Click to remove an object

Is there a way to set up a preso such that when I click on an object, it disappears? I am looking at creating a preso that has 20 graphics that will disappear in a different order each time I use the preso. Is there a way to do this, or will I have better luck with Flash?

You'll have better luck with Flash or PowerPoint. To do that with Keynote, you would have to have 20! (1x2x3x4x5...x19x20) slides to display each possible permutation of the 20 objects disappearing. This is because Keynote doesn't have a way for it to selectively change items you've clicked on.

    I am using Acrobat Pro 9.0 in a Windows 8.1 environment.  When I attempt to convert a PDF I created to a Form the program freezes once I click SAVE and "Removing unused objects" appears.  I have "repaired" and "reinstalled" the application but the problem persists.

    Hi Mike,
    I do have some startup items;

    I don't have any haxies on anything.
    I made a new user account and tried to replicate the problem but it seems to work fine when logged in as a different user which leads me to think it is a preference in my current user>library

  • How to remove an object from session with JSF 2.0 + Faceletes

    hi all,
    I have a facelets page which calls a backing bean of session scope. Now when ever i click on this page i want the existing bean object to be removed from the session . In my existing jsp i have a logic something like this to remove the object from session
         <% if (request.getParameter("newid") != null) {
              request.getSession().removeAttribute("manageuserscontroller");
    %>
    Now i have to refactor my jsp to use facelets and i should not be using scriplets anymore . I did try with JSTL but the <c:remove> tag is not supported by facelets.
    Can someone help me how can i refactor this code to work for my facelets?
    I really appreciate your help in advance
    Thank you

    Redesign things so that the remove is done in a backing bean method rather than in a view page.Exactly that. I tend to cleanup session variables at the start and at the end of a page flow; generally the end is some sort of save or cancel action being invoked through a button but that is application specific.

  • Right clicking on a flash object causes all flash objects to crash

    whenever I attempt to right click on a flash movie or other flash based object the flash plugin crashes and takes all flash objects including those in other tabs with it. There does not seem to be any other problems with the plugin just that it crashes when an attempt is made to right click on any flash object.

    Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
    If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
    You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
    *disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
    *disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
    *disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • How can I remove an object using Photoshop Elements 7?

    How can I remove an object using Photoshop Elements 7?

    You could probably use the 8 point garbage matte in this situation. I personally think the 8-point garbage matte is a bit cumbersome, but it should get the job done.
    1. Use the Razor Blade tool to place a cut before and after the shot with the bottle.
    2. Select the bottle clip.
    3. Press and hold Shift + Option, then drag the bottle clip up one track. This should create a duplicate clip directly above your original clip. (I'll refer to this duplicated clip as bottle2.)
    4. Locate the 8-point Garbage Matte filter and apply it to bottle2.
    5. Locate the Gaussian Blur filter and apply it to bottle2.
    6. Control click bottle1, and uncheck the "Clip Enable" setting from the shortcut menu. This will disable that clip.
    7. Double click bottle2 to load it into the Viewer. Then select the Filter tab.
    8. For the Garbage Matte filter, you'll notice 8 rows of numbers, these are the current locations for the control points, which you should be able to see in the Canvas. Start with point #1, and click the "+" button in the filters area, then in the Canvas click and drag to move the point. When you release the mouse button, you'll need to reclick the "+" button in the filters tab. Repeat these steps until you've isolated the bottle.
    9. Feather the edge of the matte.
    10. Adjust the Blur amount.
    11. Reenable bottle1. Playback the clip and make any necessary adjustments.
    Depending on your experience with Motion, you might also want to try sending bottle1 to Motion, then use Motion to control the layering.

  • I am trying to remove an object from a photo such as the back of a person's head.  How do I do this?  I have iphoto '09.

    I am new to iphoto and am trying to figure out how to remove an object from a photo (ie the back of a person's head, or an arm in a photo that seems to belong to no one).  I have iphoto '09.

    You need an external editor for that kind of work.
    In order of price here are some suggestions:
    Seashore (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
    There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate.
    You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • Removing from objects  memory

    Hi
    How do I load an object to memory and remove it?
    I mean if I create an object, like newObject anobject = new newObject();
    will it be in the memory? I want to create an object and display it in a panel when a button is clicked and remove it from the memory when another object is loaded into the panel.
    Also, in NetBeans IDE, how do I edit the code in the blue area?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Well, its going to be a wizard like application, and I am creating all the panels required for the wizard in the main frame. All the GUI elements of each step of the wizard will be in a panel. What I want to do is, to remove the initial panel when the next panel is loaded to reduce load on memory.
    I'm thinking if I dont, all the panels will be just there even if it is not seen because I'm using setVisible(true) to show the next step of the wizard and setVisible(false) to hide it when the next button is clicked.
    Is there any other way to do it? What I would really like to do is create the new instance of the panel when a button is clicked and remove the instance when next button is clicked, but this doesnt seem possible.
    Thanks for the help :)

    calls removeCdForTitle(), so nothing is ever removed.

  • How do i remove an Object (aliens/ bullets) from my Space Invaders game??

    Creating Space Invaders game and im getting confused on removing objects from my game. How do you actually remove an object (i.e bullets and aliens).
    I know this isnt the right way to do it, but for the bullets i had an array of the Objects bullets[] and set the x and y coordinates off screen so u cant see then wen they are painted you cant see them, then wen the player fires them, the x and y coordinates change so they come from the players ship till it hits an alien or goes off screen, then i reset the coordinates so they are pasted off screen again. Im relatively new to this so i would appreciate any help. Im going to have to do the same with aliens wen a collision is detected. Is there a way of actually removing an object?
    Here is sum code incase you need to see it:
    public void checkCollision()
              Rectangle playerRec = new Rectangle(player1.getBoundingBox());
              for(int i=0; i<alienRow; i++)
                   for(int j=0; j<alienCol; j++){

    Taking the List idea one step further, you could have a parent Object/Interface that all of your game objects extend/implement. Let's call it GameObject.
    A GameObject would have a draw(Graphics g) function that you call from your paintComponent( ) method, and for example an act( ) function as well.
    You'd have a single List of GameObjects that you add everything in your game into. Now painting is simply a matter of looping over a single List. And in your game logic loop, you could do a similar thing with the act( ) function: your bullet's act( ) would simply move it forward and check for collisions and going off screen. An alien's act( ) function would move it around and maybe shoot a weapon every so often.
    Just an idea.

  • How do I embed a pdf document into an existing pdf so that the user double clicks on the pdf object within the pdf and it opens? i've looked everywhere on various forums and tried attachments - but still not working. Thanks

    I've tried various methods but to no avail. I've tried using attachments to do it and linking it...but to no avail. Anyone know how to do? I'm using Acrobat Pro Version 11. Thanks

    The "embed" feature common to MS Office applications is not applicable to PDF (for the why and wherefore of PDF get comfortable and read the ISO Standard for PDF - ISO 32000-1:2008).
    You can insert other PDF files' pages into any given PDF.
    You can attach files of supported formats to a PDF (of course a PDF is supported).
    You cannot "embed". So, nothing is broken.

    Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0"
    javax.media.j3d.RestrictedAccessException: Group:
    only a BranchGroup node may be removed I would think that this would give you your answer -
    Put a branch group between the transform and the shape. Then it can be removed.
    Another thing you could try: This doesn't actually remove the shape, but at least causes it to hide. If you set the capabilities, I think you can write the appearance of the shapes. So, when you want to remove one of them, write an invisible appearance to it.

  • Need to control rendering resolution when removing overlapping objects in Acrobat X Pro

    When removing hidden information from a PDF using the Acrobat X Pro function Tools | Protection | Remove Hidden Information or Tools | Protection | Sanitize Document, Acrobat appears to remove overlapping objects by rendering the entire page into an image at, from what I can tell, 144 dpi. This resolution is too low for my purposes as small text becomes hard to read both on screen and when printed. Is there a way to control the rendering resolution?

    What I was refering to by flattening is the "flatten image" function in Photoshop. As in the option directly below merge visable and merge down in the layers flyout menu. For some reason running that function or the rasterize function in the object menu in illustrator is the only way I can make sure transparecny boxs dont show up when I print through my Fiery Rip software. Like I mentioned this method works well with individual pages in multiple page pdfs, but I often have to do this for many images at a time. It would be nice to be able to do the same thing in Acrobat to the whole pdf all  at one time.( Of course what would really be nice would be if people would submitt their files correctly to avoid this problem in the first place but that is asking way to much)
