Clear cartridge jam

I received the message 'clear cartridge jam' on my printer. I have gone through the steps multiple times to clear the jam, as the amination displays but it is still jammed. I even bought new HP ink thinking that might be the problem but it wasn't. How do I clear this message and have the ability to use my printer again? Thanks.

I recently replaced color cartridge for printer (HP cartridge, new), frequently stops printing, message "clear cartridge jam". Have taken cartridge out/ reinstalled several times, retried. Followed instruction to turn off ...move cartridge to Left, then Right, and clear jam, also w/ unplugging while on. Clear carriage jam?

Hi, getting a clear carriage jam on HP Envy100 eAll-in-One only when I email the HP provided email address. Have no problem printing from iPad or iPhone or from ms card or regular copy. Is this a software issue with HP?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are getting a 'Carriage jam' error on your HP Photosmart, the carriage is moving freely however it stil has the error message. To better assist you can you please let me know the following:
1. What is the Exact model of Photosmart you are using?
2. Have you tried removing and reseating the cartridges and unplugging the printer to reset the machine?

Cleared paper jam-printer continues to display clear paper jam-printer will not reset

officejet 8500 909a- cleared paper jam, printer continues to display Paper Jam, clear paper jam then press OK, that does not work. followed all hp instructions and attempted to reset. does not reset. unit is less that 3 years old. can the problem be fixed or should I just buy another printer which by the way more than likely will not be another hp product

C3180 Photosmart All-in-one won't print. Gives message 'clear paper jam.' There is no paper jam. About a month ago there was a paper jam, but was removed. It worked fine since then until yesterday. I've tried all the HP trouble-shooting suggestions- unplug, take apart, manually move carriage, etc. and nothing has solved the problem. The paper does not advance...all that happens if I try to print is a lot of noise like carriage going back and forth and after a/b 1-2 minutes it will show the "red X" blinking on the printer and a message on the computer screen, "Clear paper jam." When the problem first started yesterday the message was that the printer was "Out of paper." I need to print a resume and this is just the wrong time for someone such as myself with little computer knowledge to try to figure it out. Thanks for any suggestions!

You may not need to remove/re-add. Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:

It can fix a lot on its own (especially connectivity problems) and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

HP2140 clear carrier jam error. Hit cancel button. Get clunk noise and error mssg comes back. No visible paper in rollers.
Can't really get machine open to view fully internals.

P4515 spontaneously prints the how to clear paper jam info page

Cartridge Jam - broken right side gear mechanism, need part

MY J6480 all-in-one had a 'Cartridge Jam' error. Removed right side panel and I can see the little gear mechanism fell off. The gear that goes on the driven shaft split so it no longer can move the gears or cartridge.
How do I get a replacement part? Seems silly to throw away a whole printer for this little part. Is there a micro-fiche somewhere I can access?

This is not a replaceable part.
You will need to contact HP Support (1800-474-6836), and you may could get replacement printer.

Cartridge Jam

My printer shows a "paper jam" message on the screen. However, I removed the back and checked the scanner to find no paper jammed. I believe I have a cartridge jam. My ink cartridge is stuck all the way to the right and will not move. Afraid to break it completely, I don't want to pull too hard. No matter what I do it will not move. If I try to print something it makes a very loud clicking noise. Please help.

How to clear paper jam in MX922?

101 paper that came with the printer into the wrong tray. I fed it into the regular tray. Now I got the error message that said there's a paper jam inside. I've opened all the doors and trays that I could find but I didn't see the papers. I can't see the manual online for some reasons and Canon's help line is closed at this time. I couldn't finished setting up the CD driver because of the error message on the printer. I'm truely stuck.
Does anyone know how to clear up paper jam in MX922? Thanks.

Hp photosmart all-in-one c 7280 will not print since clearing paper jam

Had my first paper jam in 2 1/2 years - cleared out the paper but now when trying to print documents they just back up and a check-mark appears by the default printer beside the word "error". I right click on the printer icon; cancel the backed up documents and the word beside the check-mark changes to "Off-line". I set the printer to On-line and the word beside the check-mark changes to "Ready".
I then send another document for printing with the above scenario repeating itself.
I can make copies so am pretty sure the paper jam is cleared. There's just no response to the Print command.

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue, specifically the Print Diagnostic Utility.
It may also help to reset the printer as described here.

All troubling shooting steps have been taken but can't get the error message to clear. Printer won't print with it.

I noticed the issue you are having with your Photosmart C410a model showing a cartridge error. I would like you to review all of the steps in the troubleshooting guide below to make sure you have attempted them all. Usually the guide will help clear the error.
'Incompatible Cartridge' or 'Ink Cartridge Problem' Message Displays on the Control Panel
If the issue persists, you will notice the instructions will state to replace the printhead. If that happens, call HP's Technical Support to see about your replacement options. If the warranty has expired you can also try Soaking the Printhead by Bob_Headrick. Please read the instructions very carefully if you wish to do this step.

I've tried all the steps on the hp video to clear a carriage jam but none worked. The carriage is stuck on the right sude and will not move .
