You cannot do that. What you can do is delete the request itself. In case the request is errored then goto RSA1 -> PSA -> find the request and delete.

MD04 overview tree problem

It does not matter if your MRP type is M0 or PD. You should be able to see the entire Order structure if you have the MRP element (planned order/ production order ) for that material.
If there is no such MRP element either due to no requirement ( sale order /dependent requiremnt) or Excess Stock (stock more than requirements) then you cannot see the Order Tree in the Overview screen. The Order tree will display only if there is a order( plan or production).

How to clear a tree at runtime when built via many different cursors?

I want to be able to clear an entire tree.
I have a tree that contains different levels of information about a client. At runtime I build my tree with the add_tree_node function using several different cursors. When the user queries a different client, I want to clear the tree and start over with node 1. Is there a way to clear the entire tree before I re-populate it, so that my nodes start afresh? Right now, I am deleting all the nodes from the tree before I start building the new tree. This, however, does not make my nodes start from 1. I would really like to be able to just clear the tree.

Clears out any data already in the hierarchical tree, and obtains the data set specified by the RecordGroup or QueryText properties.
Syntax
PROCEDURE POPULATE_TREE
(item_name VARCHAR2);
PROCEDURE POPULATE_TREE
(item_id ITEM);
Try making a record group with no nodes and populate the tree from that(using the above built-in).

Md04 not showing Overview tree

In my case MD04 is not showing the overview tree.
First case
For material x if i put Plant and MRP area same then its not showing the overview tree.
Second case
When i put MRP area (as per configuration ) and plant in this case it is showing the overview tree.
please suggest.

system is giving correct results,
if your order will show the tree in which mrp area it is.
now suppose you dont put any MRP area in the intial screen and put plant only. then system will consider that plant same as mrp area.
now if you put the the MRP area and the respective plant.
orders in that MRP area will be shown. and order is is only shown when there is pegged ordes to that order.
in your case there may not be dependant orders.
and you cant see the same orders in 2 cases you told.

Document overview tree in ML81N is blank

Hi All,
User has reported an issue that the document overview tree in ML81N is blank. It is not showing any recent POs. Is there any setting through which this tree can be populated? Or this is related to some authorization issue?

MD04/ MD4C-Overview Tree

HI,
Client has a requirement which goes as: There are BOMs with BOM usages 1,5 & R (R is copied from 1, used for lower components). Now in MD04/ MD4C, when we navigate to the Overview Tree, the client wants that only those users, can see the components (which have BOM usage R), who have the authorization for BOM usage R. The authorization object is there but it only restricts the users from change/ display of BOM.
How to make the lower components with usage R not visible for users not authorized to use BOM with usage R in MD04/ MD4C?
Please advice.

On the standard system, this is not possible. Transaction MD4C is builded based on the planned order dependent requirements (table RESB), not on the BOM itself. Therefore, there is no authority check for the BOM usage.

MD04 Overview Tree

Dear Gurus,
I have a stock transfer scenario in my project.My problem is in MD04 overview tree I see all the bom items of stock transfer components of issuing plant.Please tell is this standard and how we will restrict to users in receiving Plant.I have given authorizaton for the T-Code in receiveing plant but still by mistake user can change the MRP element of issuing Plant in MD04.Is there any setting so that the MRP element of issuing plant in receiving plant will be kept for display only.Means the MRP element cannot b converted to prod order or purchase order in reciving plant.Hope u get my question.Waiting for ur reply.

Hi,
You have to maintain roles for creating/changing each MRP element on the basis of plant or order type whichever parameter possible. Do not think of restricting in t-code MD04, but organize authorities for each MRP element one by one and create different roles for the people in different plants.

MD04 Overview tree issue question

Good evening,
I have an issue where my overtree in MD04 is going a bit funny.
I explode the selected order and it displays all the lower level (as you would expect) but for the Semi Fin (sub assembly) I am get 2 or 3 entries for the Semi Fin items!!
Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how I can correct it?

Please check stock requirement list of the semi-finished( sub-assembly) itself.
Check how many dependent requirements are generated which are pegged for the finished good which is in question, if there are multiple dependent requirement for the same finished good, then you are expected to see as many number of segments for the SFG in order tree report.

Wall Mount for a 23" (Clear enclosure) Apple LCD Monitor

I've been scouring the net, looking for wall/desk mounting options (like an articulated arm, or even a bracket just to mount it to the wall) for my 23" Apple cinema - NOT THE NEW METAL ONE - the older, clear plastic enclosure type...
The only thing I can find is like $350! Is there anything cheaper out there? I've found the articulating arms, but nothing that mounts to the wall. (Except for Marathon - which is now out of business...)

Program monitor blurry but source monitor is clear

Please...I have imported tifs at 1280x800, and they look clear in the source monitor, but when placed on the timeline, they look slightly blurry...noticeably blurry. Video does the same thing. What setting am I missing? Thx.

Sorry Jeff and Jim...actually OTS means over the shoulder...we used it in tv news...so it is a box that is superimposed like a picture in picture over the shoulder of an anchor...and we need it to be 4x3, or so we thought, because that is close to the size that the powerpoint is kicking out...hence the 1280x800. I can make the OTS any size we need to, just so it doesn't squish the words or distort them.
So the final product is widescreen 16:9, with a 4:3ish box (OTS)...all being used for online classes, final screen size yet to be determined, in flash.
That said, I cannot get a clean image in my timeline, even though the source monitor shows the image very clearly.
I would love to email one of the powerpoint images to someone who is willing so that they might load it up in premiere and help me out with the correct numbers for correct sizing out of powerpoint and into premiere.
I'm an old AVID cutter, (story editor for food network and HGTV for the last 8 years) trying to switch it up because premiere CS3 seems pretty powerful as I get more and more into it, and my avid seems slower than usual, undependable.
I dont know the terminology as well as I should, depended on IT guys a little too much on our production systems...now I am on my own with relatively new machines and, well, it FEELS like I am on my own! any help you could provide, it goes without saying, would be a Godsend. Willing to learn. Need to get this project fixed, and soon. thx.

Clearing & Populating a Hierarchical Tree

I have a canvas with two blocks on it, one being a multirow base table block (BLOCK1) for arguments sake) and the next being a tree block (TREE_BLK). The tree is populated using query text and not a record group.
On a WHEN-NEW_RECORD-INSTANCE of BLOCK1, I call a program unit which:
1. set query text to NULL and populate the tree again (My attempt at clearing the tree)
2. set the query text to the select using BLOCK1's new rocords values and populate the tree again.
The problem I have is that when I come into the screen, the first record works successfully and the tree is populated. When I navigate to the 2nd record (which I know should return nothing for the tree's query text therefore blank tree), then it clears the tree successfully, but then populates it with the previous record's tree nodes again.
Is this normal behaviour for a tree, or is it supposed to be blank if it's data query returns no records?

If you have populated the tree manually, and the Record Group and Data Query columns are null, then you can use ftree.Populate_Tree to populate the tree with a null tree. This effectively clears it.

Solution Monitoring System Overview

There are non-production systems showing in the system overview in Solution Monitoring. They are dev and QA systems that are in the logical component. How do I removc them?

Solution Monitoring overview just displays the the solutions and the number of systems rated green, yellow, red, etc for
Earlywatch Reports, System Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring, and Open Tasks.
As you can see Solution Monitoring is based on Solution, so whatever systems you have included in that solution will be included in the solution. The overview is an overview of the solutions in Solutin Monitoring. This is why it is called Solution Monitoring.
If you are talking about System Monitoring, or BPM or EWA, etc, then if you don't want non-production systems included, then they should not be included in the solution, or the status of those systems in the solution should not be "Put in Solution".
Perhaps you have not set up your solutions in the best way?

Performance monitor reports and graphs don't show all the counters that were captured

I've run into an odd behavior of performance monitor that I haven't been able to clear up yet: after I run a data collector set, the resulting report only shows a partial list of the counters that I captured, and so does the graph of that report (but different
items).
For instance, I chose the following counters for the data collector set:
\PhysicalDisk(*)\% Idle Time
\PhysicalDisk(*)\Avg. Disk Queue Length
\PhysicalDisk(*)\Avg. Disk sec/Read
\PhysicalDisk(*)\Avg. Disk sec/Write
When the data collection ends, the report that gets displayed shows all those counters for _Total instance and C:, but then E: only shows % Idle Time and Avg. Disk Queue Length. That's it, the report ends there, even though I also have F: and V: drives on
this server.
If I choose to view the graph of this data collection, it only shows those four counters for the _Total instance.
It took me a while to realize that all the data is being captured, but it's just the display that is truncated. If I view the folder then open the report.html, it actually shows all the data. Same with the graphs. If I select to add counters and add
all the missing counters, they are displayed.
I have searched high and low but haven't been able to find more than one post at ServerFault where someone had a similar issue, but no real solution or cause was provided, so I was hoping that someone here might have an idea.
I also found a variety of articles about missing counters due to registry settings or because the counters needed to be reset, but that's a different issue that doesn't apply in my case. By the way, this is on a windows server 2012 R2 VM (file server).

The counter missing often caused by the related registry value is corrupted, please first refer the following related KB then perform a fix then monitor the issue again.

How to get a graphical overview of my database tables

I am looking for a tool to get a clear overview of my database tables.
the db structure is fairly simple at this moment, and I only need to see the tables with their "links" (foreign keys).
I was not able to find such a tool in the enterprise manager package.

Oracle Designer will allow you to reverse engineer an ERD from an Oracle database. I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't work with 8i Lite.
There are also other products which work with multiple database types. I recall ERWIN was such a product.
