Clearing call logs

I just recently switched to a Blackberry Curve 8330.  I want to be able to clear my call log but seem to have to do it one call at a time.  How can I clear the entire log at once?

Thanks for the help!!!  It works great!!!  I had to change my options so that my call logs went to my messages as I had that set so none went to the messages.

How do you clear call log without deleting contacts of people you called or you called? On the Droid 2 it says clear but now I have Fasinate and I only saw delete so I clicked delete and it deleted the contacts. Is there a way to clear history of calls with out deleting the person?

Thanks I will look for that as like I said the Droid 2 gave option of clearing call log but what I see on Fasinate is just delete and it deleted contacts that I had called or called me. Thanks again and will check the preferences
fascinate got option delete, and yeah it deletes but not contacts... only your logs... your contacts are there intact in your contacts...

  • 8830 World Edition suddenly lost all mail from before yesterday and call log cleared

I have one our resident higher ups who have lost all there mail on there device. They are receiving mail now but anything befroe yesterday is gone. Also there call log has been cleared.
I have already deleted and reactivated them on our BES and that was no help.

For the end-user, s/he needs to clear up some memory on the device....
First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
Now, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot. What is the File Free now?

  • Call log keeps automatically clearing for 8130

My call log disappears automatically.  Sometimes 2 minutes after a call is logged.  How can I keep my call log until I decide to delete it?

You're facing memory constraints in your device. Perform the following steps -
Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30sec.
Check how much memory is free in your device to Options -> Status -> Free Memory. To view all the database size go to Option -> Status -> click Menu button then select Database Sizes
Delete less frequently used application. To delete go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete -> click Menu and select Delete
If you stored your picture in device memory them move them to your media card
For details check knowledge Base KB11570.

  • Corruption in Messages/Call Logs. Can't delete, or...

Just recently, for no apparent reason, I have had some serious problems with my N900!
When I try to send/receive a message, it comes up with an error every 30secs -
"Unable to send/receive messages. Device storage full. Free user space."
However, device storage is NOT full. Rootfs is at 76%.
I have two corrupt messages in Conversations, which cannot be deleted. Pressing Delete or Clear Conversation simply does nothing. I also have about 4 calls in recent calls which do not delete. I belive the database is corrupted, and this is causing the problem.
I CANNOT re-flash at the moment, my USB port is broken. However, I can change anything through SSH or xTerm.
Is it possible to simply navigate to the Conversations/Call Logs files through SSH, and delete them, or replace them with virgin ones, to fix this issue??

OUCH! at the USB.  i would send it back for that alone.
    but back to the firmware.
if that is the case, i would try to sync with Outlook via bluetooth to get your contacts and notes, webpages saved, but the hard part is the firware cleanboot.
wihtoue the usb, i am not sure at the moment how to reflash the unit.
when you backed up the unit, it backed up the coruption, so that will do you no good.  you will need to start over.
as soon as you can get this rebooted, i would create a back up to restore to forfuturre reference.

  • Call logs disappearing

My call log is set to record "all calls" .  For some reason the log is occasionally wiped clean.  Info on the phone says these calls are supposed to stay recorded for 30 days.  Any ideas as to what is happening?

    Hi,
You have low free memory left on your device. .
Do you have a lot of third party applications on your BB weather, icall, bbalerts etc?
I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
    know if this applies.
Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory. See if you have the following option:
Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.
you will have an icon on you screen for memory cleaning make sure you press it. Make sure you use the CLOSE button each time you are done with an application.

If you follow these steps listed above in the link and keep up with your memory your phone will operate smoothly.
Please let us know if you need help with any of the steps.
    Thanks
To check where your media files are on the device, go to media menu key explore  you should see media card and device memory.
Click on meda card and keep drilling down to see your media files. Then select device memory and do the same. If you find media in
device memory, move them to the media card.

  • Clearing phone log

How do you clear the phone log on the z10?

  • Call log entry deleting shows error "invalid selec...

there are three entries in my nokia c3 call log when i delet them the error comes "invalid selection". i had cleared all logs but they still exists. i had reset my phone but still these entries exists in my call log. how can i delet these entries from my call log. and these contact entries are now not in my contact list. but there name exist in my call log without their number and date and call duration.

I get the same message with various JRE versions (1.3.1 Blackdown, 1.3.1 Oracle, 1.1.8 Oracle).
DBCA seems to die in line 124 (with the progress bar at 19%) where it uses oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca -> maybe this one is corrupt or wrong/outdated. Maybe it would be possible to save the database generation script (like in 8.x) as a batch and then run it manually without using Java-based tools. But: where do I generate this batchfile - dbca only seems to save a XML configuration file.
Thanks for any hints. Michael At least for the lat part of my question I found an answer: the option for writing a script with the DB geneation statements is not available for the 'General Purpose' DB. When selecting 'New database' it seems to work fine.

  • C3-01detailed call log

Kudos to you guys at nokia. You are really doing a great job especially with the feature phones. However some basic, yet much needed  features seems to be missing and this is quite relevant to most, if not all of  us. Like a detailed call log which saves more than 1 entry for a dialed, missed or received call. My sister has a C5-00 and my mum just got a C3-01, but the C3-01's call log saves only the last entry. Let's say u have 3 missed calls from 1 number, u can view the time of  only the very last missed,u just can't tell when the others missed calls from that particular number came in. Which is quite different with the C5, which has unlimited entries for a missed, dialed or received call. With the c5 if u call a particular number 20 times it saves all that information for you. Is there a way to fix this or include it in your next upgrade. Its quite useful and its even available on many cheaper and entry level nokia phones.

what i did is try to call the numbers in my log that have invalid selection over and over, before it connects i cancel it and call it again.. and after 10 calls or so i went to contacts>log.clear log lists>all call lists.. unfortunately i still have 1 invalid entry left.. but it did help.. just repeat the steps and eventually the log will clear.. if it doesnt work, delete the entry form contacts and call the entry from the log and do it over and over again then clear log... it worked for me.. i'm using nokia c3-00 ver 7.20

  • Solved - Call Logs stopped saving

    Hi all,
Is there a limit of how many calls appear in the call log?  I've received calls since yesterday, but no calls appear in the call log since yesterday.
I have reset, but no more appear.
If there is a limit, I am happy to delete them, but if not, I don't want to waste them without reason.
    Thank you!
