Clearing my credit file

Hi.
I'm trying to clear an entry by BT on my credit file from 2009. It was put in error that BT made but didn't show up on earlier checks.
I have spoken to Equifax and they said I should contact BT about removing the entry but I can't find any direct contact numbers or emails to get someone to do this quickly.
The entry will come off in September but I really can't wait that long.
Is there a contact or email address where I can go to and get them to check their notes and see it was in error and have it removed, or if they do think it should be there how I can pay it ans have the entry taken off immediately.

AP-Credit Memo-Clear Vendor/Credit Memo

Hi all, I am facing Problem during Vendor Credit memo, Clear it (F-44), and Manual Check using F-58
Can I have different Due date For Vendor Credit memo , as I can see we have different Payment terms in Master data but whenever I post it gives the Due date as Immediate but if I see Open item report it says not Due and shows the Payment terms and the net due dates. Is this Normal?
I would like to clear the credit memo using the F-44 with reference to another open line item but system says Difference is too large for clearing.
The third thing I am trying to issue manual check I gave details, as per "J03_AP_CreditMemo_BPP_EN_US", when I hit Process open Items "system is not allowing to post document getting error "Select a valid function"".
Any Ideas How to deal with the above 3 situations?

To answer few queries,
Data can be entered in the field for the terms of payment key in various ways as you enter a business transaction:
In most business transactions, the system defaults the key specified in the master record of the customer/vendor in question.
In some transactions (for example, credit memos), however, the system does not default the key from the master record. Despite this, you can use the key from the customer/vendor master record by entering "*" in the field.
Regardless of whether or not a key is defaulted from the master record, you can manually enter a key during document entry at:
item level in sales orders header level in purchase orders and invoices
F-44--clearing problem
If the amount of open item is not equal to clearing amount you enter and the difference is not with in the tolerance limit you specify in the configuration, you will face this error. If the whole amount of open item need not be cleared, then try partial payment/residual payment options.
The third situation I am not clear.

Dear Srikanth,
Can you be more elaborate. If you are trying to clear the EURO account in your local currency, if system issues error message, then in OBY6, select check box no diff in forex when clearing in local currency.
If this is not the issue, please elaborate in detail.

Clearing InDesign Preference files?

I work at a school. Recently we have had trouble with InDesign (CS2) documents becoming corrupted, and causing InDesign to crash on launch. I have found the relavent knowledgebase article, but I have a few questions about it, Link:

The second article says that frequent document corruption is often caused by bad preference files. It says the preference files can be found at this path-name for Windows Vista/7:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version [version]\Caches\InDesignSavedData
However, on our machines, there is no "Cache" folder within the "Version 4.0" folder. Should I just delete/rename all of the files in the "Version 4.0" folder? Also, the same article states that the preference files can be cleared by holding Ctrl-Alt-Shift while InDesign starts? Does anyone know if this clears the preference files for all users, or just the current user?

Yeah, I am aware of that. Unfortunately, the teacher can't get the school to approve the budget for upgrading to CS5. So, I am trying to do the best I can, and keep CS2 running as well as possible on Win7. I was just hired as an IT guy a few monthes ago. Personally, if I were here when they bought those computers this fall, I would not have advised them to purchase Windows 7 machines, unless they agreed to upgrade to CS5. Hopefully I can get a CS5 upgrade into the tech budget for next year.
This is actually the first major issue they've had with CS2 on windows 7 though. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!

Clearing customer credit memo

Hi All,
I have an issue regarding customer open item. We have the following documents created.
1) Invoice created to the Customer in one company code
2) Payment has been received by the customer in one company code, and the invoice and the payment got cleared by the lockbox processing in the same company code, so the accounting document for the invoice is in u201CClearedu201D Status.
3) Now later on they came to know that this has to be posted in another company code, so they tried to cancel this using a credit memo against the invoice created in Step 1
But the question here is, the accounting document created for this company code is in u201CNot clearedu201D status. As the invoice is cleared by the payment, how can I clear this credit memo? Because this is an internal mistake, actually customer paid what he has to pay. But here they created the invoice in one company instead of another company code. Please help

If you have different document type and different number ranges for credit notes and payments, restrict the selection by document number ranges e.g from 1900001 to 1999999.

Default charge on credit file from 2007

After recently being refused a loan i asked why,only to be told there was a default payment on my record.Upon viewing Equifax the only red flag was related to BT MOBILITY for £30 .going back to May 2007.Having never had a BT account of any kind it transpired that i was sent a SIM card in May 2004 to accompany a mobile i had returned( did not ask for the phone).Despite spending nearly 9 hours on the fone to various departments so far this week ,including the debt recovery company who work for Bt no one can find this account to pay this bill to get the debt removed.Believe me i have tried having spoken to people ranging from the Uk to the Phillipines( credit reference dept)It has now come to light that there was never a bill to pay.This however does not get rid of the default notice.Any advice please as the situation is becoming ridiculous.Need the loan to sustain my small business

I think you need urgent action from BT to correct your credit file. Send the details to the BT Care Team straight away. They are the moderators who oversee this forum and should be able to get you in contact with the appropriate department. They can take a few days to respond but I'm flagging this thread for their attention.

Clearing Open Credit Memos with FINSTA01 - LOCKBX idoc

Hello,
Has anyone been able to clear both invoices and credit memos with a LOCKBX idoc? We have successfully cleared open invoices but when trying to clear open credit memos the payments are still posting as attempting to clear invoices no matter how we alter the signs, etc.

The LOCKBX idoc was our first attempt and we are now looking at REMADV or CREADV. Either way the business scenario is that we have open invoices and credit memos on a customer account. A third party is sending us a detail of items from the account that have been paid and we are attempting to clear these items off of AR. Has anyone found the best way to do this and get both the invoices and credit memos to clear via idoc?

How to clear the cache files in folder Temporary Internet Files

When one user opens files such as pdf. or doc. from Portal, the same file will be downloaded into the Temporary Internet Files folder. if another user copied the files out of the Temporary Internet Files folder from this computer and save to someplace else, then we face one security problem.
So my question is: How to clear the cache files in folder Temporary Internet Files?? Can we delete the files automatically when close the files in Portal??
or is there some ways to make encrypty???

Hello,
this is a basical security problem which should be resolved by the OS standard security setup . No other user should have access to the temporary file folders in the personal directory. The user account must be secure. Normaly your security problem should not be a problem if basic security exists on the clients.
You can resolve this problem if every user has his own account on the client
The users having no administration permissions on the clients
The folder for the temporary internet files is placed in the personal profile folder of the user account.
On default no other user has access rights to you personal folder, this means the client OS is setup correctly.
You can setup the IE that no temporary files are saved (but it reduces performance)
You can enable IE to delete automaticly the temporary files if IE is closed.

Weblogic server 9.2 How to clear up JMS file store messages

We are facong one issue in our weblogic production environment. The JMS file store size has become 7.2 G and its eatimg up almost all the server space. I have cheked through the jms module queues/ topics to see that if any messages are pending anywhere but nothing signifficant I can find out. Now our requirement is to clear up the file store the freeup the server space.
Could you please recommend how to do that in the backend.

Hi Rahul,
Store files grow to fit all current stored objects, but, as stored objects are deleted, the freed space is re-used for new persistent objects. It's possible your store grew to an unprecedented size because it was temporarily forced to store many objects - in which case you can shrink the file store using the store compression tool described by the other poster.
On the other hand, in almost all cases, unexpectedly large backlogs are generated due to either (A) an accumulation of a backlog of unprocessed messages, or (B) a bug in an application that processes received messages but never acknowledges them, such as may happen when an application creates a durable subscription on a topic but fails to service the subscription.
I recommend (again) checking your 'current' and 'pending' message statistics for each and every JMS Server, SAF Agent, and destination that the store hosts. You can also check your store statistics to see which 'connections' are developing a large accumulation of objects.

Clearing the arp file

I just replaced two servers which were behind the CSS LAN with two brand new ones. The old servers were never actually in use, but services and content rules were created.
I entered the same private IP addresses for the new servers, 192.168.1.11 and *.12, but the CSS and the servers can't see each other, and when I look in the ARP table, I see that both IP addresses has the MAC addresses of the old servers which I assume is why (the servers can see any other server on the CSS LAN).
I can't get rid of them by typing clear arp cache <ip address>, and I see that these entries are also in the arp file.
The CSS has been rebooted in the meantime and it's actually close to two months ago since I disconnected the old servers from the network, so I cannot figure out why these entries stay.
Question is, will clear arp file get rid of these entries? If I clear the arp file (as far as I can see from the documentation I can't clear single entries in the arp file), will this disturb connectivity and services to other boxes?

I'll go ahead and explain it since you said the link wasn't working for you:
1. Open up Firefox. In the upper left hand corner, click the orange Firefox button.
2. Inside the menu that drops down, click on Options, then go to the "Advanced" tab in the upper right hand corner of that smaller window.
3. Inside that window, you should see some smaller tabs, one will be "General" another "network" etc. Click Network.
4. Inside the Network tab, under "Cached Page Content" click the "Clear Now" button. That will remove the cache (which is the same as temporary internet files in Internet Explorer).
Let me know if that helps you out.
