Click and copy not working in 5.1.4

10.7.3, Macbook Pro, 8 gigs ram.
After updating last night I now find that on most sites I am unable to click and copy text. Not all sites, it works on Wiki but for example on this page I am unable to copy "Communities" from the top of the page. Nor can I click and copy from this post as I compose. Does anyone have a solution? Is this just me or are others experiencing it as well?

False alarm I hope.
Restarted Safari and it now appears to be working correctly. Fingers crossed.
I have been running Activity Monitor in the background and it appears the memory issues have been solved. Safari Web Content is not using a progressivley increasing amount of memory.

Well, this is an unexpected problem.
Just this morning, it seems my computer is refusing to let me click and drag with the trackpad button. I can click and hold, but when I move my cursor, say in a menu, nothing is highlighted. For sliders for volume, clicking and dragging does nothing. I can't highlight text. It's getting very annoying. It won't work when I tell just the trackpad to click and drag as well (not using the button).
My hands have been a little "waxy" since I've been sick, but the mouse works perfectly otherwise, so I don't think that's the problem at all. Any suggestions? Please tell me my 'book isn't goin' bad. >>;;

That seemed to work! After shutting down and taking out the battery, I cleaned my keyboard and computer, too. Seems to work now Thanks!

Click and drag not working

It's not working for any application. It is enabled in System Preferences, and I have restarted. I'm running Yosemite on a 2008 MacBook, and it has been working fine until now. I'm not sure if this is related at all, but the issue began after unplugging a projector that was connected. The projector automatically reset some of my display preferences, but everything else went back to normal after disconnecting it.

That seemed to work! After shutting down and taking out the battery, I cleaned my keyboard and computer, too. Seems to work now Thanks!

I'm using Firefox 4.01 version, with Yahoo!BrowerPlus 2.9.8
In Firefox version 3xxx, I was able to click and drag the attachment when I compose email(Yahoo!Mail). But with this version 4:
- when I click and drag a photo to my email, it open the photo instead of attach the photo.
when I click and drag a PDF file to my email, it ask me to 'Save' or 'Open with Default PDF reader'
Please assist on this issue because this function is really useful.

Hey i have a problem, my click and drag IS enabled without drag lock however i am still unable to drag, any tips or hints? im currently running OS X v 10.9.1

I think you need to put the mouse cursor in the top of the window that you want to drag...

You should copy everything from your old comptuer to your new one.

I just installed the new firefox for Mac OSX 10.6.8 and when I select an image on a site (right click and copy) and paste in Photoshop 5.5, the image lightens. It does not do this in Safari.

Firefox, Safari, and PhotoShop each handle embedded color profiles differently. For an add-on that makes it easier to experiment with Firefox's color management options, you might be interested in: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/color-management/ Color Management :: Add-ons for Firefox]. I haven't tried it myself.

Why does the "fix" for firefox copying and pasting not work?

I did the fix a few times and restarted firefox, with no success. Also, I installed the latest version of firefox and it is slower now. I have to use firefox for school, otherwise I would just find another way.

In what way is Firefox slow?
Is this all the time or only with loading web pages?

Iphone and ipad not working with USB3?

for some 3 months now, when I connect my iphone or ipad to the pc nothing happens.
I tried to look it up in the device manager and it said: Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is an older USB device and might not work with USB3.0
Plug the device into an available USB2.0 port and click next. Otherwise, click cancel.
Anyone had the same problem? Any solution that doesn't require being a computer engineer?

I used to simply plug the iphone or ipad and a folder will open giving me choices of what to do (open the device, copy pictures...) nothing happens anymore on both ipad iphone, I can't access them to copy the pictures, videos...

Click to call not working with Firefox 31 in Windo...

I have a problem with Click to Call in my new computer.
Windows 8.1
Skype 6.20.0.104
Click to call 7.3.16540.9015
Firefox 31
Click to Call not working with Firefox.
With IE11 it ok.
When I directly copy the URL "skype:+48xxxxxxxxx?call" into address field of my Firefox, then automatically opening Skype with only 1 window- contacts, but not opened window with call phone, and not started to call.
When I do this same in IE11 , Skype opened 2 windows ( contacts and call phone) and start call to phone number.
I don't know why. because in my second computer ( this same Firefox, Skype, click to call) but Windows 7, Click to Call working with Firefox.
Please help me.
Maybe someone have a solution ?

Sounds that you have installed a Firefox Beta release and thus are on the beta update channel, see Help > About.<br />
The Beta update channel receives an update twice a week.
You need to install the current release to switch the update channel to release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

Wireless network and bluetooth not working on touchsmart 600

This has not worked since day 1 and I have been using wired internet.
I really need to setup a home network and need to use wireless.
Research on the net has led me to belive I should have HP WIRELESS ASSISTANT on my machine... is that correct?
Everytime I try to download it is seem to be for a notepad... mine is a touchsmart desktop...

Usb composite device is an older usb device and might not work in USB 3

I recently bought one Lenovo Yoga 2 11 laptop running Windows 8.1 (64 bit).
When I try to connect my old Brother MFC-3240C printer using USB (2.0), it doesn’t work.
Below are the steps performed:
Connected the printer to USB 2.0 port on laptop (on the right side). Automatically installed the printer driver (no exclamation mark beside printer icon)
When the printer didn’t print, I tried to use troubleshoot as below:
Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Devices and Printers->Right Click on Printer Icon->Troubleshoot.
It came up with USB composite device is an older usb device and might not work in USB 3.0
Removed the printer and re-installed the driver. It is all the same.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
FYI – the same printer works fine with my older laptops running Windows 7.

Already checked Brothers website for the printer drivre for Windows 8.1 (64 bit).
It says ... The built-in driver is already included with Windows® Operating System or is available through Windows® update.
So, installed the default driver for the printer that is available with Windows 8.1.
Even connected the printer with USB 3.0 port on the laptop, but it is all the same.

I-pod nano click wheel does not work help!

My i-pod nano 1st gen click wheel will not work i have tried restoring,restarting and all the 5 r's but still nothing has happened... there has to be a solution out there somewhere o yea i have also tried taking out the gunk in the click wheel but nothing HELP!

Version in the nano is 1.1; iTunes is 6.0.4.2.
This silly thing "healed itself" the next morning (?!), worked fine for two days, and decided to show the same symptoms this evening, then began working fine again.
Whether it is working or not I can feel the click of the wheel but unit shows no response when the problem is manifesting. So if I am having the problem I can press the wheel any which way for as long as I like and nothing happens -- screen does not light up, unit doesn't scroll, play/pause gives no response, etc.

You dont have any data on your phone yet right?
If you dont connect your device to the computer and
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
after that click okay when it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. Then click restore
after that try again
