but rather, I'm 9.2.somethingsomethingsomethng)

Recognition in ZAM - and ZCM - has been, over time, focused more towards business applications than development applications. In that environment, recognition out to the build number is viewed as less relevant; accordingly, most fingerprints tend to report at the "N.N" or "N.N.N" level. The recognition technology is quite capable of reporting out to "N.N.N.N" and indeed that level of granularity is utilized when requested and appropriate. (We pickup the build from the VRB.) Further, when specified, "promotion" fingerprints will automatically discover versions with new build numbers in them and create new products on-the-fly. This type of fingerprint must, however, be engineered by Novell.
Generally, the recognition team has placed less emphasis on SDKs. We tend to make decisions towards products that will have impact on the majority of customers. But, as you've mentioned, we respond to requests for signatures.
From the software local products perspective, if you are gathering "software file" (the ZAM name) or "file scan" (ZCM) data, you shouldn't need to have files sent to you to create a local product. In ZAM 7.5 you can create a local product from the Software Files report in the web console fairly efficiently. It works even better in the ZENworks Control Center of ZCM 10. On a project earlier this year, at a customer site where there is a lot of internal application development and a strong commitment to populating the VRB on every update, we created over 150 local products - with different product names and versions - in about a minute.

Find product name and version using JNDI

Is there any consistent way to find the directory servers product name and version using JNDI. Our software is being used with iPlanet 5.1 and SunOne Directory Server and I need to distinguish between them. Currently I use some code (see below) to look for an object under o=Netscape root branch. But the object I am looking for is apparently (so my sys admin tells me) created as part of the administration server install.

As per my understanding there is no indian version of SAP with local language and it is regular version which delivers with english. may be some functionalities are different for an example in finance module indian version of taxes like VAT and So on.

The problem was coming from my server.
I recently played with some settings from a "cache control tool" offered by my hosting but i thought i had it back at default. Turns out i must've missed something. Now i have the .html caching on and everything works good on all browser.
I have another question tho...
I'd like to know if there's a way to cache an html file without having to ask my hoster to cache all of my htmls...
I'm using this code now but maybe there's a way to add something that will cache this page specifically?

LR 30 day trial purchased education version & activation code not working

I purchased a iMac 5K and had been using Aperture on my old machine. Felt this was a good time to change to LR 5.
Downloaded the 30 day trial and decided yes I was very happy the software. I purchased the education version and received my code via email. This code is not being accepted by LR 5.7.1.
Is the download version different to the one I have purchased?
Do I need to delete the version I have installed and then use the disk provided? If that is the case can I reload all my past 2 weeks changes to LR?

You’re not by any chance running the creative cloud version of LR are you?
The CC download can only be validated by subscription, not with a serial number.
If so, send it to the trash and use this download link for v 5.7.1; then enter your serial number.
