Cleaning out all the back up and duplicates in FINDER?

This Macbook is my first and I love it, my question is about the Finder application. I see that in all documents it backs up photos and well as itunes and pretty much everything else. This takes up space as I can imagine, is there a way to clean this up and remove some of it, should I take out duplicates even though I am sure it does this for a reason. It seems between "all documents" and "all images" its backing up its back up.

the folders all docs and all images are smart search folders. they are really just a quick HD search and are not backing anything up if u delete what you find in those folders you delete those files..
