Clearing up a question

I've heard a lot of comflicting opinions about this problem so I was wondering if somebody here could clear it up for me.
Does the built in USB hub work with windows machines? I'm not planning on using high current devices, just USB keyboard and mouse to tidy up my desk.
If somebody knows it would be really helpful.

The NOTES are set. I have a summary page at the end of each section. Users can do several things there, one of which is now adding a note. NOTE text appears near the footer of each page. It is preset to be a note so all the user has to do is tap it and type in what they want. It's a small but beneficial adaptation. I eliminated the pop-over button.
A book with a lot of questions is shaping up nicely.

Clearing Ram Technical Question

The source of my recent bother has been an apparent lack of RAM
Now it seems that for some reason my imac is not clearing RAM when I quit software
Only a restart seem to help ...which is a pain cos one would expect the OS to manage the RAM properly
I'm trying some software called iFreemem which makes a big difference
Anyone have any sulotions to this cos if there is one then I'm back in the happy L9 camp again

Make it a habit to start Logic first after booting, before any other program. RAM can get fragmented if you have several apps running and then quit , (Web browser, PDF viewer, etc).
However, a restart should not be too much of a chore, an Imac should be able to reboot within a minute. If it takes much longer, you need to unleash some maintenance utilities, or take a hard look via activity monitor on what apps are actually running (in the background).

Clearing up Sync Questions

Hi All,
This is my first post here, glad to be here and i apologise if i ask the same questions already answered 100 times before.
I manage a BES server (4.1?) that serves nine BB Bold's.
My boss is going over seas for an extended period and will not be able to easily or readily connect his cached mode exchange 2003 email client to get new emails, he has been told that it is possible to sync mail that arrives onto the blackberry to your outlook client, is this true?
I have followed instructions located here but these do not work, that is end result is not mail items syncing, only calendar, tasks, contacts and memo pad – no inbox/mail items. http://www.ehow.com/how_5507826_sync-blackberry-using-desktop-manager.html#
Why does the black berry desktop manager require internet access when you want to sync your blackberry to your outlook client?
Is it possible to sync mail items from the blackberry to the inbox of the outlook email client?

As you've found out already, the Desktop Manager does not sync emails. It will only synchronize those 4 databases that you mentioned earlier.
Emails only synchronize OTA if you're on a BES, hosted BES.
You could try using the Desktop Redirector. Check out this link

Does your boss not have international roaming and that's why he won't have access to the email on his BlackBerry?

Calcscript Clear and Copy question

Hi there,
I am thinking of copying a scenario to another using a calcscript but I wonder whether I need to clear it first in case there's residual data but then I am not sure if it's really needed? I will use the sample.basic to illustrate.

Logically, if there's some residual data in "Budget" that's there, shouldn't it be overwritten by what is there in "Actual"? And in case where "Actual" has a #missing value, would #missing be copied over too? I am trying not to have to do this:

CLEARBLOCK ALL;
ENDFIX
"Budget" = "Actual";
ENDFIX
Any thoughts whether I could save a few minutes not to have to clearblock?

doing it the way you plan, if you don't clar first you could have residual data. If you instead use the datacopy command, I believe it will copy over everything including missing

JMS (Clearing a queue) question

Everyone:
Is it possible to clear a queue from the J2EE admin panel.
Is it possible to clera a queue in any manner other than writing a JMS program to perform that funciton?

But a workaround could be to remove and create the queue anew - it's just that simple and probably deserves a try.

DS Enhancement Question !

Hello experts,
I wanted to understand some basic concepts of DataSource Enhancements., I am sorry to put such kind of wide and often asked thread again. But unfortunately i couldnt find clear understanding form the existing Posts and from SAP help site.
Here are my first Phase questions !
1) Can we do Enhancement to All the DS? ?Means those form SAP given and ZDS ?
2) 0DS ( SAP Given ) are build on multiple SAP Tables..Correct ? so if i have to enhance that, where do i specify those Joins of Tables ? The same way when we create ZDS ( View based ) and for view we define conditions and Joins.
3) Which DS are not Enhanceable ? If any ?
4) Can we do enhancement to 2LIS ...DS?
i guess let me first clear these basic questions..and then i have some more for each..

Can we do Enhancement to All the DS
1.standard datasources are usually based on FM and SAP not allow us to change them .So we enhance them by adding some fields in there append structure and then populating them via cmod code .
2.Sometime for Z data sources also we do the same thing if changes in there basic struture are not feasable .
ex: A datasource is based on a view and we just need one more field from some other table then instead of changing view itself we just enhance data source for 1 field .
0DS ( SAP Given ) are build on multiple SAP Tables
Usually they are FM based .
We can't change them .So to enhance them we create an append structure and then add our fields in that .After extraction from FM or Tables CMOD code will get excuted and will populate fields from Append structure .
Which DS are not Enhanceable
All datasurces with a structure can be enhanced .
Can we do enhancement to 2LIS ...DS
yes .You can check lots of threads in SDN for the same .

Bank Statement Clearing - Multicash

Hi FI Gurus,
This is in regard with Automatic Clearing of Incoming payments from
customers while uploading Electronic Bank Statement (Format Multicash)
for Germany.
We have setup the system to clear the Customer open items while
uploading the bank statement on the basis of document number. Bank
Statement comes with the Customer invoice document number and the same
gets cleared automatically after uploading the statement.
Customer Invoice Document number comes at field 18 in the bank
statement. An eg is herebelow where 100000034 is the Document number:-

Now, the issue is to achieve the automatic clearing for the Cutover
open items. Since the cutover open items will be uploaded with the new
SAP Invoice Document numbers and Bank Statements will be coming with
old customer inovice document numbers, there will not be any automatic
clearing of these items.
Kindly suggest a wayout to clear these cutover open items while
uploading the bank statement. Would it be possible to clear the items
on the basis of Reference no. where old document number will be given
while posting the document in SAP and hence the Reference no in SAP and
document no in bank statement file at field 18 can be matched.

The Posting date is not defined in the BAI file. The program should pick up the statement date in the BAI file and populate the posting date with the same value. In reading through the documentation for the program RFEBKA00 which is run via FF.5, I discovered that the include program RFEKA700 deals with BAI format. The file that is downloaded from the bank, contains multiple accounts and their respective activity for that respective day. When we import the file, all the other accounts are handled correctly. That is to say that the posting date that gets populated in the clearing document is set to the statement date from the file. The issue that we are facing has to deal with the last account being sent in the file. On this account, the activity is missing the posting date so the system sets the posting date to the current date. When I review the line items from the file in FEBA, the last activity item in the file has the correct posting date, the rest of the activity items do not have the correct posting date. I can review this information by looking at table FEBEP. On the last records for the Bank Statement Date's file, associated with the last account in the file, field BUDAT does not have anything populated in the field.
I am at a total loss as to why this would work for all the other accounts and only the last activity item on the last account when I process the file.

New to OBIEE- Questions on OBIEE infrastructure..

I am very very new OBIEE technology. Our company decided to change the technology to OBIEE. So, We are in process of understanding the architecture and infrastructure for the same.
I have couple of questions:
-the BI web server is the piece that has to run on Windows or It can run any machine?
-can the BI server and the BI scheduler server run in the same physical server (AIX) ?

-the BI web server is the piece that has to run on Windows or It can run any machine?Yes, OBIEE installers are available in different flavors like windows, LINUX, Solaris etc. You can have your BI web server (SAW) on any of the supported envn. Its not mandate to have it just on windows..
-can the BI server and the BI scheduler server run in the same physical server (AIX) ? Yes, both can run on same server. This is general practice..

I believe you can set up auditing database and then run a report to see the performance of the reports.

I am not clear about your question. If you mean row level security for reports then you can apply row level security at universe level.

Free cases issue + question

I just watched the PC, and Steve said that we would receive free cases. He said that next week Apple would have a site up that allowed you to choose which case you wanted to get for free. Bumpers aren't the only ones that are being given away. There will be some other cases from other brands that will be available. This is due to the factory not being able to produce the bumpers quickly enough.
Hope that clears up some questions.
Here's a question of my own. Will we be able to input, say, an order number and be able to register for a case and have them send the case together with the phone or will we have to register after the phone is sent?

comes off every time, but it works great as I haven't had too many dropped calls. Funny thing is most of my dropped calls is because I am in part of a crappy area for AT&T.

Question about JSP, XSLT and JDOM

hi, folks. Let's say within page1.jsp, i have <jsp:include page="page2.jsp" flush="true"> On the other hand, i have a servlet helper class which queries the database, then converts the ResultSet object into a JDOM Document object. My question is i want to make the transformed output of the JDOM Document and XSLT template to be a partial content of the page2.jsp page. How can i get this done properly? I have no problem of doing the transformation, but just dont know how to concatenate the output with the rest content of page2.jsp. Hope i clearly explained the question. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

ASMA question.

Hi,
I am working on a simple File to File interface without design objects i.e. tunneling interface. The intension of the scenario is to pick up a file from source and put it in the target directory. My question is do we have to use Adapter specific Message Attributes in the Sender and Receiver communication channel.
As per my understanding these ASMA is used when you want file name, directory name and soon from the source and do some manipulation and send the file name to target system.
Can some clear me the question please?

Hi Azias,
No v dont need to use ASMA for simple picking and posting of a file. Your understandjing s correct. ASMA is used when you need some of the adapter specific attributes such as file name, Directory path etc. Then only do v need to select the option in the communication channel.

Creating a Fillable/Savable PDF: simple question?

Hello-
I'm new to Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer. I have just created my first form with fillable fields in LifeCycle to send to my company's clients for them to fill out, save the form with their responses in the fields for their own records, and then attach the completed PDF form to an email to send back to us with their responses in the fields. I cannot figure out how to do this. The closest I can come to this is putting a "Submit by Email" button in the form which generates and sends an XML document which is not what I'm looking for; I need the actual filled PDF form sent back to me from the client.
I'm sure this is an easy task, but I have been unsuccessful with figuring this out on my own or finding a post in the forum which clearly answers my questions.
I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro and LiveCycle Designer ES version 8
Can you help me? I'm lost.

I opened your attached Send CC Email.pdf file in LiveCycle Designer to take a detailed look at it and found the setting you referenced under the Submit tab:
I understand this location and setting the Submit As field to "PDF".
I then opened your form itself to see if/how the submission would work:
This is where my confusion starts. When I click on the Send Email button in your example document, I only get an error message:
What was supposed to happen?
If you reference my original post, I'm looking for a way to create a PDF the user may 1.) Save electronically with the PDF document's fields filled for their own records and 2.) send the completed document back to my company with their responses.
I don't understand how your suggested solution is supposed to work to allow me to accomplish these two objectives.
What am I missing?
