Clear tile cache on mapviewer server!

Hi all!
I make a tile on mapbuilder, then "bring online" to mapviewer server to make a mapview on BIEE. But when i change or delete that tile on mapbuilde, it not change on BIEE.
How do i refresh it or which way to clear cache on mapviewer server.

This produces a correctly rendered map in my browsers, which displays the labels I expect.
Next, I changed the Labeling Function on my Geometry Theme: SRA_SUITE304_F1_ROOM, setting it to -1, so that object labels would not be displayed.
In Mapbuilder, I can preview the geometry theme, and it shows that no labels are displayed.
Still in Mapbuilder, I can preview the base map that the geometry theme is assigned to, and the basemap also shows that no labels are displayed for that theme.
I saved all my changes in Mapbuilder.
However, when I view my map (using the same HTML code) in the browser, the map still shows the labels.
I have tried all of the following:
1) purging the geometry cache for the affected map datasource using the MapViewer Administration Console
2) purging the browser cache
3) restarting the mapviewer server
4) restarting the entire supporting weblogic server
None of these actions cause the map viewed in my browser to be updated to show the map without labels.
Note: If I create a new Tile Layer using the same base map, my changes are visible in the browser map.
What am I missing here?
What cache do I need to clear so that my map is displayed correctly in my browser after I make changes to the underlying Mapbuilder objects?

Thanks. That was the last key to the puzzle.
Here are the steps I now follow to ensure that changes made to underlying MapBuilder objects are visible in the browser.
Perform the following steps:
1) Modify the object (style, theme, base map, tile layer) in MapBuilder, and save all changes.
2) Using MapViewer Administration Console, Purge Cached Metadata for each affected datasource.
3) On the MapViewer server, clear the Map Cache directory. The location of the Map Cache directory is specified in the mapViewerConfig.xml file under the section "Map Cache Server Setting".
e.g.
cd <map cache dir>
rm -rf *
4) Clear the browser cache and temp files for the browser you are using (e.g. IE, Firefox, Chrome). If you think you are not clearing the cache completely, then use the appropriate "private browsing" feature of the browser to view the map. You should then be able to see the changes made to the map in the browser.

I'm trying to get a blog module going, I've even deleted the html insert bog with the tag in and re-published which then I don't get the error but as a result no blog either. But then I add the tag in again and publish the error comes back. I've used the dev console and it says that my musicians sample.css is out of date but why is it only out of date when I add in html to my muse site?

Also I've noticed when I've re-published occasionally it will show the mobile version on my desktop and not the desktop version??? no idea why that's happening so I've had to turn that off. any explanation on why that is happening would also be much appreciated.

I haven't received an answer as of yet, I'll post t on here when I do. I de-activated the mobile site because it's my clients site so he needs it to be operational during the day. I hope someone gives me an answer soon.

I've been building a site in Muse successfully until today when I get this error message in the browser, publishing to business catalyst as a test bed:

Clearing the cache has no effect and I have checked the assets and there are no error symbols. This happened after trying a google translate code in the <head> and a HTML snippet on the master template, I've since removed it but that the last action I took that I can think may have had an effect.
Viewing the source of the page in Safari hash;t helped other than it shows ALOT of html (including some elements i can;t relate to in my site design) and states there are three errors:

I started this site in Muse CC and then recently upgraded to Muse CC 2014, and I had install issues so deleted the original program (this then forced the download of the new version which was not automatically downloading even though CC notified me that an update was required.

Same problem here but it has nothing to do with a cellular connection.
Created the site http://www.blackdot.com in Muse 7.4.3 with no issues. Just updated the .muse file today to Muse CC 2014 and reloaded to our web server. Now I am getting the error "Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect." when viewing the site from the latest version of all browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) on a Mac and all browsers on a PC (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Explorer), also mobile Safari on an iPad.
My connection is wired broadband, not a mobile or wireless connection. I am not using the Muse "Upload to FTP host…" option and will not be using it. I am simply exporting as HTML and copying the files to my server. I have deleted all files from the web server and recopied the updated site with the same error result. This is the exact same procedure I used to load the initial site with the prior version of Muse.
It does not seem like there is an existing solution to this problem although many others are experiencing it. It looks like I will need to manually edit each page to remove the error message coding from the html files. Any tips on how to strip out the alert message from the html?
UPDATE
For anyone else experiencing this issue, I was able to edit the .html files for my site to remove the code responsible for this alert message. If you wish to edit your .html files you must make the same edit to every .html file in your site export including the top level "index.html" and all .html files inside the "tablet" and "phone" folders if you have them.
The coding to remove is at the bottom of each .html file:

Make sure you do not remove any semicolons or braces {} when making this edit. Just remove the text shown above. You will obviously need to remake these edits if you export your site as HTML in the future.

I play games that require I use the back arrow a lot and have been getting the mesage that says this server is rerouting in such a way that it will never complete. How do I fix this, have tried clearing cookies cache etc..

Play zynga games and use the back arrow all the time, continuously using this doesnt seem to go well with firefox 4...firefox3.6 no problems. I get a none responsive page off and on and sometimes have to switch between firefox and chrome. The message is that the server is rerouting in such a way as it will never complete, suggestions have been to clear cookies etc which doesnt fix the problem.

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

How to clear the cache clanup operations as the CE Server very slow?

I am using SAP CE 7.1 on a Core2 Duo system(2.00Ghz with 2 GB of RAM), the server was working fine for the last 3 months but for the last 1 week or so it has turned very slow and its consuming a lot of my systems resources making my system dead slow though earlier my system was working fine.
Can some one please provide me the proces to clear the cache for the CE server as this might increase the performance, or any other process for improving the preformance of the CE srever?

Hi Manish,
Instead of guessing, the better option would be to run a profiler that would help you spotlight the issues which might be causing such a decrease in performance. There are plenty of tools available, also from SAP.

I found that there is portlet called "clear cache",
under provider portal tools. This when placed on a tab can clear the cache of that tab for a user.
I found this as a work around for the API.

Mapviewer server

I deployed MapViewer 10.1.3.3 in oc4j. MapViewer provides FOI server and Map Cache Server. After I start MapViewer Server, why there is MapTileServer starting? I have tried severval times, sometimes MapTileserver starts and sometimes MapCacheServer starts. When I login the console of MapViewer, it was 'Manage Tile Layer' or 'Manage Map Caches'. When I use them, they seem to be same. I want to know the different between them, and why sometimes MapTileServer starts and sometimes MapCacheServer starts. Thanks.

It's very dependent on typical workloads for each application. So any generic guidelines won't be helpful. You will have to run some tests and profile the performace.
You can have multiple apps in the same instance, each using it's own db schema, but the main issue is the size and nature of each map request. How many dynamic layers, how many tile layers per request. And expected number of concurrent requests per app.

BI Web Template Caching on EP server

Hello,
We are developing BI web templates in the BI Web Application Designer and then previewing (via publishing) them with the EP web server. When we make a change to the report/template and republish/preview it to the EP server, the old version remains in the EP web server cache.
Also to note, this is PRIOR to creating BI iviews and incorporating them in EP, so our assumption is that the cache settings in EP iviews do not apply in this case, but that it a broader issue with the EP web server or application itself.
So far, we have tried clearing the overall PCD EP cache under sys admin support section and that does not work. The only way to get the latest content to show up via preview/republish is to restart the EP instance which clears the cache.
Is there any other place cache can be cleared or a setting that will allow the BI previewer and ALL content (i.e. iviews as well) to ALWAYS get the latest and greatest version??

cpl of questions are you on a federated network or are you using any proxy to access the portal? usually it will be slightly delayed some times based on the proxy cache. how are you adding the reports to role through delta link or copy?
When using the portal cache, data updates can appear with a delay.

Iam unable to clear the cache in the portal. I tried clearing the Navigation cache , PRT cache,PCD cache,Database cache,UME cache.
The senario is in the browser if iam logging with some user X , he should see only 1,2,3 countries, and if i logg off and again logg in the same browser with different user he is seeing same 1,2,3 countries unlike he should see 4,5 countries.
But if iam opening in different browser iam getting the correct one with cache cleared.
I want to acheive this in the same browser.
Qucik help in solving out this cache problem is appreciable.

There is one more important cache: the HTTP Provider Service cache (in VA).
To find out why the browser is showing the same languages, analyze what the server is sending to the browser with HTTPWatch or Firebug and look at the cache flag. Also check what is the iView cache parameter? Is it user, session, shared or none?
How do you do the logoff? The best thing is to make sure that the HTTP Session is killed. If not, the portal may send data that is cached for the HTTP Session to the browser. When you open a new browser, you will also open a new HTTP Session. That could be the cause why it is working with a new browser instance.

Can't seem to clear Flash cache in Firefox 4 on Windows 7 (64-bit)

When updating my work's webpage, I cannot seem to get a certain flash component to update. It works fine in IE so I know that it's not on the server's side. I have tried clearing all cache and even private browsing. Nothing I do will cause Firefox to show the updated information. Is there any other way to clear the flash cache other than using Firefox's Clear Recent history feature?

The first version listed is the version I have BUT it appears to me that the first listed applies to Windows7 32 bit. I have 64 bit and that number is off the wall. Also, I was looking for Broadcom since that's the driver I have. Somehow you were able to recognize the driver. I made a restore point and removed Ready Comm and it worked out okay. I would hope sometime in the future Lenovo would identify their drivers so that people who aren't familiar with all of this can recognize what they need. I think you're probably right that that is the driver I have. Thank you again.

Clear arp-cache to ping

I have an SMS server on my network that is unreachable from vlans other that its own. This happened after we pushed out tumbleweed via SMS. Now, in order to ping the server I must issue a clear arp-cache in the core switch, this only last for about 1 min and then the SMS server is unreachable again. Any help would be great.

I have had this problem as well, it turned out to be a pix.
Proxy-arp is enabled by default on all interfaces and its not apparent in the config when its on or off. Its configured as a sysopt and therefore, it often gets overlooked.
Agree with everything you say, check the mac in the arp table of the server when your pings are failing, then trace the MAC you find there which corresponds to the ip address of the router.
Or check the arp entry in the router (again when its failing) and verify the MAC is the SMS server, it may just turn out to be a router or a pix or even....another server which is routing between a pair of NIC's, such as a unix box or a windows server.

I know the iPhone stores information typed into applications for up to one year. This could include credit card and other sensitive info. How do you clear the cache of applications?

Even if this were true - the password for an account that is checked/confirmed on a server and not saved with the app is being stored in the app's cache which I don't believe is true, how would someone be able to access the app's cache on your iPhone? Do you use the passcode lock feature?
If your iPhone were lost or stolen, someone would need to know what they are doing to be able to access an app's cache, and I seriously doubt many would waste their time trying to do. The overwhelming majority of dishonest folks will be more interested in using the iPhone or selling it to someone else for profit.
The iPhone makes use of what is called "sandboxing" with all 3rd party apps. All data created and stored by a 3rd party app is sandboxed in its own area on the device which no other apps have access to. All data created and stored by a 3rd party app is included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you want to clear an app's cache, delete the app from your iPhone followed by syncing your iPhone with iTunes to update your iPhone's backup. Follow this by re-installing the app but you will need to re-enter the account's user name and password if needed and be right back where you started. There is no option to do this from the iPhone that I'm aware of and I think your effort to address this will provide you very little if any gain. Use the passcode lock feature on your iPhone to nothing can be accessed on your iPhone in the event your iPhone is lost or stolen.
