Clearing history list makes Compressor crash

Selecting all your completed jobs (Shift-Down Arrow or Cmd-A or drag with the mouse) in the History window, and then hitting the Delete key, makes Compressor crash. As far as I can remember it is when jobs are split amongst multiple days. But I am not 100% sure.
My setup is iMac i7, OSX 10.6.2, Compressor 3.5.1 (FCS3)
I'd be interested to know if someone else can replicate this.

That explains why I am no longer able to clear the recent history list...
I understand that removing/deleting the files from my device will remove the files from my list. However this in not ideal for me, as I would like to be able to go back and look at the papers that I have previously read and then be able to clear the recent list. Also, if I can clear the list without removing the files from my device, I can keep track of what I have recently read, and move those files into a second folder on my device to say that I have read the papers at least once. That way I would still have the papers on my device but can clear the list and know that I have read the papers. Thus I really would like a way to clear your history from the recents list, ideally with the option of clearing individual files from the list, as well as a second option to clear all files from the recent list, while retaining the original files on the device.

If you want to clear history go to Settings-->Tools-->Privacy-->Clear Data and now choose what you would like to remove.

I found the reason why our iPads are slow after iOS 5!!!!!!!
What you need to do is this:
1) launch settings, go to mail contacts and calendars, go to fetch new data, advanced, and set iCloud to fetch.
2) go back and set an interval of when to fetch. Mine is set for thirty minutes.
3) make sure on top push is still on, that means that all your emails will still be pushed, but all the iCloud sync (contacts, calendars, reminders, bookmarks) will happen at the interval you choose.
Restart the device. Your performance should be 10x faster! No more keyboard lag, nothing! Doing this puts less stress on the A4 chip, which we know we need every bit we can get with it now!!!
Optional:
1) in the settings, go to safari.
2) clear all history and cookies/data
3) enable private browsing. One of the biggest reasons why devices are slow is because it keeps all the history and cookies in the RAM. You need more RAM to make things faster. By turning on private browsing, it never records it!

Why do bookmarks appear in my history box, after I have cleared history?

I'm using XP, did an automatic Firefox update yesterday, which apparently gave me 6.0. Today, after clearing history, noticed that a random selection of about a dozen of my bookmarks shows up in the history box. I don't know that it does any harm there, but I'm baffled.

I'l try to explain again. My addressbar is set to show only 10 addresses when i click the down arrow. It doesn't have anything to do when i type a letter in it. Now, this 10 addresses should be either typed or pasted, not bookmarks that i have clicked. And they are usually typed addresses, when i click a bookmark it doesn't appear in the addressbar drop-down list, except for the sites that i mentioned previously.
I think his will make it more understandable. Lets say i've typed 10 addresses and they appear in the addressbar drop-down list.

These are all typed adresses. Now when i click some bookmark the dropdown stay the same, but when i click the youtube site bookmark it replaces the www.x10.com site and takes it's place. Only few bookmarks behave this way.

Can no longer go to a website in history list by clicking on the "go to" arrow.

All of a sudden I can no longer go to a web site from my recent history list or to a web site pasted into the location bar. When I click on the green arrow box at the end of the location bar nothing happens.

Make sure you have the latest iTunes version installed and hopefully you have the most recent backup of your iPhone. Do a DFU restore. While it's plugged in to your computer, press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together until the screen is off. When the screen's off, release only the Sleep/Wake button and keep holding down the Home button. Wait until you see in iTunes on your computer to show that it detected it in recovery mode. When it does, proceed with the restore. It will be restored and updated to the latest iOS 7.0.2. If you have a backup, restore from that backup once iOS 7.0.2 is successfully installed on your iPhone.
If your iPhone still won't activate, I agree with gail, you will have to get in touch with that developer.

I am unable to clear history in iOS8

I'm trying to clear history in Safari in iOS8 On my iPad, and the button just stays grayed out forever, never returning to blue. Is there a way to make sure it's actually working and is not just freezing?

Did you check to see if there is any history in Safari? Maybe it has been cleared already.

Having trouble connect consistantly with websites, clear history then it works and an hour later, need to do the same thing (clear history to connect)

Just purchased new laptop with Windows 8, loaded firefox for browser as have always used in other computers. Am having trouble accessing websites, for example when I go to my gmail gmail.com, an error comes up that it can't access the website, check connections. But if I go and clear history, includidng the cache, then close Firefox and reopen and then try it works. Then I'll move onto other things and go back and it still works. Not sure what is the trigger, but when I try to go back to my gmail for example.(as it happens on other sites as well, my banking, my facebook, etc) I get that error again, I then have to again clear history,...then everything works!!! Thumbnail adresses, and website icons are not being deleted when I clear history and cache, how do I delete these?

I am trying to delete the icons that websites use which are located in the user file of appdata/local/mozilla,
and the website adresses that are located at the bottom of the thumbnails when opening a new tab. clearing data deletes the actual thumbnails, however the adresses are still located below where the thumbnails would be. I have tried clearing history with everything checked, and all history selected to be cleared, and also deleted the cache and cookies. what can I do to delete these things? Thanks
