Clearing old data

When swiping right and bringing up iPhone's 'Seach' facility I've noticed that some results bring up old iMessage conversations that have since been long deleted.
Is there some sort of data cache I can clear to stop these results showing?
I've also noticed it displays contacts that have also been deleted. Why is this??

How to clear old data?

Greetings,
My first question: how do I locate and clear out old, unnecessary files and folders? I'm thinking about browser cookies, temp files, etc.
Second question: is this even necessary on a Mac? I just switched from PC recently, and I am still trying to learn the Mac way. I know that with a Windows PC it is CRUCIAL to clear out cookies, the "temp" folder, and various other folders from time to time, because Windows constantly saves things you don't need. I just freed up 5GB on my work PC by cleaning it up in this fashion.
So: is this kind of "maintenance" necessary on a Mac, and if so how do I do it?

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
As long as you don't have a USB connection in tandem with a UPS, which can cause problems. If so, disconnect it first.
The other thing is to have a Cloned backup, Get carbon copy cloner to make an exact copy of your old HD to the New one...

Clearing old data from CO1P

Historically this has not been checked in all our locations and as such over the years quite a few entries have appeared here and never been processed (some back to 2006) and as they are previous periods / financial years, cannot be processed now.
Is there a way to archive / delete these? as otherwise they'll be there forever!

ICloud storage space used up by old data from 1st gen iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. Can't backup any info for mini or new 6 plus. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

My iCoud storage space is being used up by old data from a 1st generation iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. The people at the sprint store where I made my trade were supposed to transfer everything over from my old iPad to the new Mini once they backed up the old device to iCloud. Well, long story short, none of the data ever got transferred to the new iPad, but it all got backed to iCloud, eating up all my storage space. Here I am almost 2 years later, and I've never been able to back-up my iPad mini. What's worse, My iPhone 4 wasn't backed up that whole time, and now I can't back-up my data from my new iPhone 6 Plus to iCloud either. Trying to find creative ways to store and save my information and data between all my devices is getting to be ridiculous. I don't want to upgrade my storage space though...just want to clear out a great deal of what is already being stored. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

The only way to access data from an iCloud backup is to restore it to your device. You could, for example, back up your iPad mini to your computer using iTunes (by connecting it, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up and choosing to back up apps and transfer purchases when prompted), then erase it and restore the old iPad backup (as explained here: iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud), save any recovered data you want to keep, then restore your iTunes backup back to your iPad mini (by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup).
Once you're done with the old backup, delete it from your account to free up the space.

Before archiving you have to put the Deletion flag for the object(May be for PO, MMR etc as per your req.)...
After that the you use the archiving procedure to archive the docs which are already flagged for deletion...
For MMR you use the transaction SARA...and its respective object for the archiving....
You can use the SDN search to see the many threads on it...

Problem clearing the cursor index palette from old data!!

Hi all, I got this attached vi, witch plots data form a file, with some tests. But i got this problem that every time i read a new data file , the old data still stays in the index pallette. I've tried to feed the csrList with empty data cluster but it didn't work.
I couldn't find a property node for cearing the Cursor List. Does anyone have a suggestion how to tackle that. Cursor Nr. 0 , must not be owerwritten, its maintaned as the point cursor to go thrue the graph samples.!

the first time the vi runs and finds relevant data, the cursor list grows to accept the new data dependent cursors.
I changed the vi in such a way to extract the first cursor from the list (the one you want to keep), create an array with this cursor as the only element and then feed the array (the new starting cursor list) to the shift register. In the loop, your vi adds all new data dependent cursors.

CUBE IS NOT CLEARING THE DATA ON CONDITIONAL SCRIPT(ISSUE WITH NULLIFICATIO

I am using AWM 10.2.0.2.0A and database is 10g Release 2 to build a cube.
Before the monthly incremental load I need to clear the old data.
For clearing(Nullifying) the cube I am using the new "Clear" command.
The Clear command has two options.
A) clear all the data without using any limits and
B) clear the current status. The option A is working perfectly fine. The issue
is when we need to clear only two months of data from the cube and I am using
Clear STATUS (option B )option.
After the execution data is not cleared (cube
is still showing the old data)

I have question.
I saw your program and my program whatever I submit in the discussion earlier.
I also using JUNK=1 keyword in my program . The only difference in your program and my program is
I am declare and assign JUNK=1 after the upd and commit ,In your program its immediately you are decalring and assing JUNK=1 after the clear status and two times JUNK=1 is assigned.
Please clarify me is this will make any difference to giving the JUNK=1 immediately after clear status and after clear status,up,command....??

GRIR Clearing (old items)

Dear all,
could someone make a suggestion on how to clear open items on the GRIR account that are over 6 months old. MR11 is run on a monthly basis, yet I have some open items in my reconciliation dating back until 2003. I would like to get rid of them but are not able to make manual postings on the GRIR account.

It is not recommended to post manually on GR IR account.
You should try to clear this difference with MR11, it is possible to clear old items with the current date.

if you need a subset of rows you can add a where clause.

Content Rendered from UCM after updation returns old data

The requirement that i have in place is as below:
1. Portal application should have an option to display content from UCM(Content here is just the metadata like title, description, etc of the content)
2. The application should also have options for adding, updating and deleting the content.
3. The updates should immediately reflect on the display.
I am achieving the above using RIDC apis, not using OOTB task flows.
But the issue that am facing here is that after performing any of add,update or delete the results fetched are still the older ones. There fore my display screen still shows old data.
And one observation is that the updates are reflected only when i send a new browser request.
I have tried refreshing, clearing browser cache, but nothing seems to work. Not sure if the content is being cached on the UCM server itself.
If so how do i clear it?
I am using GET_SEARCH_RESULTS to fetch the data and display.
And i am using PS4 version of webcenter.
I really need some help on this ASAP as it is in a critical state or any work around please.

Clear ALV Data

Hi All,
I am very new to Webdynpro (ABAP) and have run into an issue, I have a main screen from which I am calling the ALV report screen. First time data coming fine, but when I go back and change the selection parameters and then execute the report again I am still getting the old data. If I run the same report, for the first time with the new parameters then also the data comes fine. Basically the issue seems to be clearing the Context node which provides data to the alv.
If I use the invalidate() on the outbound plug of alv report, it clears the data but doesn't bring the data next time.
Kindly let me know how should I do this, if you can provide some code that will be great.

the problem is right here....
The WDDOINIT method runs only once....when you run your application....just move this FM call into your action button code....which your press to fire the plug to your result button...
so something like this:
your action method() for the button
your FM call to get data
than fire the plug to the result view....
end of your action method....
that is all...

JSF - How to Clear Form Data

I have a form.
Scenario-1:
Users input data into the form. After I successfully consume and process data, when I click back the HyperLink to the Form - say "Register" - the Register Form still contains the very same input of the previous user. And this happens to all Forms that I have in the Application.
Scenario-2:
I return String "success" after processing the Register Form, and I navigate back to the same "Register" Form. Here again, the Register Form contains the old data.
I have the bean scope set to "session". I cannot set the scope to "request" since I consume data across beans.
Can someone help me how to clear the [old] data in the forms once I consume the data?

Stock app (builtin) - no way to update graphs (they show old data)

Even if I exit and enter again form the app, switch graph View (from 1day to 1month) some graphs always shows OLD data (even a month or so).. even if it seems it download data from the network..
It doesn't happens with ALL the stock quotes.. and it doesn't happen with the %, Price or Capit... it only happens with the graphs..
