Click to call causing error on shutdown.

Since the latest update (I use Windows XP sp3 and Internet Explorer) Skype is automatically opened on Start up. Not my choice so the first thing I do is shut it down until I want to use it. Only problem is that when I shut down my machine at end of day an error box comes up with "c2c.exe application error" then a load of memory addresses with lots of zeroes plus the option to "OK" it and close down or "CANCEL" it and get the program debugged. Got fed up with this every night so uninstalled Click to Call using Revo Uninstaller. So Click to call no longer on my machine but still getting that error every night. Not only that but now it doesn't even wait for me to OK or CANCEL the machine just shuts down.
Any idea how I can get rid of this annoying thing

  • Can't remove Click to Call - causes issues in HTML...

The new problem I'm having with Click to Call it is that if I'm working with an HTML editor (such as TinyMCE or a similar WYSIWYG editor) it adds the little click to call icon. In the source this equates to a ridiculously long string.
You really need to remove Click to Call as a default feature - it gets in the way of my work.

Hi, and welcome to the Community,
Skype is aware of issues related to Chrome with the new Click-to-Call (C2C) add-on released on 16 August 2013.  As you noted, C2C works on IE10, FF23, and Safari.

An associative array is a name-value array. Is that what you want? My guess is not and that you are using and addressing the array sequentially. As is the case 99% of the time in PL/SQL.
Examples (including Oracle documentation code samples) showing associative arrays being used sequentially (such as in bulk collection and bulk binding), is wrong. That is not how associative arrays are intended to be used.

  • Skype Click to Call ERROR

I am running Windows 7 and the problem started right after updating Skype yesterday. I have tried removing it in Safe mode, as well as running CcCleaner. I have tried reinstalling the "Skype Click to Call" and I have tried uninstalling the main Skype application.
Recently there was an update with Skype. I updated the software which seemed to install something called "Skype Click to Call". Every few minutes a Windows Installer dialogue will pop up saying that it's trying to install "Skype Click to Call" but will then stop midway and say the following error dialogue:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
The same error and sequence of events happens if I try to: Disable "Skype Click to Call" from my Google Chrome browser (the plug-in), Uninstall it from Chrome, uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs, and repair or uninstall it from the Stand-Alone installer for "Skype Click to Call".

She has Windows Vista, and Skype now can take up to an hour to finish loading, since the update, and Chrome locks up and crashes.
Trying to uninstall the Click To Call plugin from Chrome, it just hangs while trying to uninstall it, and if you try to uninstall it from Windows it also just sits there Preparing To Uninstall.
The plugin gave JS errors running on my Firefox 8, which disappeared when I disabled it.

  • Click-to-call error

    Hello guys,
Has anyone ever come across this situation before. There is a working Cisco Click-to-call deployment but when a user tries to make a call from outlook  (outlook contacts do not have a 9 prefix  before the contacts)  it fails because it does not have a 9 as a prefix in order to make an outbound call.   The click-to-call application setting has a 9 configured as it’s prefix yet the calls still fails because it tries to call out without  the 9 prefix.
Guys, does anyone have a work-around?
    cheers

You could try an Application Dial Rule
On UCM Call Routing/Dial Rules/Application Dial Rules
I don't know your number format but something like this:
    Number of Digits: 10
Total digits to be removed: 0
    Prefix with Pattern: 9

    Hi,
For this issue, please check the event viewer to see if some error log appeared when the issue occurred.
It seems that it was caused by corrupted user profile.
I suggest you use other account to test it.
If the issue still persists, please photograph the error message and collect crash dump file, then upload here via skydrive or similar network device and share the link here for further research.
To collect the crash dump, follow these steps:
First enable app crash dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and importing it:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\localdumps\explorer.exe]

  • Skype's Click-to-call crashing & clashing with web...

    Hi,
I'm working on implementing a WYSIWYG editor to one of my sites. Sadly, Skype's Click-to-call plugin wreaks havoc with it (tested on Chrome).
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Load Chrome with Click-to-call installed.
    2. Go to http://jsfiddle.net/gabito/jnSPf/6/
    3. Starting typing some text in the right window and observe how the browser crashes and the height of the textarea is completely wrong (since node.offsetHeight and node.clientHeight are both being returned as 0).
    4. Disable Click-to-call, reload the same page and watch how it all works nicely.
The code that's causing the crash with Skype is adding an element to the DOM, measuring it for resize and removing it again. Whilst this isn't the most efficient code, it shouldn't cause the browser to crash like this, and it doesn't unless Skype Click-to-Call is installed. Since Skype is a popular plugin that many users will have installed, this presents a problem for us.

    Hi Claudius,
Firstly, thanks for the reply.  I too am using Chrome 24 and Skype Click to Call 6.6.
The crashing doesn't seem to occur every time but happens often enough to be worrying. Basically, try refreshing the page and typing some text into the box on the bottom right window (where the image is placed).
The other issue which I mentioned - the size of the text box being measured wrong - occurs every time without fail.
Without Skype: (i.e. how it should look)
    With Skype (height calculated incorrectly):
This is the message when it crashes:
To clarify: there are no other extensions enabled when reproducing this error, other than Click-to-Call.

  • Wmiprov.log - WDM call returned error: 4200

I have swtiched to an ASUS motherboard, but I have a feeling that it may be a problem for other nForce motherboards as well and I know that you guys are always on top of things in here...and I was hoping that you could confirm or deny my theory. There was another person in the ASUS Forum that has this same thing happening, so at least I know that it is nForce + 3.13 driver related somehow.
Windows XP Pro - I've noticed that my A7N8X-E is logging WMI errors in the file c:\windows\system32\wbem\logs\wmiprov.log. The error message is logged every ten seconds and states this exactly:
    (Thu Feb 19 22:52:00 2004.105546) : WDM call returned error: 4200
    (Thu Feb 19 22:52:00 2004.105546) : WDM specific return code: 4200(Thu Feb 19 22:52:00 2004.105546)
To troubleshoot where it may be coming from, I tried a few things:
1). Started in Safe Mode. It was NOT logging the error.
2). Started in regular mode with all startup applications disable, it WAS logging the error.
3). Disabled all extra devices in Device Manager, still logging the error.
4). Uninstalled the 3.13 drivers, the error logging stopped.
5). Reinstalled the 3.13 drivers, the errors started logging again. In fact, I checked the file right at the point in the driver installation where it pauses to tell you about the dangers of the IDE drivers and it was already logging the errors.
Does anyone else have this occuring on their motherboard? I would really appreciate it if you could check. If not, does anyone know what might be causing this error to logged.

    Hi Axel,
In my case I can completely stop the "WDM call returned error: 4200" by disabling my network interface card.  To try this, right-click on Network Neighborhood and choose 'Properties'.  Then right click on your Local Area Network and choose "Disable".   Then check the log file again in a few minutes to see if it quit loggin errors.  In my case it did stop logging errors.  To test further I uninstalled the nForce onboard LAN and installed a 3Com network card instead.  It also creates the WDM call returned errors as soon as you enable the TCP/IP protocol for the device.
Microsoft says that error #4200 means "ERROR_WMI_GUID_NOT_FOUND, "The GUID passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI data provider".
I don't think this is a serious error and I doubt it causes any problems, but over at nforcershq.com...I have heard from other people that receive the error too.   All of my Intel based machines NEVER receive this error.  There is very little information on the internet regarding WMI errors, but they are designed for driver programmers to debug problems with their drivers...they really aren't meant to be useful for the end user.  I only came across the error because I was running a hard drive activity monitoring program to diagnose a different problem and I kept seeing that I was writing to the log file every ten seconds...so I decided to open the log file to check it out.
In the mean time I have turned off error logging because it will save on hard drive activity.  My system was logging the error every 10 seconds.  You can turn off the logging by running this from the 'Start -> Run' button "wmimgmt.msc"  Once the window opens, right-click on 'WMI-Control Panel' and choose 'Properties'.  Click on the 'Logging' tab and choose disabe.
One easy way to check which version of nVidia drivers you downloaded is to go to C:\nvidia\nForceWin2KXP and look at the next folder name to see if it says 3.13.

I haven't got a clue what they mean though - anyone else know?
This may sound like a stupid question but how do I find out which set of nForce drivers I have installed (I just download them and install them and I can't remember which ones I have on this partition - I rewrite "Drive Image(s)" quiet a lot also so it's not easy to keep track.
In the "nForce Control Panel" I have the Audio Driver version 6.14.0366.0 (3.66)
and Control panel version 1.00.00.036 (3.66). Am I right in assuming the drivers I have are 3.66?

  • Click to Call plugin issues

    Hello Team,
I'm wondering a bit, we are facing to several interoperability issues with Click to Call v8 ES (8.0.2591.0). Many times, we have some Outlook or PowerPoint crashes - sometimes we get complaints about Excel crashes. We double checked in the Event Viewer of the machines where the crashes happened, we see some 1000 and 2000 error codes saying that a specific DLL is crashing the Office application.
The name of this DLL is :
    Msvcrt.dll
Msvcrt.dll is the Microsoft Visual C++ Run-Time for Visual C++ version 4.2 to 6.0. It provides programs compiled with these versions of Visual C++ a typical set of library functions required by C and C++ programs.  These include string manipulation, memory allocation, C-style  input/output calls, etc.
It has also shipped with Windows versions since Windows 2000 for use  by other Windows components. In older versions of Windows, programs  which linked against Msvcrt.dll were expected to install a compatible  copy in the System32 folder, but this contributed to DLL Hell.
Versions of Visual C++ before 4.0 and since 7.0 have used differently  named DLLs for each version (msvcr20.dll, msvcr70.dll, msvcr71.dll,  etc.). Applications are required to install the appropriate version.
    [Source: Wikipedia]
Unfortunately, we can't really see the impact of this DLL on C2C but as soon as Outlook crashes, we see the message: clicktocall.plugin caused the crash - outlook will start in a safe mode.
    Any ideas?
    Regards!

Hi, Ochsenius, and welcome to the Community!
Thank you for your report.  A new release of Click-to-Call ("C2C") was issued on 16 August 2013; have you updated the browser you are using, as well as installed and enabled the new C2C add-on?
Please post back with the details of:
    The computer and its operating system that you are using Skype on;
    The browser(s) and which version of it you are using;
If there are any other numbers which are not recognized other than Santiago, Chile (please clarify; is it all numbers in this locale, or just a few?)
Have you attempted to call these numbers using C2C, but via another browser?   If so, which browsers have you attempted to use C2C and had the same result?
    Thanks!

  • Skype Click to Call for Firefox 7 Installation Nig...

    All info as of Oct.08.
    Hi Guys:
I would like to start by telling you that I'm newbie to this community as not a Skype fan user and haven't used the application since its June version 5.3. I didn't upgrade my Firefox browser on its due time either as rather use Internet Explorer most of the time. All these three are installed on a Windows XP Home SP3 system.
Due to some IE7 settings misconfiguration early this week, I decided to use FF6 again while restoring IE to defaults, which means that plugins and toolbars are disabled or uninstalled in the process. After reinstalation and updating Adobe Flash, Java, etc.. noticed that the Skype Toolbar was definetively lost (uninstalled) to IE.
FF Add-ons Manager was showing the Skype Plugin (still version 5.3) as disabled, not compatible and with no updates available. I then proceeded to upgrade FF to NB7 recently released 27-09, and then applied latest update 7.0.1 released 29-09, but no change to the Skype Plugin upon clicking on update all add-ons and plugins.
BTW, release notes for this FF update 7.0.1 states: "Fixed a rare issue where some users could find one or more of their add-ons hidden after a Firefox update"... making me more confused and to look deeper into FF support, but with no success. I also tried FF Add-on Compatibility Reporter to no avail.
Therefore, it was time to go to Skype and as I usually first learn about latest changes, opened on (blogs.skype.com/garage/windows/) first, to find that there were two releases (an update to V5.5.119 (which I did) and an upgrade to a new build 5.6) on the same date (29-09) of FF's update to fix "hidden add-ons" - what a coincidence to add confusion -.
In both versions' release notes you can read that changes include: "Updated Skype Click to Call browser plugins and the addition of support for Firefox 7"... but no further explanation. Sorry guys but it was at that moment when I learned about that "Click to Call" name (formerly known as Skype Web Toolbars) which totally different from what I was searching for, making me do some more clicks to search and understand the difference between the installers provided.
I believe (and suggest) that if in that blogpost 29-09 in respect of the 5.5 update, the poster (Raul Liive) would have included a link to the Click to Call support page, it would have been a lot more easier for Firefox users to update their Skype installation, even though, it is not true that Click to Call "is automatically installed in Mozilla Firefox" as suggested in that support page. It only installs in Internet Explorer. In order to also install it in Firefox and/or Chrome, you must download its installer from that page.
At least this was my experience which could be taken as a quick reference - Installation Troubleshooting Guide (Provided "AS IS" and subject to Mods' approval):
    - Opened Skype 5.3 and clicked on the Updater to get version 5.5.119 installed.
    - Opened IE7 and verified that new Click to Call 5.6.0.8312 was present in my toolbar.
    - Opened FF7 and verified that old Skype Plugin 5.3 did not changed. Tried to update it again from within the application with no results.
    - Opened Control Panel > Add or remove programs, and verified Skype 5.5.119 correctly shown, but Click to Call was not. There it was still showing "Skype Toolbars 5.3.7280".
    - Closed all applications and proceded to remove Skype Toolbars from Control Panel.
    - Restarted the system and opened CP, IE and FF to verify Skype Toolbars successfully removed.
    - Optionally - ran CCleaner.
    - Downloaded Click to Call Installer and ran it to install it in both, IE and FF, which done   successfully.
    - Opened CP to verify it was then showed correctly as "Skype Click to Call 5.6.0.8312".
    - Opened FF to verify it now shows the plugin correctly as above with no imcompatibility
warnings. Made a test call successfully. Did same from IE.
*Notice: Please note that there is actually only one Click to Call installer (v5.6.0.8312) available at Skype.com, no matter what Skype (supported) version or browser (support for IE, FF and/or Chrome only) you are using. Also notice that when you open your browser for the first time after installing CtoC, a new Skype advertising tag will be opened... Don't worry, it will do it just once. A second advertising window will be opened after your Skype app opens when you make a call from your browser... at least it happened on my first test call and don't know if same for further calls (free account).
Sorry guys - long story - but hope this to be of any assistance to the community.
    Cheers,
    RickCP

Would also add that after doing the above troubleshooting you find any problem with your Click to Call feature just installed, or simply need to install or activate the plugin to another browser (one of the 3 supported for Windows) you are also using, you can run your Click to Call Installer again to choose between the following options provided:
    Change:

  • Premiere CC 2014.1 Blu-ray MPEG 2 export causing error in Sony DVD Architect Pro

I've filed a Bug Report for this but wanted to post here in case it helps anyone else or on the off chance someone can give me a solution / better work around.
Something has changed in the results of a Blu-ray MPEG2 export from Premiere 2014.1 vs those of the previous CC version. The result is that my authoring software of choice, Sony DVD Architect Pro, fails to prepare a disc image giving an error in the final stage of preparation. This workflow has been working fine for 2-3 years.
My work around is to export to original format (mxf / XDCAM EX HQ) and then go back to Media Encoder CC rather than 2014 to produce the Blu-ray MPEG2 file, which works without problem.
Here's a copy paste of my bug report in case anyone with a similar setup has an opportunity to replicate (I'd be very grateful to anyone able to confirm whether its a bug or something specific to me that I might be able to fix).
    ******BUG******
Export from Premiere 2014.1 directly or via Media Encoder of MPEG 2 1080 50i Blu-ray files causes error in preparation of Blu-ray disc in Sony DVD Architect 5.2.
This error does not occur when using the same Media Encode export preset in the previous version of Premiere Pro CC / Media Encoder.
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1. Export Sequence from Premiere
Export, in my case XDCAMEX 1080i HQ, using a media encoder MPEG 2 Blu-ray preset:
    Preset Name: HD 1080i 25
    Format: MPEG2 Blu-ray
    Bitrate Settings: Medium (Target 25Mbps)
    2. Create DVD Architect 5.2 project
Set up as single movie Blu-ray project in DVD Architect:
    Disc format: Blu-ray Disc
    Resolution: 1920*1080
    Framerate: 35 interlaced
Choose the file exported from Premiere
    3 Prepare Disc
    - Select Make Blu-ray Disc
    - Click Prepare
    - Choose Location of iso
    - click next then finish
    Result
Around 50% - 60% through the process the following error is displayed:
An error occurred while preparing compilation
    Details:
    File name: STREAM/00000.m2ts
Status: TSWrapper.dll::CTSWrapper::ProcThreadMain::Failed to read ES file. - The ES file may be shorter than the size described in the MUI file.
    Expected results:
A shiny ISO ready to be burnt to disc and sent sent to eager customers.
Its taken me a full day and a half to isolate problem - someone remind me why I fall for the software updates every time?!
    Cheers

There is a known bug in the H.264-Bluray export. I assume it has nothing to do with your issue, but perhaps it will give you something to consider.
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/6848505#6848505
It appears due to a malformed xmpses file. It creates a problem on import into Encore, and I think it should do the same upon import into Architect or it would be ignored entirely. The test is to delete the xmpses file and see if that avoids the issue.

  • Code 91 - Caused Error: (Object variable or With block variable not set)

    Hi,
We are using FDM 9.3.1. We have enabled batch processing.
We are having following process being followed
    - Batch Loader script will pull the data from dwh table for each entity, scenario, year and period
    - Batch processing is set to serial and processlevel set to Up-To-Check
    - We had following five files created for Location - EMAFF100
    i. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_May-2011_RR.txt
    ii. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Jun-2011_RR.txt
    iii. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Jul-2011_RR.txt
    iv. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Aug-2011_RR.txt
    v. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Sep-2011_RR.txt
Batch loader process completed the processing for May - 2011, Jul - 2011, Aug-2011, Sep-2011.
But for Jun 2011 it has given the following error in the 'tbatchinformation' table and failed at import stage.
    40751.6239236111 1_EMAFF100_ACT_JUN-2011_RR.TXT 2 2 91-Object variable or With block variable not set
When we checked the view error log from tool menu we found following
** Begin FDM Runtime Error Log Entry [2011-07-27-14:58:29] **
    ERROR:

We then re submitted data for Jun period and saw batch process got successfully completed and June data got imported successfully and also rest other processes got through.
Can any one provide exact cause for this error? As we have automated the data load from DWH to FDM And then to HFM. Hence when such error comes it disturbs lot of processing there on. Appreciate your early response.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi SAP collegues,
At my site, BPC Excel created this problem too "Object Variable or With Block Variable not set" .
It turned out that this is symptom of a a dys-functioning BPC COM Plug-in in XL2007 or XL2010!
This is a consequence that your Excel recently crashed while using BPC. And it relates to an Excel Add-in becoming disabled when the applications crashes.  Please check the following.
Note before doing the following, close all other open Excel and BPC sessions.
Within Excel go to File à Options
Select the Add-Ins option on the left
Select the <<COM Add-ins >> option in the Manage drop down, and click Go
Make sure that the Planning and Consolidation option is selected.  If not, mark this box and click OK.
If you do not see anything listed, return to the Add-in screen and select the Disabled Items option, and see if Planning and Consolidation is listed there.
Let me know if you have any queries,
    Kind Regards,

  • Click to call makes Internet Explorer crash

Since Messenger Live is going away soon, i reluctantly switched over to Skype and installed the optional Click to Call with it.  After doing this IE kept crashing and I eventually got a message saying the Click to Call was causing the problem and i should update to the latest version.  I tried updating and still had the problem so I uninstalled Click to Call.  Evidently something was left behind because I na now having problems on particular sites when I try to log in and I am not having this problem when logging in to the same sites from other systems.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of this completely other than backing up to a previous check point?
