Clear my  query

This is  sekar , a fresh B.Tech graduate in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. Iam willing to build my carrer in SAP . I came to know that several modules are there in SAP like NetWeaver , ABAP say application development. Somebody told that it is easy to get on SAP NetWeaver if know JAVA. I have good programing knowledge over JAVA. Somebody told that being a B.Tech graduate in Computers, its better to learn ABAP. Now which 1 i can choose?Now currently iam in  Chennai . Can u tell me how do I start learning SAP??
Awaiting for ur response.........

Consoder your intrests first.
Are you good in progamming? then
1.You can choose Java based SAP Portal Implementation and WebDynpro ,basically application developer and portal developer.
2.ABAP development on SAP ,this also these days incoperate Webdynpro.
If programming is not of your taste then:
Go for SAP Netweaver Administration /Basis Administration
Third option is Functional consultant
Choose any SAP Module Like HR ,FI CO ,MM PM --there are lot of them,,
Start learning as per your intrests.

  • Clear TREX query cache

    Hi all,
    I'm stuck on this problem: I'm adding a document to a Trex search index using KM API (Web Dynpro for Java app). The document is processed & added to the index. So far so good.
    The problem is that when I do a search on that index (I search for ''), the document won't show up because the query results of the previous search for '' on my index seem to be cached somewhere. When I wait for 10 mins (cache expires?) or when restart my Web Dynpro app (so the user needs to login again), the document is found.
    How can I clear/disable the trex query cache?
    Thanks a lot,
    Jeroen
    PS: clicking on the 'clear cache' button in Search and Classification Cache Administration (TREX monitor) is not working. The cache that is pestering me seems to be a session-specific query cache.

    TREX service @ visual admin: queries.usecache == false

  • GR/IR Clearing account query

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    We have business scenarios where GR/IR account gets debited and credited with different amounts. We want to clear even those cases using program SAPF124 by maintaing the required tolerances. Also in SPRO we can maintain the GL to which the clearing differences shall get posted. The path for maintaing these GLs is as below:
    SPRO>Financial Accounting>General Ledger Accounting>Business Transactions>Open Item Clearing>Clearing Differences>Create Accounts for Clearing Differences
    I want to know if it is possible in SAP to maintain specific GL accounts for posting differences for specific GR/IR accounts. This is the requirement as we have many GR/IR accounts for different purposes.

  • Another 8520 Clear Contacts Query

    Hi,
    I'm trying to clean up an 8520 for my daughter, and the contacts are causing me the problems. I've searched the forums for an answer to the issue of clearing all contacts, but unfortunately the two that seem most common may not work.
    The first is using Blackberry Desktop -
    For BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 7.0
    Connect the smartphone to the computer.
    In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, go to the Device menu and click Delete Data.
    Choose the Selected Data option and select the Address Book - Allcheck box.
    Click Delete.
    Steps 1 and 2 ok, but at 3, the "Address Book - All" is greyed out with a message telling me it is read-only data type and cannot be deleted.
    Second option is to use security wipe. However, when I go through Options - Security Options - Security Wipe, I have the option "Emails, Contacts, etc." but with a warning  that "You will not be able to send or receive e-mail from this device after you wipe it". Obviously I am a tad worried at this statement - does this mean that until I restore contacts and set up a new e-mail account, or does it disable e-mail permanently? Apologies if a daft question, but as I am over 21 years of age, this sort of technology is way beyond me!!!
    Many thanks.

    Hi! About your question on security wipe. Of course you will not be able to send/receive e-mails after you wipe it (because the email's will be lost). But don't worry you still can receive/send emails after you sync new emails.
    This will not permanently disable you to this on your device.
    Cheers!

  • Clearing VO dynamic Query-By-Example ViewCriteria

    Looking for some help with JDev 11.1.1.4.0, ADF BC + ADF Faces RC please.
    At it's simplest we're looking how to clear the query-by-example (QBE) filters on a VO without using the table UI component and not accidentally clearing other view criteria on the VO. To explain our use case first let me define the characteristics of our app. We have:
    a) A BTF based on fragments:
    a.1) The transaction/data control scope = Use Existing Transaction if Possible/Shared
    a.2) It contains a single fragment
    a.3) The fragment contains a table based on an ADF BC View Object (VO)
    a.4) The VO has a view criteria defined at design time, implemented via the Application Module (AM)
    a.5) The table allows the user to filter the data
    a.6) The BTF does not include any task flow returns or parent actions
    b) A consuming BTF based on pages:
    b.1) The transaction/data control scope = Always Begin New Transaction/Isolated
    b.2) It contains 2 pages with navigation rules to move between them (back/forward)
    b.3) The fragment from "a" is included on both pages in "b"
    b.4) When navigation occurs between the pages, it is invoked via buttons in this BTF, not the original BTF via parent actions or task flow returns. This aligns with point a.6. As such when navigations occurs between the 2 pages, the region/task flow binding instance of "a" in the region of the current page of "b" is prematurely terminated. The implication is the instance of "a" doesn't get a chance to do any processing before it is closed.
    Note that "a" and "b" are built in isolation of each other. "b" has no inherit knowledge about the components of "a" nor the ADF BC components. The implication is "b" cannot attempt to grab the table UI component, nor manipulate the ADF BC components as it doesn't know anything about the BTFs dropped on its pages.
    If the user opens the 1st page in "b" and enters a query-by-example criteria on the table from the region containing the 1st of instance of "a", then the user navigates to the 2nd page, the filter criteria are still set on the 2nd instance of "a". This is expected behaviour as "a" has data control scope = shared implying when the QBE criteria are set on page 1, they are written down to the VO, which when the user navigates to page 2, as it is sharing the same VO the QBE criteria are there to reuse/share on page 2.
    In our scenario what we want to do:
    1) Is in navigating between the 2 pages, we wish the query-by-example filter criteria to be cleared/reset, such that navigating between pages the filter criteria are empty/fresh
    2) However in navigating between the pages we must not lose the design time view criteria (and it's bind variable value) that has already been applied
    3) Maintain shared data control scope so we minimize the amount of database connections
    The common solution to clearing the QBE filter is as per Timo Hahn's following blog entry: http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/10/29/jdev-how-to-reset-a-filter-on-an-aftable/
    Yet that solution assumes the code has access to the table UI component. As we need the QBE criteria reset on navigation caused by "b", and such navigation causes a premature termination of "a" there's no chance for "a" to grab the table component and clear the filter criteria before "b" navigates away. The logical solution to this is on entering "a" again, to programatically reset the QBE criteria as part of the initial steps in the "a" BTF. But on entering "a" using Timo's solution, the method call doesn't have access to table UI component as the fragment isn't yet rendered, making this solution not viable.
    Another solution we've tried is calling applyViewCriteria(null) then reapplying our view criteria from a VO client interface method, but it appears we aren't clearing the QBE criteria. This worries me a bit because it looks like you can't discern the QBE view criteria from the normal view criteria unless you go through the table UI component methods.
    So how do we clear the QBE filter criteria programatically, without clearing (or at least restoring) the design time view criteria, and without relying on the table UI component to clear the QBE criteria?
    Phew, I hope that makes sense? Thanks for your help in advance.
    CM.
    PS. There is an assumption in the title of my post that table Query By Example criteria are stored as ADF BC View Object view criteria. Possibly it's a separate mechanism so please be careful this doesn't lead you astray in answering my post.

    Chris,
    I don't have time to follow this through right now, but I'm on to something.
    I was able to affect the filter via the binding container (at least it's not the UI). See this code:
      public void a(ActionEvent e)
       String s = "#{bindings.EmployeesView1Query.queryDescriptor}";
       Object o = JSFUtils.resolveExpression(s);
       FilterableQueryDescriptor f = (FilterableQueryDescriptor) o;
       f.removeCriterion(f.getCurrentCriterion());
      }Now, it doesn't do exactly what you want (it actually somehow makes no rows show up in the table), but I believe it's moving in the right direction.
    Am leaving for the office (5:40 am), so I'll pass this over to you to have a gander.

  • Get query into a variable

    Hi,
    See attached code.
    Now, when you would run this query (and if you've turned your
    CF debugger on), you would see the following in your browser under
    your SQL Queries section:
    select id_product, product_name
    from tbl_product
    where id_supplier in (1,2,3)
    and is_ordered_by = 'Telephone'
    In other words you can see what the query has processed
    exactly.
    Now, this is just a simple query that I took as an example.
    What I want to do is NOT to execute the CFQUERY.
    Instead, I want to store the processed part of the query i.e.
    select id_product, product_name
    from tbl_product
    where id_supplier in (1,2,3)
    and is_ordered_by = 'Telephone'
    into a variable.
    Is this possible?
    I've tried doing the following:
    <cfset querypart = "select id_product, product_name from
    tbl_product where id_supplier in (" & variables.supplierIDs
    & ") " & <CFIF variables.isElectronic eq 1>"and
    is_ordered_by = 'Electronic'"<CFELSE>"and is_ordered_by =
    'Telephone'"</CFIF>>
    But it's giving me an error "<".
    It's as if it can't process the <CFIF> inside the
    <cfset>
    Please advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    Yogesh Mahadnac

    You could set a session variable to the results of your
    query, then use that session variable as if it were a query:
    <!--- Query products --->
    <cfquery name="qProduct" datasource="db1">
    select id_product, product_name
    from tbl_product
    where id_supplier in (#variables.supplierIDs#)
    <cfif variables.isElectronic eq 1>
    and is_ordered_by = 'Electronic'
    <cfelse>
    and is_ordered_by = 'Telephone'
    </cfif>
    </cfquery>
    <!--- set session variable equal to query results --->
    <cfset session.querypart = qProduct>
    <!--- now list your "query" results using your session
    variable--->
    <cfoutput query="session.querypart ">
    #id_product# #product_name# <br>
    </cfoutput>
    Of course, once you use your results, you should set your
    session variable to NULL to clear the query.
    <cfset session.querypart = "">
    <edit> I believe that I misread your post, and thought
    that you wanted to store the result of your query, not the query
    itself.</edit>

  • Error: Could not continue scan with nolock due to data movement, DBCC proccache will clear the probelm

    SQL Server: 2008 R2 SP2
    Before describing my problem, I have gone via the forum, there is no view or functions inside my stored procedure
    When running a particular stored procedure inside crystal report, the error " Could not continue scan with nolock due to data movement" comes once every few weeks. After I clear the query cache plan, it works again for few weeks and the problem
    comes again. During these few weeks, there is no restart or query plan clearing.
    If I run the stored procedure inside SSMS, where the SQL statement is copied and pasted from SQL profiler during crystal report run, there is no error.
    I discovered running in SSMS and crystal report generate 2 different query plans even I copied the SQL from SQL profiler, I have actually saved the query plans. Unfortunately, this forum does not accept attachments, or otherwise I will post my query plans
    here.
    There is one thing I notice about the query plan is during nested loop operation, there is a warning "no join predicate". I don't use any views or UDF in the statement, nor did I use pre-1992 ANSI join syntax. However, I did use table variables.
    My guess is whether this will cause " Could not continue scan with nolock due to data movement", after I clear the cache, I run crystal report again, and I look at the plan again, the "nested loop no join predicate" warning is gone.
    Running this stored procedure took 1 second maximum, even when this error is popping up, it pop up within 1 second.
    DBCC checkdb has been run
    The same stored procedure running by crystal report in a SQL 2008 (non r2) live environment has no problems, so I am thinking this is R2 specific problems.
    The "nested loop no join predicate" error SQL statment is below, no views, no udf, but table variables
    INSERT @ChequeAccount
    SELECT        PS.PaySummaryID, PS.EmployeeID, PS.CostCentreID,
                (PS.GrossPay    + PS.LumpSumA + PS.LumpSumB    + PS.LumpSumD+ PS.LumpSumE+ PS.ETP+ PS.PaymentsAfterTax    - PS.DeductionsAfterTax
     - PS.Tax- PS.ETPTax    + PS.TaxRebate) * -1 AS Amount,
                CGLM.GLAccountID
    FROM Pay_Summary PS JOIN Input_Sheet ISH ON PS.InputSheetID = ISH.InputSheetID  AND  ISH.PayrollID = @binPayrollID
    AND PS.PaySummaryID NOT IN (SELECT PaySummaryID FROM @ChequeAccount)
    JOIN Payroll P ON P.PayrollID = ISH.PayrollID AND P.EmployerID = @binEmployerID
    JOIN CustomGLFixMapping CGLM ON CGLM.EmployerID = P.EmployerID AND CustomGLFixMappingNameID = 1 AND CGLM.CostCentreID IS NULL

    The error Could not continue scan with nolock due to data movement can occur when you use the NOLOCK table hint, or use the command SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED. That is, so-called dirty reads. The error is not related to the
    query plan per se, but when scanning a table, the storage engine will use an IAM scan rather than following the clustered index. If there is simultaneous activity, the storage engine may detect this and abort the operation to avoid returning incorrect data.
    Or it may not detect it, and return uncommitted data or fail to return committed data.
    All of these effects are transitory and they will not show up when you are alone on the system, only when there is concurrent activity in one or more of the tables in the query.
    Using dirty reads is a risky business for the reasons explained above, and it takes careful analysis to understand whether you can live with the errors you can get from a particular query. The error about data movement can be handled: trap the error and
    resubmit the query. But what about spurious incorrect results?
    If you believe locking to be a problem, you should consider setting the database to READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT
    and take out all use of READ UNCOMMITTED/NOLOCK. When the database is in READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT, readers read from the snapshot and only see committed data without blocking writers. This has some other effects like requiring a bigger tempdb,
    and there is a risk for other types of concurrency errors, but they tend to be smaller risks.
    I discovered running in SSMS and crystal report generate 2 different query plans even I copied the SQL from SQL profiler,
    This is because SSMS by default runs with SET ARITHABORT ON. I discuss this in more detail in this article on my web site:
    http://www.sommarskog.se/query-plan-mysteries.html
    However, as I said, this problem is not related to the query plan as such, although some query plans are more susceptible to this error than others. (All plans are suscpeitble to produce incorrect results).

  • Dynamic query with Data Access Layer

    I have a program that has a multiselect box (JSP form) to select certifications and then search to see which employee may have them.
    I have no issues when searching by only one, but if I select multiple certifications from the multiselect box, it doesn't work. I've tried and tried and I can't seem to figure this out.
    Below is the code for returning employees that match what certifications were chosen. Again, it works fine if only 1 was selected. I wish for it to return only the employees that match all selections.
    the arguments passed to the DataAccess Layer are an array of certification ID's and the size variable is how many certifications were chosen. The for loop is supposed to dynamically append to the end of the query an extra "AND" sql operator to match up. The 3 tables selected in the query are Employee (a list of employees and ID's), Certificates (a list of possible certificates and their ID's) and Employee_Certificate (a table that matches which employees have which certificates).
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,
    When i go to clear special Gl Payments in F-32 against invoice, it generates 4 documents, two with special Gl Indicators and two normal. In my view this is wrong ,i am unable to understand why this is happening. Experts please shed some light on it

    Dear:
    When you clear a customer
    in F-32 , giving Special GL
    indicator in F-32 screen and
    picks up an invoice RV
    against a DZ collection or any other custome credit item with special gl indicator for knocking off, the system behaves exactly the way you are describing. There will be two AB (or any other document set for clearing procedure in FBKP)
    documents in this scenario.
    One AB will clear special gl account as maintained in FBKP against recon a/c, and
    other AB will clear customer
    recon a/c as maintained in XD01 i-e
    AB (y) 1000 (Spl GL A/C

  • Query hangs during Authorization Check (Event ID 4500)

    I have a BI7 query when executed by developer role (no security) the query runs within seconds.  When executing under end user id, it runs for 5 minutes +.   Aggregates are built and the long runtime ONLY occurs when it is an end user role with specific CC's.
    I tested the query via RSRT, Cache off and Display Statistics and it is clear the query gets stuck for 4.5 minutes under Event ID 4500, Authorization Check.
    This delay does not occur when the query is initially executed.  It only occurs AFTER the variable prompt and when query variables are entered and query is executed.
    Q1)  Can anyone explain a transaction or place to understand why the Authorization Check takes so long?
    Q2)  I would also like to understand the execution order for queries... for example how does the filters or data in the rows get executed?

    Hi Anurag
    i read again this documentation i'd get in another form ("howTo..." Guide on Help.sap.com) :
    I create newsample from scratch and it works !
    Reason of my problem :
    I created 2 authorization objects (given to users) :
    - first with IO 0CUSTOMER,value '*', without 0TCTAUTHH
    - second with IO OCUSTOMER, valeur ' ' (blank), with 0TCTAUTH with required node value.
    => First authorization grants * for 0CUSTOMER (all) and present the entire hierarchy during selection node in query. By deleting it, it works.
    Thank's a lot.

  • ORA-00904 when execute query

    Similar to the SRDemo Search and Results on the same page example, if I put in an invalid query in a numeric field such as "> ddd", I get the error ORA-00904: "DDD": invalid identifier. If I hit my Clear Criteria button (Delete action), I get the same message three times. I get the three messages no matter how many times I hit the button.
    If I manually clear the field and hit the button, I get two of the above messages and the result iterator shows many rows which are all blank.
    A couple of questions:
    What is the best way to validate the query before it is executed?
    I want to avoid too much coding and I can modify the error message if needed. Is there another way to reset the the query form?
    Using JDev 10.1.3.2.0 ADF BC
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Thanks Tif. I will definitely bookmark this link.
    However, my users are not that sophisticated. I really need a form based query.
    The error is easily reproducible. Just go to the SRDemo application and to the Advanced Search tab. Put in any non-numeric character in the Request field and click Find. Click the Clear button to clear the query and you'll get the ORA error several times. You'll keep getting those errors no matter how many times you click it.
    Now, blank out the value you entered in the Request field and hit Clear again. You'll get the ORA errors again but you'll also see the Results table fill with rows but they will all be blank.
    I really like the QBE feature (it gives the user flexibility with little coding from me) but I need a way (easily, hopefully) to trap the error and to be able to clear the query.
    I'm fairly new to JDev so I may be missing something obvious here.
    Thanks,
    Tom

    I will use this thread to refer to in other threads
    It is always helpful to provide the following:
    1. Oracle version (SELECT * FROM V$VERSION)
    2. Sample data in the form of CREATE / INSERT statements or with clause
    3. Expected output
    4. Explanation of expected output (A.K.A. "business logic")
    5. Use tags for #2 and #3. See FAQ http://forums.oracle.com/forums/help.jspa

  • Query returning more records ...

    Hi All,
    I am having a bit issues here. I have three tables and i am trying following query and it is returning 7 rows but I am expecting one row to return -
    >
    select distinct l.olic_id, b.obat_id, l.olic_key
    from op_licences l, op_batches b, op_licence_batches ba
    where BA.OBAT_ID = b.obat_id
    and l.olic_id = ba.olic_id
    and l.olic_key='HQ67138'
    >
    Getting the following result:
    >
    OLIC_ID OBAT_ID OLIC_KEY
    2     3        HQ67138
    2     1468     HQ67138
    2     1469     HQ67138
    2     1470     HQ67138
    2     1471     HQ67138
    2     1472     HQ67138
    2     1473     HQ67138
    7 rows returned in 0.14 seconds
    >
    I also have tried to use outer join and inner join but still does not work. Can any body tell me how can I get one record instead of 7?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    M Tajuddin

    i am trying following query and it is returning 7 rows but I am expecting one row to returnYou are getting seven different rows so clearly your query is not as selective as it ought to be. Which of those rows is the one you're expecting? Given that, you need to look at the source data and establish the additional criteria you need in order to filter out the other six rows. It looks like OBAT_ID is the troublesome part.
    Given that these are your tables and your business rules there is absolutely no chance that we will be able to solve this for you.
    Cheers, APC

  • Portal not picking up changes from query view in analyzer

    Hello All,
    If I change a query view in analyzer, the changes are not being picked up in the portal unless i restart the portal, therefore clearing the cache.  Is there away of clearing the portal cache without a restart?  I am aware of a few ways to clear navigation cache and PCD cache, but this does not solve my issue. Also I have cleared the query cache through RSRT but this makes no difference.
    Any suggestions apprecaited.
    Thanks,
