I have a HP paviion a6655f, I bought an officejet e 6100 printer from HP six months ago and still cannot print with it. I can print test pages but when online and click print it says choose printer. My e 6100 says it is ready and is set as the default but when I select it or click find printer nothing happens.

Unable to choose printer profile in PSE9

If I choose printer color management in the Color Management screen, the profile is set to Lab color and cannot be changed. I'm running Windows 7 and printing to a Canon i9900. I'm sure I could choose a profile with PCM in earlier versions of PSE.

I click on other in the print job area to bring up the profiles that I have loaded in to Color in Windows Vista.
Is it C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color?
Did you try clicking on the Include display profiles check box? Some profiles are incorrectly tagged as being display rather than printer.

When I crop picture (no constraint), choose print, can print picture 4 x 8

When I crop picture (no constraint), choose print, paper and print size, can print picture 4 x 8 for instance, if choose smaller will cut off part of picture. How do I tell iPhoto that I want the whole picture in smaller size? If I crop with specific size, the same thing happens. Help - what I am missing?

Two choices - crop the photo to the print size (4x8 in your example) and print it selecting that print size on the first print window
Or Print and on the first print window after making the selections click customize and right click on the preview and select fit to frame - this will print the entire photos with white space fill on the sides needed to fit

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

How to print content of attachments in PDF when clicked on print.

I have a requirement where when i click on print the content of attachment present in PDF should be printed instead of attachment symbol. Please let me know whether this is acheivable by any means.This should be done using .NET 2005.

if you have have a bunch of questions, you can have a div tag set up with nothing in it after each question where you can display the answer. then when you click on the answers in the child window, you can do this:
window.opener.document.getElementById('divName').innerHTML = 'the html/text to show';

I am having trouble printing from photoshop CS5. I cannot choose print options. I am down to printing from Preview. I have a Mac OSX 10.6.8 and i am printing on an Epson pro 3880. this is a new problem

I am in the middle of printing project and just recently i am no longer able to choose Print and get paper type and size.
My epson help thinks its a program issue because i can print in preview.
I am using photoshop CS5 with an Epson stylus pro 3880.

I do not see print dialog when I click File Print and thus cannot select a different printer from previous printing.

When I click File Print, no dialog appears. Instead, printing starts immediately so, I don't get to select a printer. At some point in the distant past (with a previous version of Firefox, maybe), the dialog must have appeared I must have chosen the Office Onenote printer. Now, whenever I print a web page, Firefox always uses that printer.
I can change to another printer by editing the config file but, I have to do that every time I want to change printers. That's a bit cumbersome. Is there any way to force the print dialog to open when I click File Print so that I can chose a printer that way?
I am using Firefox 3.6.3 with Windows XP SP3.

I was having this issue, first when trying to "Run" and then after saving the exe and trying from the desktop.
To solve it, I simply right-clicked the exe and clicked Run As Administrator. Its installing as I type.

Steps to recreate
(i) Create new user account and add to any group ( do not log on using this
account)
(ii) runas /user:<new user account> <fullpath>\excel.exe
it will ask password so enter on command prompt
(iii) open any excel document and click File->Print
(iv) verify result (it is failing) it pop ups below error

I have a default set excel is still throwing error. Interestingly winword , powerpoint and publisher are working fine. I am able to print from all office applications except Excel.
Probably excel behaves differently from other office applications.
Probably it is a bug in excel
Workaround : Log on to a system once using newly created account then runas excel using this account then print works fine.
It means something in user profile should be configure to run excel print operation. Could you please somebody help what I need to configure in user profile that makes print operation success?

After click to print on toolpanel, response.redirect will not exit page!

On the aspx page where in either the init or page load I execute the code for the report, it will display, and the toolpanel appears, and I can click the printer icon and the report will print.
It merrily reexeuctes the init and page load for every page in the report, which is insane, but from what I see searching Google, that is just the way it works.
I can live with that, but here is the real problem.
I have three buttons at top of page, each an http redirect to leave the page and go to another. I mean, I have to give the user a way out, right?
They will work if clicked on first entering the page before printing the report.
However, once you have clicked the icon in the Crystal toolpanel to print the report, YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE PAGE! It will not go away.
I even put in code to trap the id of the control clicked, skip the crystal report loading code, included close and dispose methods on Crystal report AND the crystalreportviewer object, even set the objects to null.
Does not matter.
Execution will jump to the button code and hit the response.redirect command. And just stay on the page. The page is still live, you can click the button again and again. Occasionally maybe one out of 30 clicks, it will exit the page.
Note also, because of how Crystal is executing the init and page_load on every page in the report, it executes the page_unload on every pass, too, I discovered that by adding a page_unload and trying to put dispose code there.
Here is the entire aspx page behind code. This is Visual Studio 2010, C#, CR for Visual Studio 13 installed.

If you dont want message to be generated during PO change.Change the following setting.
For eg. u have message type ZNEU.
SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Mesages-Output control-message type -click Define Message Types for Purchase Order
click on :Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order
Delete the entry for operation 2 , for ZNEU.

Just installed 10.6.4. Now clicking on Print&Fax crashes system preferences

Hi all,
Just installed Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and then couldn't print from my Kodak EasyShare 5300 printer. I installed updated software and firmware from Kodak. Still can't print and when I click on Print & Fax in system preferences it crashes system preferences. (Other system preferences options don't make it crash.)
I've repaired permissions and I've unplugged USB and power to printer and replugged and restarted computer and still no luck.
Help! Thanks so much, guys. You're an awesome bunch of folks who have been so helpful in the past. Hoping you can advise me here.

My sister's 5s is having the same issue since yesterday.

When I double-click the gold star to bookmark a site and click "Choose", none of my current folders appear in the drop-down under Bookmarks Menu.

Running 3.6.12 on Windows XP in my brand-new HP 6000 Pro, and when I double-click the gold star to bookmark a site, 5 of my 80-odd folders appear in the drop-down under Bookmarks Menu. But then, when I click "Choose", no list of current bookmarks appears, so I have to bookmark every time under "Unsorted", then drag each bookmark to its correct folder. What am I doing wrong? I use Firefox on my other 2 systems, and every folder appears on the drop-down, just like it should.

I don't use Xmarks, so I don't know whether that is a factor here...
If you use Ctrl+d on a bookmarked page, does the Edit Bookmark dialog appear?
Firefox doesn't have a convenient way to determine the location of a bookmark. One workaround is to use the extension [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/show-parent-folder/ Show Parent Folder] to add a column in the Library dialog showing the location of a bookmark. Then when you use the search function or Recently Bookmarked query, you should be able to discover the location.
The extension shows just the folder name by default. If that isn't unique enough, you can change a setting for the extension so it shows the full path down to that folder. To set this, open the Add-ons page, Extensions category, and use the Options button for Show Parent Folder.
