Clear history is not working

I have used Firefox for years and have always set the Privacy tab to "Clear history when Firefox closes". Tonight for some reason it started not working. After closing Firefox I can open it up again and am signed in on all my websites. As you can imagine, this is kinda startling. How to fix?
I just realized this started happening pretty much moments after I installed QuickTime, I don't know if this is related.

I'm not sure if "hang" is the right word, but occasionally Firefox will not close after I click "x" and no matter how long I wait to start a new session, I get a message that tells me it's still running. I have to open Windows Task Manager to close it manually in those cases. This was simply that the Privacy settings were not working the way I had them set up for years. After I turned my computer off last night and on this morning, it seems to be fine now.

Clear Key does not work in DW (OSX)

In Dreamweaver, when you select a local file and hit the
Delete key (back delete located in between forward slash and the
end key), nothing happens. In the contextual menu, there is a Clear
key symbol but nothing happens.
Does anyone why the Clear key does not work?
I'm using OS X 10.6. But I could remember this happening in
earlier OS.

In FF28 the "Options - Privacy - History - Clear your recent history " does not work.

Never works to clear history. I can remove individual cookies.
Here's my settings:
Options
- General - Show my windows and tabs from last time.
- Tabs - top 4 checked.
- Content - Block pop-up windows checked
- Privacy - Tracking - first box selected; History - FF will remember history.
- Security - Top three checked.
- Advanced - Network - Cached web content - Override cache management checked. Limit to 350mb.

If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the Cache (Firefox will disable the disk cache in this case, see about:cache)

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.

Having trouble connect consistantly with websites, clear history then it works and an hour later, need to do the same thing (clear history to connect)

Just purchased new laptop with Windows 8, loaded firefox for browser as have always used in other computers. Am having trouble accessing websites, for example when I go to my gmail gmail.com, an error comes up that it can't access the website, check connections. But if I go and clear history, includidng the cache, then close Firefox and reopen and then try it works. Then I'll move onto other things and go back and it still works. Not sure what is the trigger, but when I try to go back to my gmail for example.(as it happens on other sites as well, my banking, my facebook, etc) I get that error again, I then have to again clear history,...then everything works!!! It's very frustrating as I have to clear history at least a dozen times per day! What is happening!

History site not working correctly

The menu bars do NOT WORK right all the time... trying to clear history for november.. none of the links are available. This is most trying!

History setting not working.

When using the setting: "keep history for" - "no history", history is still saved...
So why is this happening? Conversations are still saved under "recent" tab.
Windows 7.
Latest version of skype installed (6.20.0.104)
No other device is using skype, just this computer.

Doesn't work all the time. Same times i get the history back, same times i don't. I say it clears history 25% of times. I got this answer from Skype support. "No history" only works with different devices. If you always use skype in the same device you will keep the history. If you use different computers or a computer and a smartphone, then you will not see the history.

SAP CRM 7.0 WebUI: change history is not working

Hi specialists
Our change history is working - but only in SAPGUI.
I found no way to activate / customize it for the WebUI. The corresponding Assignment Block is simply blank.
On the other hand - in the SAPGUI its working like it is mentioned to do.
But it is getting better:
On our test system its working even in the WebUI.
On our prod. system not.
Does somebody of you have any advices/hints for me?

business partner are visible only changes to contract account are not coming in change history.
for e.g if we changed incoming payment method using tcode CAA2 on ISU change is replicating
on CRM but change history is not showing changes made to incoming payment method.

The Downloads Clear List Button Not Working In Firefox 19.0

Hello,
After upgrading Firefox to version 19.0 today, I noticed that the Downloads Clear List Button does not work & is always grayed/greyed out, and so you can not clear all downloads; and so you have to remove them each one-at-a-time.
I did not have this problem until upgrading to version 19.0

Trying to get rid of the purple highlighting of websites I visited. Clearing history doesn't change things. Does every website you ever visit stay highlighted?

That's the end-of-song marker. Since you're probably not using tempo and software instruments in your radio play, you can lower the tempo down to 40 (even lower with some tricks. See below) and extend the length of time you can access, hopefully.

No History is not working

After updating to version 5.10 skype "no history" option is not working. Even i have delete history . but when i re-login on anyother machine history reappears. This is annoying behavior and create many security risks.
Please correct this bug

Clear Shape hyperlink not working?

I created a text graphic - I then went and created 8 clear shapes and enabled them as hyperlinks with the inspector and placed these clear shapes over the text graphic. When I check in iWeb, it works perfectly, however when published, the links do not work, as if they are not there.

You will need to make the shapes "almost" clear. Give them an opacity of 1% and that should work.

Clear Block All not working

Hi,
I have a calculation script that fixes on some sparse dimension members and then runs a Clear Block ALL command.
This script works in dev environment, but does not work in prod.
I copied the application from prod to dev and executed the script and data was cleared. But the same script does not work in prod.
Any help is appreciated.

When you fix any dense Member/Dimension then "ClearBlock All" will only clear data not blocks, but in case when you fix sparse dimnesion/Member it will clear all blocks,
so please recheck you dimensions which you have fixed in FIX Statement.

History autocomplete not working

just updated the browser to the most recent release. my history autocomplete is not working and i cannot scroll down the location bar to see the sites i have visited. i have my privacy settings set to remember my bookmarks and history, just want to know what i can do about this issue? i had gotten used to only typing a few letters to reach my most visited sites. thanks

Same problem here. I have Firefox on several machines and OS (XP and Ubuntu [edit: Win 7 too]). However, the bookmarks file is the same in each.
None of the location bars suggest (autocomplete) features work now. I tried deleting the places.sqlite (bookmarks) file and the bar began working again, but all my bookmarks had lost their "[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon favicons]". When I replaced that places.sqlite file with my original (including the favicons) the location bar again ceased working.
I highly doubt that the upgrade to 3.6.11 would corrupt every places.sqlite file I have on multiple computers. That leads me to believe that there is some kind of bug in 3.6.11 that messes up the location bar (especially if your bookmarks contain favicons). Hope some kind of patch can be found.
Edit: Just updated Firefox on Windows 7 with same results. I even backed up the places.sqlite (so it could not be corrupted) file before updating then used the backup file when the location bar failed to work. Even restoring with the backup file didn't work - again, this can not be due to a corruption issue.
Finally, I noticed that one (only one) of the autocomplete bookmarks I had selected prior to updating FF in Ubuntu was actually retained. Is there some other file where autocomplete data is held? I wish I knew why that one bookmark is still able autocomplete while all the others will not (note: this is only in the Ubuntu install all other FF installs (in XP/Win7) bookmarks will not autocomplete.

The "clear now" button not working on cached web content

I clicked Tools>option>advanced>cached web content, then clicked the "clear now" button>ok, nothing showed as if the button is not working and there was no clear action.

That button to clear the cache is likely broken because the current Firefox 32 release has switched to a new cache service named Cache2.

This change will cause extensions that use the old cache service to stop working and its developer needs to update the extension.
