CLEAR WHOLSLT WINKING AND RANDOM MENU ICON

Good day
For some time I have seen very awkward icons etc appearing on my blackberry, there are two things I am very unsure of and it seems to be irritating me. When I click on the blackberry button, at the top of the left menu that pops up, I get a random selection called "Clear Wholslt Winking". I clicked on it, to see what it does but nothing has happened. And also I realized after doing that, when i hold on to the blackberry button in order to switch to a different application. There is a random icon I have never seen appear there, its named "menu".. without a capital letter at the start like all the others.. i clicked on that and it froze my phone partially. Please help me, as none of my friends are experiencing the same problem. I would like both these to be removed, it gets in the way..

I really think it is some third party app.
You need to find it and delete it.

6280 menu icons

we've just had our firmware updated and got some new groovy icons on the menu page...
unfortunately when I restored the contacts etc using PC suite I lost my icons - they went back to the boring old ones!!!
does anyone know how to get the new items back on my phone?
suggestions pleeeeeeeeeease!!!!

Hi there
No I've not changed how its viewed (the actual icons are different) and the pc suite doesn't appear to have installed a new firmware version...i don't know what its done but its done something!
I've tried restoring factory settings but again the icons don't go back!
When I picked up the phone this afternoon, the firmware was updated, and the menu icons were also new...now its gone back to the old icons!!
Any ideas??

If it is otherwise working, you can change the battery. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the part on eBay and other online sources. Just make sure you know the type of iPod you have so that you get the right part.

(Note: Most replacement batteries come with plastic/nylon tools seen in the guides.)
You can also have a repair business do the work.
If it is just the battery, if you do a Reset (using the Menu and Select buttons) while it is connect to your computer, I think it should still be recognized by iTunes.

Mac Mini desktop folders/icons and top menu blinking on and off

Hello. I've just returned to my Mac Mini after being away for a few days. Upon booting and having the desktop fully load, I have been experiencing all folders/icons and top menu bar blinking on and off every ten seconds. I have only opened Fire Fox to try and diagnose why this is happening. No solution yet.
I am running Snowleopard with Mavericks and I'm aware Mavericks is a little buggy at the moment (beach ball used to blink on and off every now and again and performance has gotten slow) I only have the HDD replaced last week as the last one failed. I really need to fix this problem soon as I rely on my Mac to work from home.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have sovled the problem! for now at least. I came across another users suggestion to dissable "sync status icons" in google drive as it confics with the finder in Mavericks. I guess this would only work with others having this problem with Google Drive and Mavericks.

If you select that right-click context menu entry then you block all images from that domain and not one specific image, so do not use that.
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions (e.g. sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Menu icons (time, battery, etc) keep disappearing and reappearing

The menu icons in the upper right corner (battery, internet, time, etc) keep flashing on and off and are not accessible. This started yesterday and, in addition to the flashing icons, iTunes no longer recognizes or syncs with my iPhone or iPad. Any suggestions before I trek out to the Genius Bar?? Thanks!

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
The genius bar may be your best bet, but you could try booting from your install disc and repairing your Boot Disk. Also check to see that the SMART status of the hard drive is verified.

I'm using Pale Moon x64. The icon on the task bar and start menu looks like a 'computer' and not the pale moon icon-why is that?

My computer is Windows 7-64 bit.
I recently installed the Pale Moon x64 from the proper site.
All is working properly, except that the 'icon' for PM in the task bar and start menu is not the blue moon. I wonder why that is and how I can change it.
This happened on install of PM.

Everything is working, I just want the icon to be correct.
I guess the motto of 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it' may have to satisfy me.

Your iPhone is in recovery mode-- you need to connect it to your computer and, most likely, iTunes will ask you to restore it. If you recently backed up this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Airport menu icon goes off and on constantly

My AP Extreme N base station no longer works so I hooked up my old AP Express. It seems to be working fine but the AP menu icon goes from full to empty all the time now. It will stay full strength for a minute or so then get no bars for a minute. Back and forth. My connection seems to be fine though. Any thoughts?

After installing AP Scanner. It showed that the signal was going from nothing to full, but only staying there for a second or two before dropping to zero. It would then stay at zero for 15 seconds or so. Does that mean my Airport is dying?

TimeMachine not backing up, as hard drive is full. Can the time machine clear old backups and replace them with new?

Time Macine not backing up.
As the harddrive is full, Can the time machine clear old backups, and override them with new backups. For example 5 - 6 days +++ old. Backups were proformed dayly

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

Dreamweaver CS3 menu icons not displaying

I just recently reinstalled my OS X and CS3 Suite with the original CDs because there were some issues with Illustrator unexpectedly closing before it had even opened the desired file. The reinstalls went without problem on all applications in the suite except Dreamweaver; the application menu icons are now replaced "broken image link" icons, and my ftp connect button has disappeared as well.
Here is a screen shot of what I'm looking at in the Dreamweaver interface:

I have tried repairing/reinstalling the application by itself and the entire suite, but I am still getting the same result, and only in Dreamweaver.
I have also tried clearing the .plist file and cache, but that hasn't helped either.
Has anyone heard of this happening before? I've had a difficult time finding anything similar on the forums.

Yes that could definitely be the root of the issue. Put your OSX disc or disc that came with your Mac and boot up to that. Run the disk repair utility from the menu at the top of the screen (you don't need to re-install OSX). See if it can be fixed.
And just a friendly reminder, make a backup of really important data before doing too much more.

E65 Menu Icons Changed

I just got a replacement E65, because my last ones keypad lights stopped working, now this one had some
crazy freeze/stall.
Was busy downloading music, then message came up saying: "memory card full ..." Didn't think
anything of it. Cancelled the download and cleared up some space on mem card.
Then everything froze, I switched of the phone. When I turned it back on, the main menu icons had
changed.

below file/edit/view/history/bookmarks/tools/help menu line, on second line I have added icons for print, reopen closed tab, session manager, (xmarks)synchronize now, my xmarks, home,duckduckgo, woolik search, stumbleupon, you tube, do not track me, mask me, better privacy, https addon, zoom out zoom in, back forward, private browsing toggle. on the third line i have added icons for gmail-open in a new tab, gmail checker, gmail notifier, last pass and the address bar. there are 2 to 4 separator lines between the icons, grouping like icons, i.e., security, search engines, gmail, etc. each time i close Firefox and then reopen, the icons are no longer in the order i placed them, with separators, or they are not visible and i have to r.click. select "customize," and re-drag and drop the icons and separators where i want them. i am a very, very beginner at this all, but drag and drop i know. why don't the icons/seperators stay in place??
