Clearing the iPod touch calendar

I sync'd my calendar from Exchange (via Outlook & iTunes) on my new touch... now I realize this isn't what I want. I've been unable to find a way to clear the touch's calendar now. Ideas?

Go to Settingds>iCloud and make sure that Calender is turned on. If yo want to do other things too like adding contacts, make sure those are also turned on.

IPod Touch Calendar sync with online google calendar?

Does anyone know if there are any plans of making the iPod Touch calendar sync with the online google calendar? I mean; the iPod have the ability to get gmail and it should be really good to have the same functionality with the calendar.
I've read about some 3'rd party software that do this for me, like a calendar gateway. It would be really nice if the iPod could do this by itself. Is it possible?

i asked a similar question yesterday for synchin google calendar and contacts via web/wifi without dock.
The response I got was to check out Re: problems synchin gmail contacts & calender to touch via web/wi-fi NuevaSync. It's free and it can sync the Calendars and Contacts.
Have not tried it yet myself but will do when I get 5. Let me know how you go...

HT1386 I am trying to sync my iPod Touches calendar to my MacBook Pro calendar. I have been successful at syncing the events from my MacBook Pro's iCal to the iPod but haven't been able to sync the events from my iPod to my MacBook Pro. Is this possible?

I have an iPod touch that I often use to manage different events for work. I have been able to sync the events on my calendar from my MacBook Pro to the iPod touch successfully using wifi. What I really need to do though is sync my iPod calendar events to my MacBook Pro calendar. Is this possible? How do I set this up? It would be a huge help if I could transfer the events on my iPod calendar to my computers calendar. I currently have the wifi sync option on and have turned on the sync calendars option in iTunes. Thank you for your help!

Hold the Option key on your keyboard, then click the Sync menu in the menu bar:

In the Finder, choose Utilities from the Go menu.

Sync end date of custom recurring events? - Outlook to iPod touch calendar

I've been having a particular problem with my "nonstandard" recurring appointments in Outlook that give rise to a custom recurring definition in the iPod touch I just got (software 2.1.1) when I sync with iTunes (8.0.0.35) on Windows XP by USB - I can't seem to get the end date (when there is one) to be sent to the iPod! So, for example, if I have a standard once a week event over the summer, it ends properly based on the end date, but if I have say an event every Monday and Thursday over the summer, the iPod has a "custom" recurring event definition created, but no space and no evidence of the end date, and the events keep getting shown after the Outlook defined end date (continuing after summer in this example).
I tried something called CompanionLink to see if I could get a more thorough sync, but it seems to rely on the iTunes sync. I had become used to Pocket Informant on my old Pocket PC (until the Pocket PC was just crashing too often to be functional, thus the recent purchase of an iPod touch - which even if the calendar won't sync completely has allowed me to move enough programs off the Pocket PC to have it trimmed down and working better again!). I hear the people that make Pocket Informant are working on an iPhone / iPod touch version.
In the meantime, any suggestions about the lack of end date syncing for custom recurring events, other than waiting for an Apple update (how, by the way, can i make a request to Apple? - it wasn't too clear to me on this website).

Does the ipod touch of iphone support Calender groups?

I use an ipod touch 1.1.4 firmware. In my iCal calendar, I have 3 groups. When I sync the iCal calenders with the ipod touch in iTunes, the ipod touch displays the events fine, but classifies them all as one group. Do the ipod touch or iphone support multiple groups in the calendar? If they don't is there a way to get around that limitation? Thanks.

No need to hope for a 3rd party solution - this will be a feature of the v2.0 software ($10 for your IPT, available in "early July", perhaps at the same time as the 3G iPhone launch on July 11th).
We can "see" right now. Have a look at this image (taken from this page of the Apple website), which clearly shows syncing with multiple calendars from iCal.

I do not have Outlook and really don't need it, but I need to sync my iPod Touch calendar so it is backed up. Is there another calendar program I can use that will work with Vista?

My iPod Touch calendar no longer receives updates

My iPod Touch calendar no longer receives updates from the calendar program in my MacBook. Used to work fine, via iTunes synch. Have I inadvertently turned that function off?

I too have an older iPod. I do not care much for iCloud or any cloud so what I do is send my calendar to my e-mail and then open it on my iPod. I send Contacts using Adobe and, for me, it works fine. If you are in business and use these apps frequenctly I do not think this would work well for you. Only two options, iCloud or a Server.

Can the iPod Touch Sync with Windows XP

I am contimplating purchasing an iPod Touch to replace my Palm Pilot. Okay, you can stop laughing now. I intend on using the iPod touch for mostly contacts and calendar events. I also realize there is no way to transfer my current information on my computer to the iPod Touch. But is there a way / program that I can load on to Windows XP that will sync information?

If you purchase a 3G or later iPod you can go to icloud.com (requires iOS 5 or later) on the computer and access/edit/add contacts, calendar and maybe some other stuff.

Can I sync my Lotus Organizer 6 (XP PC) with the iPod touch?

I wish to purchase the iPod touch and would like to use my Lotus Organizer 6.0 on my PC (Windows XP Pro) as my work calendar as I have been using it for many years. Will the PC sync with the iPod so that calendar and address information can be exchanged?

Why do Outlook calendar invites appear on my iPod touch calendar but not my icloud calendar

Why do Outlook calendar invites appear on my iPod touch calendar but not my iCloud calendar? I use Outlook at work and if I want to add events to the calendar on my iPod Touch which I use as a PDA I simply create the event in outlook select my gmail email address and invite myself. The event appears on my iPod Touch...all well and good...now with the advent of iCloud I would like to see all events on my iPod calendar on the iCloud calendar that I view on my PC. At the moment only events that I have added directly onto the iPod calendar appear on the iCloud calendar.
I have messed around abit syncing and unsyncing, Turning the Calendar on and off in the iCloud setting on the device but nothing is really working. Any easy to follow suggestions or is it a trip to the geniuses in order?

Not sure why you'd want to alter an artist name anyway but...
In iTunes, right-click selected track and click "Get Info" then edit the artist field and possibly the album artist too (edit as in... make sure they have a value (the correct artist name)). Delete the faulty track on your iPod and then re-upload the new one.
Another thing is that if you left the music player open on your iPod when you add the new track, sometimes I find that it doesnt find any of the new songs you add until you close and then re-open the app on the iPod.

When connected to my 2014 Buick Enclave, the iPod touch automatically begins to repeat songs.

Hi - When connected to my 2014 Buick Enclave via USB, the repeat function on the iPod touch automatically engages and the songs repeat. I have to manually disengage the repeat function to finish an album, then do it again when the next album begins to repeat. There is no "repeat" button on the Enclave's system, only "shuffle", which works fine with the iPod. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

First I would go the the car system's support site.
Next:
- Reset the car system.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

Using the I touch calendar...with windows is it possible

I am trying to figure out how to use the i touch calendar option with my windows computer. I located the ical but it seems to only be available for Mac users. Am I mistaken or is there a program available for me?

Your iPod touch will be synced with calendar data in Microsoft Outlook on your PC.

How loud is the sound generated by the iPod Touch transducer?

My question is, at what distance from iPod Touch will I be able to hear the transducer sound for a calendar event?
Like many others, I would like to switch my calendar and addresses from a Palm PDA to an iPod Touch device.
I need an alarm sound for a calendar event to remind me that its 20 minutes before I need to leave the office to be on time for an off-site customer meeting.
I have used a Palm T5 PDA, which has a low, medium or high alarm sound settings. Even when the alarm sound is set to low, it can be easily heard by and annoy my neighbors in adjacent cubicals.
Is the iPod Touch sound loud enough to remind and get me to the meeting on time? head

Unfortunately there is currently no way of having an audible alert for a calender event.
The calender app however does allow a visual alert before the event.

since there is already audible alarms using the transducer, i'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to add this feature to the calender app as well.
Regarding the volume of the transducer, it is generally loud enough to waken me in the mornings.

How to view ipod touch calendar on my PC

Apparently my calendar is backed up because I had to restore and it was restored. All I want to do is look at my ipod touch calendar on my computer. I don't want to sync it to Outlook, I just want to look at it and possibly edit it on my computer. Can I do that? How?

It is designed to be synced with your computer.
You should be syncing to outlook. There is no way to look at it on the computer, if you refuse to sync it as it was designed.
