Clickable Hyperlink for Web Address Link in e-mail

It turns out that you CAN put a clickable hyper link into an e-mail message. Starting from a message (you are not on the web page) go to the relevant web page and select the entire addresss including http and pull that into the clipboard.
On the text of the message body, select Edit and Add Hyperlink from the top menu bar. You will get a dialogue box that asks for the web address. Paste the web address there and Enter. Maybe V 10.5 might be more straight forward?
From the actual web page, Hold down the Apple and Shift keys at the same time and press i. It starts a new blank e-mail message and the web address appears as a blue highlited Hyperlink.
Tech Support showed me No. 1 above.

Generally speaking, the term hyperlink is used for click HERE using HERE for the hidden URL address or link instead of just providing the URL address or link - http://www.apple.com/
As Michael provided, a URL address only or link which requires including http:// does not become active with a Mail.app message until the sending process. When including a URL address only, check the copy of the Sent message. The link will be active.
Hyperlinks in a Mail.app message are active before the message is sent.

  • Adding web address link to Pages PDF Newsletter

Hi there gang and Happy Holidaze
I have created a newsletter to attach to bulk emails I send out for our store
    www.renovareinteriors.com
Strange thing is once it is sent you can not click on the link for direct access to the site.
Does anyone out there have a clue as to how I can fix this issue?
    You are all so wonderful.
    Have great times,
    Nancie

    Easy now -
When you want to hyperlink, you have to have a SOURCE in your page and a DESTINATION out there in abstract archival space.
First, with your cursor you click on your SOURCE, whether the source be the glyphs in a word or an illustration or image. Just as long as it is one or more objects in your pagination.
Second, with your link inspector open you
    - select the command Enable as a hyperlink
    - select the command Link to: Web page
    - select URL: your universal resource identifier
You have now set up your SOURCE and DESTINATION, and if you save out to PDF through the first or the second path as explained previously, your hyperlink is enabled.
The principle in PDF is that features added in higher versions are hidden in PDF readers that support lower versions only, but PDF 1.3 was introduced a decade ago.
PDF 1.3 is the base version written and read by Apple Mac OS X.
    Hope this helps,
    Henrik

  • Creating Thumbnails for web page links to larger images.

I want to create thumbnail images for linking to web page linking to enlargements. I'm using PhotoShop Elements 2.0 on a Dell 2400, XP Home Edition with 512mb RAM and 35gb storage available.
The language I read in help sections doesn't addressed the issue I want help with. I believe it addresses saving thumbnails for Windows and Mac using .tiff or .psd format, not the .jpg or .gif I need. It seemed like there should be a way to change the thumbnail format. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Ted,
You can use the ' Web Photo gallery ' as Jodi suggested for a large
    number of images or,
Open your image, click the bar at the top of the displayed image &
reset the size to what you want, then 'File', 'Save for Web' & save as
.jpg or .gif. .jpg gives more options for reducing file size so that
is what I use. Close the image without saving
    HTH,
    Alex,

  • How to hyperlink the web-address in an image file

I have created a document on Keynote, which I saved as "Image" so I can send it out as mail.
How can I make a Hyperlink for our www.com address on the Image file?
I know already that Hyperlink works on PDF, however I don't want to send my document as an attachment, but scroll down.
    thanks

How do you get it to default to the account that the email arrived in.   My exchange server email is my primary account.  But the reply keeps defaulting to my 2nd email account which is a SBCglobal.net account.   Why does it do this and how do I correct this.
Seems like it would be simple and automatically default to the account the mail came in on.   What am I missing.

  • No icon for web address

i recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountian Lion.  Now the web address shows when I go to a website.  However, none of my bookmarks show the related icon for that website.  Any suggestions?

Sig is right, but since it's quick and simple:
You'll need to call up all the websites to have the (fav)icons updated. Or the other way around, Safari shows only (fav)icons of sites which provide one and have been loaded.

  • How can i hyperlink a web address

trying to make a list of hyperlinks for easy access to websites. anyone know how?

    In what App?
You can save Bookmarks in safari like any other browser by tapping on the twisted arrow and tapping on "bookmark"
You can  make a folder in one of your home screens, and fill it with Icons for your websites.
To create a Home screen link in Safari tap on the twisted Arrow, and then tap on Add to Home screen option.  Once you have at least 2 you can drag them on top of each other to create a folder.

  • How do i paste a web address in an e-mail so the receiver can click on it and be taken direct to the site. The sites i paste in are not 'live' - they require the user to paste the address in the browser window

i cannot figure out how to cut and paste a website address into an e-mail so that it is a 'live' link
    how do i do this?

By the way, FredMcD's suggestion is designed to work with the built-in "Email Link" feature which is not on the right-click menu. Instead, you can access it using the classic File menu:
    * tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar > File > Email Link
There also is a button available if you want this on the toolbar or the application menu displayed when you click the "3-bar" menu button on the toolbar. To get that button and move it where you want it, use the Customize feature. See: [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]].
That said, Yahoo's more modern email might have stopped working with that feature, so getting the toolbar back in operation really is the best solution.

  • Is there a way to prevent LiveCycle ES3 from creating hyperlinks on web addresses

Adobe LiveCycle auto generates a link during the conversion process to PDF when a URL is part of the content. I create a link for the that URL using descriptive text. When the form is saved as a PDF, there are two links generated, the one I manually created and the auto generated when converted to PDF.
    Todd.

    Hi all.
Upon further research and testing, the PDF readers, such as Adobe Reader, Foxit PDF reader and even Adobe Acrobat Pro will all by default create links from URLs. All have the option to turn off this feature, but it is on by default.
This raises another issue for me, because the resulting links that are automatically created are not properly tagged in the PDF to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).

  • Hyperlink for web within the dvd???

    Hi all,
Is there a way to place a link for a specific webpage while you are creating the dvd in Idvd ??? so once this dvd is playing in a computer, this link directs you to
    this webpage.
I really appreciate if someone knows any info.
    Peace,
    Pablo

Very possible w/in DVDSP. Not possible w/in iDVD6. Not sure about iDVD'08 (but my guess is no).
I'll also ask around to get an exact answer for you.
In case you're curious, this is how the procedure looks like in DVDSP:
Btw .... keep in mind this link won't work on most set top DVD Players (unless it also has web access). It's mainly intended for playback on computers with web access.

  • When I click on a web address link in Outlook, I am getting a General Failure. An error occurred in sending the command to the application".

When I receive an email with a link to a web page, I am unable to open the link in a browser by just clicking on it. I have to paste it into Firefox in order to get to it. There seem to be several submissions for this problem when I Google, and they point to an issue in Firefox.

I have the same problem after updating to 6.0.2 on Win 7 Pro SP1. Did not have any problems prior to upgrade to 6.0.2. (setting IE as default browser - yuk - allows links to be clicked with no problem)

  • SSL Certificate setup for Web/Address Book/iCal in 10.7 Lion?

I know nothing about certificates. I plan to use my Mini server to help manage my family's computers which are pretty spread out across the U.S. My plan is to use profile manager for device management, host a couple websites (one secure for home security cams) and share address books and calendars. This is as much a geek gadget project as it is "useful" so I understand I may be creating some work for myself
Anyway, can someone walk me through the correct setup for certificates? My research is showing me a LOT of options/parameters. Due to the expense, i don't want to create one just to find it won't serve my purposes.
Also, I think i'm going with RapidSSL...$50 is the cheapest I've come across...hopefully the offer what I need?

I have just spent 30 minutes on the phone to a pleseant chap in Athens, and now have a solution.
We tried several options and the final one worked - so simple.
Click on the apple symbol > system preferences > iCloud > disable contact sync > keep contacts
Check search, in my case it worked for the first time in several weeks :-)
then re-enable contact sync as follows:
Click on the apple symbol > system preferences > iCloud > re-tick contacts > merge contacts
    Search still works
    Hallelujah!

  • When clicking a WEB address in an e-mail, instead of opening the address in Internet Explorer, how do I get Thunderbird to open it in Google Chrome?

Internet Explorer does not work right in my system, so I use Google Chrome.

Thunderbird uses the browser you have set as default. Have you set Chrome as your default browser?

  • Edit web address to a one word Hyperlink

Making an old fashion chocolate malt is maybe easier...
But all I want from hours and hours of searching all threads is how to Edit a web address link.
I have fried all remaining brain cells on how to even begin to word it politically correct.
Lets just take this pages address for example:
    http://discussions.apple.com/post!default.jspa?forumID=876
Now I want to link to it with a simple one word hyperlink: 'NEWS'
I'll describe what I tried countless times and get opposite results.
    I pulled up text edit.
Pasted the address I want to go to.
Control/L- Click to make it a Link.
    Control/L-Click to Edit Link.
Drop Down Box appears with Address I want to go to.
I give up from here-- As all efforts to insert one word ( news ) in that box
in an attempt to make the one word 'NEWS' be the new hyperlink address.
    Logic has escaped the room.
The thing is I never give up,, but now need therapy read bad.
It's similar to the last circuit card pulled from HAL's Memory, with slurred speech.

For those who still don't know the answer...
    You can use old-fashioned HTML:
    <a href="URL">Name<a>
    For example:
    <a href="http://www.apple.com">Apple<a>
    becomes
    Apple
Or you can use the forum-specific method provided in the Discussions Help & Terms of Use:
    [Name|URL]
    For example:
    [Apple|http://www.apple.com]
    becomes
    [Apple|http://www.apple.com]
