Clear background

hi,
i would like to create an animation of pictures
in flash to integrate (to put) in an html page
but i would like that the background of my flash
animation would be clear (without color)
please could you tell me how it is possible?
thanks in advance

This can be done by setting wmode to transparent - wmode is a parameter for object/embed HTML tag. This page may be useful : http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14201.html

  • Images with clear backgrounds please

    I import an image into iWeb - it always appears in a white box. Even if its an image thats been cutout in photoshop, with a 'clear' background. Tiffs work in other applications but images in iWeb have to be jpegs dont they? a tiff also has a white background anyway - i tried it. Anyone help?

    Images can be anything.
    Depending on my needs, I add EPS, Transparent Tiff, Transparent PNG, JPEG, Gif, Animated Gif, Pict.
    All made with Pages, Open Office, PhotoShop Elements and/or other applications.
    Here's a page with a vector drawing I made in OpenOffice, exported as EPS, opened in PSE, some fiddling, and then saved as an transparent Tiff.
    iWeb changed it into a PNG. [Voila|http://web.mac.com/wyodor/Organogram>
    And yes, iWeb has the habit to put a border round the images you drop on the page.

  • Gif with clear background not working

    Ok, so I have to do a workshop that I have done numerous times before through Keynote. I upgraded to Keynote 08. Now, any .gif file that is in my presentation has a solid white background. I get my files from animationfactory.com and they have clear backgrounds. I have downloaded and reinserted, yet i still get a solid white background. When I open it in the old Keynote there are no solid white backgrounds. Anyone know if this is a bug or if it can be fixed??

    Ok, a little more information, but still no solution. It's coming in as a QuickTime movie, BUT it seems there may be something different about how the iWork apps do transparency now. Previously, (since this still works in iWork '06) they may have performed the transparency themselves. Now it appears that it's adhering to the transparency/mask that's in QuickTime and QT doesn't have the right info...
    If you've got QuickTime Pro, you can play around with the transparency settings, but I haven't gotten too far with those for animated objects. For non-animated, if you convert the non-white portion to a solid black shape, you should get the effect you want, BUT it'd have to be done for EACH .gif. I'm going to check to see if these graphics will then work in iWork '06.
    Annd, yes, it will work. I'm hoping something comes up in the interim that allows the regular .gif's to work. (Just to clarify -for myself LOL!- Because I can create a QuickTime masked gif that DOES work as expected perhaps QuickTime needs to read this info from the .gif when importing it and place it as the mask)

  • Clear background .eps

    Clear background behind vector logo .eps for client to place and fill with colors or photos. How do I create and or save .eps?

    There is no background unless you specifically create one.  Just do a simple File > Save As > EPS.  Persons who sometimes Place .eps files in InDesign forget to remove InDesigns' background.

  • File with clear background places with white background

    Hi,
    I upgraded to PS10 and when try to place a saved pdf in IDCS2 the background changes from clear to white.
    Is there a way to place it so the background doesn't show? Am I mixing up Illustrator and PS10 functions?
    Thanks,
    Garrett

    It functions to my Phaser fine out of PS CS3 in any version 1.3+
    Transparency works out of PS PDF (CS 1, 2[?] and 3). I'm looking at it right now. What the heck am I missing? It doesn't "retain" transparency? -- I can see it in my IND file. In PS: Layer 1 is type. Works fine, retains vector. Layer 2 is soft brush stokes. Work fine, retain transparency in soft areas. Layer three is color fill set to 50% trans. Works fine, overlays a color element in IND great.
    And MO, it doesn't matter if it's 1.3 or 1.7 (out of PS CS3). What's up with that? Is this a lo-res output only thing that will crash on any good RIP? Will I not be able to blend reliably when trying to flatten (and does that matter)?
    Set me right. What's going on!

  • Why is the background of the navigation bar on firefox 4 grey? How do i make it have a clear background like the rest of the toolbars?

    okay i downloaded firefox 4 and all was good, but today and yesterday the naviagation toolbar (you know the one with the search engine home forward and back buttons) has a grey background, the buttons arent grey but the background is and it's driving me crazy

    Formatting options on the forum is showing '''''BTTF's''''' suggestion incorrectly. It should be
    #nav-bar{background:rgba(255,0,0,0.5) !important; }
    I have not tested this solution, so I can not vouch that it works.

  • Problem with Background image and JFrame

    Hi there!
    I've the following problem:
    I created a JFrame with an integrated JPanel. In this JFrame I display a background image. Therefore I've used my own contentPane:
    public class MContentPane extends JComponent{
    private Image backgroundImage = null;
    public MContentPane() {
    super();
    * Returns the background image
    * @return Background image
    public Image getBackgroundImage() {
    return backgroundImage;
    * Sets the background image
    * @param backgroundImage Background image
    public void setBackgroundImage(Image backgroundImage) {
    this.backgroundImage = backgroundImage;
    * Overrides the painting to display a background image
    protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
    if (isOpaque()) {
    g.setColor(getBackground());
    g.fillRect(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight());
    if (backgroundImage != null) {
    g.drawImage(backgroundImage,0,0,this);
    super.paintComponent(g);
    Now the background image displays correct. But as soon as I click on some combobox that is placed within the integrated JPanel I see fractals of the opened combobox on the background. When I minimize
    the Frame they disappear. Sometimes though I get also some fractals when resizing the JFrame.
    It seems there is some problem with the redrawing of the background e.g. it doesn't get redrawn as often as it should be!?
    Could anyone give me some hint, on how to achieve a clear background after clicking some combobox?
    Thx in advance

    I still prefer using a border to draw a background image:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.image.*;
    import javax.swing.border.*;
    public class CentredBackgroundBorder implements Border {
        private final BufferedImage image;
        public CentredBackgroundBorder(BufferedImage image) {
            this.image = image;
        public void paintBorder(Component c, Graphics g, int x, int y, int width, int height) {
            int x0 = x + (width-image.getWidth())/2;
            int y0 = y + (height-image.getHeight())/2;
            g. drawImage(image, x0, y0, null);
        public Insets getBorderInsets(Component c) {
            return new Insets(0,0,0,0);
        public boolean isBorderOpaque() {
            return true;
    }And here is a demo where I load the background image asynchronously, so that I can launch the GUI before the image is done loading. Warning: you may find the image disturbing...
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.URL;
    import javax.imageio.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.swing.border.*;
    public class BackgroundBorderExample {
        public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
            JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);
            JFrame f = new JFrame("BackgroundBorderExample");
            f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
            JTextArea area = new JTextArea(24,80);
            area.setForeground(Color.WHITE);
            area.setOpaque(false);
            area.read(new FileReader(new File("BackgroundBorderExample.java")), null);
            final JScrollPane sp = new JScrollPane(area);
            sp.setBackground(Color.BLACK);
            sp.getViewport().setOpaque(false);
            f.getContentPane().add(sp);
            f.setSize(600,400);
            f.setLocationRelativeTo(null);

  • How do I remove background images from a PDF?  Using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard.

    I have a file I need to print off, but the document is 100 pages lond and each page as a very obnoxious background image that makes it difficult to read the content, and I really don't want to waste the ink.
    I have tried a few things with no luck:
    -Tried replacing document background color in the 'Accessibility' tab in preferences.
    -Tried unchecking the 'Display large images' field in the 'Page Display' tab in preference - this leaves a dark gray background that I can't get rid of, which is almost as bad as the original image.
    -Tried several combinations under the 'Color Management' tab in preference to lessen the gray background achieved from the previous step.  I can only brighten the shade slighty, but there is still a fair amount of gray background.
    I just want a white background, or a clear background, and I have not seen any article or help topic on how to accomplish this.  Please help!
    Mike

    You might want to see if you can select the background with the object touchup tool. If so, can you then just delete the selected object. May take a while to go through the document, but if it solves the problem you are ahead. You may be able to select it with JavaScript and repeat the process. My point of using the object touchup tool is that it may not be a background set by Acrobat, but something that is simply labeled as an image from the Acrobat viewpoint.

  • Payment run  - should not clear the open item but should post payment doc

    Hi Gurus,
    Can you please help me , on how to acheive like when payment run F110 post the payment doc it should not close the open item rather keep that open item as open item , but hsould be be paid by payment doc posted through payment run F110.
    Have any one of you had similar requirement ..? FICO gurus help me to acheiev this .. any exit /BADI ..or ideas..
    Appreciate your help in advance

    HI ,
    Thanks for your reply , but still I am not clear on that.
    reason they want to keep this open to be kept as open item , so that item will be picked up by dunning run ..
    Basically  the open invoice is being cleared by payment doc which was generated by payment run. If we look at BSEG in the open item record BSEG-AUGBL = will have the clearing doc number , and in addition to that BSEG will have created another record for the clearing doc as well .
    May be since open invoice record is being updated with clearing doc (AUGBL ) , I belive its not shown up as open item .
    Somehow this item should be kept as open item ... that is the req and also paid item payment reference should be transfered to Bill of exchange as well.
    Hope you have clear background of my req...
    Tnanks in advance ,

  • Image with transparent background in Photoshop and InDesign exports strangely to PDF...

    Hey, I really hope you can help!
    Ok, I've made a catalogue in InDesign and there is say, an orange border. I've imported an image to layer over the orange border and it has a clear background. In photoshop it has no background and is simply the black outline. However, when i export the Indesign to pdf and print it out, the logo is there with its black part, but it is inside a non-outlined box and the background is sort of transparent, it displays orange, but displays a weird hue of orange, and it stands out... ive got it with a few other pictures, not sure what im doing wrong when i save the image either in photoshop or when exporting or what! I'm self taught, (with the help of this forum and youtube) so ill really appreciate any help. I could post an image but on screen it looks ok, its only seen when i print the catalogue, it's really strange!!! it's not just my printer either - thought of that - ive tried it on three at three different locations and with different pdf files to see if it was just one image. Sadly it's a good 220 on one 108-page document!!
    If you wish to chat rather than post, you can skype me as charmywoo
    im just grateful of any help!!
    Kind regards,
    Charmaine
    Using: Indesign and photoshop 5.5 and operating on pc win 7 - i can also edit on a mac if necessary (if it resolves the issue)

    Thanks loads Bob, just as you posted that, i found that link on another thread and came back to post it and you beat me to the punch! So thanks loads!
    So if my printer is going to print this catalogue in litho print, rather than digital, do i still have to go back and flatten etc ?? I've separated the catalogue off to 108 individual pages with bleeds etc and it looks like I've got a fun friday night opening each one of them !!! rats!!
    thanks loads, kind regards,
    Charmaine

  • Invisible caret in Sun ONE Studio 5 SE - Java Editor with black background

    How to change caret color in Sun ONE Studio 5 SE - Java Editor?
    The caret blinks changing its color between black and the background color.
    I have changed the background color of the editor to black (the first thing I do whenever presented to a new editor...) But the caret changes its color between black and the background color, that is black - result: the caret becomes invisible.
    Is it possible to change the behaviour of the caret? It could blink changing its color between the background color and a color that is visible (for dark backgrounds, white; for clear backgrounds, black).

    I've found the solution myself.

  • Default UITableViewCell text label background color

    I need a table view cell that just has simple text but with custom backgroundView images when not selected vs. selected. I'm too lazy to implement a custom cell, so I was using the regulation UITableViewCell, setting the backgroundView and backgroundSelectedView. The problem is for non-white backgroundView, when the cell is not selected, the text has a white box around it (the background color of the label containing the text, I assume), which looks horrible. When the cell is selected, the default UITableViewCell implementation takes care of changing the text color to white and text label background to clearColor and the custom backgroundSelectedView shows through beautifully. Is there a reason why the text label shouldn't just have a clear background color ALL THE TIME?? If the UITableViewCell is not customized for backgroundView, i.e., the cell background is white, the clear colored text label is no different from a white colored text label. If the backgroundViews are customized to non-white, a clear text label won't be in the way of the backgroundView showing through.
    Does this sound like a good feature request?
    How does one submit requests or bug reports for iPhone SDK anyways??
    Thanks.

    fitzyjoe wrote:
    I am having this exact same problem right now. Did you have to subclass UITableViewCell to fix it?
    I had the same problem and subclassed UITableViewCell to solve it. I set the backgroundView and selectedBackgroundView to UIView instances I wanted to use and then implemented setSelected:animated: in my subclass.
    {code:}
    -(void)setSelected:(BOOL)selected animated: (BOOL)animated {
    [super setSelected: selected animated: animated];
    for (UIView *view in self.contentView.subviews) {
    view.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
    {code}
    Bit bruteforce and as Apple suggests this will impact table performance, but the tables I work with aren't that big and it works well so far.
    It'd be nice if UITableViewCell honored backgroundView like it does selectedBackgroundView, i.e. when the backgroundView property is set keep the cell contents transparent.

  • Bmp images showing backgrounds

    Hi,
    We have an odd problem, we have various reports with *.bmp and *.jpg images on them. They have no or clear backgrounds.
    When we run the report in the designer, the images look fine. When we run them through our dll that uses the API these images look like they have a faint grey background on them.
    We have checked that the printer drivers look up to date.
