Click on object to select - doesn't select?
I'm new to Fireworks - trying it for more or less the first
time.
When I click on something, it doesn't select it. Only seems
to select it if that object's layer is selected first. Is that
normal? Is there some way to get it so that when I click on
something it's selected?

It is if you have single layer editing selected.
Is there some way to get

deselect it.

Triple click doesn't select all when autocomplete appears.
I recently updated to Firefox 34.0.5 (on Windows 7) and it seems like every time I get an issue sorted out, I discover another one. Today, I have realized that triple-clicking within a form or text field does not select all of the text if the autocomplete appears. This has never been an issue for me with previous Firefox versions. This is quickly become a nuisance for me and I would like to get it resolved ASAP. I have tried looking around for solutions, but all I've really been able to find is this bug report:

I've read through that and related reports, but I didn't see a resolution anywhere. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Note: "browser.triple_click_selects_paragraph" is set to true and it works as expected, but NOT if the autocomplete dropdown appears.
EDIT: I have also just discovered that I can no longer delete autocomplete entries by highlighting them and pressing Delete. Clicking the Stamp tool doesn't select the most recently used stamp - Acrobat X
My issue is pretty much what the title says. Clicking the Stamp tool doesn't select the most recently used stamp. According to the Help screens and training videos, it should. I've checked Edit > Prefernces and could not find a setting that adjusted this behavior of the Stamp tool. Does anyone know what can be done to fix this? BTW - It's not just my installation of Acrobat X. Other users at my firm are having the same issue. The OS is Windows 7. Users have administrator rights. Thanks in advance.

So, what your saying is that this function, the ability to select the most recently used stamp by clicking the stamp tool, has been removed, in spite of the fact that Acrobat's Help pages says it can be done (Using Acrobat X Standard > Collaboration > Commenting > Apply a Stamp > Step 1 > Second bullet). I wish they would put it back. It was quite handy.
Perhaps I should adjust my request. Do you (or anyone else) know of a way to use the same stamp several times in a row without having to choose the stamp from the stamps list? For example, if you needed to put a check-mark stamp in several places in a document, it would be a pain to have to go back to the list each time. Is there perhaps an undocumented feature (maybe holding down a particular key while using the stamp) that would allow for multiple stamping?

Pressing cntrl+left mouse click doesn't select multiple rows.

I've got this problem after i migrated my form from 6i to 10g.
In 6i version, cntrl+left mouse click used to work in order to select multiple rows on the screen. But, it's not working in 10g.
Instead, Shit + left mouse click is working to select multiple rows in 10g.
Please can someone help me out with this. I want cntrl + left mouse click to work.

Another option is to temporarily change your view to outline mode, when your done switch back to preview mode. Ctrl-Y or View>Outline {View>Preview} The menu option will change depending on which mode you are in.
And another option, double click on the object in question to place it in Isolation mode. You can now edit to your hearts content. When done, click on the gray border at top of document.
So as you can see there are multiple ways of accomplishing the same thing. -
Master objects wanting to be made selectable
I've applies a picture to my master page to make a watermark for all the pages of my document. This image is about as big as the entire page. The trouble arises from the fact that now, whenever I double-click anywhere in my document, rather then selecting a word, it drops down a sheet asking if I want to make the object selectable. No! All I want to do is select individual words! Is there any way to get Pages to stop thinking that I want to edit the master image?

Try making it selectable, then click Arrange > Send Backward. Then Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.

When i place my photo, the adjustments tab does not pop up, and even when i click image at the top, I cannot select any adjustments-brightness/contrast,hue-saturation, color blance, etc..Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Unable to click on some of the tools - cannot select them.
I am using Indesign CS3 and am unable to click on the selection tool or direct selection tool. Also when I have a text selected and go to edit, I can not click on the font or any other attribute to change. I am able to use the shortcut key A and V to select them, but can not physically select them. This is very frustrating. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I've used the cleanscript, I've deleted the preferences, I have gotten a brand new installation cd (thinking it was the original cd) and tonight I finally broke down and wiped my harddrive and reinstalled the operating system...still doesn't work. Please help!
I'm running a Dell Studio 1737, Windows Vista, 32bit, 4GB Ram, Intel Core Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics card.Wow, thanks. I had this issue also and I never would have fathomed that a desktop theme setting would cause this problem. How unrelated of a solution can you get?
Incidentally, I am running Windows7 Ultimate with Abode Master Collection CS4. It took a bit to figure out where the AERO settings were, but I found it;
Open the Control Panel and go to Personalization and select Window Color (icon at the bottom)
or by right-clicking the desktop and selecting Personalize and select Window Color
or navigate to here : Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Window Color
Then uncheck (disable) Enable Transparency
Optionally, save this as a new Theme, so you can easily find it again.

How do I use just 1 click with move tool (command v) to select layer within group?
I'm on Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Photoshop CS3 10.0.
Is there a way to click just once with "command V" to select a layer within a group?
I used to be able to do it, and on my laptop I can do it now (same OS and Photoshop) but the mac I use for my design work won't do it...I have to also right click and select the layer that is highlighted. I have a many multilayered Photoshop document with lots of groups, and it's an extra time consuming step.

HI. I have itunes 10.6.1.7. When I goto movies i am not able to add and when I click on add file to library and select the file and add its not getting added. When i goto Library it says "feature films and home movies you add to itunes appear in movies in your iTunes library. To play a movie, just double click it". And below are two options for Downloading movies from store and rent movies. Please help.
I get the exactly the same problem with win 7, i rang apple support who suggested i try another machine/or create another account on my machine???? why should i, stupid ipad 3rd gen is now sitting here un syncable, apple support ....tut tut very poor support, its a shame im out of the 7 day period otherwise this ipad would be going straight back, older versions of itunes worked fine, some one must know a fix for this??

Right Click then Copy To does not allow selection of My Computer in Bridge CS6
Just suddenly this started. When I right click an image in Bridge (CS6) and select Copy To, only Desktop and the main folder with my name appears - I cannot select folders and hard drives from My Computer. How do I get My Computer to show up in the window where I can Choose Folder. Am using Wn 7 64 bit. This was not an issue until today.
Here is a screen shot of what I get nowContinuing to research options for utilizing my Time Machine backups has led to the Pondini pages. Great stuff. In there I learned it would be possible to delete individual backups. This might allow me to get rid of the 3 backups which occured after my HD failed... backups of the new HD that are getting in the way of using Migration Assistant.
Here is my question.
In the listing of backups is a alias called Latest. It seems to be pointing to one of the backups that I want to delete. Will I cause a problem by deleting it? Or better yet, is it possible to edit this alias to point to the backup I want to use in Migration Assistant?
Status of attempts to Restore: Each attempt to restore is taking the better part of a day due to needs like sleeping and goiing to work...
Attempt 1 restore to day before HD failure worked but a strange assortment of error messages showed up indicating that the Drive failure was corrupting things
Attempt 2 restore to earlier same day... same result
Attempt 3 restore to 2 weeks earlier... same result
Attempt 4 restore to 5 months earlier... good result but l would like to get much closer
Is it possible to use Migration Assistant to utilize the "corrupt" backup? -
Why can't I open the filter gallery in Photoshop CC 2014? I've converted the photo layer into a smart object, but the filter gallery selection is still grayed out. How do I make it active?

I am having issues with streaming music from iTunes on my MacBook Pro to my audio system through AirPlay. Works perfectly with my iPod Touch. The AirPlay icon appears irregularly in iTunes and when selected doesn't connect. Running latest IOS software.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

"Save as" Options not appearing in Photoshop
"save as" options do not appear when trying to save a PSD file as a PNG, etc. Any ideas? I onoly get 3 or 4 choices and no JPG, PNG, or some of the more common ones.
