Cleardock BACKGROUND BEHIND LEOPARD DOCK! I NEED HELP!!

Omg, I just installed Leopard and I totally thought that there wouldnt be a problem removing cleardock after installation. But right now, theres the cleardock background behind the new Leopard dock and I CANT REMOVE IT! I've removed application enhancer and the cleardock app so many times and ITS Still there.
Please help!!

Not sure I know the answer, but some questions:
Can you say what the background looks like? Sure it's not the reflective shelf that's a part of the Leopard Dock?
And have you tried restarting after removing the enhancer and cleardock?
And you say that you've removed them several times. Do they reappear or refuse to be removed?

I am also a bit unhappy with some of the customizations lost... especially with appearance.
I feel that people should have a bit more control over fonts and colours, and I don't necessarily appreciate some of the "dumbed down" applications,(like iPhoto, for instance).
I will certainly not be tossing Aperture... was saddened that it's no longer going to be an upgradable application for much longer. Just updates to support new OS's. iPhoto is sadly inadequate, and I prefer Aperture and it's many plug-ins to Lightroom, far and away!
I do understand that the GUI is really meant to make the experience of OS's as visually seamless across all devices as can be, partly in needing to cater to a device-rich-knowledge-poor population of users. But I also understand that the less sophisticated rendering of objects,(like icons, menu bars etc.), makes for a leaner, faster GUI/OS. I can state honestly that my iMac runs Yosemite faster than it ran Mavericks... and has done since installing Beta version 1. And there is a smaller footprint...= more room for my photography,(I'm an art photographer), and my audiophile grade lossless music files.
Apple has always limited customization options; we've never been able to choose menu bar colours, particularly, or do too much with item text font choices. Not everybody is a "weak" user, and settings could be a bit more creatively available. Nice thing about Apple always has been that, if you screwed up, it has always been easy to fix things. And there's always Time Machine, if things went REALLY awry!
Being able to hide the top menu bar, as we can hide the dock, would be lovely. Now that there is a duplicate bar on my second monitor, I find it even more annoying to be ever present.
BTW.... I prefer the "dark" option to the light version, and use "graphite" instead of blue... the lollipop colours of the buttons in "blue" just grit my teeth for me.
I keep sending feedback to Apple, asking for more customization.

Leopard crashes alot NEED HELP!

*Recently i've been getting the "mac osx needs to be shutdown" message with darkened screen. It happens frequently since i installed Leopard and sometimes as much 3 times in one day. Disk utility was no help(disk was fine) repaired permissions, reset pRAM even reinstalled LEopard but still same thing. The report always says this:*

As far as I can understand some problems in the kernel with IP routing, which is pretty annoying. Interesting to mention the crashes only happen if I use some p2p software such as azureus or joost. Anybody else experiencing such an issue?

Background Noise (Crowd chatter) cleanup--need help!

I was at a heavily-populated event recently with my talent wearing a wireless mic. The mic picked up my talent's voice just fine, but unfortunately also picked up a ton of extra chatter from the crowd surrounding us. I believe this was my fault, as I accidentally turned up the mic's "volume" too high on the camera itself. Since the issue is not just a matter of separating my audio channels in Premiere Pro, I have no choice but to bring the audio into audition and try to eliminate basically everything but my talent's voice from one audio track. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this? The only tutorials I've seen so far just describe how to get rid of random noises like sirens or something. Thanks in advance!

First off, if you just had the one mic, it would have picked up the same relative levels of noise whatever the settings. Your problem is that wherever you put the mic, it wasn't close enough to the talent's mouth; you needed more of the talent and less of the crowd, and that can only be fixed by positioning the mic correctly, or using possibly a more appropriate one. Yes there are some; a typical headset mic of the type actors use will work a lot better, because it can be positioned much closer to the mouth, and is still not visually that disturbing.

Noise reduction works best on continuous, fixed-spectrum noise like fans, etc. And unfortunately, that's just the opposite of chatter. Your problem is that you want to reduce something that has the same spectrum and qualities of that which you want to keep. Do you see the problem? How you gonna distinguish? It's relatively easy to paint out sirens, etc because they are short sounds and have a spectrum that is easily distinguished visually - so it's easy to 'paint' them out, the same way you might with a blemish on a photograph using Photoshop. And that's why they're used as demonstrations - they work well! The reason that you won't find a demo of what you're trying to do is basically, well, because it's not possible; CSI isn't real, however convincing it seems.
If the talent's a little louder than the surrounding chatter, then you might get away with a little downward expansion, but generally this sounds weird and isn't easy to set up effectively either. Okay, we haven't heard a sample but if it's the way I think it is, I'm afraid you don't stand much of a chance of making any significant improvements at all.

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.

Need help in installing Snow Leopard without DVD drive

Hi,
I have a White Macbook 2008 model with 2.1 ghz processor and 1 GB Ram. The dvd rom is not working in my machine. It spits out the dvd's 99 out of 100 times.
I need to upgrade from 10.5.8 to 10.6. Apple has sent me a single disk to install snow leopard.
I am not willing to invest in new dvd drive either internal or external. Needed help on ways to install snow leopard please apart from using the dvd option.
I do have a Firewire 400 cable but i do not know anybody anymore who has a mac machine with 400 port.
Hence the cable is also useless and i cannot connect to anyother macbook and do the install using their drive.
Please suggest.

There are no direct options. Find a friend with a Mac that has a working optical drive. Buy an 8GB USB flash drive. Partition and format it for the Mac then clone the mounted DVD to the flash drive. Take it back to your computer and boot from the flash drive.
Boot Using OPTION key:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select the disk icon for the flash drive.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.

i have a backup with mountain lion, and i also have a backup from snow leopard,(my goal is to restore my latest backup from mountain lion to snow leopard)
i have backed up my files using time machine AND justcloud

Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

Need Help Removing Background

I need help removing a background from a picture. My boss wants some t-shirts made but the only image I have is one with a tie-dye background and I need it to just be the black and white that is on the image. I have been trying for 2 weeks to do this and I can get real close but it leaves the colors around the edges and I need this gone. Any ideas? Anyone that can help me out? I have the original photo and the one with almost everything removed if someone can help me fine tune the rest that would be great.

You've done all the hard work and are almost there!
Starting with your b/w rendition, duplicate the background layer, and shut off the visibility of the background layer. Work on background copy layer
Go to Enhance menu>convert to black and white>vivid landscape style
Open a blank layer between the background and background copy layers and fill this layer with white
Make the background copy layer active and use the eraser tool to clean up a few smudges on the background copy layer
Open a blank layer at the top of the stack, and press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E to create a stamp visible layer
With the rectangular marquee tool, make a rectangular block selection of "DRIVE-IN THEATRE" and place this on its own layer (CTRL+J). Make the blending mode multiply, then duplicate this layer 3-4 times.
For the text on the bottom, suggest that you erase this and replace the information with the type tool.

Have you looked at your page with images disabled?
I urge you to re-think this approach to web design because images of text are not indexed by search engines, screen readers or translators. Given the demographic group your site is targeting, you really need to ensure maximum web accessibility for all users.
Navigation, headings and descriptions all need to be in real text -- not images of text.
Ken is right. Absolute positioning is pure poison for such a simple layout. My advice is to start over with one of the pre-built Starter Pages in DW. Go to File > New > Blank page > HTML. Select a layout from the 3rd column and hit CREATE button.

I am in the process of designing a new website for myself,

one thing I need help with is backgrounds. as you can see in
the posted website, the creator used a seamlessly tiled paper
texture to display the bulk of his content on. also make not of the
pattern that is located to the left of the paper texture. how do I
create seamless backgrounds like this that will scale to fit any
amount of content or any resolution? I can't imagine that the guy
that made that site created a new size background every time he
made an update, so there has to be an easier way.
the second thing that I am having trouble with is general
site layout. I have read that most sites used series of invisible
tables to organize there content, but when I open the source of
this page in dreamweaver, he was using something different. div
tags? should I be using these? who do I use them? are there any
general layout tips that someone could pass on to me? perhaps a
link to a good tutorial?
please help me. i am very confused.

Need help installing Snow Leopard.

Need help installing Snow Leopard on a 2009 iMac. Hard drive is only choice for location and message says hard drive can't be used because it is used for Time Machine backups. Ultimate goal is to upgrade to OS 10.6.8.

Check to see if you have a file called backup.backupdb
If you do that means at some time in the past Time Machine was configure to backup to that drive
If that is not where you want your backup to to go, and it should not be stored there any way, then delete it and the install should work then.

You need to purchase the upgrade disk (it is a DVD). Then just put it in and run the installer. When it was first released it was $29 USD, do not know if the price has changed or not.
The usual precautions about backing up your data apply. In fact I would recommend either making a Disk Image of your current boot drive or using something like Carbon Copy Cloner to copy it to an external drive. I upgraded 5 machines from Leopard to Snow Leopard without any issues, but better to be safe than sorry.

First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.

Best Buy (only local option) has only a VGA / USB from iogear that scroll lock doesn't work on the Mac and low and behold I'm a d.a. and didn't notice VGA, ie: want/need DVI.
I don't game on my Mac or do high-end video editing but don't want to step down the video quality too much.
