Clearing out the Cache

I have been working on a huge project where I needed to export everything to the client from XDCam EX1 to a Standard Def 16x9 timecoded stock demo reel. Now my computer is saying it is running low on space on the C: drive when the project is not on the C: drive. I found GIGS of data hidden in a Cache directory and I'm trying to find out how to delete the cache files without just going in and deleteing the directory. Is there a setting in Adobe to clear out the old cache files?

I used LiveCycle to create a pdf for use with our helpdesk. The document went through 7 revisions and is finally ready for release. However, during the course of creating and testing the document I had entered dummy information in the fields. Now when I open the finalized document with Acrobat, the dummy information starts popping up after you start entering letters. Like an internet browser will do when you start typing in a web address, it is trying to guess what you want to type in based on your previous history. I need to delete this information before I send out the finished document. How can I clear this information from my pdf?

Unable to clear out the stock in SAP

Need your help. I have an issue, my user wants to clear out the stock in SAP because they are the old stock and there's no stock in actual warehouse for those materials actually. it is just in the system taht showing those materials have stock in warehouse. but however, she's unable to clear out the stock. So when i check in the system, the materials are batch managed and still have open POs dated on 2003 which has already old. Is it the reason why she can't clear the stock? Do i need to ask her to off the batch management for those materials,then delete the POs and then only she able to clear the stock? Please advise on the solution..

Settings > wi-fi then tap on the little blue arrow next to the network you want to change. You have to tap on the blue arrow and not on the name.
Now at the top tap on "forget this network".
After that, the iPhone will think your home network is a new network and will ask you for the password to connect.

How do I add a number from one field to another then clear out the first field

In a form I am creating I have a field or a series of fields that have variable numbers in them. I would like to create another set of fields that when I click on a button (or some other method) will add whatever number is placed in another field to that first field.
For example:
Text1a is normally a variable field. I have another field (text2a) that I input another number into. I normally add these two numbers together manually and the total replaces what was in Text1a.
Text1a = 4, I enter in a 2 in Text2a, so now Text1a will become a 6. I would like to have it so that when I click on a button it automatically adds the two numbers together and then replaces the current number in Text1a with the new total and also clears out the number in Text2a.
Note: Text1a and Text2a are columns where the next filed down is Text1b and Text2b and so on.
Can someone please help me on this?

Want to clear out the phone to sell

Just went with another wireless provider for my new Palm Centro, so my Treo 700p with Verizon is no longer useful. I have someone who is interested in buying it from me. Should I do a hard reset to clear out the phone so that she can start from scratch, or can I just somehow clear out the calendar, documents, contacts, etc. and leave the software in place? We're in real estate and use third party lockbox software, some mapping programs, etc. and I'd like to leave that kind of stuff in the phone so she doesn't have to put it all back on. Suggestions?

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. Short of a hard reset the only way to delete your calendar, contacts etc and leave 3rd party programs would be 1 item at a time which I'm sure would be very inconvient. I would recommend doing the hard reset, for instructions if needed go to kb.palm.com article id 887. Third party programs normally require a registration code and to pass yours on to someone else would be in violation of the licensing agreement for that software.

Unless the drive is in a format that isn't compatible with Time Machine, the files will not be overrwitten. However it is typically a better idea to keep your files and your backup separate, especially since files on the Time Machine drive will not be backed up by Time Machine.

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering difficulties in clearing the spool area for your printer. It is rather "windows-centric" language as Mike indicated. I believe that HP Support would have been referring to resetting your printing system and I have included a document on how to do that.
If you find after resetting your printing system that issue hasn't been corrected, please post some additional information and I would enjoy helping you resolve things. I would need to know what model/product number of HP Printer you have, the version of Mac you are running, how the printer is connected (wireless, USB) and the issue you have encountered.

Clearing up the cache for OracleConnectionCacheImpl

Hi,
I am using the OracleConnectionCacheImpl pool with the following settings:
cached = new OracleConnectionCacheImpl(getConnectionPoolDataSource(dataSourceBindName));
cached.setDescription(dataSourceBindName.toString());
cached.setCacheInactivityTimeout(1);
cached.setConnectionCleanupInterval(1);
I was not sure from the documentation if 1 is in millisecs, secs, mins, hours... so assumed it was minutes. Essentially I was the cache cleaned out of connections which have been inactive for a defined period of time.
Currently using the settings above in a test app I check out 5 connections from the pool and check them back in (close the logical Connection) shortly after. I then loop and every 25 seconds print out the size of the cache from getCacheSize(). As expected at first this is 5. After 1 minute I expected this to change to 0. it did not. In fact nothing changed for 15 minutes and at that point the cache size changed to -1.
Can anyone help explain how I can get the cache to reduce in size (close the inactive physical connections sooner) or if not why the cache size becomes -1 and not 0. After the cache size becomes -1 it does not change even when I check out new connections from the pool.

I just had the same problem. But clearing every type of caches on the client side did not help. Anyway I don't think this could help, because the localization is not done on the client side.
At the end the following steps helped:
- remove all the the properties from the bundle file
- save the bundles
- open the website showing the properties (now the keys are shown instead of the translations)
- add the properties again to the bundle file
- save the bundles
Afterwards the missing properties are shown correctly.

How do I clear out the measure data in a 10g cube?

Does anyone know of an OLAP feature that I could call to zero out the measures stored in the cube before I refresh from the source data?
I'm new to Oracle OLAP, but I have some experience with Essbase and I have quite a bit of experience with Oracle PL/SQL. The database is 10g.
Here's my problem. My dimensions and cube are mapped to Oracle tables. I've built an Oracle procedure, using DBMS_LOB / xml_clob functionality, to refresh my cube. The procedure worked successfully to initially load the data. It works successfully when changing the dollar amounts in source data. But it's possible that a record in my source data can be totally removed. When this happens, the dollars from the removed record are still showing up in the cube total after the procedure executes. I had assumed the CleanMeasures="true" parameter would take care of this, but it is not.

If you are doing a reload every time then you can issue following commands to clear data from cube.
lmt name to all
allstat
clear all from <cubename>prttopvar
You can wrap above commands in pl sql procedure using dbms_aw.execute package and execute it before cube load starts. Instead of clearing it from whole cube you can clear only from one partition also. Just take a look at clear command in olap DML 10.2 reference.

Clearing out the old iPhone

I want to clear out my 3G before activating my 4. If I "restore" my 3g and then connect to my 4 will I:
1) Clear out all of the data on the 3G and
2 Be able to download all of my data and apps and numbers to the 4

Sync your new Iphone4 with Itunes (do a restore to your new phone, it will ask) It will make your new Iphone 4 just like your 3G in regards to Pics, IPod, Content, Text Messages, mail, etc.
Then you will need to wipe your 3G manually by going into setting and selecting "reset phone"
I wouldn't reset your 3G first by any means, that's a good way to lose everything. Do it last after you make sure your Iphone4 is the way you like it.

Clear cache does not clear all the cache

Hi,
After clearing the cache, the browser assumes some of the files are still cached so it won't try to get the file from the server. This causes the website to hang as it does not timeout.
It does not always happen, for example in my machine is OK, but a colleague's machine has it consistently and other people too.
The only way that they could make it work is going to about:support and doing a reset.
The Troubleshooting Information I've added is from the problematic machine.

They use the built-in means to clear the cache.
Tried deleting the cache folder but it did not help.
Tried also deleting the profile folder contents and it did work. I guess that is similar to reset functionality.
Still, if clearing the cache folder worked would be a a workaround for us, as developers but not something we could ask from our customers.

Again, they are able to load it for the first time, but if they clear the cache, they cannot get the response from that url, in fact there is not even a request from the browser.

How can I clear out the "other" space on my startup disk?

My startup disk is full as well, but I am barely using any space on my computer at all for files. I have also only had this laptop for about 9 months. I have been emptying my trash, clearing my dowloads, deleting anything I can to get more space, but its not helping because I barely have anything left to delete. I just looked into my storage space following the Lion's Storage Display steps, and this is what it looks like.
I have no idea what to do, but I can barely use anything on my Macbook Pro without it telling me I'm out of space.

To figure out what is filling the disk, the pane with "other" on it is about worthless.
I find it much better to use OmniDiskSweeper instead. It will tell the the folders and files that are using the most disk space so that you can intelligently decide what is causing the problem.
