Purchase Orders with outstanding invoice - How to clear these down?
Hi,
We have a large number of purchase orders with an outstanding invoice which will never be fulfilled. I would like to know what is the process for clearing these down so the purchase orders will be marked for archiving, and so they will not be visible when running me2m with selection parameter RECHNUNG. I've tried setting the final invoice flag but I can still see the order.
Thanks,

Could u pls clear my doubts?
Hai abapers
I m new to ABAP objects....pls clear my doubts.
1.what is an event? how is it useful in application development?
2.Is it mandatory to give the same name for both object reference variable and object?
Advance thanks
regards,
SelvaHi Selvakumar,
1.what is an event? how is it useful in application development?
An u201Ceventu201D is the occurrence of a special condition during the execution of an ABAP program. This occurrence must be of sufficient importance for the ABAP program to take a special action.
Refer the below link for events.

2.Is it mandatory to give the same name for both object reference variable and object?
Yes. The reference variable oref must be declared as an object reference variable. Instance components of an object created using CREATE OBJECT can only be accessed using object reference variables.

Hi Gurus,
Current Indicator in RT table have the values as A and P. So as payroll is run in the month Feb and retro run for Jan also. There are two result in RT with the Current Indicator A(Feb) and P(Jan retro) OR both have the same indicator as A and P for the previous Payroll RUN...
Please clear this ..
Regards
LAKHANHI Srinivasarao,
Thanks for the reply.
I am still a little bit confused ..AS there in T-code PC_PAYRESULT (for cluster data display) :
Payroll is run for Feb.2008
SEQNR FPPER FPBEG FPEND INPER IPEND SRTZA
61 200710 20080101 20080131 200710 20080131 P
62 200710 20080101 20080131 200711 20080229 A
63 200711 20080201 20080229 200711 20080229 A
The Last Two row show the payroll results for the Feb.2008 wih the A indicator.
Is this corrrect
OR the below rows are correct(AS i have understand from your reply)
62 200710 20080101 20080131 200711 20080229 P
63 200711 20080201 20080229 200711 20080229 A

Hello,
I have two GRC notifications sitting in a users GRC Process Control work inbox that do not allow action to be taken to clear the instances. The action buttons are unselectable, yet the error message indicates an action must be selected before submitting. We are having similar issues with a Display Report for our Risk and Control Matrix. Can anyone point me in the direction of a solution on clearing these items from the GRC PC work inbox?
Thank you,
NathanHi Nathan,
here a short handling overview:
After opening the program via TA SA38 (SAP GUI), search for the Instance-ID first.
Therefore, enter the request number into the field "External Key Disp".
Select the search result.
On the following screen:
- Select "Directly Abort Instance" ("1st Try Regular Cancel" is the same function as you have wie function "Search Access Request" in the UI).
- Enter a cancel-reason (it is a free text)
- Press "Execute"
If it it sucessful you get this message
and request is deleted from the work inbox.
The status of the request in the UI is "Aborted / Cancelled".

Clear the Doubt : ABAP Activity or Basis Activity
Hi All,
I have one requirement, if i excute a report am getting report output, from here if i clickes its enters the VD02 transaction, from there user can enter customer change option. Using vd02 user can change the customer details.
But in customer details i need only display format, for that basis person currently having a ZROLE.
I want to know how to include selected fields under this role?* This is a Basis activity or ABAP Activity.*
Basis team told that its a abap activity, create a z field group and give to us, we will add this zfield group into that particullar ZROLE.
Is its correct?
Pls anyone having idea pls clear this doubt.Hi,
I believe your BASIS Team is right. They can only restrict upto the Txn Code Level from the BASIS Security feature.
Post this thread in BASIS Forum also so as to get the feel from BASIS Experts. -
Trying to clear unread emails shown as a badge next to mail icon, have done network reset and now a complete factory reset and checked server. Any other thoughts on clearing these ghost emails?? Also can we get our old keyboard back that shows lower case and upper case?
Understood, the difference with iTunes being that Apple doesn't (currently) require you to enter any account info on the device until you try to purchase something from their store. Initial setup is just a connection to the iTunes software and you're good to go.
While I understand that RIM wishes the account to be defined, they also need to be aware that doing so during the initial setup without proving an option to do it later, while failing to provide any means to change it afterwards (short of a device wipe) doesn't always suit the the situation. Hopefully they'll be reviewing the forums to gather feedback that they can incorporate into future software updates.

Addressing an email problem. Manually putting a email address is the TO area brings up other names ( with same first letter) from the contact list. this list of unwanted names freezes in place and won't go away unless I restart Firefox. This list blocks my view of the address and composition area. This has been happening for a few days. If i use Chrome, I don't have this problem...only with Firefox. My OS is XP if that matters.
Tried clearing. No Change. I select "NEW" then manually type in a email address which then pops up additional names for me to select/ highlight . I can select or highlight additional names if i want to but I can't get rid of the names or the window where these names appear. Even if I select my IN BOX or SENT this window with all the names is there and obstructs my view and use. It can't be deleted

Clear these Checkboxes?
Using a Curve 8900, OS 4.6.1.231
This question applies to using the BB as a modem via Bluetooth, as well as using the TMobile US (USB) connection created via DTM.
In the connection properties for each of these, should I check or uncheck any or all of the following:
Use IP Header Compression
Enable Hardware Flow Control
Enable Hardware Compression
Enable Hardware Error Control
Negotiate multi-link for single-link connection
My Bluetooth connection doesn't have any of those boxes ticked (except multi-link), and it works pretty well, yet in the Status dialog I always see "Errors" listed, and the number always increases as the session continues.
In the USB connection created automatically using Desktop Manager 5.0.1, all those boxes ARE checked off (except multi-link). The connection works, and so far I have not seen any errors at all.
In the configuration settings, phone and modem options>modem tab>standard modem properties>modem tab, port speed is set to 115200, and in connection properties>connect using>configure, maximum speed (bps) is set to 921600.
I have checked all over the Internet, and results tend mostly towards clearing all checkboxes, but I am confused, especially since the USB connection was created using DTM's "wizard" and left the "multi-link" option unchecked, but checked IP Header Compression despite the fact that BlackBerry's own advice was to uncheck it.
I was hoping somebody here could provide the definitive, conclusive answer for this.
Also, is there any way to increase the speed of the connection to bring it closer to wi-fi speeds? I know this is probably not going to happen, and it's not as important to me as having definite answers to the question above, but it would be nice to know if this can be done. Thanks Bobb for all the help :)
I still have one question:
What determines the "Related Contacts" ? As I understand the rule assign the record to an owner, so does this checkbox also assign this record to others as owners ?
*What determines the relationship between contacts, is it the role hierarchy, The user to whom it is reporting to will also be assigned the same record ?* This holds true for Opportunity records too ... that the relationship is determined by the reporting hierarchy ?
Thanks -

Need Help on Clearing my doubts
Hi all,
I have a question on running Apache and Tomcat with the use of mod_jk connector. With all the guide I have gathered from the web. Below are my configuration:
Red Hat 8.0
Apache 2.0.46 Using Port 80
Tomcat 4.1.24 Using Port 8080
J2SDK 1.4.1
I have no problem running these two applications. However, I cannot seems to access the default 'example' folder that comes with tomcat on port 80. Accessing it on port 8080 has no problem for me.
Please note that all my configuration is done with the help of the following url:
http://www.johnturner.com/howto/rh72-howto.html
According to one of the mail which I have received, I saw him putting this in apache : httpd.conf:
============================================================================
JkWorkersFile /home/gmh2441/uPortal/Tomcat_4-0-4/conf/workers.properties
JkLogFile /home/gmh2441/uPortal/Tomcat_4-0-4/logs/mod_jk.log
JkLogLevel debug
JkOptions +ForwardDirectories
Alias /examples /home/gmh2441/uPortal/Tomcat_4-0-4/webapps/examples
<Directory "/home/gmh2441/uPortal/Tomcat_4-0-4/webapps/examples">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
</Directory>
<Location "/examples/WEB-INF/">
AllowOverride None
deny from all
</Location>
============================================================================
I tried putting the same thing into my httpd.conf, and now accessing the example folder on port 80 works!.
My question is :
1) Based on the above config, it is asking apache to 're-direct' this folder to the tomcat container and thus run on it. In that case, is apache pushing all the jobs to tomcat instead?. What if some of the files in this folder contains some html and is tomcat or apache processing it??
2) Secondly, if I were to have more folders which I need to publish on the web, does it mean that I have to add or of it on this config file in order for it to work?
3) I would appreciate if there are some kind soul could give me some URL on how to utilize apache tomcat to process both static and jsp content.
Thanks in advance,
Joemake sure in your tomcat/conf/server.xml file that the Connector for 8009 is not commented out.

1.From 10g onwards, oracle introduced new data types BINARY_FLOAT and BINARY_DOUBLE.What is the significance of word BINARY in these datatypes?
Is the word BINARY because of the way the calculations are done when these datatypes are used?
2.*Oracle uses blank characters to fill format elements to a constant width equal to the largest element for the relevant format model in the current*

3.In the syntax for simple comparison conditions, the syntax when we have more than one expression is

Sreekanth Munagala wrote:
... My question was how Oracle treats a string literal in SQL functions, whether it treats it as a CHAR or VARCHAR2 datatype?"String literal" means text enclosed in single-quotes. For example, the 2nd argument in this call to TO_CHAR is a string literal:
TO_CHAR ( hiredate -- This argument is a DATE column
, 'DD-Mon-YYYY' -- This argument is a string literal
)What does it matter if the string literal is treated as a CHAR or a VARCHAR2? Give a specific example.
You can see the data types of arguments by querying the data dictionary view all_arguments. There are several versions of TO_CHAR, overloaded in the package sys.standard. You'll see that many of them have the data type VARCHAR2, but none of them have the data type CHAR. If you do pass a CHAR argumnent where the function is expecting a VARCHAR2, it will implicitly convert it.
Since CHAR is a fixed length datatype and the output of the function TO_CHAR is always a fixed length by default (i.e. without using FM), i think oracle is treating the string literal as CHAR datatype. Are you talking about the value returned by the function, or some literal? Literals only apply to written code; functions never return literals.
The output of the function TO_CHAR is not always a fixed length without 'FM'. For example, this one call to TO_CHAR in one query, using one set of NLS settings:
SELECT TO_CHAR (comm, 'TM') AS f_comm
FROM scott.emp;produces strings that are sometimes 1 character long, sometimes 3, and sometimes 4, as well as NULLs.
It may be true that a given call to TO_CHAR in a given statement, where the first argument is a DATE and the 2nd argument is a constant and does not include 'FM', will always return a string of the same length. That still doesn't matter. The return type of the function has to be specified when the function is compiled; the system can't wait until you call the function, then examine its arguments to see if they meet all the special conditions set above, and only then determine which data type to return. It has to know, before the function is ever used, which data type to return.
Look up TO_CHAR in the SQL Language manual to see what data type it returns. It's VARCHAR2. -
