WEB ADI INTEGRATOR FOR Bill of Material

I am developing a WEB ADI integrator for Bill of material upload. The integrator will populate the data in a temporary table, validate it & write the error messages back to the table . On succesful validation the data will be sent to interface tables & then to base table.
The integrator uses a procedure & sends data to the procedure. Procedure then loads data in temporary table & does the rest of work.
To do this i need to know the following thinngs:
1. How i can track the line no of Excel?
2. How do I know that all data are loaded in temporaray table because the validation & rest of work will be done once all the rows of excel are transfered to temporaray table. i.e. How do i determine the End of File in Excel?
3. How do i write error messages from the table to the excel in web adi?

If you check the XML that Web ADI generates to upload a document you will note that each row gets a row number. It would be a matter of being able to keep track of that number in your table so that when you are reporting the error back you can include that number in the message so the code in the Excel spreadsheet can assign it to the correct row.
I would suggest trying to use even some of the basic validation mechanisms provided within Web ADI, as these will automatically return the error messages for bad data to the correct row in the spreadsheet.
Web ADI will take the uploaded data, perform any validation check defined within meta-data then push the data to your Interface table. There are plenty of examples in th shipped code of product teams then using the Import phase of the upload to perform additional checks and then push the data further. But if you can utilize the existing Web ADI functionality. The data never ends up in the table in the first place to require any clean up on your part.

Options for upgrading from weblogic 10.3.0 for 'workshop' applications?

We have a few upgraded Workshop applications that we need to keep running and don't want to have to rewrite - they are successfully deployed on a 10.3.0.0 server. As of 10.3.1 Oracle seems to have dropped all support for workshop. Is there a way to upgrade the 10.3.0.0 server such that the apps will run, or to run these apps on a 10.3.2 or later server? If so, does documentation exist? Thanks!

With the weblogic portal 9.2 you can find all the JSP but this time Bea has not given the JPF code.Jsp code is available there.The path will be
\WebContent\portlets\rssreader\*.jsp
Create EAR project
Create Portal project with groupspace enabled
Go to merged view of the weblogic workshop
Right click the portlets folder and choose copy to project

Regarding data integrity for XI file/jdbc adapter

I have several questions about XI data integrity for file/jdbc adapter.
Question 1 is: if the destinate file or DB is not reachable or other technical problems occur, do I have to send the message again or not?
Usually we design an bpm to comfirm whether the database or file is completed according to a response message. But it's a little complicated.
Question 2:when I use jdbc send adapter and configure select and update SQL clauses. Does XI only update the records which it select automatically? or Select and Update don;t have any relationship?

If the DB is not reachable then message will be found in the inbound side. you can found them in the adapter. Goto RWB -> Message monitoring -> select status System error and search . there you will find your messages. select you message and resend them

XI never does updation automatically, Update is done only based on the SQL update query which you have written in the sender channel.
SELECT statement is used just to pick the values from the table and based upon the query which you want to UPDATE in SQL . data is updated

So it is an SAP pricelist product, it has to be purchased from SAP. Consulting services are typically done by CIDEON.

Document integration for Bex reports and web reports

Hi,
I would like to attach few documentaion (like business usage of the report) for all existing reports in BW system. We are delivering all reports through Bex reports and Web reports.
Report user should be able to see attached documentation through "Document" property in Web report.
I have followed this way but not able to get on-line documentation for queries.
1. RSA1--> Documents >Meta Data> selected Object type ELEM> Import document> attached word document.
2. I enabled Documents property in Query designer.
3. When I executed this query in Bex, I could see document symbol for all characteristics & Key figures in all cell (in default view)
4. The same result with Web report (all cells are having document symbol).
But I dont want to display documents in defaul view, if any user wanted to have doucment info, then should click on "document" tab and should be able to down load / read on line.
Let me know why I am getting document symbol for all key / char, even though i selected "ELEM". I know we could direclty import documents in query designer, what is the difference..

As you are going for the new installation of Business Objects Enterprise XI R3 you can find all the prerequisites for the installation like the disk space and all other such requirement in the documents provided in the following link.
You can have the Business Objects documents from the following site.
-     Please go to Http://help.sap.com
- Click on Business Objects tab
- Select the product as Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.0 and it will list all the document under the respective product.
You can find all the prerequisites in the Business Objects Enterprise admin guide. And if you need to have BO and SAP work together in conjunction you need to have the Business Objects Integration Kit for SAP. Integration Kit provides the database drivers and other features for reporting off SAP.

Any Tutorials on Game Center Integration for iOS?

I'm currently developing an iOS game and would really like to use Game Center, I noticed the new Gaming SDK 1.1 has game center integration for Flash Builder, but Ive never used this before and have no clue where to start. I can't even seem to use the samples.
A tutorial on how to set this up would be nice if one could point me in that direction (I've tried google to no avail).
Also, are the ANE's for Game Center only usable via Flash Builder and not Flash Proffesional?

For Integrating GameCenter in your app you need to perform following steps:
1)Create a development provisioning profile at https://developer.apple.com/ in which GameCenter store technology is enabled.You can do this by referring the following link:

2)After creating provisioning profile,login into the https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa using the same credential using which you create your profile.Click on "Manage your Apps" tab and then tap on the "Add New App" button.
3)Fill in the App name and select the bundle ID using which you create your provisiong profile and click on continue.
4)Click on Manage GameCenter button and add leaderboard and achievements information for your App.
5)For integrating game center API's in your app you can refer the docs at:

6) After all this package your app using the provisioning profile created in step 1.
All the ANE's availaible with GamingSDK 1.1 can be used with both Flash builder as well as Flash Professional.

Third Party Integration for Template Based Hire in PS 9.1

I am implementing template based hire on PS 9.1.
I am receiving the applicant details from a third party vendor in a xml message.
Requirement is to insert the applicant details into template based hire records (HR_TBH_HDR and HR_TBH_DATA).
I am able to subscribe the field values from xml message. But facing the problem while inserting the values into base records.
I am trying to use Component Interface on HR_TBH_JOB component. The pages on this component are dynamically build and so the records.
If anyone has worked on the third party integration for Template Based Hire in PS 9.1, please let me know your suggestion for insertion into template based hire records.

I am not getting any error message as I haven't completed the coding yet.
I will go more on the technical stuff so that the issue will be more clear.
I am using the Integration Broker setup to receive the xml message from third party.
I have written the app package and added that as handler into the service operation. as of now I am able to subscribe the xml message. I am having the field values into the variables.
For insertion of those values into template based hire (TBH) records (HR_THB_HDR and HR_TBH_DATA) I created a new CI on HR_TBH_JOB component.
But when I analysed this component I came to know that Pages, Sections on the Pages and the fields of the sections are dynamically build based on the Template.
On HR_TBH_DATA page PeopleSoft is using derived record (HR_TBH_SCR_WRK). Field values are assigned to this record fields bsaed on the section of the template.
Here is issue I am facing while coding. As there is only one record (HR_TBH_SCR_WRK) to store the all the values from the template, I am not able to understand that how to assign the variables to CI variable. I am looking for the logic, so that the CI will work normally.
If you have any sugestion to insert the data into TBH records other than using CI, will be appriciated.

Logic needs a better integration for hardware sinthesizers like Emagic - SoundDiver was!

I work with a community of about 50 logic users in Germany and nearly all of them love to use some of the old hardware machines from Roland, Korg, Akai and so on.
In the past there was a program from Emagic called "SoundDiver". Sound Diver was a program who integrated all well known hardware synthesizers in to logic that a logic user was able to edit (with read, write, automation!!) the programs and sounds in SoundDiver and Logic.
SoundDiver was the bridge between Logic and the hardware synthesizers. Especially for the old hardware with midi function was SoundDiver the best program on the market to integrate your hardware in to logic.
The most important point was that SoundDiver did all this great work by saving time for us as Logic user.
Our Logic User community agrees that Logic Studio 10 needs a better integration for hardware Synthesizers and especially for the old ones. SoundDiver was the best feature for this.
Apple: Please integrate the Sound Diver in to Logic 10!!! You will see, all professional and semi professional users will love it and you will have a big benefit in comparison to Cubase and ProTools.
The current way to work with logic and hardware synthesizers needs to much time and it is not ideal.

Sound diver was really cool, but it's not working in modern OS. If Apple will try to add it's functionallity , it has to rewrite this soft completely. But even in this case they could not support a big variety of old hardware. I would be happy if I have a little bit more functions in external midi instrument track. I also tried to replace Sound Diver with MIDI Quest AU plugin, but it does not work well with my old Virus.
