Click to Call on Outlook 2007 - CM Application Dialling Rules

Hello,
I would like to ask your help for a problem I am facing with outlook 2007 and Click-To-Call.
I created Application Dialling rules on Call Manager to support calls from Click-To-Call. ex: Add prefix 9 for outside calls,
discard digits for corporate numbers, etc.
All these Application Dialling rules working fine with Internet Explorer, Firefox, MS Excel, MS Word but not with Outlook. It seams that the prefix 9 for outside calls is not applied. If I use Call With Edit and add the 9 everything work.
Is there something that i have to do to correct this issue?
Regards,

Hi and thanks for your reply.
This confguration working well with click to dial on Outlook (using Cisco TSP driver).
I am referring to Cisco Click-To-Call Widget (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9829/index.html) which uses the web dialer from Call Manager.
In order to use it from Oulook you have to right click on a contact and select "Additional Actions" then Call or Call with Edit.
Did you try it with Outlook?

  • Lync 2013 click to call from Outlook 2013 does not have the option for Lync call

    Hello,
We are currently migrating from OCS 2007 r2 to Lync 2013. We are on office 365, but Lync is on premise. After migrating several users the option in Outlook to click to call someone only shows one option, which is to call the person's desk phone. Before there
was a dropdown where you could choose desk phone, mobile or Lync call. This issue isn't happening to everyone. We are using Office 2013 and Office 2010. Please let me know if you have suggestions or if you need more info.
Not sure if this is related, but some people have lost the option to view their contact's pictures.
    Thank you in advance,
    Mitch

    Hi,
Please see the image below, are we talking about this?
If a contact doesn't have a phone number, we surely can't call him.
You can try updating the Offline Address Book to see the result:

  • Click to Call & MS Outlook Contacts

I've searched the forums and while there are many discussions concerning using Click to Call with MS Outlook contacts, none of them have completely helped with my problem. I am an end-user and not involved with deployment of our VOIP system. The UCM version is 7.1.3.31900-1 and the Click to Call version is 7.0.12.0.
I understand how to access the "Persona" menu by right-clicking a name in an email and using "Additional Actions." I've noticed that telephone numbers do not populate unless the person is part of the Global Address List (GAL) in Outlook. For individuals outside the GAL, no telephone numbers are available even though I have a contact. I have verified that numbers only come from the GAL because I have additional phone numbers in the individual's contact that are not available. Is there later versions of UCM and C2C that address this issue? Is is merely a configuration issue?
When I am trying to "Call" from an outlook contact, I noticed under Dialing Options that the "Connect using line" drop-down box only has IPCONF LINE and H323 Line. I assume these are MS entries. Should I expect something from Cisco UCM or C2C to be available?
I am the first end-user to request C2C, and while it is nice to be able to dial from IE, most calls orginate from contacts. Thanks.

I have the Same Issue with Cisco Click to Call v8.0.2540.0 in conjunction with CUCM 8.6.2.21900-5
We're using Windows 7 Professional x64 and Office 2010 32-bit. Error message is the same as aherrera posted.
It seems that Outlook crashes when brought to high CPU-load (or waiting for connection to Exchange), but this usually happens on a random base, more often by Outlook 'Power-users' which are receiving a lot of e-Mails.
At the moment I have three installations with a high amout of Outlook crashes (at leayst once per day), and one (my own installation), which crashes occasionally (maybe once a week).
I'm not sure this has something to do with CUCM. It looks more like an Outlook - Click to Call issue to me.
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Klaus

  • After updating iTunes, iPad won't sync Outlook 2007 calendars - application not found.  Anyone else having this problem or a fix?

    Hope someone can help.
After updating iTunes, Outlook 2007 is not syncing.  Error message reports "no supported calendar application can be found."  Have the same issue when running iTunes in safe mode.  Also rebooted and relaunched iTunes.  No change.  Outlook 2007 is running normally on my desktop (WInXP).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Be

Apologies I've been away on holiday. OK, I've discovered that it seems to be a related problem to iSync as this won't load. I've tried copying the relevant files from a working OS but this didn't resolve it. I've also tried reinstalling the iSync (Using Pacifist) from the original Install DVD and then installing a combo update but this hasn't fixed it either.
I'm thinking my only resort is probably to reinstall the whole OS, or create a new user and transfer all my docs to that one. Any other suggestions?

  • Email sync with Thunderbird or Outlook 2007

Hey all, I've spent hours on this, so I'm hoping someone can help.  I have the Sprint Blackberry Curve, and my laptop O/S is Windows Vista.  I'm trying to figure out how (if i can?) to sync my email using the Thunderbird or Outlook 2007 desktop applications and my Curve.  Right now I have gmail being sent to either Thunderbird (preferable) or Outlook 07, but I want to be able to reconcile my email on the Curve with the desktop application, not the gmail website.  Is this possible?  It was easy to do for calendar/contacts.  This is personal email, so I do not have access to an enterprise server.
    Thank you!

You can do it, but it will cost you a few dollars. Go to http://www.mobical.net and sign up for a free account. It's a full-fledged online PIM, but you can just use the address book if you like. Funambol has a free Thunderbird sync tool that works like a charm, which you can get from http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=149326&use_mirror=osdn&filename=Funambol-Pim-Plugin-win32-v0.4.5.xpi&53502710. Set it up using the info at  https://www.mobical.net/mobical/application/MobicalApplication.html#gwt-faq. Once you've synced your Thunderbird contacts to Mobical, get either the Funambol or Nexthaus SuncML plug-in for your Blackberry, and set it up to sync with Mobical as well. You can get a free trial, after which you have to shell out ~$30 US to buy the plug-in. You can now sync contacts between your BB and Mobical (and other PIM info too if you like).. With the Nexthuas client, you can set up an auto-sync for, say, every 15 minutes (maybe with funambol too, i don't know). So now, you have your Blackberry contacts (+ maybe other data) being wirelessly synced with Mobical every 15 minutes. When you run Thunderbird, you now nice have a nice sync button on your toolbar that you can press whenever you want to  sync Thunderbird and vice-versa.
    Enjoy!

  • "An error occurred sending the command to the application" When trying to open excel document from outlook 2007

Error message "An error occurred sending the command to the application" When trying to open excel document from outlook 2007.
    OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
If I save the document then it opens fine, messing with default file associations does not resolve this problem, I've googled for ir it and some suggest unticking compatibility mode or "run as admin" for excel application, neither is selected in my case.
Outlook is configured to run as remote application from remoteApp server, this error is only occurring for one user, for others excel documents open just fine.

    Hi
    Thank you for using
Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.
From your description, we can Create a trusted location follow these steps
Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Excel Options.
Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click
    Trusted Locations.
If you want to create a trusted location that is not local to your computer, select the Allow trusted locations on my network (not recommended) check
    box.
    Click Add new location.
IMPORTANT   We recommended that you don't make your entire
Documents or My Documents folder a trusted location. Doing so creates a larger target for a hacker to potentially exploit and increases your security risk. Create a subfolder within Documents or My Documents, and make only that folder a trusted location.
In the Path box, type the name of the folder that you want to use as a trusted location, or click Browse to
    locate the folder.
If you want to include subfolders as trusted locations, select the
Subfolders of this location are also trusted check box.
In the Description box, type what you want to describe the purpose of the trusted location.
    Click OK.
More detailed information you can refer to this link:

Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything
I can do for you, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope that helps.

  • After updating to 3.6.10 links in Outlook 2007 no longer open - "An error occurred in sending the command to the application"

After updating to Firefox 3.6.10 this morning, Outlook 2007 can no longer open up links embedded in emails. Normally when you clicked a link it would open up Firefox and send you to the website, but when you click on any link it now says:
General failure. The URL was: [url here]
An error occurred in sending the command to the application.
I don't know what happened. I didn't change any other settings on the computer.

  • Outlook 2007 hangs when Calendar tab is clicked

I am using Windows Vista on a Sony Notebook with Outlook 2007 SP1 connected to exchange server 2003.  I had a problem that my outlook worked fine except for one thing: it hanged whenever I clicked on the calendar tab.  I then had to restart my outlook, there was no other way out of the problem.
Investigating the problem it occurred that when I clicked on individual dates on the calendar displayed on the front screen, the calendar did display EXCEPT when TODAY was selected.  Any other date worked fine except the current date.  This was true for any date, in such a manner that today would freeze up, but on the next day the same date (which was then yesterday) did not hang anymore.
After a long while I accidentally found the solution to this problem.  You will notice when the calendar is displayed in the default calendar view (month/week/day with preview), at the bottom of the screen there is also a part where today's tasks are displayed.  I edited the view and removed the display of tasks in the calendar screen, and suddenly the calendar did not hang anymore.  It appeared that some item amongst the tasks caused the crash, but when the tasks are displayed in the task tab, Outlook does not hang.
So, if your Outlook 2007 hangs whenever you click on the calendar tab, edit your calendar view and disable the display of the task/todo list in the calendar view.  This might solve your problem like it did for me.

If I could only get to the Calendar tab to check the settings again I would. But Outlook is hanging CONSTANTLY. I haven't been able to exit the application normally in more than 10 days - it's always via Task Manager after an application hang. This happened all the sudden - literally - in the last 10 days. I haven't changed anything but I do have automatic updates - wondering if there's something in one of the latest that is causing this? here's the text I pulled from the details:

I'm also having this same problem after trying everything in this thread! Am also using Windows 7 RC 64-Bit and Office 2007 SP1. Problem only started happening about 5 days ago, and it is driving me insane! I've done everything suggested and the problem remains - even after reinstalling the OS!
Please fix your broken software, Microsoft. I'm seriously considering moving to Thunderbird or something - anything - that works.

  • HT204150 Getting error message ("The set of folders cannot be opened") when clicking on "iCloud' folder in Outlook 2007. Lost contacts and calendar in outlook 2007 while installing icloud.

Vista + Outlook 2007 + Icloud : Lost all contacts and calendar in outlook when installing/Synchronizing iCloud. Both still available on iphone and iCloud.
How to get them back in Outlook? Understand iCloud erased them and transferred them in an other outlook account. In Outlook 2007, I can see a folder called "iCloud" but get an error message ("The set of folders cannot be opened...") when clicking on it. I suspect all is there, but no access possible. I assume some Outlook settings are uncorrect, but wonder which settings...?

Well. Working just fine now, since uninstalling and re-installing icloud and syncing.

  • How can I export Outlook 2007 contacts to Leopard Address Book application?

    Hi,
I just bought a MAC and I want to get rid of my PC, but first i want to export my CONTACTS from my Windows MS Outlook 2007 and import them in Leopard Address Book application.
Any way I can do that ?
    Many thanks !

I don't know if doing it with single vcards is the way you want to have it. This can be a quite big task when having many contacts.
In Outlook You can export them as text file. You got to +File - Import and Export+. In the assistent you choose "Export to file". Then you choose "comma seperated (Windows)" In the next step you mark your Contacts folder. Then you choose where you want to save your output file. (I mountet my Documents folder on the mac and saved it there). Finish this assistent.
Now on the mac you open AdressBook. +File - Import - text+ file and choose then your .csv file. Now in the AdressBook a import window opens where you can set all the fields matching to where Outlook stored the information. But basicly it should work without doing there something. Then you can import all Your Outlook contacts in one run.
    Hope this helps You!

  • Outlook 2007 Search emails disappear after single-click

    Greetings,
I have at least two users that have a peculiar problem. For each, when they perform a search of their emails via Outlook 2007 (against Exchange 2010) and receive the results, upon clicking on some emails, the email clicked on will disappear from the search
results instantly. There is almost no time for the user to read the email after selecting it from the search results because it disappears so fast. These are not unread emails and it doesn't happen to all emails they click on within the search results so I
am leaning away from there being a filter applied.
If they re-run the search, the emails show back up again so it doesn't appear that they are truly deleted in any way. The users are not using Cached Exchange Mode.
Again, this is only happening for emails that show up as a result of a search, not in the users' regular inbox or other folders.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
It doesn't sound like an expected experience in Outlook and I didn't reproduce it. Just confirm, are the users using Instant Search or Advanced Find? Please also confirm if the same problem persists on OWA.
I doubt if it's caused by any 3rd-party add-ins, we can start Outlook in Safe Mode:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem when searching in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
We can also have the users start Outlook with the switch "/cleanviews", this will reset all custom views and change back to the default view, test if this helps.

Trying to install Skype click to call and receive the error message, "skypeclicktocall.exe is not a valid Win32 application" XP SP3 32bitSkype V. 7.6.0.105uninstalled and reinstalled Skype. I have a subscription for unlimited outgoing calls and since Skype does not allow importing contact lists from Google, click to call would be very handy.

Windows 8.1 ADK comes with a newer version of USMT (NOT 5.0) and crashes. I learned this today the hard way. I hope Windows 8.0 ADK's loadstate.exe works for restoring to a 8.1 machine.
Yesterday i used Windows Easy Transfer to move from XP to 7, and then re-did the backup in 7 so it would be compatible with 8.1, and it only restores files, not settings.
So i will test USMT 5.0 in this same scenario, because i have 30 machines to change to newer machines with 8.1
