Click on a picture to open in CS 4

The image will open but add in brushes and actions will not be available. Open CS 4 first with same image and the brushes and actions will be there.
Any way to revert to opening and image, and having it go into CS 3 with all the add on brushes available

Your post is very confusing. You need to tell us about your system and exactly what you are doing and how the message appears.
Chris is guessing that the file was made in CS3 and your file associations are now calling up CS4.
I have never seen that kind of message so I am guessing too!
You can open it in CS3 by right-clicking on the file and choosing CS3 from the context menu.

I can't even right-click (Windows) on the picture and choose Open With and specifiy Photoshop Elements 12. You failed to say which Windows system you have - I can get the "Open With" to work on my Windows 7 64bit system.
When you try to set up the "Open With", are you setting the correct target program?
It's the green one (not the red one) in the above image.
Once you have selected that program, make sure you set it as default so that a double click will open the photo in the editor.

Make a temporary backup of your library (if you don't already have a backup of it) and launch iPhoto with the Command +Option key held down and rebuild the library with options #1, 2, 3 and 6 selected.

Move the com.apple.screencapture.plist file out of /username/Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, log out and back in, and try again.
BTW, use the default 10 point setting for text. Your choice just wastes screen space.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

For instance I view an apartment ad which has various pictures attached. It says click on the pictures to see an enlarged version. FF opens the page however most of the page is blank and the picture appears to be pushed to the right side of the page and shows as if it has been scrunched agains the right side not showing the whole picture.

I see that you have increased some font sizes considerably.
* font.size.fixed.x-western: 20
* font.size.variable.x-western: 22
This can effect margins when the website specifies these as em values and cause content to shift.
If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.
You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.

You can delete this user.js and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

I would open a guest account and see if the problem persist in this new enviroment.
Boot into Safe Boot Mode and see if the problem is present, this turns off third party plug-in's and extentions.
This will give us something to go on and recommend the next step.

i think i have a problem whit my mousse because i have to click many times and then de map with pictures open.
but taping the spacebar is verry helpfull. have to click many times to open the map with fotos en then i can tap the spacebar to see the picture.
its only with the foto's that my mousse dont work so good for the rest i dont have problems.

When I have more than one tab open, if I click on a picture to view, when the window opens to view the photo, firefox crashes. I also notice while looking at a web page, the pinned tabs to the left of the bar are constantly reloading for some reason.

I purchased a season of a tv program. my library use to show how many episodes were in there. now nothing. when i click on the picture the episodes show up but with 2

My library in itunes use to show how many episodes of Eureka season 5 i have. Now there is no number in the top right picture of the TV show. When I click on the picture it shows what episodes are in there but it has 2 # 13's. How do I correct this if at all possible?

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
